STMS config between client

Hello,
I have only one R3 system. But i have two clients called 100 and 200 and those are active with in this R3 system.
I would like to configure "transport route" between these two two clients.
Can anyone please give me step by step guidelines to create such configuration?
Thanks
Ram

Hi Rama Subramaniam,
If you have only one R/3 with two active clients
create virtual two virtual systems for the two clients
then build the transport route between these two virtual systems

  • Differnce between client dependentand client independent config

    Hi guys,
Could some one please clarify me the difference between client dependent and client independent configuration and give me full details
    regards
    Murali

    Hi
There are two types of objects in SAP, client dependent and client independent.
configuration effect client tables called depedent.configuration not effect tables called independent
    u can distinguish as follows
Objects used in several clients are called client independent while objects used in a specific client is called client dependent. To identify if a table is client dependent, one can use tcodes SE11 or SE12. In the table field attributes, if the MANDT field is present that table is client dependent.
A client-dependent table has the field MANDT of data type CLNT, which indicates Client id.
A client-independent table does not have this field.
Data which can be access by all user are client independent (no mandt field in table). Data which can be access by some specific user are client dependent (use mandt field in table)
    Hope ths Helps
    Please reward points

    Hi!
    3. With SE01, you can create a transport request for all table entries.
SE01 - Create button - Workbench request - Give description and save
Select the created request and click on Display object list.
Click on Display - Change button
    Insert line button
    ProgID: R3TR
    Object: TABU
    Object name: Z_YOUR_TABLE
Double click on the table name
    Insert line
    Key: *
    Save everything
Release the transport in SE10 transaction and transport with STMS transaction.

  • Transfer Config between Different Boxes

    Hi,
We need to transfer complete configuration from one SAP Client (Development client) to another and both the clients are in different boxes (Server) in order to bring configuration in both the boxes in sync.
Kindly suggest the best practice and the process to be followed.
    Regards,
    Ghanapriya

We can transfer config between systems by migrating table data. We need to identify all tables to be migrated to other systems and upload them in destination system. Basis team will be the best contact to migrate standard tables data.
    Thanks.

  • Config Manager Client issues

    Hi,
We are having a problem site wide with the objects.data file for the WMI repository being bloated up by the config manager client. Once the repository is bloated up we are seeing many issues such as slow log on times, group policy failing, high CPU
utilization and eventually corruption of the repository.
To illustrate this I built a machine, and installed all windows updates including the hotfix rollup for domain joined computers.
At this point I recorded the repository size.
I then installed the configuration manager client and waited.
    Within an hour this happened;
Periodically from this point CPU utilization would max out.
I then used the tools available and found that there are millions of entries from config manager in the repository.
According to the WMI teams blog, 300mb+ is very large for a repository. We have hundreds of machines now with repositories between 600mb to a gb in size.
My question is this, is this intended behaviour? the performance impact and logon issues caused by this behaviour are forcing us to consider replacing config manager entirely.
Just to add, we are running Config Manager 2012 SP1

    OK,
This for anyone else that has the same issue.
CU2 did nothing to improve the problem. I do however, know what's caused it. The problem is related to using Configuration Manager to deploy windows updates. If I disable the update agent and try the same tests on a machine the repository does not bloat.
Another poster mentioned earlier about a large number of policies- we don't have that- unless you include the fact that every update seems to count as its own separate deployment rather than one deployment per update package.
So if Configuration Manager is designed to store information about each update in the objects.data then I'm assuming that's why the repository is so large- a recipe for slow machines and crashes.
Basically using Configuration Manager to deploy windows updates seems like a very bad idea at this point- unless I'm missing something.

  • Can we share the same Business Action between clients?

    Hi All,
I have a scenario wherein we have two Remote Trading Partners (say Remote1 and Remote2). Both these clients send EDI-850 documents and expect EDI-997.
    So,
    1. I first go to the Protocols Tab.
    2. Create a Business Action (Process_850) and Follow the Wizard for the details.
    In the process i create
    a. Process Protocol
    b. Document Protocol
    c. Exchange Protocol
Now for the second client also sends us the EDI-850 document. So can I reuse all the above created objects and just have two Agreements one with Remote1 using the same Business Action (Process_850) but different Delivery Channels
Or should i be creating different Business Actions for the different Clients?
If i indeed have to create diff business actions then can i reuse the Document Protocol between clients? It does allow you to select and existing one.
Finally, If i understand this correct, We create a Business Action and hence the Document Protocol. We set the default values of the Document Protocol Parameters in here and when we create Trading Partners we override these (Application Sender Code, etc.). In a way we are saying that Process_850 is a business action that is processing 850 documents. 850 being a template and the document parameters are the replacements done on 850 when it is sent by Sender we have say Acme and when it is receiver we have GlobalChips.

If it is for two diffrent trading partner you can share the same business action.

  • What's the difference between client combo and server combo? Also, what would happen if I install both?

what's the difference between client combo and server combo? Also, what would happen if I install both?

One is for the base version of the Mac OS, the other is for the Server version. You can only install the one that matches your system.

  • Sync config between active and standby CSM

Is there a way to sync config between active and standby CSMs? Just as one that in CSS.
How about two SSL Service module in two different 6500 chassis?
    Thanks.

    HI,
there is right now no command to commit redundancy between two CSM-Modules. Maybe in the future there will be one. Okay in regards of sync the only way is to check for redundancy is the show mod csm x ft command. But be aware that some slight differences like a real not being in service are sometimes not recognized.
In regards of the SSLModule there is no way as far as I know to sync them. This won't be present in the future in my opinion as there are certificates which require a password or something like that and one won't be able to do redundncy without those passwords. So In my opinion no way to sync two SSL-Module because of security issues.
    Kind regards,
    Joerg

  • What exactly is the diff between client dependant and client independant te

    Hi gurus,
What is the diff between client independant and client dependant term.. I initially had a confusion related to client independant and client dependant Transport requests, where else are these words applicable, do they apply to data as well, if so how? any links to help me understand the difference..
    regards,
    kishore

    Hi Kishore,
Client Independant: These objects are not specific to any client. And it is universal which can be viewed, changed across the clients.
Client Dependant: These are the objects can be viewed, changed for the client for which it has been assigned. Other clients do not have access on these objects.
In SAP, all objects are finally stored as tables. "Mandt" is key field which determines whether the object is client dependant or not.
Client Independant transport requests will make the transported objects available across the clients. and Client dependent transport request make the objects available only for the client mentioned by field "Mandt"

  • Config manager client deployment script states the user is not a local admin

Guys I posted here a while back in regards to deploying config manager clients in a wan environment. One of the suggestions was to use Jason Sandy's script. I finally got around to playing around with the script however I ran into some strange problems
while testing.I am deploying this via the user side of group policy not the computer side. The script goes out and installs the client the problem is when our users click on any Citrix application the script pops up a message box stating "the user is
not a local admin". I don't see how that's the case because this group of users all have local admin rights on there systems. If I run this script as a domain admin or under the system account everything works smoothly. Citrix is the only application
that's doing this however this is a big deal because we deliver all of our enterprise apps using Citrix. So has anyone here ran into this before?

  • Send Mail thru SAPMAIL in between clients?

    Hi experts,
This time I want to know on how to send attachments text/xls files using SAP MAIL (SO01) in between clients? like clnt 200 to clnt 300? any FMs? BAPIs? RFCs?
    Thanks & Regards

i think you got to run catproc.sql script and then see whether plsql.jar may appear in the directory.. also there is dbmsutilities script that might be helpful to you.. may not be the right solution but some trial and errors with those two packages will give you the anser for sure.
