STO been considered at Sales Forecasting
Dear friends

We need not only Sales Order been there , but include quantities from STO too.
Best regards,
Ale
Dear,
Forecasting is calculated from past history.
Hence consumption to sales order is considered for forecast. If you want the STO data also to be considered for Sales forecast if you enable the movement type used for STO delivery. If you are looking for that please come back

Collaborative sales forecasting
Hi Experts,
Was trying to test collaborative sales forecasting , have done all the basic setting and have been able to release forecast to collaborative forecasting
but I have to test it and i dont want to run SPROXY to update customer baseline sales forecast
I want to update the same up using transaction /SCA/TSDMTEST
the time series type I am using is DFC01
but i have tried all the key figures and try setting them too
but key figure customer baseline sales forecast doesnt get updated with the values saved using TSDM
Please suggest me a way where i can update customer baseline sales forecast with out using XML messages of type ProductForecastNotification (PFN) or ProductForecastRevisionNotification (PFRN).
Regards
Manas MalhotraHi Manas M
You can manually do it in customer view
Create a internet user, assign him to Customer BP organisation and assign BP Org to location master of customer
Now access the below transaciton
/SCA/ICH_C - SNC - Customer View
Go to Sales Forecast Details - Product View (Customer)
There you can enter manually
Please remember, this is only for testing, You have to put to use, you need to edit the roles, and give only what screens a customer would like to use and to what extent
For now user roles mentioned in help link for customers

Sale order to consume Sale forecast created by MD81
Dear Gurus,
I have created a sale forecast using T-code MD81, 'CusReq" is reflected in MD04...I conduct a planning run and planned orders are generated and subsequent process orders and this stock is now credited to WH stock... But the "CusReq" is not disappearing from MD04, as a result of which When I am creating a sale order Using VA01, it is only showing available qty in WH as remainder after the MD81 Requirement...
How can I make the sale order consume the sale forecast (CIR) that was created using MD81.??

Edited by: srirag nair on Aug 26, 2009 1:34 PMHi,
Customer Indepnedent requirement is a sales order as treated by MRP.
The sales order consumption works with PIR not with Customer requirements.
Further in most cases, consumption means not PIR reduction.
it is consuming the planned orders created for PIR's by allocating to sales orders.
For ex; in a MTS scenario,
PIR ---1000
PLanned order 1000
Sales order 1500
After MRP
PIR--1000
PLanned order 1000
Planned order 500
Sales order 1500
PIR reduction from MD04 happens when GI happens for the sales order or GR for Production order depending the Planning strategy.

Production List and Sales Order list on the basis of Sales Forecast - MRP
Hi all,
One of our user wants to use MRP. what he wants is that he puts sales forecast in the system and in the basis of that sales forecast, 2 reports should be generated from system , one will tell that when production should be started to meet sales forecast for every finished good and 2nd report will tell that when sales orders should be created for raw materials to achieve sales forecast for every finished good.
Is that possible?? Please tell me in steps that how I should I proceed? what changes should be done in SPRO and in master data?
Please respond.
Best Regards,
AI.Hi AL,
As such, this is a basic functioanlity of MRP.
Once you enter a forecast & take a MRP run system proposes, when to start the production based on the production leadtime & purc.reqns for the raw materials based on the procurement lead time.
And the same can be viewed from various reports..FOr example MD04.
For this to work the MRP configurations should be valid.
Could you please confine your question to a specific query..?
Thanks & regards

How to handle sales forecast in OM?
For comparative analysis, user wants to input sales forecast per item in terms of quantity and sales amount for them to be able to generate and view report regarding the following:
1) Comparative Report Forecast vs Actual Sales Ordered per item and amount.
2) Comparative Report Forecast vs Actual Ordered per quantity per item per customer.
3) Forecast vs Actual Sales
Thanks!Possibilities:
1. If you have sales planing in R/3, and extract that data into BW, you can have a forecast report.
2. If you have APO and have demand planing, then you can have forecast report.
3. If you use BPS / IP for sales planing / forecasting, then you can have.

Sales forecasting-updating opportunities with booked values
Hi,
we have a need where a user creates an opportunity for a large deal (say worth 6M USD) which will be realized over say 6 months. each month from the day the oppty is created say 1 MUSD worth orders will be created.
how do we incorporate this scenario in the monthly sales forecast. challenge here is that one opportunity will result into multiple orders each month. how will the sales forecast know that against the large deal of 6 MUSD, some amount is already realized/booked and it should subtract that amount from forecast report. need is to avoid double forecasting in such scenarios.
is there a standard report which takes care of such scenarios?
i am sure this is not a unique situation in almost all B2b sales this should be a need.
any pointers will be appreciated
thank you.I referenced the post below.

it is not working for me. I don't understand the approach of using derived column to get rid of NULLs neither. Can you help?

i have been considering upgrading to Yosemite from Mountain Lion but especially after reading about some of the bluetooth lag problems, i would want to be able to return to my current OS, just in case and am unsure what steps to take.
Drive Partition and Format
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Apply button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
To clone your existing system:
Clone Yosemite, Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion using Restore Option of Disk Utility
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu then press the Continue
button.
2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
4. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it
to the Destination entry field.
5. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to
the Source entry field.
6. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive. -
Where I can find instructions on how to install Sales Forecasting application?
Hi,
I'm looking for instructions on how to install Sales Forecasting application mentioned in this OBE: http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/db/12c/r1/security/sec_redact/sec_redact.html.
Prerequisite says:
Installed Oracle Application Express (APEX) in a pluggable database, with the Sales Forecasting application created in an APEX workspace
So, i want to read up on how to install this Sales Forecasting application created in an APEX workspace.
Thanks for your help.I believe that was an older sample apex application that is no longer available. At least not available in the set of sample and demo applications that ship with APEX..
Thank you,

Customers updating their own sales forecast
Hi,
Are you aware of any scenario, where I can have the customers entering their sales forecast in the BW System.
Any clues?
Thanks,
HarishIf i had to guess it is because the phone that you have only supports 2G GSM networks.
The new Sasktel network only supports phones that are 3G GSM phones(UMTS/HSPA/HSPA+ pick your acronym)
I am also a Rogers customer as well and when I am leaving a coverage area my phones go from HSPA(+)/3G to EDGE(2.5G) to GRPS(2G)
When I leave a Sasktel coverage area I go from HSPA(+)/3G to no service.
I guess it doesn't make business sense for Sasktel to put in old tech and isn't it convenient that you will now have to upgrade your phone.
I live in a rural area and I am getting about 1.5 Mbps down on the new network. It is certainly faster than EVDO or 1X but the coverage isn't great right now unless you stick to the city or the highways.. -
