STO's in MRP Receipts

Hi,
We have a requirement only the STO's in MRP receipts data. Do we have any indicator we can use to filter STO's data alone.
We are using function module used in MD04 transaction to get the MRP data.
We have tried using PO/order type but was not sucessful.
Please share your ideas on the same.
Thanks,
Arun

Hi,
We are using function model to retreive the data to BI. we are using the same function module which is used in MD04 transaction.
Now we just want to add a Field in the data to show STO data in this data.
Hope i am clear.
Thanks,
Arun

  • STO - IDOC INVOIC - MM Receipt on Delivery note rather PO number

    Hi Gurus,
I'm processing an MM Receipt INVOIC IDOC to create an Intercompany Vendor Invoice against a Purchase order.
This is integrated in a standard Stock Transfer Order. This IDOC is generated using Output type RD04 from Intercompany billing.
When SAP creates IDOC, it is based on the Delivery note number rather than the PO number, even I have the PO and Delivery in my PO historic, and even if I have IDOC segment E1EDP02 QUALF 001 with PO and segment E1EDP02 with QUALF 016 with Delivery note.
I tried to managed PO item flags: "Invoice Receipt Indicator" or "Indicator: GR-Based Invoice Verification".
    But there is no impact.
When I create the MM Receipt manually using TCode MIRO in reference to the PO. It works.
When I create the MM Receipt manually using TCode MIRO in reference to the Delivery not. It doesn't work. I got the same error message "Delivery note/service entry sheet xxxx does not exist".
I conclude that when SAP performs the IDOC, someting in the IDOC tells him to create a invoice in reference to the Delivery note rather than the PO. How can we change it?
Please, could you help me to understand this blocking point and to allow to create the MM Receipt on PO?
    Many thanks.
    Stéphane.

    hello, friend.
i am not an expert in MM, but....
i noticed that when using MIGO, you can do GR based on an inbound delivery, and maybe also an outbound delivery (from STO).  an outbound delivery created in an STO scenario should have links to the STO related PO.  could this be the link you are looking for?
    regards.

  • Intercompant STO working during MRP run.

    Dear Experts,
How intercompany stock transfer works during MRP run?
I mean if one company is purchaser and other is vendor and purchaser company's planned delivery time is 10 days and replenishment time in other company is 3 day then will system consider these two times in creating purchase requisition in first plant ( in MD04)?

    Hi,
Say your purchaser is plant A, vendor is plant B. STO can make by spl.procurement key 40 in MRP2 view in plant A.
If you create requirement in plant A, system will create planed order for that material. In plant A, system will consider only planned delivery time of 10 days.
In plant B, system will create dep requirement. suppose if stock is not available that time system will consider to replinishment the material as 3 days.
This 3 days will not consider in Plant A.

  • STO generated by MRP to other plant

    Dear all,
I need to to generate STO for other plant for RAW matl requirement. and MRP should generate it.
so please reply me if anybody know how to maintain data in the system that it will generate STO for other specific plant only
    Regards,
    Vimlesh

    Hi
Did you maintain the special procurement keys which you intend for the Default plant in the Master data new entries table? There wil be 10 keys , instead of going by new entries(sometines this does not work because of our entry mistake), you can copy and assign your plant for all the keys, by this way  you wil make available all the special Proc.keys for your plant, as you might want to change later the key due to some reason or other based upon the requirement.
Second, maintain procurement type F/X  and the Spl procurement type 40  in the MRP2 view of the materials, it is expected that you are also filling in other details as required in other MRP views also.
You can not directly generate STO from MRP run, have a look In MD04 for the materials which are subject to ext procurement. You can check each level of the material by entering material no. in the requirement table in MD04 and view the PRs whether  they are generated or not.
Either you can go by ME59 or simply you can directly proceed from the MD04 screen by doubel clicking the PR and converting it into a PO by adopting it in PO level, If we have any customised PO document type that can be used here instead if the standard NB type also.

  • STO issue in MRP Run

    Dear All Experts,
I am not from SD module but i have a query related to MRP Run. In our plant we have STO and it uses the 641 movement type. As i know During MRP Run STO is considered in net requirement calculation. It is the standard process. But in one of the plant STO is not being considered in net requirement calculation.
In MD05 it is showing the requirement but it not increases the requirement. So what could be the possible reason.
Please answer it. It is very important for me.
    Regards,
    Saurabh

    Dear Experts,
This is the situation in which 4th line we can see that STO having requirement of 2. But available stock is not reduced by 2.
And Dear Srinu S in this case delivery is not happened.

  • MRP-Exclude STO document type from MRP Run

    Hi,
I want to exclude STO document type from MRP run, so that STO Open qty will not be considered as open qty while  doing MRP.
I have checked below settings but didn't worked.
    1. In OMI8 - I have unchecked "Stock in Transfer"
    2. SPRO->Materials Management->Consumption-based Planning->Planning->Define torage Location MRP per plant
Here I have excluded ONE storage location from MRP and same storage location has been used in the STO.
Can anyone know how to resolve this ?
    Regards,
    Rakesh

    Rakesh,
Yes, they will not be relevant for MRP.  Neither will anything else in that storage location.  However, the setting is not in configuration, but in the material master (MRP4 tab).
The configuration setting you mentioned has no impact on existing material masters, it is only used to determine the default settings for newly created storage location entries for a material/plant..
You can set a particular material/plant/stlocn to be irrelevant for MRP.  This relevancy is irrespective of document type, it can be a STO, a purchase req, a sales order,  a production order, or it could be stock (inventory)  - all supply and demand in this material/plant/stlocn are excluded from MRP processing.
MRP relevancy of storage location is set at the material/plant/storage location level in the material master.
If you do not wish to exclude a storage location from MRP, then you will have to find another way to make your STOs Irrelevant for MRP.  As I said earlier, STOs (like any other Purchase orders that are configured to process stock ), are generally considered to be relevant for MRP.
If you were a client, I would suggest that you rethink your business model that drives this requirement.
If the business model cannot be altered, and the storage location solution is unacceptable, then you will be stuck with a customized solution.

  • STO from MRP area to MRP area

Is it possible to confirgure the system to create stock transfer orders from one MPR area to another MRP area? I know that you can go from plant to MRP area and MRP area to plant.  We would like the material shortages, found in the planning plant/mrp area to pass the STO to to procurement plant/MRP area. We want the STO at the MRP area level and not at the plant level of the procurement plant.
    Thank you for your responses.

    Hello
If you want to have stock transfers generated by MRP, you must assign a special procurement type. Also, make sure that, on the special procurement type customizing, you have defined the supplying plant.
If you want to have the issuing storage location determined by MRP, please read carefully the WIKI below:

  • STO Not to be considered in MRP Run in MTS

    Dear All,
We are facing the following problem in MRP run in MTS scenario when
    there are STOs in Plant.
We have 2 Plants one is production Plant (Say A) and other is Non
production Plant (Say B) from where only Deliveries will be made.
Now after final material will be produced in Plant A it will be routed
through Stock transport order (STO) to plant B.
So there will be always STOs in Plant A which will be created in Plant B.
Now we are using Strategy 11 (Gross req. Planning) for Final FERT material.
In MRP if we have PIR of 100 Qty. and STO of 50 Qty. system is creating
the Planned order of 150 quantity which is a normal system behavior.
Now our requirement is that it should not include STO in Planning (MRP Run).
    Pls. Suggest.
    Regards,
    Vinayak.

    Hi,
    Go to OPJJ,
In that select your requirement type, and click details...
there is a tab,IN/OUTward movement.. In that deselect the box for incl.rel.order.reqs..
If you dont want the deliveries to be taken into consideration, then uncheck thebox for include deliveries..
    hope this solves..

  • How to transfer the requirement from one plant  to many plants(STO)

    hai gurus,
    My scenario is as follows:
    1) Plant "A" is Receiving plant.
    2) Plant "B" ,Plant "C", Plant "D" is three production plant.
    3) All the above 4 plant under same company code 1000.
    4) Now plant "A" gets the requirements and pass on to all the three production plants, which
    is based on forecast.
    5) How the requirement to be passed on from plant "A" to all the three production plants namely B/C/D
    under sap
    6) After production of fert under 3 production plants the final products is transferred to the plant "A"
ware houses which is situated near by plants of B/C/D.
    7) Only one fert material( Fert 1) is common for all three plants produced based on the capacity at all three plants.
    8) Remaining fert material is plant specific, that is for Example Fert 2,3,4 produced only in plant" B"
Fert 5,6,7 produced in plant "C" and Fert 8,9,10 produced only in plant "D".
    How to map into sap
    waiting for the positive reply
    Regards,
    sekar chand

    Hi again,
For more details on stock transfer from alternative plant in MRP, see also the attached link:

Regarding FERT1, you can place sales order, but it will not trigger requirements in the manufacturing plant. Also, because all plants are in the same CC it is not a good idea.
If you are willing to do some manual/external work in determining how much of FERT1 will each manufacturing plant produce, then you can just manually create STOs accordingly. These STOs will generate MRP requirements in the manufacturing plants.

  • Availability check with MRP area at Sloc level

HI We have MRP area at storage location level maintained for materials. Stock exists in the plant in the storage location which is part of the MRP area.
Now when I create STO and try to create delivery for the same, system is giving message 0 stock available and not creating delivery. Material has 02 Avl Chck group. If I deactivate the MRP area in the material master, it allows creation of delivery.
How can I ensure that system creates delivery even though stocks exist in MRP area relevant sloc only in the plant?
    Sriram

I am sure you have already moved on from this issue, but what you mention is a limitation prior to ECC 6.  You can not identify on the purchasing document the source sloc of the supplying plant.  This is why you can not create the STO between sloc MRP areas.  I was told this was resolved in ECC 6.

  • Committed Date Calculation in an STO

    Hello,
Can anyone detail how exactly the committed date is calculated during an availability check for an STO?.
    Thanks.

STO Delivery Date is receipt date at destination location. This minus Transportation Lead time is STO requirement date at source.
When you conduct ATP check for this PO/STO, your committed date is updated at source and delivery date will be updated as committed date plus TL lead time. Also check SAP help at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_45b/helpdata/en/41/191fce45fd11d188ff0000e8322f96/frameset.htm

  • STO quantity issue

    HI,
MY STO (cross comcode) quantity on line item 70 is 400 and some how the system created 3 deliveries totaling 539. The extra delivery is of 139 pieces and has not been GI while the other two totalling 400 have been issued.
The other two deliveries are 139 pieces and 261 pieces = 400.
Is it possible to exceed the amount? I dont think are over delivery tolerances are set to above  20%.
How to track the problem? What can i check. The extra delivery is open and not Goods Issued (GI).
    The movement type is 943.
    Thanks.
Edited by: saad A on Aug 13, 2008 4:09 PM

    Hi
The reason is delivery can be made for more than the  STO qty(unlimited) ,the overdilivery tolerence set in the STO is for Goods Receipt, not for Goods Issue.
You may have to set this in item category in delivery, but iam afraid  this may not  work in case of STO's

  • Collective PO - Generating Delivery Orders for STO using VL10B?

    Dear Folks,
I have created a collective PO from various STO. After goods receipt for the PO, I need to generate delivery orders for the STO. Is it possible to create the delivery orders using transaction VL10B/VL10Batch instead of WF30/WF50?
The issue is because we would like to generate the delivery orders in the background by batch job.
    Best Regards
    Junwen

    Hi,
With merchandise distribution you can configure the system to automatically create the deliveries when you perform the GR.
Look at the configuration for the Site Distribution Profile.
Logistics general->Merchandise Distribution->Site Profiles for Merchandise Distribution
If you are using different data for the 'Pull' Business Process ensure that the Point of CD/FT/PA Delivery gen fiels is set to 1 - 'Goods receipt'. Else just do above config for the 'Default' settings (Blank in Business Process).
This will result in creation of Delivery at the time of GR.

  • MRP for Particular Material

    hi
I need to run MRP for certain materials for certain period in background or foreground
    how to configure this????
    tks and regards
    pnts will be rewarded
    murali

    Hi,
    __MRP for certain materials:__
For this you have work with MRP Area concept. Assign some parts to storage location ex: say MN01 and create MRP area MN01_01 in customizing and assign this storage location.
Now run the MRP for this MRP area from MDBT/MD01 and plan those materials which are assign to this storage location. (storage loc assignment is from MM01...create with this sto loc).
MRP for limited period: Scheudle the MRP job in background or in foreground from SM37 with the required period. The MRP will run only in between this selected period.
Hope the answer will help u.
