Stock account difference between GR and IR

Hi Friends,
PO is created for some quantity and price.
No taxes and discounts are maintained so net price is equal to gross price.
While doing GR, stock account is debited with different value instead of net price in PO.
However IR is done with proper value.
In a nutshell, for the same qty, GR value is different from PO price.
Thanks in Advance.
Raju

Hi,
Check the Accounting View of the Material and the Price control used.Whether it is Standard Price or Moving Average Price.Accordingly the system will behave.

  • T-Code for reporting stock quantity difference between IM and WM

    Hi All
I'm probably going to kick myself for asking this quastion but is there a report to show the stock quantity differences between IM and WM?
I have searched the forum first but cannot find info.
We have various differences in IM and WM shown in MD04 and LS26. This is usually the result of an unplanned plant to plant transfer not being recipted in at the destination plant.
If no standard T-code is available, which tables can I join to create my own query?
    Thanks in advance
    Darren

    compare MMBE with LS26
Make sure you dont enter a storage location and storage type in selection screen of LS26.
if you post a difference with LI20, then you have just posted a difference within WM, means you moved a quantity from a bin into the difference storate type 998.  The balance of both is still equal to your stock shown in MMBE. You have to clear the difference with IM by executing LI21 transaction. Only then the quantity will disappear from difference storage type and will be adjusted in MM and FI.
LX23 will only report real inconstencies and will adjust them.
If you do a MM movement like 303, then this creates a transfer request in WM, this TR needs to be converted into a TO. to move the stock from the bin to the interim storage type for goods issue.
In your case you created just a negative quant in the interim storage type for goods issue and still have a positive quant in the bin, the balance is equal to the stock shown in MMBE.

  • Stock material difference between MM and WM

Good morning, i have a question about the difference between Stock material from MM and WM.
My customer, told me about difference in material stock in tables MARD and LQUA.
He told me that stock material in LQUA is greater than in MARD, because some users didn't work correctly.
Since correct stock is in MARD table ( and not in LQUA), my question is: is there any standard solution (transaction ,program, or others ecc.) to make equal the quantity values in both tables?
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and attention,
    Francesco

    Francesco,
Have you checked the warehouse activity monitor (transaction LL01) to see if there are any incomplete documents there?
In general, an Invneotry Movement (receipts, issues, transfers, etc) will trigger a WM movement via transfer postings and  transfer orders.
The best way to habdle this may be on a case-by-case basis, and use the appropriate transactions to correct your issue.
    <B>Example scenario:</B>
User does a goods issue (reduces MM quantity). The transfer order may not have been created or may not have been confirmed. In either case, WM quantity is not reduced, causeing WM to be higher than MM.
If the TO was not created, there iwll be an open transfer requirement - try processing it in the foreground.
If the TO was created but not confirmed, try confirming it.

  • Which is difference between Pipeline and Consignment..

    Hello  All...
I need your help... Can you help me to understand the difference between Pipeline and Consignment?
Many thanks and I appreciate your Help and comments!

A pipeline material is a material that flows directly into the production process from a pipeline (for example, oil), from a pipe (for example, tap water), or from another similar source (for example, electricity).
A material from the pipeline is always available; i.e. it can be withdrawn from the pipeline at any time and in any quantity.
Depending on the system configuration, a material can be withdrawn only from the pipeline or, in addition to the pipeline, normal stocks of the material can also be managed.
    STEPS TO MAINTAIN PIPELINE MATERIAL
    1. You can create a material with PIPE material type or else you can use any material type but that should allow pipeline process.
    2. You should have Inforecord for the material with valid conditions, price will pick only from inforecord.
    3. If requied you can maintains ource list or else you can select during goods issue.
    4. From the Inventory Management menu, choose Goods movement ® Goods issue.
Maintain the data on the initial screen. Choose Movement type ® Consumption ® To cost center (or To order, To network, All account assignments) ® From pipeline (Movement types : 201 P, 261 P, 281 P, or 291 P)
    5. On the collective entry screen, enter the account assignment. Enter the items.
You do not have to enter the vendor as this will be found automatically by the system.
If more than one vendor is possible, a pop-up window appears with a list of pipeline vendors, from which you can select the vendor you require.
    Post the goods movement.
we can not stock pipeline material. It is readily available. directlly it is avilable at cost center. you need to pay for that consumption

  • Difference between cumulative and non-cumulative key figures

    Hi,
What is the difference between cumulative and non-cumulative key figures and under what conditions they are used. What is snapshort and where it is used.

    Hi.............
Basically the key figures are of two types cumulative and non cumulative.
Cumulative are the normal one which you use always and they always bring the new values of the key figures in the delta that is if suppose A has value 10 and after change the new value is 20 then you will use cumulative key figures there, and your delta( new value) will bring 20.
but suppose your key figures field only the change in the prior value that is in this case the delta in the key figure value will bring 10 (20-10- change of 10 )as new value in the key figure A then you will have to model it through the non cumulaitve key figures.
    Now
    1) Cumulative is for the first case that is if the key figure alwyas brings the new values of the key figure and not the change sin the key fiures value.
2)NCum. value with NCUM value change:
In this case ther is only one field which brings the changes for a particualr key figure and you ahve to define that key figure as non cumulative.
Ex: In case of stock only one filed brings both ingoing value and outgoing value so 10 ,-4,100,-34.....
In this case you will this option and use the key figure here in the space provided.
    3) In this case you haev two separate key figures one for the inflow of stocks and one for the outflow of the stocks.
you use one key figure for the inflow and one key figure for the outflow.
The main key figure autiomatically takes care of the logic and gives the correct output upon the summation
net value of stocks( inflow- outflow).
Also do remember in this case the key figure for inflow and out flow are the basic key figures that is cumulative key figures.
A non-cumulative is a non-aggregating key figure on the level of one or more objects that is always displayed in relation to time. Examples of non-cumulatives include headcount, account balance and material inventory. here the aggregation of key figure is based on the another info object
There are two different ways to define non-cumulative key figures:
    • Non-cumulative key figure with non-cumulative changes:
Before you can define the non-cumulative key figure, an additional cumulative key figure containing the non-cumulative change must exist as an InfoObject.
    • Non-cumulative key figure with inflows and outflows
There has to be two additional cumulative key figures as InfoObjects for non-cumulative key figures - one for inflows and one for outflows. The cumulative key figures have to have the same technical properties as the non-cumulative key figure, and the aggregation and exception aggregation have to be SUM.
    Features of non-cummulative key figures
    A non-aggregating key Figure.
Records are not summarized for Reporting
Exception Aggregation is being applied on these key figures on the level of one or more info objects usually with time .
Examples: Head Count, Account balance, Material stock
    consider simple senario
Date Net Stock Quantity Sales Revenue
    01.02.2005 40 1000
    02.02.2005 50 2000
    03.02.2005 25 3000
this is the query output if stock quantity has treated as cummulative and non-cummulative key figures
if stock quantity taken as a cummulative key figure
Date NET STOCK QUANTITY SALES REVENUE
    01.02.2005 30 1000
    02.02.2005 50 2000
    03.02.2005 20 3000
    RESULT 100 6000
in the above result the key figure has aggregated to the total value that wont give sense to the net stock quantity
if stock quantity taken as non-cummulative key figure
Date Net Stock Quantity (LAST) Sales Revenue
    01.02.2005 30 1000
    02.02.2005 50 2000
    03.02.2005 20 3000
    RESULT 20 6000
    Hope this helps you..............

  • What is a difference between MB01 and MBST  for GR Cancellation

    Hi,
What is a difference between MB01 and MBST  for GR Cancellation.
    Regards,
    Aditya

    Hi,
MB01 is used for doing the GR for collective PO at a single instance.
This transaction will be utilize when an individual needs to create a material document.  A material document can only be displayed or changed after it has been generated in the SAP system.  In a computer based inventory management system, the principal of "no posting without a document" applies.  A material document is generated and stored in the SAP system for every transaction that causes a change in stock.
As mentioned, when a goods movement is posted a material document is created.  It serves as proof of the movement   If the movement updates a G/L account; an accounting document is also created. The material and accounting document s are identified by unique document numbers
Once you have posted a goods movement, you cannot change material numbers, quantities or account numbers in the material document.  You can however use the Change command to enter additional or change text information such as comments or references.  To reverse the movement or change a quantity, a new transaction must be performed.
    MBST:-
Perform this transaction when a previously performed goods issue must be cancelled due to an error in data entry or other circumstances deem the previous transaction unnecessary.
    Prerequisites:-
A previously played transaction that requires cancellation.
An existing Material Document in SAP.
This Transaction will be utilized when an individual needs to cancel a material document due to a data entry error or other circumstances deem a previous transaction unnecessary. A material document can only be cancelled after it has been generated in the SAP system. A material document is generated and stored in the SAP system for every transaction that causes a change in stock.
Performing this transaction will "undo" a previous transaction by reversing individual line items in a material document or by reversing an entire material document. This transaction will reinstate the affected cost center, purchase order or stock location to the state they were in prior to playing the original transaction.

  • What is the difference between 651 and 653 movement types

    Hi
What is the difference between 651 and 653 movement types
    Points will be rewarded
    Regards
    Suddu

    Hi,
Whenever goods movment happens following things are going on in the background:
A material document is generated, which is used as proof of the movement and as a source of information for any other applications involved.
If the movement is relevant for Financial Accounting, one or more accounting documents are generated.
The stock quantities of the material are updated.
The stock values in the material master record are updated, as are the stock and consumption accounts.
    651 - two steps - with a transfer posting using 453
653 - one steps - direct post to unrestricted used
*Using movement type 651, you post returns from a customer with a return delivery in Shipping to blocked stock returns.
Using 653 movement type, you post returns from the customer with returns delivery via Shipping directly to the valuated stock.
    <b>Reward if helpful.</b>
    Thanks

  • What is the difference between PUSH and FETCH

I am a little confused. I use my iphone for both my personal POP email accounts and my business exchange account. I am trying to save as much battery as I can so I turned off push and set everything to manual...but now when I try and get may mail....it either says "connecting" or "checking for new mail" at the bottom of the screen and nothing happens from there.
What is the best way to setup this situation for the most battery life? I don't need it to automatically download emails just when I open the email accout would be nice.
I also noticed that when I delete an email from my iphone on my exchange account, it also deletes is on my desktop at work...I need to turn this off...is it possible?

    Hi maxum25,
The difference between push and fetch is that:
When using push, the server sends a signal to the iphone and lets it know that an email is coming its direction. Kind of like receiving a call. The iphone does not need to do anything except receive the email.
When using fetch, the iphone has to wake up every so often and send a request to the server to see if there is any new email waiting for it on the server to download. This takes more time because the iphone sends a request, the server says yes there is some, the iphone says ok give me the new email.
Now the exchange email uses active sync to keep all changes on the exchange server and mobile device in sync. This is automatic and is the nature of exchange and active sync. In order to keep this from happening you would need to talk to your IT dept. and see if they have an imap or pop alternative. Even using imap reflects the changes back to the server.
    Hope this helps.

  • ABST2 - Differences between Assets and G/L accts

    Hi Experts
We are working on ECC 6.0 and INR is our local currency.
At the end of FY 2007 by mistake direct postings were made to Dep Fund Account which is a Recon a/c and FY 2007 was closed
And because of which FI-GL and FI-AA doesnt match by INR 37353.71 (amt posted in above doc) as shown in ABST2
I've referred SAP notes 104567 & 69225 and found the note 69225 relevant to follow as the difference has not resulted in the current or open years.
So we have passed direct entry which is exactly the reversal of entry posted above using ABF1 (INR -37353.71)
After posting the 2nd document, in ABST2 another line has appeared of INR -37353.71. Although the sum for my recon GL is now zero.
The output of ABST2 is as below now -
Sc  Acct no.   BusA  Year  SG  1st local difference  LCurr  Doc.no.    Period
    AS  31100                2009               37,353.71-        INR     W004
    AS  31100                2009               37,353.71         INR     W004       999
When I come out of ABST2 , addition to 1st, error no 2 is also coming which I thought would disappear.
1.Differences between assets and G/L accts in the balance carried forward
         Message no. MQ555
2.Differences between assets and G/L accounts at the key date
         Message no. MQ557
Is still something else needs to be done?
Or can I move ahead as the summation of the difference is now zero?
    Please suggest.
    Kapil

We referred to SAP and they suggeted that the tagging of W004 in both the lines means that now there is no error even system prompts it as error.
So we continued with the transactions and after closing the FY 2009, today when we run ABST2, we dont get any error messages as there is no difference left between Assets & GL.

  • Difference between MBBS and MB5L report.

All capital inventory till FY-2008-09 was transferred to revenue inventory by movemnt typr 411-Q in MB1B.All the codes those were transferrd are now appearing in MBBS but with zero value. However these codes are appearing in MB5L with value under GL 132006 (for capital items) and having value of 1.08 crores (0.94 crore for imported items and 0.14 crore for revenue items). The GL for all these codes neds to be changed to 132000 (revenue inventory GL) so that in MB5L also these items appear as revenue items. As of today GL of all the codes appearing under GL 132006 are to be changed to 132000 except code 496700086.
now, changes are reflected in report MBBS but not showing correct information in MB5L report..
Please guide what is the difference between MBBS and MB5L report.
    Regards
    SHreya

    Hi,
MBBS gives stock values of "project'" and "sales order" only.
MB5L gives total stock value .

  • Exchange rate difference between MIRO and GR/IR

    Hi,
Exchange rate difference between MIRO and GR/IR we need to written off as a expense for imported w/off expense and in case of assets we need to post exchange rate difference to exchange fluctuation account. Currently exchange rate difference is accounting under capital work in progress(Asset)instead of exchange fluctuation.
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards
    Venkata Suresh

    Hi,
At MIRO stage, after entering PO number system will automatically populate the GRN value for selection. Here if you found that invoice value, which you have received from the vendor, is more than the system proposed amount, then you can adjust that diff amount in the GL account tab, which is next to PO reference tab in MIRO.
There enter the exch loss GL account and enter the diff amount.
    Thanks,
    Srinu.

  • What's the difference between jsp and jsf?

who can tell me what's the difference between jsp and jsf?
I'm puzzled when I found some of the technology in jsp is so similar to the ones in jsp( javaserver page)

    Hi,
Find the difference between JSP and JSF
    1. A developer has more control with JSP, but (should) get easier development with JSF
    2. Event handling is done differently in JSP (HTTP) and JSF (Java)
    3. The UI is designed differently (or should be at least) with JSP (markup) and JSF (components).
    4. The end product should also be defined differently - JSP page versus a JSF application.
Is this the only thing that is need to make a decision for either or? Probably not. There are other pieces that need to be taken in account when deciding which technology to use - tools support, enough components, type of application etc.... At this point there are not enough JSF components (although there are some interesting projects underway - Ajaxfaces, Myfaces, ADF Faces, and WebChart 3d) and enterprise tools support is still limited to a few tools vendor. Looking at our ADF Faces components they are currently available as early access (not production) and demands for these components are stacking up, literally, outside my office doorstep. Although I would love to make them production - now! - it is not a viable solution since we are still checking features and fixing critical bugs.
All this combined - not enough enterprise level components in production, lacking tools support etc... - leave customers in a vacuum where the decision is either to continue with JSP, since it is mature and has a wide developer base, or move forward with JSF not sure if the support, or the developers will be there. This is particularly sensitive to customers that need to get started now and be production by summer.
If you are in this vacuum here are some key points promoting JSF:
    1. Fundamental unit is the Component
    2. Built in event and state management
    3. Component sets can be provided by any vendor
    4. Closer to ASP.Net or Swing development
    5. Choice of UI technology
    6. Scale up (rich clients)
    7. Scale down (mobile devices)
    8. Built into J2EE containers in J2EE 5.0 (tentative)

  • Difference between 0FI_AP_30 and 0FI_AP_4 Data source

    HI,
What is the difference between 0FI_AP_30 and 0FI_AP_4 Data source.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
In addition to above differences. Below is the functional difference between 0FI_AP_30 & 0FI_AP_4:
0FI_AP_4 gives you accounts payable line items in your report. Here GL account shows the balances of particular types of  vendors/payables to which that particular GL account is been assigned.
And If subledger is activated in ECC, then by using 0FI_AP_30 you can get the break up of that particular GL balance according to vendors.
To make use of datasource 0FI_AP_30, subledger accounting must be activated in ECC.
