Stock and value with GL account

Dear friends,
i want to see the stock and the stock value with respect to the GLaccount,
i want to see the materials posted for the GL account with stock and value for perticular period.

Actually i am trying with that Tcode MB5L . But unable to execute. in selection secreen i was entered ccode and GL account. But system shows error messges as no GL account exist for the Ccode.
can u tell is there any restrictions for selection screen.

My R/3 version 4.7
I have a material which is stockable and valuated of material type ERSA(Spare parts)
This material was created in may 2007 and material ledger activated,i dont see master records in accounting view in material price analysis tab for the month may 07 till aug 07,and i see master recordsfor the month sep 07 till jan 08
For this particular material in the report MB51 for all the 3 material documents posted,there are no accounting entries in accounting document.
Also in the report output the field amount in local currency is zero for all the 3 material documents.
1.1st material document with mvt 202 for qty 1 posted in the month of may 07,no entries in acc.doc
In this case,MSEG-DMBTR(amount in local currency) was not updated
Also i dont see master records for this period in accounting view in material price analysis tab,in material master.
2.2nd material document with mvt 261 posted for qty 1 in the month of nov,no entries in acc.doc
In this case,MSEG-DMBTR(amount in local currency)was not updated.
I see master records for this period in accounting view in material price analysis tab with stock 1 qty and value zero
3.3rd material document with mvt 101 posted qty 1 in the month of dec,in this case once GR is done MSEG-DMBTR(amount in local currency) was not updated,but mbew has the entries for stock and value.
Can any one let me know why the system is not updating the mseg-dmbtr and as well affecting MB51 report

The settings in Customizing which define that no negative stocks are allowed for the storage type, have only an effect on the transfer orders. In addition, you must also set message L9040 as an error message. For this, call up the Customizing and branch to: 'Logistics Execution -> Warehouse Management -> Interfaces -> Inventory Management -> Allow negative Stocks in Interim Storage Types'. There, execute point 'Control of System Messages in Warehouse Management' and enter message type 'E' for message number L9040

Hi,
you cannot take stock report with alternate UoM. Alternate UoM is for "ORDERING" purpose only and not for SKU.

did you check any stock type in MMBE? or just the 3 that are visible by default?
Double click the stock line in MMBE, (at plant level) you will get a pop-up that displays all stock types. Maybe your stock is in a stock type that is not displayed amont the 3 in the first screen.
Further you have to know that the material master shows the valuated stock (table MBEW) while MMBE shows the storage location stock (basically table MARD and many others for special stocks)

MB5B Report for Date Wise Stock and Value

Hi,
I am Taking MB5B Report for Date Wise Stock and Value.
But I have one doubt all stocks is coming or not in these report like Unrestrected Stock,Return Stock.Blocked stock,Transist stock,Restrected Stock,qty Inspection Stock.
I have another Doubt in these report three Stock type indicaters are there like these.
1.Storage Location / Batch Stock
2.valuated Stock
3.Special Stock.
But i have one doubt what is defferent these

Yes MB5B report consider the Unrestricted, Quality, Blocked, Transit stock and restricted stock. Not sure about Return Stock.
If you select the Storage location/Batch stock radio button then the system will display all the possible stock from the storage location and the corresponding batch also.
If you select Valuated stock radio button then system will show only the valuated stock not the Non-valuated stock. Because Non-valuated material type is available in SAP system will not show those stock suppose if you select the Valuated stock radio button.

I am asked to develop a custom report for inventory management. For range of materials it is required to display stock and value on particular date and GRs GIs for the range.

Sales order and linked with BSX account key?

I am creationg a purchase order with account assignment category M.
Suppose i have given material ABC and in material master of ABC i have maintain the valuation class 3000.
Now in details of account assignment category i have given the account modification VKA and consumption V and special stock E.
This VKA i have embedded in the GBB in the tcode OBYC and with the valuation class 3000 i have given the GL account
400210 ie consumption account.
Now this account is visible in purchase order as soon as i give the account assignment category and material.
Now secondly when i am giving sales order no in then it is replacing the consumption gl account with inventory gl account.
This inventory gl account is mentioned in the account key
BSX with the same valuation class 3000.
Now the doubt is that how from the sales order it is reaching to account key BSX .kindly explain me this background flow and settings.
I have also brief knowledge about the Requirement type and the requirement class.

Here is the explanation.
Account determination of valuated sales order stock and project stock
Note that for valuated sales order stock and project stock (special
stock E and Q) and for the transaction/event keys BSX and GBB, you
must maintain an account determination to avoid receiving warning
messages when entering data (purchase order or transfer posting) for
valuated stock.
During data entry, the system attempts to execute a provisional
account determination for GBB for valuated stock. The system will
only replace the provisional account determination for GBB with the
correct account determination for the stock account (BSX), in the
background, if you enter the data for valuated stock at a later
point in time.
Hence if there is an entry in BSX then system replaces the GBB with BSX.

Value Strings
Posting records are assigned to each relevant movement type in Inventory Management and to each transaction in Invoice Verification.
Value Strings indicates the posting rule that always contains the same account assignment characteristics for a certain transaction or event (for example a goods movement or an invoice receipt).
Each goods movement is assigned to a Value String and each Value String in turn is assigned to Transaction/ Event keys. These settings are pre-defined and can not be changed.
You can see the linking of Value Strings in the following tables:
T156S- Movement Type: Quantity/ Value Posting (For movement type--> Value String)
T156W- Posting String Values (For Value String--> Transaction/ Event key)
I had found the following Value Strings in the system: WA01, WA03, WA04, WA06, WE01, WE06 and WF01.

Ok. Found something that said to shut down and hold the option, command, p, and r keys on restart. Held them down for a few restarts and everything automatically signed in and works. Woohoo!!!

Removing GMAIL POP Account and Replacing with IMAP Account

Because I want to sync my Gmail account on two Macs and discovered that IMAP is better at this than POP, I want to delete my Gmail POP account and add an IMAP account. Mail > Preferences indicates that all received mail will be deleted as well. Since I want to keep received emails, should I move them to a folder in On My Mac? I don't see where emails are stored on the hard drive, so until I know that I'll be able to retrieve them, I don't want to delete the POP account.

You may find that all these messages also exist on the Gmail server, and if so they will sync with the IMAP access. The account folder and the Inbox, etc, can be found at Home/Library/Mail in a folder beginning with POP.
You can leave the POP account, and only disable it in Mail Preferences/Accounts/Advanced until you check or transfer the info.
