  • Dual Displays on the stock card...

I'm going to be using my Mac Pro for pro audio, and maybe some light picture editing. I'm looking to buy 2 20 inch LCDs that will run at a native resolution of 1600x1050. Will the stock Mac Pro card handle that or do I need to upgrade? I don't care about speedy Picture editing, I just think it will just be nicer then using my Macbook... Anyone know for sure if that will be OK for that card?
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Stock Card And Inventory Material Report - S_P00_07000139

    Hi,
I am exploring the Report S_P00_07000139.
The report line items are as follows:
    Start date :        01.05.2009                         0  EA                   0.00  INR
Date                     GR/GI Slip           MvT           Receipt             Issue               Balance quantity
    20.06.2009          4900002021       301            0.000                10.000            10.000-
    26.06.2009          4900000051       641           240.000             0.000              230.000

As shown above, I am just wondering why the Report is showing Issue (10 Qty) in the First Line Item with Negative Balance Quantity 10.
Please note that there is no Openng Stock exists as on 01.05.2009 in the System.
While exploring T Code MB51, I get to know that posting of Document 4900000051(Mov Type 641) is done on 26.06.2009 (System Date) and the posting of Document 4900002021 is done on 01.08.2009.
What is the logic behind the above Transaction? How the System allows us to Issue the Material Without Stock?
    Please advise.
    Regards,

please check the stock at MMBE and at MM03 --accounting view and plant stock data.
also please check the history tables MBEWH /MARDH and statistical tables s032.

  • HP 15 TouchSmart Notebook PC upgrade for stock wifi card

I would like to know what wifi card I can buy to replace the stock card in my Notebook:
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-3110M CPU @ 2.40GHz
    BIOS version F.17
    Windows 8.1 64 bit
    TIA

In my experience, most laptops don't support being able to replace these kind of components with 3rd party options. If the wifi card has failed, you would have to purchase one with the same part number or risk your motherboard/bios not recognizing the card. It is more than just a driver issue. Many manufacturers will write support for only a few (sometimes, only one or two) cards into the bios. There may be a way if you are comfortble modding your bios, but that is beyond my ability to talk you through.

  • Video Card Confusion

Greetings. I currently own a Dual 2.7 DP G5. When purchased, I had Apple install the NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL video card. I am getting ready to purchase the new Mac Pro 2.8. Although a Mac user since 1984, and a bit of a "power-user," if there is one thing I know absolutely nothing about, it's the world of video cards.
With that being said, my question should be fairly easy for any video-card "guru."
If I buy the new machine, should I get it with the stock card and then install my current card, or does this technology advance so rapidly, that although when I purchased the card, it was considered "very high-end," - it ain't so hot, now?
Should I stick with the stock card? Spending an extra $200 on the The GeForce 8800 GT is an option. The one thing that puzzles me, that I have read, is the following: The GeForce 8800 GT video card provides higher performance when playing games but does not seem to support rendering Core Image effects as well. I never play any games, but I do want to drive a new 30" HD and the older 23" Cinema display.
Any help that anyone can offer, will be greatly appreciated. - Frank

A G5 graphics card won't work in a Mac Pro, even though they are both PCI-Express. They have different firmware.
The GeForce 8800 GT card should be faster than the standard card, but apparently some more work is needed on the drivers or pro video software to take advantage of it.

  • Video card question for new iMac

    Howdy all,
I'm about to order a new BTO iMac, and I'm wondering if somebody could give me feedback on the two different video cards available.
Cost is not really a concern here (I would rather spend more on the video card and cut back on something like RAM for now because RAM can be upgraded later). My main concern is performance and the best image quality.
I understand the NVidia would be faster for 3D gaming than the ATI - which I would use a little bit. So the NVidia would seem to be a no-brainer.
However, I've heard a couple people (on various forums) state that although the NVidia is definitaly faster for gaming - it performs slower than the ATI at some tasks like iMovie and iDVD tasks and text scrolling and motion are not as good.
For me, I would love to have the faster 3D gaming speed of the NVidia for the few times I do game...but the most important thing to me is image quality for things like photo and video editing, working with documents etc. Are any of these thoughts regarding the NVidia vs ATI true?
Does anybody have any advice regarding the performance these two cards? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!
    Sully

I had the 20" 2.16 (late 2006 model) with the x1600 128MB and now have the 24" 2.8 2600Pro 256MB and 2G stock RAM. It's night and day with Call of Duty 2. I am able to play COD2 in 16:9 mode, all graphic settings max'd out and the fps? Wow! One most maps it ranges between 190-270fps! That smokes the previous version of 40-90fps. One the most complex maps my 24" drops to 90-110 range. Seriosuly, anything above about 60fps is perfectly playable! I'm thrilled with the stock card. However, COD2 is older, I play it native in OS X and do not game in boot camp. That may change a few things.

  • G4 quicksilver dual 1ghz: how many video cards can i install?

i've kept this great old machine on the shelf, now i've found a use for it!  i've been programming video installations for theatre using isadora (on more modern machines) and would love to utilize my old G4.  currently installed is the stock card with a VGA and an ADC output, and i've run 2 monitors off it in the past.  i'd like to run my ADC powered 17" studio display (control screen) plus at least 2,3 or more video projectors, so i'd like to install an additional video card(s).  ideally VGA or DVI, but s-video or even component could work- it doesn't need to be high definition. can this machine handle it, and if so, recommendations for a good card, or multiple cards?  i have several open slots, how many is feasable to stack in there?
    thanks y'all!

Remember that video cards use the most power of any PCI cards. There is usually a finite limit to how much power the computer's PCI bus can provide.
I don't know the limimts on the QS, but the old Beige G3s has a limit of 45W total across three slots--I doubt it's a lot more on yours.  The assumption back then was that most PCI vidcards then drew 25W. Unlike newer cards that have power "taps" top allow direct connection to the power supply, older PCI vidcards seldom had this convenience. I have a radeon 9200 and it does not.
The 9200 had a lot of VRAM but did not support Apple's Quartz Extreme video technology. Although great for 3D stuff, its 2D performance in OSX was dismal, with scrolling and dragging being choppy. You do not want that card as you primary video source on a computer with AGP graphics. There was a hack to get around the QE issue but it seldom worked without issue if you had more that one PCI card of any kind.

  • Dumb question re video card

I bought a radeon 9800 pro graphics card to upgrade my 64mb. stock card and before installing noticed that the new card has one DVI port and one VGA port. the box says it runs dual displays, right now I have dual CRTs running but want to run two flat panels soon.
so the dumb question, can I convert the VGA to DVI with just a cheap adapter and run dual flats without buying an expensive converter for the second VGA port?

    Hi Prankster,
you wont be able to get dual digital support from the 9800 ...sorry.
Of course, you might be able to *physically connect* two digital flat panels to the card but one of the monitor connectors will be recieving an analog video input signal from this graphic card.
To get true dual digital support from ATI you would need the 9600 or 9700 Pro graphic cards.
    Hope this helps !
    Cheers,
    Chris Chamberlain

  • Video cards currently availble for 07 Mac Pro?

    Hi,
I got the "stock" card with my 2007 Mac pro. I never upgraded. What video cards are currently available for an upgrade that include dual DVI ports? I'm going to be upgrading to get better graphic quality when gaming under XP (32-bit).
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

There is no perfect single card for OpenGL (and CL for Snow), and for running games.
A Radeon 48xx would be ideal, or a pair of 3870s maybe. But see if these help
