Stock movement type-301 issue

Hi, stock r moved frm 1 plant to another.
then how to update costing of the material maintained for one plant , for the other plant.
scenario is: one plant is procuring , then it is sent to another plant for manufacturing and from thereon it is despatched.

                301 - M.Type is Transfer the material one plant to another plant.
              1. Material is same.
               2. Location is different.
                3. how to valuate the material for valuation area
                 ( Plant ) that is important.
                4. Example Material 'A' Plant is 0001 and 0002.
                 5. In 0001 - value is 100
                 6. in 0002 - value is 110.
                 You are maintain Like this.
Now you want to transfer the material form 0001 to 0002.
Qty - 1000.
The Accounting Effect is   Dr. 100000
                                      Cr . 100000.
In transfer posting What is the Value of from area system considure that Price Only.

Accounting document will be created if you transfer a valuated material & also quantity update happens.

Stock Transfer for Excisable Materials Using Movement Type 301

Hi,
We are having a Plant 1002 as excisable Materials.
During GR we following the process like GR (Part -I), Capture Invoice, Post Invoice.
Can we transfer the Material from Plant 1002 to other Plant, say 1001, using Movement Type 301?
Or we need to follow some other router for Stock Transfer for the Excisable Materials?
I was told by the ex-consultant that we would be using Mov Type 301 for all Stock Transfers, but I have a doubt, please guide.*

Hi PK,
Here in Brazil we work with excisable material and when we have to transfer it plant to plant, we have to use IVA that performs tax posts on accounting document. Also, we have to create Nota Fiscal (BrazillianLegal Document).
I think you have to talk to your legal/accounting area in order to make sure which procedure you will have to use.
If you need tax posting on accounting document, then you will not be able to use 301 movement type.
We use MM/SD Plant to Plant transfer (movement type 861 / 862)
Depending on your Legal/accounting area feed back, you could use this scenario or just MM plant to plant transfer (movement type 303/305).
If they are ok with no tax postings on accounting document, then 301 movement type should be used.
Try to make a test, show then how it works, then you could get ok from then

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between the movement types 301 and 641. When is it not possible to use the movement type 301 for stock transfer between plants?

Movement Type 301 - Transfer posting plant to plant in one step
The quantity is transferred from unrestricted-use stock in the issuing plant to unrestricted-use stock in the receiving plant.
Movement Type 641 - Goods issue for a stock transport order (Two step process)
The quantity is transferred using delivery from unrestricted-use stock of the issuing plant to stock in transit of the receiving plant.
I have not used 641 but if it is 2 step then
in 1st step u need to issue the goods from suppling plant to the reciving plant & as it is 2 step then the stocks are going to be in reciving plant transit
then again u have to use the tcode for the reciving of stock and probably movemnt type is going to be 643 to recive the goods at reciving plant

Automatic batch number in migo_tr with movement type 301

Hi!
I am trying to do a transfer from a plant to another with MIGO_TR movement type 301.
The thing is that I must enter manually the batch number in the destination plant.
Is there a possibilty to configure the system in order to copy in batch number field for destination plant the same batch number entered in the plant from where I want to transfer?

your system does not work like designed
please read this very old but release independend OSS note 555 - Batch treatment during stock transfer and transfer posting:
Key word: Transfer batch
If you enter materials for stock transfers or transfer postings with movement types 301 to 316 via collective processing and in this case enter the batch number for materials to be handled in batches, the system automatically sets 'Receiving batch' equal to 'Issuing batch'.
Additional key words
Cause and prerequisites
The collective processing screen does not provide space for an additional transfer batch in the two lines provided for a material movement.
Solution
During the stock transfer of material, the batch is usually retained. If you want to change the batch number, you have to enter the item in question step by step (F8=New item).

I think you can do it.But you have treat this as stock transfer purchase order and you have to do the billing through the SD module. For details you can check with MM Forum.

Movement type for issuing materials from project stock to vendor

after making GRN, the stock is updated in Project stock. now from the project stock, i want to issue the materials to vendor. which MvT i have to use and where it displays the Vendor. i need to track the materilas provided to vendor.

Here you are talking about Subcontracting Scenario.
If you need to transfere the project stock to vendor, then you will need to do 2 steps:
1. Transfer the Project stock to own (unrestricted use) stock. (411 Q)
2. Transfer the Own stock to vendor. (541)

By mistake an user has uploded stocks of 1 material 1000 units thro movement type 561 in production server and saved it
The article doc got generated and the stock is showing in MMBE
How to reverse that
Is it advisable to use movement type 562 ?

You can do in migo the reversal for the mvt type 561 by using 562, it will not affect any where in the accounting, if you do GR reversal the stocks will reduced automatically from the mmbe

Return item to blocked stock (Movement type 531)

In my Bill of Material, I have an item with a negative quantity; this is so when I confirm a Production Order, the component, instead of being backflushed (MvT 261), instead, it is returned to stock with Movement Type 531.
My question is, how can I determine that this item is always returned to Blocked Stock instead of Unrestricted Use Stock?

If you maintain negative quantity in BOM, then system will post 531 movement type only when you confirm the production order. If you want to post that stock to blocked stock always automatically it is not possible. You can activate 04 inspection type. Then stock will be posted to quality after Goods Receipt. From quality you can change to blocked stock. This is one way to shift to blocked stock.
If you want to post 261 movement in production order while confirmation you activate back flush option in MRP-2 view of that material master. Then while confirmation automatically 261 movement is posted by the system.

Screen Sequence for Mov Type 301

Dear All,
I am doing two step transfer from one plant to another plant belonging to two diff company codes. When I use 301 movement type, the item detail data is coming at the top and the header data is showing at the bottom of the screen.
Please suggest where can I change this screen sequence for this movement type.

I am sorry, Its a typing error. I am talking about 303 itself. When i try to post material document with 303, the item detail is showing at the iter overview's place and vice versa. Could you please suggest where can I change settings so as to get the correct screen sequence?

BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE for movement type 161, issues in PO creation

Hello Gurus,
I am using movement type 161 with BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE in order creating a vendor PO based on the goods receipt posted with the BAPI.
It works fine, nevertheless due to business requirements, I need to apply the following changes:
- in SAP standard the order type is NB by default but in our case I would like to force another order type using the same range that NB. I guess this could be done by activating exit ZXM06U17 (MM06E003). Does someone could confirm it?
- in our process, the purchasing group is not maintained at vendor level (LFM1-EKGRP) but as this field is mandatory in the PO creation and as this data can not be maintained in BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE, does someone know if it would be possible to force this value during the PO creation (EKKO-EKGRP) based on a maintenance table? If yes in which user-exit? Exit ZM06U43 could be used?
- furthermore, our specific PO type should have a specific account assignement EKPO-KNTTP instead of the default value U, does someone know if it would be possible to force this value during the PO creation (EKKO-EKGRP) based on a maintenance table? If yes in which user-exit? Exit ZM06U43 could be used?

Hi Priya,
Just want to share with your guys how to fit this error in BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE.
For movement type 161 of PO return you have to pass movement type 101 instead of 161
goodsmvt_item-bwart = 101. After that standard function will determine 101 to 161 automatically and
post that material doc.
NOTE:
In my case
It just heppen only the FIRST time that you do movement with PO Return wich is needed to pass
101 in stead of 161 but after that you can pass 161 the system will continue process correctly.

Our requirement is as follows
The user needs to be
authorized to movement 501,502 in plant 4101 and 4100
and to movements 262 in plant 4100 only
so we created and assigned following roles to the user.
test-role-4100 with Movement type 262 and plant 4100
test-role-MT501 with Movement type 501,502 and plant
4100,4101
But still user is able to create document with mov.type 262 in plant
4101
