Stock not in SNP Planning Book

Hi
We are doing a global implementation and we have seen the issue where stock exists in live cache, and is correctly considered in SNP Heuristics, but the stock on hand is not displayed in the SNP planning book.
This is NOT an issue with the stock category, as the same stock category is displayed for Poland and the UK locations.
This is leading me to think this might be a time zone issue?
What possible reasons can people think of where stock of the CC category is in live cache but not displayed in the SNP planning book. But another plant location is performing correctly for CC stock.
S SB

I have answered my own issue. The stock on hand macro is initial stock + Receipts - Demands.
Deployment is running in the evening and pushing out the stock, the day rolls over to the next day and then the deployment STR demand is considered history and as per the above formula is netting off the stock.
This is a symptom of running the SNP run in the evening, not at 00.01am. (Deployment STRs of stock are instantly in the past) which then affects the stock on hand balance.
Hope that is clear to anyone else having this issue.
Simon.

  • SNP - Planning Book/Data View not showing up in /SAPAPO/SNP94

    Hi All:
I created a planning Book out of a custom SNP planning area. While I could see the Planning Book in the list of Planning Book in the /SAPAPO/SDP94 - Interactive Supply Network Planning (all Books)   I could not see the custom planning book in /SAPAPO/SDP94 - Interactive Supply Network Planning (all Books) .  I could ony see the SAP supplied PB there.  Will SDP94 transaction display only the standard SNP Planning book?  How can I make sure that the custom PB is displaed in /SAPAPO/SDP94?
    pl. help
    Thanks

    Hi Narayanan,
    a couple of simple checks..
can you please check that you have not set a filter critera in the shuffler in planning book/data view?
you can also check if by mistake only a limited number of users are assigned to this planning book and data view ?
else you may want to check note : , 327371
    Let me if this helps.

  • Demand on VC material not visible in SNP planning book

    Hi Experts,
Is there any way to plan VC (Variant Configuration ) materials in SNP at the group level ?
I will explain the scenario more in details below
I have an VC material say X. Material X has end product Y attached to it (material variant). When material X is cifed to APO, it appears as configurable product in APO & is a top level product. Now when I create a demand on material X through DP, the demand appears in product view (RRP3). However the demand does not appear in the SNP planning book nor it gets selected during background planning run. The system is configured as Variant Configuration & not CDP.
Is it possible to plan material X in SNP ? If possible how can the demand be read in SNP ?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,
One of the limitations of Characteristics Based Forecasting is, CBF results can only be used in PPDS and not in SNP, hence it is not possible to plan that material X in SNP. Even though you use MC90 transaction which is release DP to SNP, but the data will not be available in SNP
That material X will be planned only in PPDS, there are two ways to plan, those are
    1. one way is by releasing CBF results to active version using MC90 transaction, during this release, you should maintain consumption group in release settings and in product master, in this case you have to use Forecast Check/Allocation check as a part of ATP/GATP, here you can not use CTP or MATP
2.the other way is by releasing CBF results to inactive version using MC90 transaction, during this release you should not define consumption groups,  generate the dependent requirements in inactive verison using heuristics in PPDS , and convert dependent requirements from inactive version to Forecast - active version using /SAPAPO/DMP2 transaction, in this case you can use MATP/CTP as a part of GATP

  • Process orders not reflecting in SNP planning book

    Hi,
I am facing a problem here that the SNP planned orders once converted into process orders in ECC are not reflecting in the SNP planning book.
However if i check the /sapapo/rrp3 product view, the process orders are visible here.
Kindly help me understand if i am missing out something here.
    Thanks,
    Nalin

    Hi,
Please Check whether the ATP category is assigned to the Category group which is assigned to KF in the planning.
If that is assigned rightly then run TS cons check.

  • Purchase requisition date in SNP planning book and product view not in sync

    Hello Experts,
We have an issue with display of purchase requisition date in SNP planning book.
We are manually entering the PR's for a perticular week from Monday - Sunday(01.09.2014- 07.09.2014), when the last PR is entered on 07.09.2014, it does not appear on the same day in planning book(cell becomes empty) and moves to 06.09.2014, thus quantity on 06.09.2014 is the summation of the quantities present on 06th and 07th.
The PR dates are appearing correct when we click on display details in planning book and they are correct in product view, MD04 as well.
Additionally, this is the same date on which daylight saving time comes  into effect.
Kindly advise if anyone has faced similar situation earlier.
    Many thanks,
    Aditi

    Hi Aditi,
Check the time zone that you have in your location in ECC and APO.
Also note it is recommended that you maintain the same system time zone in APO and in ECC. (check tcode STZAC in both systems).
Different time zones should generate this kind of inconsistencies.
    Kind Regards,

  • The "Details All" view in the SNP planning book is not sorted

The "Details All" view in the SNP planning book should be sorted by Product Description in ascending order.
When all products in the selection ID are loaded into the SNP planning book, and then "Details All" is selected from the Header area, the product description list is not sorted in ascending order.
However when I load small number of products the issue does not occur they get sorted correctly by product description.
Is this hapenning due to standard functionality/Standard macro in Planning book?
Please let me know if anybody has faced this kind of issue earlier.
Edited by: Rohit Arun Bhosale on Jul 5, 2010 1:05 PM

    Hi Rohit,
If you are using Detail All drill down then you wonu2019t get any option for sort as it will load all codes from the selection  in the planning book and sorting will be based on product IDs.
but if you drill down from header on detail all -filter, even if you sort the display list there using ascending/descending button for Description, the list that you will get in the planning book after load will be based on the Product IDs agian.
I hope this is controlled from the selection we do in planning book where we select Location/Product, but if your planning is better driven by the description then you can remove the Product ID selection from header setting and have only description in drill down.

  • SNP Planning Book not showing Bucket Capacity

    Hi,
I have a process in which for some materials subcontracting is required and this subcontractors are managed under SNP. We define the capacity of subcontractor in numbers. Bucket Capacity is defined in the Master Data of Resource of this subcontractors and it is not getting viewed in the planning book.
Can some one help me why it is not in Planning Book.

    Hi,
Please run the planning area consistancy check and try the same with SNP planning book. Also check the live cahe version of the resource.Ignore if you already have done all these steps.
Also check the UOM of the bucket resource and the planning area UoM.

  • Data available in RRP3 view but not coming in SNP planning book

    Hi All,
I am facing an issue in SNP book. I can see forecasts in RRP3 view. But when I load the same data in SNP planning book, the forecasts are not coming there (forecast KF)
I ran LC Cons check, PA cons check, OM17, but still the same result.
Any pointer would be highly valuable.
    Regards,
    Manotosh Bhattacharya

    Hi
If you look at the standard Forecast KF 9ADFCST in your planning area, it is usually assigned the Category Group of DF1. This category group only contains the category FA for forecast. If you create Forecast in /SAPAPO/RRP3, this will create Additional Forecast or category group FC. Therefore any forecast generated this way will not appear against the standard planning book KF.
So you have two choices, if your forecast is only FC category then use the KF 9AAFCST Forecast (Addittional) in your data view or create a new Category Group with both FA and FC assigned to it and then assign this Categotry Group to 9ADFCST in your planning area.

  • Meaning of CONDET key figure in standard 9ASNP94 APO SNP planning book

I am trying to clarify the use and meaning of the CONDET (capacity consumption details) key figure in the SAP standard SNP planning book 9ASNP94.
    Any advice appreciated...

    Hi  Frank,
This indeed is practical requirement wih no simple solution ( at least we  did not find).
We created a background job for deletion of the stocks ( which were updated through IDOCs like your situation) at specific periodicity. The jobs were made as per planners with specific variants and when planner would like to delete the stocks, the job will be run.
Another option could to be copy the standard program /SAPAPO/RLCDELETE to a module program and check validation at the input screen, before calling the deletion program.

  • How can you block production for a specific product in SNP planning book

    Hi All,
Looking for a way to manually indicate a decision to prevent production in a specific cell for a product in the SNP planning book utilizing the supply planning and capacity leveling heuristics.  For this requirement the resource would have available capacity during that time period.  It also could plan other products in that time period.  The requirement is for a planner to manually go into the planning book to somehow indicate that the heuristic should not consider that time period as available for a specific product, while still leaving the resource available for other products.
Has anyone run into this before?  Any experience on how to stop a heurisitc from considering a specific time bucket  for a specific product as available for orders?
    Thanks
    -Mike

    Hello Mike,
I haven't tried it yet myself but I kow that there is the option in the Planning Book to manually fix several periods for a specific location product. This will prevent the heuristic from planning these periods for the specified product. For details please have a look in the Online Help for SNP under key word "Order Fixing".

  • For requirement strategy 30 forecast not seen in planning book

    Hi Experts,
I am using planning strategy 50 in ECC and same has been transfered to APO as 30. Just to test scenario I have entered manually forecast in product view and created sales order in ECC which is CIFed to APO. Now as per SAP guide, scenario works fine in product view, where sales orders consumes forecast and shows remaining forcast after consumption.
But the remaining forecast and sales order is not seen in SNP planning book. Any suggestions?
    Best regards,
    Vaibhav

    Dear Vaibhav,
I have a basic question ? Strategy group  50 in ECC  comes to APO as Requirement Strategy 30 ..
But it is a Make to Order strategy .
Do you think that it is logical to plan /Forecast a make to order product?
You can enter a forecast in product view , system will not stop you.
If you click on the item it will show as make to order planning segment.
So, I dont think that you can forecast .
whatever you see the product view cannot be seen in the planning book.

  • How to manually enter forcast/demand in SNP Planning Book

    Hi experts,
Kindly help me there are two questions on my mind. First
    1. How to create manually forecast in SNP planning book? and also in RRP3? (if the product is in house it automatically creates planned order, if externally procured PREQ but how about forecast using product view?
    2. If the forecast is in the past but I want to upload that in the SNP Planning book?
Even if I change the period structure date it does not reflect the past dates in the planning book.  Since the planning book of SNP is standard how am I be able to change the planning book time bucket start date.
    Thanks and Best Regards!!!!

    Hi,
in /SAPAPO/SJKTST04 you set the type of order FCST, then you planning area and version, keyfigure to populate (your forecast keyfigure, probably 9ADFCST), the order type (usually FA)
In the details you set product, date to start, in horizon - the number of orders to create, if you set 10, you'll get 10 orders starting from your start date).
Unfortunately through here, you gan create orders with fixed quantity only and also for only one product/location combination.
If you already have DP available, even for testing I find it more easy to release forecast from there.
For your second question - at least for 4.1 (I don't have a 5.0 system to check) you cannot have past dates in a column other than "Initial"
    Hope that helps,
    br,
    Mikhail

  • User are getting kicked out of SNP planning book

    Hello Experts
I hope you can help me out here!
From time to time we are experiencing strange issue for SNP user's .. User are getting kicked out from SNP planning book
    Please help us.
    Thanks
    Ramesh

    Hi Ramesh,
As far as I know, users should not get kicked out unless someone terminates their session.
Even if they lock some data and the same data is needed by some job, it's the job that would fail showing data lock. Similarly, if some other uses tries to access the locked data, the user who is accessing later would face the issue of not being able to go to edit mode.
It's possible to write programs that could specifically do this work of kicking out users before we run batch jobs, but let me assume that this is not the case with you.
One possibility is that there is issue in livecache and so users are not able to access livecache or get kicked out from their active session (e.g. your log area gets full, then users would soon get kicked out after seeing the system hanging initially). This you would need to check at the time when users face issue. This would also mean that other processes that need livecache should also fail e.g. GATP, or SNP planning or PPDS planning related jobs would fail at the same time.
If you could share exactly what error message the users are seeing, that could be helpful in resolving the issue.
    Thanks - Pawan

  • Exclusion of stock categories from SNP Planning

    HI All,
I am trying to exclude specific stock categories from SNP Planning (Heuristics/CTM). These categories include 'CI' (Blocked stock) and 'CF' (Stock in Quality Inspection). According to note 487166, Blocked Stock is not relevant for planning and Quality Inspection stock is relevant for planning. Apparently this is hard coded. Still, the system seems to be taking both Blocked and Quality Stock into consideration when executing heuristics or CTM.
I have also attempted to deselectu2019 Stock in Quality Inspection' and 'Blocked Stock' in the product master > Demand > Available Stock tab, but the system still considers them during planning.
I have also read that the user exit APOCF011 can be used to change the stock category and change the Planning Relevance. However, the down side of this is that not all business unites want to use this same logic and this is a system wide change.
I was hoping there was an easier way then the user exit (e.g. setting in product master > Demand tab), but there does not seem to be any other options? At the very least, I would expect Blocked Stock not to be considered as relevant to planning (according to OSS Note 487166). However, this does not seem to be the case in our system.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.
    Kind Regards,
    Paul

    Hi Paul,
There is a way to exclude some stock categories in SNP Planning. You can create a ATP category group just with those stock elements that you want to consider and assignt this category group in location, SNP tab. I use this configuration for SNP optimizer, and it should work for SNP heuristics.
I worked in few CTM projects, but if I were you I would create a order selection without some stock categories and assign this order seelction in planning scope/CTM profile.
