Stock overview using navigation profile in MD04

Hi,
after excuting MD04 when i using the navigation profile for the first time to view the the stock , its show all the stock batches. In between when i view the any one of the batch in MSC3n and while again excuting the MD04 and viewing stock views in navigation profile, its show the last viewed batch stock only.

i checked the same it copy the last batch on the MMBE. If there is any option to remove the last batch entry in mmbe.

Navigation Profiles

I created a new navigation profile for MD04 for purchasing in the Develpoment client. I want to move it to QA and PRD but the normal transport method is not working. Can anyone give me step-by-step instructions on how to create the transport for this Profile. I have read some documentation in the SAP Library but I don't think it is referring to this type of navigation profile. Any assistance is appreciated.

Yes I could only manage the transaction call. No specific reason as such, other than it is what users have got use to in the previous version. You know what happens when something changes!.

MD04 Navigation profile

I have created a navigation profile but when i jump from MD04 to this new screen i am getting an error message "specify atleast one restricted parameter" and it jumps back to MD04 right away. Then i selected the check box "With initial screen" under general transaction calls in config so now i can jump from MD04 to this new screen but just on the initial selection screen, I am trying to jump to the result screen and not on the selection screen . Any help be great!

you define navigation profiles for the MRP list and the stock/requirements list. Navigation profiles enable you to navigate faster and more flexibly between transactions. For each profile, you define:
a record of generall transaction calls
a record of specific transaction calls for each MRP element required
Each user can assign a navigation profile in the respective list, under the menu path Environment --> Navigation profile --> Assign or under Settings. The system then offers transactions suitable for the users work, without the user having to define the jumps.
After saving, the general transaction calls appear under the menu path Environment --> Navigation profile, and in the application toolbar. The transaction calls per MRP element appear in the application toolbar for the detail dialog box.
In detail, you define:
the number of the transaction call
if applicable, the indicator for the MRP element (only for transaction calls per MRP element)
the transaction code
if applicable, the icons
the icon text, menu text, information text
the parameters, which enable you to skip the initial screen of the transaction
the conditions, which must be given, for the transaction call to be offered (only for general transaction calls)
the application component: operational and/or long-term planning
The number of transaction calls possible is not limited. However, in the MRP list and the stock/requirements list, only the following are displayed:
the first five general transaction calls that are valid in the given context,
the first two transaction calls per MRP element that are valid in the given context.
The determining factors for the selection are the conditions entered, the application component, and the respective navigation number.

Stock overview option in notification screen (QM01/QM02)

Dear Friends,
We are using ECC6.00. QM module is also implemented. In Quality management we create notifications for handling rejections. All stock postings are defined as action boxes. I want in the screen of the notificaiton, the stock overview icon so that prior to posting the stock, i can check the same.Is there any way to get my requirement met.

Bloqued Stock Default into REM Profile

Hi everyone:
I need to know how can i be able to set the Stock Type to REM Profile, 'cause I need that the result of the Posting into MFBF T.code be Blocked Stock, instead of, Unrestr. Stock.
I was trying by the REM Profile into: IMG guide: Production> REM > Control > Profile... but... I don't get to find out the check or the configuration parameter to set this stock type. I know that into the MFBF there is a function with F5 to Change Detailed Setting but, I need this parameter pre set for all access into that screen and don't is changing it each time i go to this T code.

Check in Customizing for Inventory Management under Copy, Change Movement Types whether the entry is contained in the Update control view for the movement type.
If the entry is missing, proceed as follows:
For standard movement types, this means that the given process is not supported using the present data combination. Do not create any entries without prior arrangement with your SAP consultant. Otherwise, incorrect postings may result.
For customer-defined movement types (beginning with 9, X, Y, or Z), this may mean that they have not been fully defined. Delete the movement type and re-create it by copying a standard movement type.

Import of Navigation Profile of COOIS

Hello Masters,
I have created Navigation Profile under COOIS in client where order data is available as explained under example heading at "http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/c6/c04942da51690de10000000a155106/frameset.htm".
As mentioned in above link, I tried import option in customising client via the transaction "NAVP_MANAGE" as well as through COOIS. In transaction "NAVP_MANAGE", I didn't get any value for import and in COOIS there was no list generation as there was no data in system.
So, the problem is as I was unable to import Navigation Profile into customising client from client with appication data (both clients are in same system), I can't move forward to include this into transport request.
Any input on import or transportation of Navigation Profile will be be helpful.

You might be using the program name as PPIO_ENTRY but SAP doesn't store navigation profile for that program because it has different type of navigation profiles for different type of report executions like Order Header, Component list, Item list, Operation list.
The Navigation profiles are stored in table NAVP_PROFILE use SE16N to look up it's entries, there you can see all the navigation profiles (for all the programs, both user specific and global). User specific profiles have username in username field.
For example if you have created navi profile for COHV/COOIS Order headers then the program name would be PPIOH000; Order components would be PPIOM000 etc...
Use them program names in TCode: NAVP_MANAGE

Character Based Stock Overview

Hi All,
while selecting batch classification system is asking for display for batch classification stock only be accessed from batch level downwards.How to proceed further? Is batch management to be activated for the variant configurable material.
But my requirement is without batch management.I want to see the stock overview with characteristics.

Dear,
You can use BMBC t-code.
Enter t-code BMBC.
Go tab of Classification.
Enter your class in field of selection class and click on execute button.
So system give you list of material.
Click on drop down of material. Here you see the batch of materials.
Select batch and click on Display selection result for stock button available at header level.
Then click on change layout, Here you can see field of unrestricted stock and other stock detail.
Select it and transfer in display mode.
Then click on execute button, You get stock of materials.

Hi,
Please note that MBEW contains the stock position as of now. MBEWH contains the closing stock of all the previous periods. However if there is no transaction in a particular period you may not find a record in MBEWH for that period.

Material Master (Industry/Retail): Enhancements to Period Closing
Description
In Release 4.5A, the period closing function has been redesigned to eliminate or at least alleviate the following problems:
Long runtime if there are very many stock segments
Locking of all materials while the period closing program is run
Data inconsistencies in stock segments due to incorrect operation of the period closing program by users
The enhancements made to eliminate or alleviate these problems affect the way in which period closing is performed technically and particularly the data design. As a result, the following information is intended primarily for the following persons:
System administrators
Developers (for example, in customer projects)
Other persons in IT departments or systems departments
Runtime
The runtime of the period closing program has been improved substantially since no stock tables (such as MBEW, MARD, or MCHB) are updated any longer for the change in period, unless the change in period is a change in fiscal year. Only the material ledger tables are updated.
If the change in period coincides with the end of a fiscal year, the program also updates the physical inventory indicators and thus those tables relevant to physical inventory management; that is, even in this case, table MBEW in particular is no longer updated.
Locking of materials
The materials are locked by the period closing program only if the material ledger is used.
In the case of a change in fiscal year, no physical inventory transactions can be performed when running the period closing program.
Ease of use
As of Release 4.5A, period closing is performed in inventory management or invoice verification; that is, whenever, for example, a goods movement is made, the period is updated in the relevant stock segments of the material if the material is moved for the first time in this period.
Changes to the interface
There have been no changes to the interface.
Changes in procedure
The implementation of the above enhancements has required the data design to be changed as follows:
Stock tables MBEW, EBEW, QBEW, MARC, MARD, MCHB, MKOL, MSKA, MSSA, MSKU, MSLB, MSPR, and MSSQ now have history tables, for example, MBEWH is the history table for MBEW, and EBEWH the history table for EBEW. For each period, these history tables can contain an entry with the corresponding stock information, and are created for the previous period whenever there is a change in period-relevant information such as unrestricted-use stock. This means that the information for the previous period can no longer be read directly from tables MBEW, EBEW, and so on, but that tables MBEWH, EBEWH, etc. have to be read and interpreted.
The point in time at which the system is upgraded to Release 4.5A is important for interpreting the history tables. If the period has been closed at least once after the upgrade, the stocks for the previous period are contained, for example, in history table MARDH. If this table does not contain a corresponding entry, the previous period stock for the corresponding stock fields is the same as the current stock.
Fields LFMON/LFGJA of the stock tables no longer contain the current period, but one of the following periods, depending on when the upgrade took place:
Period of the last goods movement, invoice verification, price change, or other function that has resulted in period-specific information being updated
Period of the release upgrade if no such function has been performed since the system was upgraded
The current period is still recorded (as prior to Release 4.5A) in table MARV.
Planning
In a future release, it is planned for the data in the material ledger to no longer be updated by the period closing program. This will further increase the speed of the program.

I have a use case where I need to use different download directories with different firefox profiles.I need to use this profiles in multiple linux machines.
I need to have a relative path to my download directory with respect to the profile folder.
Ex: I have a selenium test which opens a website and downloads it to my machine.I want this downloaded file to go into some specific folder relative to this profile folder.How do I do this??

That is not a practically empty xinitrc - that file only needs one line: exec WM. Other things are entirely optional, and some of them very useful, but I'd encourage you to stick with the simplest xinitrc that will do what you require.
Is slim involved? Probably. That is the source of many problems. But to start narrowing this down, I have 3 suggestions:
1) temporarily (at least) change your inittab to default to runlevel 3 ... actually, is it currently set to 5 or 3? if it is currently 3 that would explain why slim doesn't start.
2) at a tty in runlevel 3 use "xinit" instead of "startx". Startx is fine most of the time, but it is essentially just a complex wrapper for xinit. That complexity can often iadd useful functionality, but it *always* makes troubleshooting more difficult. So for now just use a vanilla 'xinit'.
3) remove dbus-launch from your exec line in xinitrc. This is done by console-kit so it is redundant and potentially problematic. Further BOTH of these are taken care of by slim, so I'd even suggest getting both a jump start on being ready for slim and simplifying troubleshooting by removing both of them. Just make that line "exec openbox-session"
Edit: adding one more:
4) temporarily switch out openbox-session for openbox. I suspect the reason feh's setting of the background is getting overridden is due to a script or setting in openbox's autostart settings - many of these are only invoked when "openbox-session" is called, while "openbox" starts *just* the window manager itself.

MMBE stock overview - S Loc Level stock not getting displayed - ECC 6 0

In ECC 6,0 Version, in the MMBE (stock overview) stock is getting displayed only at the Plant level. It is not showing at levels below for eg. S Loc level/Valuation type level. Is there any setting to be activated for this?
Can any one throw some light?

is there any transaction or report to get Stock overview plantwise/ storagelocationwise ... except MMBE it gives particular material.. i want per particular plant or storage location total materials stock.
I want stock report similar to MMBE it gives available stock per single material in a palnt but my requirement to print available stock per all materials in a given material along with storagelocation wise/batch wise and total quantity.

There's quite a lot you can do in Logistics Info Systems to report on stocks across multiple materials.
Other than that, it depends on what you really want to show - stock that's physically present (e.g. including vendor-owned consignment), stock that you own (e.g. including customer consignment or toll manufacturers' stocks); do you want to show quantities (doesn't usually make much sense for more than one material, of course, due to varying units of measure) or values, etc.
Some of these data are quite expensive to read from a runtime perspective, in particular the "special" stocks (e.g. consignment).
You also have to consider that stock you own but that's not physically present on site (e.g. customer consignment), or GR blocked stock, usually is not assigned to a storage location.
If you give me some more info about what you're actually trying to achieve, I may be able to help you better.

Internet Shortcuts saved on Desktop open new instance of Firefox 3.6 using clean profile--how can I make it open all shortcuts using current profile?

I rely heavily on Firefox's profiling ability to assist me in my web design projects. Lately, using Firefox 3.6, I have run into some problems with how it opens Internet Shortcuts that are saved locally (i.e.- shortcuts that reside on my Desktop). When I double-click on one of these shortcuts, a new instance of Firefox 3.6 is loaded with the saved website from the shortcut, but it's also initialized a fresh profile (i.e.- my bookmarks are gone, no add-ons, etc.--it's as if it uses some sort of "hidden" clean slate to load the shortcuts).
Is there any way to force Firefox to load all shortcuts into whatever profile I'm currently using at that given moment? I think the reason this has happened to begin with is because of the fact that I did some stuff to Internet Explorer awhile back that caused some problems with the Internet Shortcut associations and it all led to this eventuality.
I'm running Windows XP Pro and have the following profiles with my Firefox versions:

Again, I think the root problem here is to do with the profiles and how they're handled when being opened with Firefox but I can't discern how to apply a fix with all this as I've obviously goobered this up a bit. I would really appreciate some professional knowledge on this and would prefer to avoid any reinstalls of anything if possible.

To save your sanity with this issue, my advice is to find a method other than desktop shortcuts to open those URL's.
1. Desktop shortcuts are going to open the Default Browser.
a. With multiple versions of Firefox installed that would be the last version that was installed when you have Firefox set as the Default Browser in Windows..
b. The Default Browser is going to use the Profile that shows a Default=1 in the profiles.ini file.
c. The Default Browser with the Default Profile isn't going to open if you have any other versions of Firefox already running, and the -no-remote command line parameter doesn't work in this situation.

The use of multiple Profiles and multiple versions isn't officially supported by Mozilla, and all the Bug reports that I have ever read about Requests for Enhancement have been WONTFIX'd by the developers. Basically we have to work with the limitations in Firefox and maybe improvise work arounds by ourselves. I've even seen a few threats about removing Profiles altogether in RFE Bug reports about Profiles.
I have had so many problems over the years with this Default Browser / Default Profile thing over the years that personally I find it easier to just set Opera as the Default Browser in Windows rather than have a Profile get b0rked because some other program I am using decides it wants to open the Default Browser unexpectedly. I don't use Opera for much, but it is a lot better than IE for purposes of being the Default Browser, considering the quirks I have seen with Firefox and multiple Profiles.
I have written a number of postings over at the MozillaZine Builds forum over the years about installing multiple versions of Firefox and using multiple Profiles. There's a lot of tips and comments provided by other multiple Profile users in one of those threads. Why don't you read those threads and see if it gives you some ideas or solutions I haven't thought of.

Can I use the Profile Manager as an MDM while distributing app through app store?

Is it possible to use the Profile Manager within the OSX Server to provision profiles through apps purchased in the app store?
Ex: userX buys app in the app store, in downloading the app they get enrolled in the MDM / OSX Server I control. They select profile settings within my app and submit to OSX Server (Profile Manager) at which point I send back OTA the provisioned profile for them to upload.
