Stock posting from quality inspection to Unrestricted

Hi ,
User has approved the 1980 qty out of 2160 qty for a inspection lot in the transaction QA11 , now the 180 qty remains in quality inspection . plesase advise how can we move the 180 qty from QI to unrestricted stock.

Does the inspection lot has been created for the entire qty and only 1980 qty has been moved to unrestricted by QA decission?
If the lot still exists for remaining qty, do the same thing for the remaining qty and if not with a new lot.

Problem in BAPI for stock posting from quality inspection to unrestricted usage

I am using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE for stock posting from quality inspection to unrestricted usage Stock against quality inspection lot(not by MB1B) using mvt type 321.The material doc gets created by the BAPI,but actual stock posting is not taking place ie.the stock doesn’t get reflected in QA33/32 and QA11 also .Can any one suggest what must be wrong?The inputs given are as follows:
GOODSMVT_HEADER:
PSTNG_DATE =30/07/2014, DOC_DATE = 30/07/2014, REF_DOC_NO = INSP LOT NO.
GOODSMVT_CODE:
GM_CODE: ‘04’ .
GOODSMVT_ITEM:

After executing this I used BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT also. I am able to see the posted qty in MMBE,but it is not reflecting in QA11/33/32.

Thanks for the reply. Even after using FM QAVE_PROCESS_AUTO_UD,when i execute
BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE, the same thing is happening.I am unable to see the stock deducted in QA33.
Is there any input in the goods mvt bapi where we can provide inspection lot no since i believe that the goods mvt has to get connected with the inspection lot.

Batch from quality inspection to unrestricted use.

Hi everybody
Someone can help me with the following problem?
I made a good receipt for order with a movement type 101. We are using the QM module, then with the movement type 101 an inspection lot is generated, consequently the amount entered is place in quality inspection. For any reason the inspection lot was not generated or this was canceled. My problem is that, now the amount entered is in quality inspection and there is not a lot inspection to move the amount from quality inspection to unrestricted use.
I tried use a movement type 102 (transaction MB31) but the system send the message that the movement must be done only with QM transaction. The same message was sent when I tried to cancel the material document (MBST).
Someone know how I can create an inspection lot or how I can move the amount from quality inspection to unrestricted use?

if you create an inspection lot manually you cannot able to post the stock ( since a manual inpsection lot is not stock relevant) better thing is try to figure out why inspection lot is not genereated and solve it
i think if the inspection lot is not generated it will show some message during MIGO itself.try to find the inspection lot using QA32 and specify the material and select Select all inspection lot

QA11-Quantity pending to be posted from quality status to unrestricted use

Hi Experts!!
In usage decision process we can select the "code valuation" as Approved to transfer automatically the total quantity from status quality to unrestricted use. But in our system, a small quantity of the total quantity does not is being transferred. eg: We have the inspection lot with 76 pc... we should select the code valuation "Approved" and save. After this, 74 pc are transferred from quality status to unrestricted use. However, 2 pc are kept in quality status.
Could you help me with this issue?

Got the solution for the same. I think you have activated in selected set for the codes "Consider Long-Term Characteristics for Stock Proposal". This is why the stock is remaining in quality
QS51 > selected set > code group > codes > long term inspection > maintain do not consider
This will solve the issue

Backflush Semifinished product and stock post to quality inspection stock

Dear Experts,
Please advise is it possible for the below in SAP. How to do?
When backflush "Semifinished product", system automatically post to quality inspection stock. Then it is skip for 9 lots. The 11th lot again post to quality inspection stock.
1st backflush posting -> post to quality inspection stock
2nd until 10th backflush posting -> post to unrestricted stock (skip)
11th backflush posting -> post to quality inspection stock

Let me further explain what I want.
Production people produce semifinished product, but quality inspection people not inspect all the product. For example they will inspect 1st and 11th batch of product only.
So I propose when backflush the semifinished product, system post the stock to quality inspection stock. Then production people know this batch of product need to be inspected and pass to quality inspection people. Once quality inspection people complete the inspection, they will release the material (UD) to unrestricted stock.
I have no idea on how to configure and maybe it is not possible in SAP. Please advise.
Question: Is it we should manually create inspection lot for each transaction (eg. backflush or material movement)?

Transfer posting stocks from quality inspection to unrestricted, problem

Hello Guys,
kindly help me i am having problems doing transfer posting (mb1b) using movement type 321. because in my stock overview (mmbe) thera are stocks in Quality Inspection, i want that to be trasfered in Unrestricted Stock. that's why i execute transfer posting but there is an error occured doing it so. the error is "change the inspection stock of material 1078 in QM only". how could i make this stocks transfer to unrestricted?
please advise me the correct way to settled this.

I am very thankful for all of you contributing to this thread of mine hope in some other time you can work it out with me again I already done all this resolutions you have mention and I also know that is all the right wya to solve this issue but i dont see my problem exists on the configuration in material tpye allocation because in our business sample the FERTin standard SAP but with us it is customized name, have different code it was not define in TLtype in material allocation for quality inspection (Q), now i know what to do to call our admin to authorized my config there.

Weird Problem in QM stock posting from Quality Stock to Unrestricted

Hi all,
Today I hit a weird problem in SAP and struck there for the past 5 hours. The problem is,
I have a batch managed material, for which QM view is available. 01 inspection type is activated along with the "Post to Inspection Stock indicator" for that material in material master.
Now I am creating a Purchase order and doing a goods receipt in MIGO. Then it creates a inspection lot of type 01
for this material and puts the stock in to Quality stock (I checked in MMBE).
Now as per standard SAP behaviour, if I want to move the stock from Quality to Unrestricted, I can only do it in QA11 trasaction through Inspection stock tab. If I try to do 321 (Quality to Unrestricted) movement in MIGO, the system will send an error message "Change the inspection stock of material XXXXXXX in QM only"
But in my case, I am not getting this error message, the system is still allowing me to move the stock from Quality to Unrestricted thorugh MIGO using 321 movement. This is not standard and I don't want this.
This behavior is seen in 04 and 08 inspection lots also (with post to insp stock indicator).
The aftermath of this problem, if I do a MIGO transfer posting of say 100 PC through 321. The system is correspondingly updating the MMBE transaction by moving this 100 PC from Quality stock to Unrestricted. But if I go to QA11 and check, the QM still shows that 100 PC to be in Quality stock itself, thus creating a mis-match between actual stock situation and the stock situation in QM.
I already checked and most of the SPRO nodes and I am left clueless. One more thing, Usage Decision is not yet done for the inspection lot and it is just REL status. Also thee are no developments or enhancements in QM module in my project. Only 1 enhancement relating to custom sample label and rest of all the functionality is standard.
Sorry for the long post. How to correct this? Please help me!

I don't know why this happenned. Look at the QM view of the material master and see if the "inspection setup" flag on the QM view is clicked on. That is usually greyed out and is set by having an inspection type activated. You can't manually set that once an inspection type is added. But that is the indicator I believe is used to determine if regular stock movements are allowed for QM stocks.
I would try to first clear all your inspection lots first.
Then delete all the inspection types from the material. And I mean actually go in and delete them.
Then use QA08 to reactivate the ones you need.
Then see if this solves the problem.

System shud restrict stock posting of 04 inspection lot

Dear ALL,
Pain Area - whenevr Process order get release 03 inporcess inspection lot generates and after Process order get confrimed
O4 inspection lot generates , Evry time we use to process 04 Inpsection lot and then stock posted from Quality to Unrestrcted and finally , urestricted stock goes to market . NOw 03 inpsection lot remains in Created status , system not restriced for 04 activity i.e stock posting . So I want to restrict stock posting of 04 inspection lot if 03 inpsection lot doesnt have UD status .

Do you want to put a hard error when UD is taken for O4 lots, if the corresponsding SF lot is not released? This will stop users releasing the 04 lots and personally I am not in favor of writing a piece of code in User exit at UD and stiop the release of a Finished Batch.
I have worked on similar requirement where users used to check manually the SF batch - UD prior to release a Finished Lot. to reduce the manual work and data transpose errors, we have used a calculated char. SF batch released? and assigned it in the finished product inspection paln.
We copied the standard FM - QEFC_FORMULA_CALC_EXAMPLE and written a logic to look the consumed SF batch is released or not .The Function Module is assigned to a Calculated Characteristic u2013 the user will then be able to Calculate the characteristic during Results Recording of a batch of Finished Product to determine the Release Status of the issued batch of Semi-Finished material, as opposed to having to look it up manually. We looked at the Q-score to decide a SF batch is released , rejected or UD not taken. The Function Module used the name of the Master Inspection Characteristic (MIC) and the Material Type of the Inspection Lot to determine the Inspection Lot Q-Score to return.
With this set up you will not issue a hard error at the time of UD for Finsihed batch at the same time users will know the SF batch status when the results were recorded for Finished batch.
If your requirement is a Hard error, simply go for the user exit suggested and write a logic to look for the Semi Finished Batch consumed.

Transfer of Stock from Quality Insp. to Unrestricted

I am doing complete inspection with UD for a particular inspection lot but my stock in Quality Inspection is not transfer to Unrestricted Used stock.I also tried Movt.Type 321 thereafter the stock can't moved.Pl.suggest me the usefull solutions.Helpfull solution will be awarded.

There is a tick mark in post to inspection stock indicator thereafter inspection lot tab in qa32 or qa11 is not activated.
Secondly, this is a stock item.
Thirdly, No PS module is implemented in my client
I think the user has posted the stock through MB1C with Movt.Type 503 into quality stock.At the time of this posting the 05 inspection type is not activated in QM view of Material Master thatswhy system does not created any inspection lot for this.
After some days,with out stock posting from inspection stock to unrestricted stock,he has activated 05 inspection stock for the first time.
Pl.suggest any possible solution .

Goods receipt from specific vendor always posted to Quality Inspection

Hi ,
For specific- vendor PO, during the GR, the stock type is automatically posting to "Quality Inspection", for all the materials.
Not allowing to change during the MIGO .
Want to know how this is set. and remove it. Because all the GR for PO -101 , should go to "Unrestricted Use" , only acc to current practice.

You can post the Stock to Inspection Stock always
1. Either mainatain this to MMR in Purchase View. It will post to inspection irrecpective of vender.
2. In Punchase PO in, Maintain Stock Type ...Inspection stock...here u can specify with vender also.
But not from Material master, stock is as inspection Post will always post to inspection not vender specific.

How to Clear Stock From Quality Inspection

Dear Sir,
We have following problem scenario :
In the Quality View the wrong type of Inspection Type was given and subsequently during MIGO as the "Quality Inspection" option was selected under Stock Type , so after MIGO stock got posted under Quality Inspection and no Inspection Lot was created .
Now we want to clear the Stock from QI to either Un-restricted or any other type , so that material can be cleared and brought to Un-restricted Stock ultimately .
We tried to use MB1b with movement type 321 , but it given error as "Change the inspection stock of material CJMC1A0477 in QM only" .
I request you to kindly guide me as how can the Stock be cleared from QI .

I'm also facing the same issue. In material master QM view : Q M Procurement activity deactivated and Inspection setup also deactivated. This is not a proper way to solve the issue anyway i have deactivated, but still i am facing same issue.

Purchase order GR need to post to Quality inspection stock

How to post stock to Quality inspection directly for a PO. Even though in GR i make sure that its posting in Quality inspection, by default it is going to Urestricted stock. How to fix this by posting stock to Quality inspection directly?

Pre-requesite:-
QM should be live at plant level.
Data toeb maintained in QM view.
You need to activate inspection type 01 (For GR against Purchase Order) and 04 (For GR from Production, against Process Order) in QM view of Material Master. Doing this all the GR quantity will be posted in Quality stock automatically.
If QM is not live, you need to activate the "Post to insp. Stock" inidicator in Materail master QM view.

Error Message ""Required function
MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT is not being processed".

The Idoc whcile Posting using Message type WMMBXY calls the Function module L_IDOC_INPUT_WMMBXY & in turn this calls the function module MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT.
This function is not getting executed.
Please check if the Movemnt type used is not active for WM movemnts.
If you have used previously this movemnt type & now it is not working. Please take hlep of ABAPer for debugging & finding the Root cause

Stock Type X Quality Inspection in Production Orders

Hello,
I have the material 123EDFXXX that the Production order has set the Stock Type =X (Quality Inspection)...
We don´t know how was that set!! since that material has not active the QM Views in the material master.
There is another master data (prod version, route) or something else that is coping that value??

1.Pl check if QM was active before the creation of order.If so you need to delete all Material and accounting documents
2. Check in the work scheduling view in material master if the inspection stock is active box is active.then this could be the reason.
