Stock question

Hi Gurus,
Is there are way of pointing the stock to the P&L rather than the Balance sheet account?
Client like the costs to hit the project at the time the goods are placed into Project Stock, rather than the time of Good Issue.

Hi,
In that case, you need to directly inward stock against a P & L GL account with cost object either IO or WBS element.

I need to create a question widget and would rather not reinvent the wheel.
Is there any way to access the Action Script for the hotspot or multiple choice questions that come standard in Captivate.
I think I only need slight modificationa to one of those do do what I want.

The AS scripts for the stock question types can be found here: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 4\ActionScript\MMQuizzingV3\MMQuizClasses (or the directory where you installed Captivate).
However the code is not in a "widget" form so you would still need to do quite a lot of work to get this into a widget.

DVD Stock question

Just curious as to what brands of DVD stock(single layer) seem to work best for everyone.
I've done small personal projects here and there and haven't had many issues with stock(usually just buying the cheap stuff), but I have a project which requires reliability because I won't be able to watch every single DVD like I have in the past.
Would like to hear the Pro's and Con's of particular brands.

I questionned a manufactue on this and they stated that you will run into less problems using disc's made in Japan than anywhere else, Im sure that the quality of the burner weighs in.
I ran into problems with Verbatems and now we use Maxell and have not had any major problems

Inventory...In Stock question

Is it possible to have it say "In Stock", instead of a number under inventory control?
For example I have a product that is made to order and I want it to say In Stock instead of putting how many I have already made.

It's not possible of the box, but I guess you could use javascript or CSS to change the number into "In Stock" text.
It'd be a simple if statement that checks if in stock == 0 and if not place the text "in stock" onto the layout. Otherwise place "out of stock" inside the layout.

Cellshock DDR2-800 2.22v stock question on P965 Platinum. New question !

I was around in here and saw someone talking about not take op the dram voltage.
The stock ram v on the P965 Platinum board is around 1.90v, right ? if i remember right.
So thats why i ask now. My new ram i bought called Cellshock. saw a test that they was overclocked to 1200Mhz
But apart from that. On the ram packet it said. 4-4-4-12 Cas4 2.21v to 2.2v
Then i chanced the BIOS from stock 1.90v to 2.2v ofcause.. But thats what i'm wondering about now.
Someone one here said. Dont change the Ram voltage ??? Shoulden i do it when my ram specs tells me ?

can be BIOS bug. suggest you to keep 4-4-4-12 to catch more mem. freq. if its possible

16mm Stock question

going to do a short (12-20min B&W) with a Bell and Howell Filmo (Camera70 Model D). I want it to look as close to a 30 film as possible. what stock should I look into and are there any good site to price out the cost of purchase and lab pressing?
with models without magazine atatchement (though Im looking into the 70-dh ( I beleive thats the model) so I can use a 400ft magazine) how many feet fits inside the camera?

Well-- if you look at the good 30's films, they're NOT grainy. They're dark and moody and exceptionally lit. It was the stuff like early Truffaut (400 blows) that had a lot of grain. Achieving that non-grainy look means working within the lattitudes of normal exposure for the emulsion. A push=mush, MOST of the time. With color stock, there's all sorts of cool stuff like bleach bypass, etc to warp the color around.
Black and white stock gives a sharper image than color, which when you get right down to it is blurry compared to B&W. If I remember correctly, the viewfinder dial dials in different aspect ratios on the viewfinder only, as a guide. The full frame is always shot. Those filmos and eyemos (35mm) were WWII combat cameras. So if you want to do your own Saving Private Ryan Reel 1, start with one of those, with the spring motor.
What part of the country are you in? There's a lab in NYC called DuArt, that is pretty friendly to independents. And if you bypass retail and talk to kodak direct, they'll often cut you some slack.

Transfer posting for sales order stock questions. Propose BOM components?

We are working with a third party subcontracting scenario (SD item category TAB/sched line CB), where a Subcontracting PO (item cat L/acc assign M) gets generated.
At MB1B, I perform a 412E movement to issue components to a sales order.
When I issue components to the sales order, I need to manually enter the component and quanity. I would like the system to propose the component quantity, similar to when I do a movement 541 to a subcontractor.
Is this possible? Any advice would be greatly appreciated !!!

Goto Transaction Code, VOV6--> Choose Sch.Line catagory, CB> Go in to detail--

Then create PO by refering this PR...
(Before that make sure that you have maintained the link bet. Acc.***.Catagory as "M" and Itemcatagory as "L" in OLME-->Accout Assignment--
> Define combination of Acc.***.Catagory and Item catagory
and also In OLME-->Purchase Requisition---->Define document types -
>you have to maintain the link for converting this PR into PO...)
If you have already maintained BOM, then in PO---> Material data tab---> the BOM will be automatically exploded.
Then you can issue these items to SC Vendor in Transaction code. ME2O

Relation between movement type and Schedule Line Item Cat

I have a situation for Return Sales Order, there's two lines items with
*Item Cat                      Schedule Line Item Cat         Stock
REN(Normal)                 YN (Returns 657)                 Blocked
RENN (Free Goods)      DN (Returns)                        Return Stock
Question is, the user would like all the return stock to be posted to Block stock which should be using movement type 657. How can I configure this.

SPRO/IMG/Sales and Distribution/Sales/Schedule Lines/Assign Schedule Line Categories
Don't change movement type of standard Item cat DN.

How do I uninstall firefox 4 and get back to firefox 3.6.13?

I installed firefox 4 to play applications in Face Book. It keeps crashing. I never had this problem with firefox 3.6.13. I can't get any help why firefox 4 keeps crashing in the middle of the games, this happens constantly. So now I want to uninstall firefox 4 and reinstall firefox 3.6.13 until I can figure out why firefox 4 keeps crashing all the time. When it crashes, it always says application did not leave a crash dump report or something to that affect. So, if someone could please tell me how to uninstall firefox 4 and reinstall firefox 3.6.13, I would be grateful. But I'd also like to get some answers as to why firefox 4 keeps crashing constantly. I've been at this for over a week now, and can't any answers. The stock questions and replies I read are no help what so ever.

The Box containing "This happened" I put Every time Firefox opened because the ones do not apply. But it doesn't happen everytime firefox opens, just when I'm playing in my games in Face Book, sometimes as soon as I load a game, sometimes in the of the game, and mostly when I visit neighbors.

Make sure you do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data" as that option will delete all of your bookmarks, passwords etc.
You can re-install Firefox 3.6.15 from http://www.mozilla.com though judging by your user agent string you still have 3.6.15 installed.

Can't impose my InDesign CS3 document

Hey gang,
I miss InBooklet.
I used to be able to impose to a new InDesign document. In CS3, I can't.
I now must use Print Booklet to make an imposed output. But that forces me to print to Adobe PDF; thus rasterizing the resulting PDF.
Is there an alternative plug-in?

It is really for the office user; not the commercial printer. They want to take the job to impose, print, fold, and finish ... themselves. Or else, they simply want to make a dummy copy to supply with the files to the commercial printer. Nowadays, you know, you can make color-accurate dummy copies. Your inkjet or Xerox can do faithful color equal to the inkjet proof the printing company is going to hand back to you.
Peter, you can parse it fine, if you want, but in CS3, I have fewer options than I had in CS2. Going forward, I want more, not less. And there is always the "odd" scenario out there, even if most of the time it doesn't make a difference.

Question on Stock requirement report

Hi,
Appreciate your response on the below question.
This issue is regarding the AFS Stock/requirement list.
When we run for for a material / plant combination and include a date in the 'Date to' field - stock that are in B status (MRP blocked) appears in the report.
But when we don't specify the date, the stock in B tab does not appear.
Can you please advise?

I don't have access to AFS system, but let me try and answer you.
AFS stock/requirements list is dynamic as it provides the latest situation for MRP elements including changes after planning date.
If the MRP was not yet started and new requirements are in the system, status 'B' is set for those requirements to which no stocks could be assigned in the current display in the AFS Stock/Requirement List.
So the 'date to' has a significance in evaluating when the MRP was run last and what changes have taken place since.

The Question about stock transfer between HU-Management and WM-Management

There is a scenario about stock transfer between HU-Management and WM-Management storage location. I use transaction MB1B , movement type 313 , 315. After Good issue from WM-management storage location, outbound delivery will genarated, then Pack, Create/Confirm TO, at last post goods issue for the outboud delivery. But when i do movement type 315, there is a warning message "Data of preceding document was not transmitted", and from the F1 help i find this system reponse "You can maintain an indicator that makes information about preceding documents in this delivery available under delivery type in Customizing. For some characteristics of this indicator, the type of preceding document and the related document and item numbers must be transmitted to delivery creation. At least one of these parameters is missing.".
So, My questions are:
1. Generallily, Outbound delivery is created by SO, inbound delivery is created referenc PO, but how the stock transfer for 2 steps generate the outbould delivery and inbound delivery? Could you pls tell me the where i can config this in the IMG?
2. What's "Data of preceding document was not transmitted" mean ? how to fix this issue ?

Sure, The inbound delivery type is set up in the IMG->Logistics General -> HU management -> Basics ->Delivery type -> Delivery type determination.
For Inbound delivery type 'HID' is maintained in this view.

Question regarding a method of stocking data

I know this thread already is in the "New to Java Technology" Forum, although I said the topic was closed there so I could open it back here.. I realized it would be more fitting here and it would probably get more replies...
I am working with a friend on a Client for Ultima Online and we have to stock data concerning the various objects and characters in the same sector as the Client. We have 3 ideas of what the best method could be, but we have no clue which method would be the most performant (concerning both speed and memory), or if there is a better method to do so.
Here's a description of the methods we thought about:
Method #1
Create many class files for each type of object, having the various related variables in their respective classes...
Exemple: A principal class called DataObject which holds the data common to all objects/characters. Classes which extends DataObject such as DataMobile (for the Characters) and DataItem (for the Items) in which the data specific to characters and items is stocked. And also various classes for the various types of objects such as Containers which will extend DataItem...
Method #2
Create a single class file which would hold an Array containing the various variables and of which the size would be the maximum amount of parameters possible. The array would work in relation with a byte which would hold the type of data stocked into the Array, this way we could know the structure of data and retrieve this data where it is in the Array...
M�thod #3 <= This one was the first idea and we know it is the worse one.. Telling you about it though
Create a single class file which would hold all the possible variables. These variables would only be used when necessary.
M�thod #4
Create a single class file which would extend java.util.Hashtable. The parameters would be stocked this way: The Key mapped to the value would be the type of parameter (represented by a Byte (not byte)) (type of parameter such as Serial, Name, Strenght, Dexterity, etc...). And the value would be stocked as a String, Integer, Short or Byte according to the case (once again, it isn't primitives, it is the classes from java.lang.*).

Stock locator question

hi folks,
we have a six-segment inventory stock locator defined in KFF. we have a need to use a combination of the first 4 in some of our inventory organizations, and all 6 in the rest. is it possible to achieve this?

As long as the KFF does not have the 6 segments as mandatory, you can certainly create locators with just 4 segments.
And even if it is mandatory, you can create the locators with segment5 and 6 with a default value (such as Z, 0 etc.)
