Stock Transfer and Demand APO

Hello Everybody good morning,
I've got a scenario which i would appreciate your support.
The company which i work for we've got a sort of Sales Rep mobil. The stock usually is transfer accordingly their sales need by a transfer stock method into SAP and located into their specific storage location. Usually, this stock is often sold or it will be sold within the month. However, into APO demand forecast, this considerable stock "sold" is not yet included as the material was not effective sold, invoiced....
What i would like to know is, if there's any possibility to include stock transfer into Demand figuers onto APO?
Ie: Sales Rep. X / storage location 001
Stock transfer from Central Warhouse of 1 pc.
This one pc, despite be stil located into this Sales rep mobil, basically its sold, and i would like to know the possibility which this 1 pc be considered "sold" into APO. Is that possible? How could i configurated that this would happen? I guess that this is linked into Material Master set for this specific storage location up, am i right?
Well i would appreciate if anybody could adviced me into that scenario.
Cheers
CC

Hi Caio,
In demand forecast, usually this stock consideration is not needed to be taken care into account as it will be net off during supply planning run (SNP).
In case you want to net the stock off at demand planning side, i.e. SNP is not considering this particular stock at all, then the stock data for specific storage location can be pulled into BW (or any other system you are using for transferring data between ECC and SCM). Extract the data to a KF in demand planning and while releasing the demand to SNP, use (Demand - sold stock) KF.

  • Different sales area for Inter company stock transfer and STO

    Hi People,
Is it possible to have two different sales area's for Inter company stock transfer and within the company stock transfer. The problem is in below step
IMG->MM->Purchase Order->Setup stock transport order->Define shipping data for plants.
In this step when you define plant as customer, the same plant as customer needs to be maintaind for both STO and Inter company and there is only one entry of sales area possible for this single plant. So, how can the task be achieved.
I want that STO should be carried out by sales area lets say X/Y/Z
Inter company should go through A/B/C.

    hi dear,
It is not possible at all to have two sales area for given Plant in STO.

  • Problem about sales order stock stock transfer and batch determination

Hi, experts, I get a problem about sales order stock stock transfer and batch determination. The following is the current situation of my system:
In OMCG I assigned search procedure ME0001 to both 311 and 311 E and ticked check batch. After that, I found  that if iI need to tranfer unrestricted-use material from storage location 1000 to 2000 with movement type 311, I just need to input * at the field batch, then the system will display all of the available batches. But for the transferring of sales order stock with movement type 311 E, after I input * at the batch field, no batch is displayed and there is also no message from the system.
Can anybody help me? Is there anything else I need to do? Thanks very much.

I think my question is not clear, actually I tried 562 E , 411 E and 413 already. all the transaction looking for the sales order but unfortunatly the sales order is deleted  from SAP.

  • Very imp stock transfer and stock transport order

    hi folks,
please explain me in detail the difference between stock transfer and  stock transport order.
    regards,meena

    Hi:
Stock Transfer is the physical movement of material from one location to another location, stock transport order is one way of doing the stok transfer.
Stock can be transfer between plant to plant, company code to company code, storage location to storage location.
However there are different procedures for stock transfers:
1.Stock Transfer using one step procedure: Here Goods issue and Goods receipts happens in single step.
2.Stock Transfer using Two stage procedure:The two-step procedure allows you to monitor the stocks in transit. After the goods issue is posted at the issuing point, the stock appears "in stock transfer" at the receiving point and is managed as such in the system.
    3.Stock Transport Order:
This is transfer of material from one plant to other plant or co.code to co.code via SD route.
Here a.receiving plant raise the stock transport order on issuing plant.
           b. Issiuing plant creates the outbounmd delivery against STO and PGI.IF it is in India, then excise
               invoice creation.
           c. Receiving plant post the goods receipt against outbound delivery and post the excise ivoice.
           d. Invoice verification.
The main advantage of Stock Transport order is you have a more control because you can have  purchasing document behind itand you can check the PO history which would gives all the details for Delivery as well GR documents.
However ftor STO via SD you need to configure the set up stock transport order in MM>Purchasing>Purchase Order-->Set Up Stock Transoport order.
Also on a data maintanace side you need to maintain the custmor and vendor relations.
    Hope this would helps you.
    Cheers

  • Stock transfer and post changing

    Dear WM consultants,
What is the diff between Stock transfer and post change or post change notice in WM view?
can u explain with an example?

    Hi,
The main difference between stock transfer and transfer posting is that, transfer postings need not involve an actual (physical) goods movements. In the case of stock transfers, on the other hand, there is always a physical movements of goods.
In the below link, you can find all the informations about transferpostings and stock transfers:

  • Difference between Stock transfer and transfer posting

I am little confused about the difference between stock transfer and transfer posting. Please clarify
<<Locked - reason: failed to search before posting question>>
Edited by: Csaba Szommer on Feb 9, 2011 9:10 AM

    Hello,
Transfer posting may involve or not involve the physical goods transfer.  In the system you might do transfer posting from quality to unrestricted, or from one store location to another.
In transfer posting you remove and or replace materials from storage in one storage location and place them in another storage location.
That transction code you use for transfer posting MB1B with following movement types may be used
    301, 303,305,311,411,309.
301 is Stock Transfer Between Plants in One Step
303 & 305 : Stock Transfer Between Plants in Two Steps
In stock transfer, it always involves physical movement of goods, like transfer between plants under same company code or different company codes.
Following types are possible with STO's
    Stock Transport Order Without Delivery
Stock Transport Order with Delivery via Shipping
Stock Transport Order with Delivery and Billing Document/Invoice

2 Assign this vendor to Delivering plant
    Go to XK02 >Purchasing view>Extras>Add. Purchasing data>Plant
    3. Create internal customer with the sales area of the vendor. Go To XD01
4.In Pricing procedure determination relevant to STO, assign document Pricing Procedure and customer pricing procedure appropriate for STO to get the pricing in the invoice.
5.Maintain condition records for the relevant pricing condition.
    6. Some more setting for STO: Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO> define shipping data for plants > Go to Receiving plant >assign customer here & Supplying SA (for billing) to Receiving plant here
    7. Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO> define shipping data for plants > Go to Supplying plant and assign the sales area of receiving plant.
    8. Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO> assign delivery Type & Checking rule
Assign the delivery type to document type. In this case, Delivery type NLCC is assigned to Document type NB
    9. Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO>Assign document Type, One step Procedure, Under delivery tolerance
Assign the document type NB to supplying plant and receiving plant
    10. After all settings , Create the STO using T-Code:ME21n and Save.
    11. Create Delivery :VL10G
Click on the Background Button after selecting line item
A message is flashed : See log for information> next Click on Log for delivery creation Button >click on line item>click on document button to get Delivery document No

    Hi
Follow the below steps to to make STO between two plants ( different company codes). It is also called as Inter Company STO.....
1)Create one Customer Master in XD01 with respect to Supplying Plant Sales Area and assign this Customer no with Receiving Plant in OLME->PO-> set up STO->Define shipping data for plant and for the supplying Plant assign the above sales area.( Make sure,In Customer Master, sales Area Tab: you are
    2) For Receiving Plant Pur. Org and Co.Code Combination create Vendor master in XK01 and in this vendor master assign the Supplying plant in Pur.Org.Data screen->Extras--> Add.Pur.data
    3) OLME->PO-> Set up STO------>For your supplying plant assign document type NB, Delivery type NLCC and Checking Rule RP
4)then For your supplying Plant and receiving Plant assign Document type NB
5)Make sure you are maintaining Sales View for the material at supplying Plant and in Sales /Gen plant Data view maintain Availability check, Loading group and Transportation group.
    6) In SPRo-->Logistics execution> Shipping->Basic shipping functions->Shipping point Determination>assign shipping points-> For your Loading group,Shipping Condition and Supplying plant combination,Assign shipping point
these are the configuration settings you have to do in background.
Then Create STO from Receing Plant in ME21N with document type NB.
Based on that STO, Create Delivery in VL10B from supplying Plant
Do PGI in VL02N from Supplying plant
Do GR in MIGO at Receiving Plant keeping Outbound delivery as a ref. document.
Now your STO bet. two plants belongs to diff. Co.Codes will be completed.
2)Follow the below steps to to make STO between two plants belongs to same company codes). It is also called as Intera- Company STO.....**
1)Create one Customer for Supplying Plant Sales area and assign this Customer no with Receiving Plant in OLME---> PO -
    > Set up STO -
    > define Shipping Data for plants. and maintain the same sales area in your Supplying plant.
    2) In OLME---> PO -
    > Set up STO.....for your Document Type: UB and Suppying plant Combination assign Del. Type NL and Checking rule RP
    3) In OLME---> PO -
    > Set up STO...for your Supplying Plant and Receiving Plant combination Maintain Doc. Type : UB
Make sure you are maintaining Sales View for your Material at Supplying Plant.
    4) Maintain Shipping point at, SPRO----> Logistics Execution -
    > Shipping -
    > Basic Shipping Functions -
    > Shipping Point Determination for Plants.....there for your Loading group,Shipping Condition, Shipping Plant combination maintain Shipping plant..
Now Create STO in ME21N with Doc.type: UB at Receiving Plant.

  • Serialnumbers, stock transfer and outbound delivery.

    Hello gurus
I am trying to figure out how to best handle material with serialnumbers, and stock transfers between storagelocations.
The first problem is that when we have confirmed the serialnumber and packed the goods and recived a HU for this the outbound delivery is created. Then at the reciving sloc we do GR against this HU, but when we are asked to confirm the serialnumber we can put in any serialnumber we want (as long as it exists in the system and have the correct batch) the serialnumber we put in the outbound delivery seems not to be checked!  At least we want a warning that this serialnumber is not the same as the one we packed on this HU, is this possible ?
The second question is that we want to confirm the Serialnumber much earlier in the process than SAP seems to do in GI process, if we forget it we dont get a error message until we try to post GI on the delivery. That is to late, we at least want it before packing. Do you gurus have any ideas here. Is there any badis or userexits regarding serialnumber and WM and IM around?
    regards
    Ivar

We solved the probles with developing our owm solution for serialnr in WM. There we update the delivery when confirming TO. And then we have skipped HU.

  • Intercompany and Intracompany (plant to plant) Stock Transfer scenarios

    Hello!
I have an issue regarding Intercompany and Intracompany (plant to plant) Stock Transfer scenarios.
    We are implementing Brasil.
Brasil has 11 different plants and all of them can transfer stock to each other, so the Intracompany stock transfer scenario has to be done for this country.
Brasil also sends products to other countries (also with SAP implemented) from one of the 11 plants, so the Itercompany stock transfer scenario also has to be customized for Brasil and for at least one of the plants in Brasil.
We have a distribution channel for Replacement market (L1), and another distribution channel for Export market (L7).
In the scenario described above we have one plant being used for both scenarios, for Intracompany Stock Transfer and for Intercompany Stock Transfer, by two different distribution channels (Replacement market (L1), and another distribution channel for Export market.
In the customizing we have a unique plant, but we have two different sales areas to be assigned to it, in order to be able to execute those processes.
    My question is:
If the customizing to be done for the both scenarios is the same, my request is to have both scenarios for the same plant, and I have two different Sales Area for each scenario, is there a way to make both scenarios work together for the same plant and different sales area?
    Best Regards
    Cristina

Please dont post the same question in multiple forums.  Continue in one thread

  • Stock Transfer Object and Journals

Hi guys, please someone confirm this for me...
If i use the stock transfers object to do a stock transfer, business one ought to take care of the journals for me, right?
It seems that i am passing stock transfers from one warehouse to another but then the object is not affecting journals as it should. Please someone explain what could be the reason.
    Thanks.

    Hi Wilfred,
I just tested a stock transfer and it creates a journal entry for me. Are you sure it's not posting on your side? Maybe it's not the last journal entry as it is posting to another document series with a lower number. Confirm by running a query. Also you can click on the orange arrow at the bottom next to journal remark to link back to the journal.
    Hope it helps,

  • Production in Aternative Plant with stock transfer

    Hello,
For our MTO process we have prototyped several scenarios for production of configurable materials over more plants, all based on special procurement keys.
Scenario 1: procured from other plant with stock transfer (41)
Scenario 2: production in alternative plant (80)
With respect to the configuration process and ATP, scenario 2 has our preference. There is one discrepancy, since the plants are far away from each other we need a stock transfer (and paperwork for transportation) between the 2 plants.
However a feature of production in an alternative plant is that the GR of the semi-finished good is directly in the planning plant.
Of course we can do a transfer order w/o reference for the semi-finished good from plant A to plant B but nothing is triggering this process and for us no option.
Any idea how to get such process nicely streamlined? Is there a usable workaround?
    Thanks, Hans
(note: If no clues, I intend to bring it in as a request for  SAP customer influence)

    Thanks Vaibhav,
All required CTP settings maintained and ther is PDS in alternative production plant too. The reason being when I remove special proc key APO CTP created planned order for the deficit qty.
Did you mean to say Original plant means planning plant? but there proc type has to be E with special proc as "80" .SPRO setting is maintained.(maintained Location Determnation settings as you mentioned) I have already tried "X"
    but  did not work..

  • Automation in Stock Transfer

    Dear All,
Suppose there is one material which is a by-product. On its production (101) entry will be like this.
    Material Name:- Pig Iron
    1
Production Scrap Inventory (Pig Iron)  Debit    - Stock Account
Inventory Change     Cr - P&L Account
Now the same will be  converted in to RM category with new material i.e. Pig Iron One
At that time entry will be
    2
Raw Material Inventory (Pig Iron One) Debit - Stock Account
Production Scrap (Pig Iron) Cr. - Stock Account
Now my question is what about my inventory change amount as it should also be knocked-off to have its P&L impact as in abov entry, there is a stock to stock transfer and not change in P&L.
So I want a trigger entry like below.
    3
Inventory change (New Code)                Dr.  (Pig Iron) - P&L Account
RM Consumption for Re Processing Pig Iron Cr. (Pig Iron One) - P&L Account
After this invemtory it will be very clear to guage my P&L impact and also the same can be further used for consumption.
So how to get this trigger entry (No.3) automatically as entries 1 & 2 is as per normal practice.
    Regards,

what you describe is not by-product but scrap-postings. You could save your material transfers and the postings if you in fact used the raw material pig iron one as by-product. You could have a planned qunatity of by-products but then always decide at confirmation time what the actual quantity of by-product was.
    best regards,

  • Closing a Stock Transfer draft (using Delphi 7)

Hi, I have this code to close a Stock Transfer draft (ie. using 'Cancel' method):
with GetBusinessObject(param_type) as IDocuments do begin
                 ok := GetByKey(StrToInt64(param_key));
                 if ok then result := Cancel();
            end;
Somehow that code gives me an error. By using GetLastErrorDescription(), the error message is:
"[Microsoft][SQL Native Client][SQL Server]Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'DocEntry', table 'SAP_TEST.dbo.DRF6'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails."
FYI I used this code to close other document drafts (Sales Order Draft, Return Order Draft), and they are all OK, so looks like something is a bit different with Stock Transfer draft.
Anybody has any idea what's wrong, and how to fix/handle it?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Stock Transfer and some other inventory transaction tables share the same structure with other marketing document tables. However, because the general design of the table structure is focus on marketing document part, Stock Transfer transaction will have certain limitations. You need to try more methods to close it.
    Thanks,
    Gordon
