Stock Transfer : Possible Ways

Hi All ,
I was looking for the possible ways to transfer stocks between plants .....I could find out following ways
1) One step (w/o STPO w/o Delivery w/o Billing/invoice)
Using Mvt Type 301.Material is received automatically with MVT type 301.
2) One step using STPO with Delivery ( w/o Billing)
Material is issued using Mvt type 647 and Material is received using Mvt type 101 automatically
3) One Step using STPO without Delivery without billing
NO IDEA ... HOW CAN WE DO IT
4) Two step (w/o STPO w/o Delivery w/o Billing/invoice)
Using 303 to issue and 305 to receive
5) Two step with STPO w/o delivery w/o billing
Using 351 to issue and 101 to receive
6) Two Step with STPO with Delivery w/o Billing
Using 641 to issue and 101 to receive
Apart from this there are two more movement types
643 (Two step) and 647 (One step) for Cross company.
I would request you people to pls validate my understanding and also let me know how to make ONE STEP TRANSFER USING STPO but w/o delivery ??
Also can I use 301, 305 , 641 and 647 mvt types for CROSS COMPANY transactions ??
Awaiting for your reply ...

Hi
how to make ONE STEP TRANSFER USING STPO but w/o delivery ??
You cannot make One Step Transfer using STPO with out Delivery....But you can make One Step Transfer without STPO using M.Type: 301....
o can I use 301, 305 , 641 and 647 mvt types for CROSS COMPANY transactions ??
For Cross Company Transactions....you can use Following M.Types: 301,303,305,643 and 645...
) One step using STPO with Delivery ( w/o Billing)
Material is issued using Mvt type 647 and Material is received using Mvt type 101 automatically...
For One Step STPO with Delivery(w/o Billing)....you have to Issue the Material in 641 M.Type and receive it in 101 M.Type...
Reward if useful

  • Best Way to Create a Goods Movement for Goods Receipt & a Stock Transfer?

This is for an acquisition, so I do not think BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE will work because we do not have a doc ref no. We also need to create a Stock Transfer movement.
Or we call BDC MIGO and BDC M1B1? There must be a better way. We are on 46C.
I am open to any and all suggestions....Thank-You.

    Hello Tom,
Best way is to use the SAP standard BAPI "BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE". So that for the long run SAP will support the functionality. If you go with BDC then we don't know what enhancement is going to come in the future??

    Thanks in advance

Thanks for the input . I have one more quick question
At my client  PO condition Type  is  ZSTO and Billing Condition type is ZV01 , both value are maintained in table.
One process they want to check where ZSTO is not equal to ZV01 as per example below.
    1 .P O Price  based on ZSTO = 450
    2. Good Issue (based on material standard   xyz)
    3. Billing document  based on ZV01 = 350
    4.  Invoice receipt ?
    5.  Good receipt ?
Can you please let me know what would be the IR Price and GR price and if the IR and GR value is 350 will it effect 3 way match .

  • Problem on creation of Outbond Delivery for Stock Transfer Order

    Hi all,
We have problem on the creation of Outbond delivery for stock transfer order because the system doesn't group in a unique delivery for different items of a STO order.
We used VL10B or VL10D but the behaviour is the same. Even if we have to handle few items of the Stock Transfer order already scheduled, the scope is to create a delivery which group everything while the system split in several delivery notes.
Could you advice me the way to set in customizing , master data I don't know where else , the rules in order to avoid to split deliveries for STO.
Secondly if we have already created a delivery note is it possible to add a further purchase order item as in sales order processing?
Thank you for any suggestion you will give
    Andrea

    Dear Kripa,
the first point has been solved. We have checked a SAP Note 386340 which is appropriate to this case.
The second point, the one referred to the additional items to an existing delivery note, is not yet closed and I would like to know further advices  from you and the other guys connected to the forum in order to help us to solve the problem.
    Thanks for your help

  • Intra company stock transfer without delivery

    Hi,
Can anyone give me the configuration steps for the intra company stock transport order by using UB type (Between two plants with in same company code) with out delivery.

    Hi,
While I am doing Stock transport order I am getting the following error:
"Not possible to determine shipping data for material 4500012"
I have maintained the material 4500012 in both the plants.
I am not quite sure to what you are trying to say but the cross company Stock Transport Orders can be done by:
    - Configure using transaction OMGN.
    - Depending upon the sending and receiving plants, maintain sales organization and customer data in customizing.
    - Maintain the supplying plant as a vendor and attach the plant to the vendor in the Vendor Master.
    - Material type has to be HALB or HAWA.
    - Ensure that the company with sales Organization has a plant to take care of stocking.
    - The PO used is NB and not Stock Transfer PO.
Configure SD for inter-company billing to enable picking up the pricing procedure for billing.
    - Carry Out delivery through process delivery due list and billing through process billing due list.
Otherwise, You need to configure your Stock Transport Order settings for your Cross-Company:
    Business Transaction to work.
    1. Customer No. for the Goods Receiving Plant - OMGN
    2. Availability Check- Checking Rule (if necessary) - OMGN
    3. Assign a Delivery Type for the Delivering Plant - OMGN (for Stock Transport Orders, NLCC)
    4. PO type (which i belive you have done) - OMGN
    5. Assign Vendor No. to the Supplying Plant (done) - VK02
    6. Assign Customer No. to the Purchasing Plant for the Inter-Compnay Invoice (but you need to assign this to the Sales Organization pre-assigned to the Purchasing Plant),
IMG-SD-Billing-InterCompany Billing-Define Internal Customer No. by Sales Org
***and by the way for the Invoice to work between Cross-Compnay Plants, you need also to have a Sales Org for the Supplying Plant and a Pricing Determination Procedure.

  • Issues on cross-company stock transfer triggered by sales order

    Hi, friends:
As our business process required, we need to make the cross-company sale between to plants under two company codes.
The business process required is different from standard inter-company billing in SAP SD module. Our business process is as follows:
sales order --> PR --> PO --> cross-company stock transfer --> delivery to customer --> billing.
However, there is a difficulty in this process of make-to-stock production method. When we use schedule line item in SO to trigger the PO, there is a must to assign "account assignment category" in PO. This indicator is unchangable in PO by manual. When post goods recepit against the PO, there is no stock quantity udpate in un-restricted stock. By the way,  I selected "C" in the "account assignment category" of schedule line item cofiguration.
Checked the MM documents, I found it seemed like only two results of PGR against PO with account assignment category. One result of PGR is directly consumpted by receiptent or unloading point. The other result of PGR is updating sepecial stock. For example, I've fullfilled the process for make-to-order production method, the stocks are specified for sales order.
In our requiremnt, we have to post to normal un-restricted stock for the following ATP in sales order.
Could any friend give some suggestion on this issue?
      Thanks!
    Justin

    Hi, Venkadesh:
I've checked the Purchasing view and quantity/value update in both plants of different company codes. That's correctly configured.
In the business process, the quantity in normal un-restricted stock updating still doesn't work.
Do you mean that as follows: if select any indicator in  "account assignment category", we have to use UNBW or NLAG material type in the purchase order?
I have successfully fullfilled the process in make-to-order sales order, with material type FERT and account assignment category "E". The account assignmnet categroy is obligatory in sales order schedlue line item configuration, which is to trigger PO by SO. The configuration path is as below:
      IMG>Sales and Distribution>Sales>Sales Documents>Schedule Lines-->Define Schedule Line Categories
If possible, would make a test in your system to check how to fullfill the process with make-to-stock sales order, FERT material?
      Thanks!

  • DRQ:Stock Transfer window column sorting

Customer have a central warehouse (5500 items in B1) where to items are ordered. Customer employees pick and pack the items to the company retail stores around Finland from this central warehouse. The retail stores are warehouses (6) in the SAP Business One. Customer is using a stock transfer for "internal" pick and pack actions according each retails store internal orders. Customer central warehouse employees enter several "internal pick and pack" transactions in the one stock transfer before adding it in B1. There could be 90 items in one stock transfer. After this they start picking items from the central warehouse to the retails store warehouses. Items are not ordered in stock transfer window according the itemnumbers because the internal orders are not send to the central warehouse according items numbers. However the items are ordered in central warehouse according itemnumbers. This is slowing the pick and pack actions dramatically.
Therefore it should be possible to sort items in the stock transfer window as in the sales and purchase documents.

Could I ask why you chose to import opening balances this way?  I would say using DTW templates would be very convenient unless you have a compelling reason to use a FMS.
The DTW template (oStockTaking > StockTaking.xlt ) should be used.

  • KANBAN Stock Transfer Question.

    Hi All,
I am using kanban stock transfer stratergy(Mvmt type -311) to transfer my stock from one Sloc to another Sloc. I have given one fixed quantity and everytime that quantity is tranferred between sloc's. Now, My question is can give a tolerance limit to that kanban Quantity.
For example, If my kanban quantity is 500 Pc's can I provide a tolerance limit of 10% so that I can transfer the stock anywhere between 450 and 550. Please let me know if this functionality is possible.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sushil

    Hi,
As per standard SAP Practice , there is no provision of adding tolerance to Kanban Qty but you can replenish 450 /550 by manually editing the Kanban quantity in Kanban Correction. You can do Kanban correction in PK31n or directly by right click & selecting Kanban correction in Kanban Board screen.
Other way is you can use Event driven Kanban for one time replenishment of 450/550 so that you need not disturb the main Control cycle of Classical Kanban.
Even as per my knowledge, there is no BADI for Kanban which can help your requirement. So pls try above.
    Hope this helps.
    Revert if still any doubt.

  • Intracompany sales/stock transfer management processes with WBS and New G/L

    Hi all,
we have a scenario in which we need to transfer project stock between two projects. Both belong to the same Company Code. The transfer must be conduct as if it was a sale.
Basically the scenario is the following:
    1) Material A is in stock of Plant P1 under Project WBS1 (linked to Functional Area FA1).
    2) Plant 2 needs to "purchase" that stock and put it under WBS2 (linked to Functional Area FA2).
We have new G/L with the Functional Area set as a balancing dimension so any transfer between the two Plants should generate a billing document to balance the two Functional Areas. The stock should be moved between the two Plants/Projects.
How would you manage this scenario in SAP?
I've read all the documentation related to Intercompany Business Processes in SD Billing and everything related to Transfer Prices with New GL however I've found no information on this particular scenario.
In particular, the STO cannot be used since it allows only to move the stock between two Plants without having the WBS dimension on the receiving plant (i.e. I can move stock from Plant P1/WBS1 to Plant P2/WBS1 - which is not what I need since I need it on WBS2). Besides, but I'm not sure, the automated billing seems to be possible only in case the transfer is between Plants belonging to different company codes (I still need a FI document for balancing the Functional Areas).
The transfer price scenario, which is the one recommended by SAP for Intracompany sales, is not applicable as well since we don't have Profit Centers and, as far as I've understood, it doesn't seem to allow stock transfer between different WBS as well.
The only scenario I thought so far is to use a Purchase Order/Sales Order scenario:
The PO would allow WBS2 to receive in Plant P2/WBS2 the stock purchased against internal vendor Plant P1.
The SO would allow WBS1 to sell the stock (i.e. issue it from Plant P1/WBS1 to internal customer Plant P2).
The billing would be done against the SO and the incoming invoice would be posted against the PO (hence recognizing internal revenues and internal expenses).
This process, however, requires a lot of reconciliation activities and is error prone as there is no cross-check between SO and PO data.
Do you have any hints or suggestions to manage this differently?
Thank you in advance for your help.
    Ciao!
    Max

    Hi seesen_rs,
    thank you for your answer.
We also thought of that but the issue is that the 301Q moves stock immediately while we need to monitor the order and the shipment of the material (the 301Q is posted when the goods arrive at P2/WBS2). Besides, we also need to consume budget upon order so the PO/STO would help us for the first part of the process (i.e. when the goods are requested from P2/WBS2), then we should do the 301Q and then the billing. In order to keep the whole document chain linked we should also make us of custom fields. An alternative would be to use direct Goods Issue and Goods Receipt however they would have no references for budget and material requirement tracking purposes, hence not very helpful.
Also SAP said there is no easy way for managing this
    Ciao!

  • Third-party item in stock transfer order

    We have the following situation:
The company A receives a sales order from a external customer. The
company A buys the goods to the company B (the company B is an
intercompany vendor). The company B has to send the goods to the
external customer directly. Company A invoices to the external customer
and company B invoices to company A.
It's a triangular deal, but when we try to create a purchase order with
a third-party item for an intercompany vendor, the system show the
following message: "Third-party not defined in the case of vendor with
    plant assignment.
    Are there other solutions ?

A third party sales order creates a purchase requisition to be procured from an external vendor.
Procurement from an internal vendor (has plant assignment) can only be done with item category U.
The field item category in the purchase requistion is S in case of 3rd party business.
The field item category in the purchase requistion is U in case of stock transfer business.
It is techically not possible that this field has both S and U at the same time.
Further a U requisition does not make sense for 3rd party, as the nature of the stock transfer is to move goods between 2 locations, but in 3rd party business you ask a vendor to send goods to a customer directly.  this means you never receive this goods in the other plant, hence you would never release the stock from  transit stock.
An alternative could be to create an extra vendor master for you plant B, that is not linked to a plant, and should only be used for this 3rd party business. Discuss this with your finance guys, usually they dont want this.
Alternative you create a standard order at plant A and create a STO to get the material virtually from plant B to plant A. this adds work, and does not really reflect the real chain. Often a source for errors.
Alternative you directly create the order as standard order in plant B. Often the sales guys dont want it this way. they still thinking in silos. With SAP there is certainly some change and difference to the old fashioned thinking

  • How to configure to run SNP that creates only PReq and Stock Transfer only?

    Hi all,
I am very new to SCM.
Please help me on the scenario like this:
    -There are 3 Distribution Centers (DC): 2400, 2500, 3800 and a Vendor: 1003.
-Each DC can take products from otherDC. But only DC 2400 can directly send purchase requisition to Vendor  1003 when no stock at all DCs.
-There is a Forecast released from Demand Planning to SNP, that is 1000 products at Distribution Center 2400.
-I will run SNP Heuristic (or Capabable to Match or Optimization) to cover this demand.
-Usually, SNP can create: Purchase Requisition, Stock transfer Requistion, and Planned Order.
But I only want the SNP to create Purchase Requisition and Stock Stransfer only.
    The question are:
1.In which situations (tock situation,u2026) the system can create Requisition and Stock Stransfer only ?
2.I need create a new Supply Chain  Model (Model) and a new Planning Version from scratch. How can I configure the system (Transportation lanes, Product Master Data, Procurement type in product masteru2026) and make it run to satisfy this scenario?
3.Do I need setting differently for each SNP method ( Heuristic, Capable to Match, Optimization)?
Thanks very much for your support.
    XuanDuyen

    Dear Mr. Aparna,
    Thanks for your quick reply.
Now I haved created a model like the scenario with product T-F204 and can run. ( I do not use vendor 1003. I created the Plant 1000 instead). But as you said, when I run with SNP Heuristic method (Network level), the system alert:
u201C Error exist in Locationsu2019 processing sequence for product T-F204u201D
However, I search internet and found a book about CTM. It also discuss about this and the solution as below:
    u201CRecursive Replenishment
When using complex supply chains, with many locations and various directional
supply routes, it can be easy to confuse a level-by-level planning tool. In certain
situations, recursive planning can occur. Recursiveness, is when the planning
algorithm is thrown into a loop (circular replenishment). Location 1000 can ship
to location 2400, and location 2400 can ship to location 1000. Situations such as
this can cause the CTM engine to terminate since it cannot find a starting point.
 The solution: Reduce to number of muximum consecutive transport order chains.
Within the CTMProfile, Settingsu2192Master Data Settings tab, planners can control
the sources of supply for External Procurement. With the parameter Maximum
Number of Consecutive Stock Transfers, you determine how many consecutive
stock transfers CTM planning can create. This value does not restrict the total
number of stock transfers for a demand. If you enter a value here, you can prevent
the system from transporting the receipts for a demand over several locations due
to the procurement priority. Also, you must have modeled the master data in such
a way that a direct stock transfer is possible if the system ignores the procurement
priority. If a direct stock transfer is not possible, CTM cannot fulfill the demand.u201D
Currently, our system runs only with Heuristic. It could not run CTM and Optimization so I could not check.
    My questions are:
    1.     Is the solution of the book can apply for my bi-direction transportation lanes requirement?
    2.     If it is true, with my scenario, what is the best u201CMaximum Number of Consecutive Stock Transfersu201D I can set?
    3.     How can I model u201Cthe master data in such a way that a direct stock transfer is possible if the system ignores the procurement priorityu201D?
Please follow the link to download the book (and view page 107 of book (page 117 of Acrobat Reader) as bellow if you want:

  • Stock transfer between storage location in IS -Retail

    Hi,
I want to have a Stock transfer order between two storage locations in the plant.
I have activated the "Activate Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations", now i can create a STO and have the "Issuing SLoc" tab.
Having that i get an error message "Not possible to determine shipping data for material XXX" Message no. 06280.
I am trying to have the shipping data in customizing for set stock transfer  - "Define Shipping Data for Plants", but my site is not listed due to the use of IS Retail. Is there a way to configure it?
    Tnx
    Lior

    Hello Lior,
in Retail your distribution center is a vendor and a customer, and your store is a customer. Therefore when you create master data for your distribution centre and store, you also create the vendor and customer masters that are required.
By this link of the DC / Store to the customer master the shipping data is derived. I hope this answers your question.
If you have further queries related to this, please do post them.

  • Stock Transfer Between two plants within same company code

    Hello,
We are using scenario-'Stock transfer between two plants within same company code. Scenaro is like Plant A is receving plant and Plant B is delivering Plant.
Plant A release PO for 100 nos to Plant B
Plant B issues 100 nos (via delivery) to Plant A
But Plant A receives only 50 nos physically so they do Goods receipt for 50 nos , but document got generated for 100 nos (when plant B issues material).
Now Plant A do not want to receive remaining 50 nos physically, but wants to reduce material document which got created when goods issue posted by plant B
Now stock in transis (mb5t) is 50 nos.
How to reduce this material document. or any another alternative solution for this?
    Thanks,
    Shailesh

    Hi There
Reversal of partial is not possible ,
But you can use the Mov Type 557 and 558 to do the adjustments in Stock in transit qty
Few more details on STO adjustments
    Hi There
it can be settle in many ways,,,
    1. Receive the goods as 100 and Scrap the 50 nos from the received plant,,- If the receiving plant is responsible
2.Revert the PGI/Transfer movement(Vl09) and send the 50 nos again from the supplying plant- of the Supplying plant is responsible,
3.Also we have the movement type 557 and 558 without doing the above two steps you can correct the qty from stock in transit itself,,
    4. also you can check the below similar thread
STO - material lost during tranfer from plant A to plant B
    5. If above are not ok, then receive the goods as 100, And raise the STO as your plant as supplying plant and receiving plant is (Supplied 50 nos less) plant,, Do the process without sending the material.. in this way that 50 nos can be adjusted,,
    6.Here is some more details
557 Issue from stock in transit (adjustment posting)
Only use this movement type (also the reversal movement type) under the following circumstances:
Using movement type 557, you can correct purchase-order-independent stock in transit if
    - a good receipt cannot be posted to a purchase order without stock in transit, even though there is still stock in transit according to the purchase order history
    - stock in transit still exists, even though there are no open stock transfer orders for the particular material
This movement type may ONLY be used in the cases mentioned above after careful analysis, to correct stock in transit that has rounding errors.
This movement type may not be copied.
    Note!
Before using this movement type, note the following:
    - 392205 Analysis stock in transit / Correction if split valuation
    Possible special stock indicators:
    E, Q
    7. As previous post says if you have the note for this issue you can use that also
You can use any one of the way to solve the issue, Hope it helps
    Cheers

    Hola.
Voy a contestar tu pregunta en espanol. Debes crear al centro  emisor  como  deudor  en la transaccion WB02  y ampliar a la organizacion  de compra.
Posterior, debes crear al centro  receptor como  acreedor en la transaccion  wb02.
