Stock transfer using movtyp 541 an 542

Hi,
Stock is to be  transfered  from one storage  to vendor using movtype 541 and 542. After using  541 stock is kept in transit using 541  and normally the system should
generate automatically a Movement Type 542 to move the
stock to vendor. .. But transfer of stock using 542 failed and stock is presenrly in transit.
So please tell me how to transfer this stock in transit to the vendor .
PLease help
Points will be rewarded
Thanks
Rohit

Hi Rohit,
You are talking about Subcontractiong process,
In Subcontracting first you create a Sub contracting PO with item L, then you do transfer Posting of your stock to vendor using 541Mvt for this PO, and once this subcontracting material is recieved through Mvt Type 101 there is an automatic consumption Mvt type 543 which will happen indicating the consumption of the subcontracting material.
there is no concept of stock in transit in Subcontracting.
542 Mvt is used as a reversal of 541 which will bring back the stock from vendor to your own stock.

Vijay

  • 2 Step Stock Transfer Using WM Transport Order??

    Dear SAP expertes,
I have a problem, I think a lot of you too; that is stock transfer in 2 steps from one storage location to another (mov. types 313-315), but using o referencing a reservation.
SAP says that is not possible create reservations for 2 step stock transfer in MM, but also says use "Stock Transfer Orders" instead, that means use module WM.
Do anyone could transfer stock from one storage location to another using WM Stock Transfer Orders? I tried, but couldn't make it. In anyone have documention to do this I will appreciate it a lot.
    Best regards,
    Favio.

    Hi Jürgen L.
I was checking SAP Note  "28692 - MMIM: Reservation for a two-step stock transfer", and you were right, they say "Use the stock transport order instead of the stock transfer reservation".
I confused with WM stock tranfer order, but I want to ask you if you have used UB transport order between storage location of the same plant?
    Best regards,
    Favio.

  • Stock Transfer using movement type 309 of in-transit material

    Hi Gurus,
We have a scenario where we want to post a 309 movement type on an intransit STO stock (sto is done from PWO, this is done to solve a SOX compliance problem). But it seems that this is not possible as the 309 can not be posted without a s. loc. Is there any alternative to this? Can a two step transfer using 313 and 315 do the trick? Please advise.
    Thanks

In real life you cannot do anything to a material that is somewhere on the road, hence it is pretty limited what you can do in SAP.
What exactly do you want to do?

  • Stock Transfer using Intransit plant

    Experts,
We have a case where the material has to be transferred from Plant1 to Plant2. We also treat the Truck which carries the material from Plant 1 to Plant 2 as an in transit plant (say plant 3). Truck then delivers material to the Destination Plant. So we have 2 Stock Transfers here from Source Plant1 to Intransit Plant (Plant 3) and then from Intrasit Plant3 to Destination Plant2.
How would we create excise invoice in this case. The main reason for creating an intransit plant is that the carrier may be used to deliver the material to different destination plants
Will creating a manual Excise Invoice using J1IS would serve the purpose

The Business is Oil Down stream...Plant 3 is the truck which carries Oil from Refinery (Plant 1 ) to Depot (Plant 2)...
The reason behind this is the Same Oil truck would despatch Oil to 2 or more depots...
My question is about the Excise Invoice making ...refer my first posting
This is already implemented in other countries and we need to apply this for India.

  • Stock Transfer by movement type 301 referring STO

I am unable to generate a stock transfer referring an STO in MB1B or MIGO by movement type 301. I am successfully doing whenever I refer a Reservation. Please advice.

    Hi,
i have to ask you to read the SAP Documentation for 'Stock Transfer Using a Stock Transport Order'.
It is explained there how to post a goods movement for STO.

  • Intracompany stock transfer-value stock transfer by adding freight charges?

    Hi
We want to setup an intracompany stock transfer using purch.doc type UD - with delivery processing.
By standard configuration when I post the goods issue in the delivering plant it value the material movement by using the price from the delivering plant.(MAP/Standard price - whichever applies according to price control)
How can we uplift this with a freight or service charge?
I have checked the pricing procedure RM2000 "Stock Transfer Document" which is assign to purchase document type UD in standard. This pricing schema allows in the stock transport order to enter freight conditions FRB1 and FRC1 which is exactly what we want.
However, when posting the goods issue now in the delivering plant, SAP complains that it can't post the accruals for FR1. The error message indicates that no account was found. Having checked OMWB though, the MM account determination is complete. I suspect the problem is the value string attached to movement type 641 which doesn't allow freight clearing/provisions at all....
    Anyone an idea?
    Bjoern

    Hi ,
STOs can very well handle freight costs :
You can create new freight / delivery cost conditions in M/06 and assign in pricing procedure "RM2000" in M/08
also assign the Accrual Key to this and do the Account Detrmination for this Accrual Key in OBYC
If your MAP in sending plant is 100 and freight in 10
    At the time of PGI, following accounting entry will get generated;
    Stock A/c - Dr - 110 (Receiving Plant)
    Stock A/c - Cr - 100 (Supplying Plant)
    Freight Clearing A/c - Cr - 10 (Supplying Plant)

  • Stock Transfer for Assets Item

    Hi MM guru's
what is the procedure for stock transfer in SAP  for assets (Plant to Plant)
    Thanks in advance

    Hi there,
If the stock you can see in MMBE you can go for plant to plant stock transfer using MB1B movement type 301
if you cant see the stock that means you have received the material from PO having account assignment category A which says it is an asset.
Now for that you have to go for the asset to asset (Asset code to Asset code ) create an asset code in the reciving plant and transfer through FI module path. Just consult your FI consultant for the same.

  • Very imp stock transfer and stock transport order

    hi folks,
please explain me in detail the difference between stock transfer and  stock transport order.
    regards,meena

    Hi:
Stock Transfer is the physical movement of material from one location to another location, stock transport order is one way of doing the stok transfer.
Stock can be transfer between plant to plant, company code to company code, storage location to storage location.
However there are different procedures for stock transfers:
1.Stock Transfer using one step procedure: Here Goods issue and Goods receipts happens in single step.
2.Stock Transfer using Two stage procedure:The two-step procedure allows you to monitor the stocks in transit. After the goods issue is posted at the issuing point, the stock appears "in stock transfer" at the receiving point and is managed as such in the system.
    3.Stock Transport Order:
This is transfer of material from one plant to other plant or co.code to co.code via SD route.
Here a.receiving plant raise the stock transport order on issuing plant.
           b. Issiuing plant creates the outbounmd delivery against STO and PGI.IF it is in India, then excise
               invoice creation.
           c. Receiving plant post the goods receipt against outbound delivery and post the excise ivoice.
           d. Invoice verification.
The main advantage of Stock Transport order is you have a more control because you can have  purchasing document behind itand you can check the PO history which would gives all the details for Delivery as well GR documents.
However ftor STO via SD you need to configure the set up stock transport order in MM>Purchasing>Purchase Order-->Set Up Stock Transoport order.
Also on a data maintanace side you need to maintain the custmor and vendor relations.
    Hope this would helps you.
    Cheers

  • Stock Transfer of Blocked Stock Plant-to-Plant

    Hi..
I have an issue regarding Stock Transfer of blocked stock from one Plant-to-Plant.
I realize that blocked stock cannot be transfered directly.
But the issue here is that if we cannot transfer the blocked stock directly, that means we have to do transfer posting from blocked stock to unrest use then stock transfer using mov type: 301. Then in the destination plant, we transfer again to blocked stock.
If this is applied, then it will potentially raise other issues related to incorrect stock transfer by the other users once the material is released to unrest. use.
So, in short, that's why we need to have direct stock transfer scenario for this issue.
    Kindly have your assistance
    Thanks in advance
    Albert

    Hello Albert,
You are correct. We can not transfer blocked stock from one plant to another and you have to follow the same steps which you already mentioned.
As per the business logc, We can not move "Blocked" (Business term: Rejected/scrapped/spoiled) material out of our business unit except Retrun to Vendor or Scrap it. so it is also not logical to move "THAT kind of Stock" to another plant.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Arif Mansuri

  • Stock transfer posting

    Dear All,
Pls explain me about the stock transfer posting with Tcode ????

    Hi,
You can post both transfer postings and stock transfers in the SAP system. Transfer postings differ from stock transfers, in that transfer postings are not connected with a physical goods movement. They usually involve a change in stock type, batch number, or material number.
An example of transfer posting is the release from inspection into the company's own stock.
    Stock Transfer Procedures
There are three different procedures for carrying out a stock transfer:
Stock transfer via stock transfer posting using the one-step procedure
Stock transfer via stock transfer posting using the two-step procedure
Stock transfer using a stock transport order
    T. codes are MB1B or MIGO
    Thanks,
    Kumar Arcot
