Stock type change inMIGO

Hi All,
we are doing a 2 step GRN with movement type 103 and 105. At the time of releasing the GR blocked stock with movement type 105 I want the stock type to automatically come up as unrestricted stock. I think there is a standard configuration which I am unable to locate. can someone help me out please.

As per my knowledge, with standard settings, action can only be among the predefined types - goods issue, goods receipt, or transfer posting etc.
I am not aware if any SPRO settings are there for changing this.
GR into blocked stock is a specific movement type. So that goes under MVT type field.

I am looking to develop an R3 system program (in ABAP) which based on certain criteria can change a storage unit's stock type between unrestricted, quality, and blocked. I know there is a BAPI, 'BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE', which can be used to do the Posting Change in IM and there are function modules, L_TO_CREATE_SINGLE, etc, which can be used to create/confirm transfer orders for the storage unit in WM, but I was hoping someone can provide guidance on how I could make this simpler. Is there a one-step method I can use to combine the movements for IM and WM (either programatically or through configuration). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if the system has determined more quants than are necessary for processing the posting change notice, you can restrict the quant selection further, so that you can process the posting change notice in the background.

PTP - Change to stock type field status configuration in Purchase Order

When creating or changing a PO for direct material - or even during goods receipt, the stock type field which by default is "X - Quality Inspection" can be changed to "Unrestricted Use" by the purchasing personnel. This is not in line with QA requirements where the change from QI to Unrestricted use can only be done by QA personnel.
Need to configure the system not to allow purchasing personnel to change the status.
Please tell me where i need to configure the above requirement.

HI,
You will need to change screen layout at document level in ME21N and ME22N. Follow below steps
SPRO -> Mateial Management -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Define Screen Layout at Document levle -> ME21N -> Look for Quality Inspection (I believe this is the field, I did not test it) and make it Display only. By default it comes as Optional entry.

How to Change stock type of SERIAL NUMBER using IQ02 ?

Does anyone know how I can change the stock type from stock in transfer (stock type 04) to unrestricted stock (stock type 01), using IQ02?
Quantity of material is updated while posting document with movement 313 but the stock type of Serial is still not updated.
I will really appreciate a response.

Stock in transit is not a stock type.
Stock in transit is "Quantity of a material that has already been withdrawn from storage at the issuing plant on the basis of a stock transport order, but has not yet arrived at the plant to which it is being transferred (receiving plant)'.
and you can do sto only from unrestricted stock.
There are three types of stock which are provided by SAP -
1) Unrestricted use stock;
2) QI (Quality Inspection) stock; and
3) Block stock
and Special stocks which are all coming under above three types of stocks only.
for your problem first you do GR, in MIGO screen you can select stock types.
if your material assigned with serial number, when doing MIGO itself, you will be asked to enter the serial numbers(if it is manual assignment).

How to change stock type of GR in BAPI_REPMANCONF1_CREATE_MTS

Dear All,
We faced a problem at confirmation in repetitive manufacturing. Actually we would like the goods-receipt(GR) to be posted to quality or blocked stock. If we use the transaction MFBF, there is an option where we can set it. The menu path is Edit->Change detailed settings. There is the stock type. The material document has been posted correctly as it is expected. But when we want to post the confirmation through BAPI_REPMANCONF1_CREATE_MTS, I did not find any option to enter the stock type. I also looked for some solution on the internet, but so far I have found nothing. Does any of you have any experience or idea how to solve this issue?

Dear All,
The promlem has been solved by myself. In user-exit XMRM0001 (EXIT_SAPLBARM_001) we have the chance to set the stock type. There is an import strucutre I_RM61B which is created based on strucutre RM61B. If we enhance the structure RM61B with additional field (ex. ZZINSMK) we can pass the relevant value to the user-exit trough this structure, because it is available in the BAPI as import parameter.

Change stock type in IQ02

How to change the value of the stock type using IQ02? Do I need to do any configuration in SPRO in order to make it modifiable? Currently in IQ02, this field is not allowed to change.

Dear Friends,
Is there any way to change stock type (from Restricted-Use to Unrestricted-Use) in back date? (other than MSC2N)
For Example:
I have posted a stock in August in restricted-use by GR. Till now, it lies in restricted-use only.
Now, I want to make change in stock type from Restricted-use to Unrestricted-use in august only.
Is it possible?
I have tried using MSC2N but its change stock type on current date.
Also, in MIGO Transfer Posting by Mvt Type 342/341 is not allowed.

You can allow back posting for a month back by :
Go to Transaction Code SE38
Enter program name RMMMINIT
Execute or press F8 function button
Enter your company code (From and To)
Enter relevant date: Say 26/08/2008 for aug. 2008 month to be opened as of now...
then go to MIGO...
Now is will allow you to post...

Change field Stock Type in transaction MIGO

My user wants to change the field Stock Type in good receipt after that good receipt has been created .
Is there a way to change this field ? Using transaction MIGO can only display the good receipt .

Once GR has been done you can not change the stock type in display.
Using MIGO at the time of goods receipt you can change the stock Type. Once you have posted to a wrong stock type then you need to do the transfer posting from stock type to stock type.

How do you change a stock type within a purchase order? Right now I need to change a stock type from a 1 (warehouse) to a 4 (blocked). Where on a purchase order would I change this?

Changing stock type on serial profiles.

I am trying to change the stock type on a serial number. It is currently 07 blocked stock. The stock is all unrestricted and in bin locations. Nothing has been blocked on this and I am not able to change the stock typ using IQ02. Please advise

How to transfer special stock type ''O'' from unrestricted into blocked

Hello!
I would like to finD out if there is any movement type which would move sprecial stock ''O'' (provided for Vendor) from unrestricted to blocked? The stock should still belong to vendor afterthat.
We want to move the quantity of some batches into ststus blocked as we do not want them to be used (bad quality) - the are physicaly at vendor. We move this unavailable materials from vendor to our plant every 2-3 months and would need to have accurate information about unrestricted stock.

For the stock of material provided to vendors, the available stock types are unrestricted-use stock and stock in quality inspection. So you can NOT change the stock type to blocked.
I suggest you create a special storage location for this purpose.

Need to block vendor stock, type O. I need mvmt 342 or 344?

   I'm attempting to block stock provided to a vendor (type O) so that MRP doesn't consider it usable, until we decide what to do with it. Unfortunately, SAP doesn't allow movement 344 to be used with type O stock, and movement 342, which should work, won't show up in MIGO or MIGO_TR.
   I have not been able to change configuration for movement 342 to make it show up in MIGO, and I have not been able to add stock type O to the allowed stock types for movement 344.
   Is there another way to block this stock type, and if not, which configuration should I modify, and how can I find the transactions to configure this?

If this is subcontracted stock at the vendor then I do not believe it is possible to block this . Check a thread in this forum from Aug 22nd concerning the same- block sub contracted stock.The only other way to block this stock is to bring it back in house.

How to know which stock type updated within movement type

I need to know which stock type updated within each movement type.
I'm using two different system (SAP and Oracle) which is in each system updating stock. So i need to do stock calculation manually from that two systems.
I'm planning to imported material document data (from MKPF & MSEG) to Oracle and then combine the stock calculation.
And then i'm facing this :

MIGO transaction - Transfer Posting - movement type 322 (reversal QI to Unrest.)
in MSEG field BWART : 322, SHKZG : S, INSMK : blank --> problem
in MSEG field BWART : 322, SHKZG : H, INSMK : blank --> problem
I have a problem that in MKPF & MSEG there is no indicator which stock type updated within movement type (BWART) 322.
How to know that first row will be updating stock QI and second row will be updating stock Unrest.??
I've already checked to OMJJ, SM30-V_156SC_VC, table T156... and still having no clue.
Or is it just a 'hardcode' ? And i need to do 'hardcode' too in Oracle system?

The stock type indicator doesn't update for the movement type 322 in table MSEG.
At the time of transferring, you do not have to enter the stock type for movement type 322.
I can give you one clue, check can it fulfill your requirement.
You have two line items for movement type 322 in MSEG table, There are a field XAUTO will be updated as X for credit entry.
You can assume, the line item (without value for XAUTO) is for less from QI stock and the line item (with value X for XAUTO) is for add to unrestricted stock.

Stock Type "Quality Inspection" on the Purchase Order

We would like to use the quality inspection stock type in the purchase order; so when are users go to receive the materials it would automatically post them to quality inspection stock. We are trying to do this without using alot of the functionality in QM. My question is, in transaction MIGO it normally uses movement type 101. When we try to receive the materials we get this message:
"Account determination for entry 0010 BSX ____ ___ 7920 not possible"
My questions is, are we using the correct process/movement type. We have been researching this but have not found much detail on the movement type 101 for this process.
We realize we can use movement types 321 and 322 in MB1B to move the product.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hi,
The message you are getting is in no way related to the Quality inspection stock. You can check this by changing the Quality Inspection stock type. The message is related to valuation class entered in the mateiral master. Pl. check your system configuration for valuation class indicated (7920) in transaction OBYC (for GBB - BSX). This setting automatically determines the G/L account to which the FI entry should be posted at the time of posting GRN.
If you maintain correct G/L account entry for valuation class 7920 in transaction OBYC for GBB - BSX, your message will disappear & you will be able to post GRN.
