Stocks app changed in iOS-8 - language

Hi, just updated to iOS-8 and found one thing very annoying and it also does´t make sense to me:
I have lots of stocks in my stocks app - like Apple at NASDAQ (AAPL) and Apple at FRA (APC.F) or Adobe NASDAQ (ADBE) and Adobe FRA (ADB.F).......
So - quite often the same stock from two countries... - i have good reasons for that...
Until now when i was looking at the news i got the US news at the US-stocks - that makes sense...
i got no news at the other stock (lets say from a country in Europe) -
that i did not get any news from the european country is sad but not soooo important - because i really was looking at the US news (in that case...)
I always thought you should get the news (they are from yahoo anyway) from the country you are looking for the stock - so looking for AAPL you get the news from the US, looking for the news for APC.F the news from that country... - well - that never worked for me anyway.
But now its getting worse: with iOS-8 i suddenly get german news looking at the news for the US stock... and no news looking at the german stock...
I am mainly interested in the US news for the US stocks...
Does anybody know how i could get US-news for the US stocks - and it would be perfect to get lets say german news for the german stock (f.e. APC.F)...
If this is not possible - regard this as a feature request

Can app colors be changed in iOS 7?

Most of the core apps such as Music, Mail, Reminders, Phone, etc, have a white background with grey text, which is difficult for me to read the button text. Is it possible to change the background color of stock apps? If you look at the FaceTime app, it does NOT have a white background.

It's evident that Apple does what it wants to do, and does not listen to their customers. I bought a Moto X for $299 without a contract from Republic Wireless, and pay $30 per month for unlimited talk/text/data. Everything is so much easier to view and read, I'm not even thinking of going back unless Apple makes some drastic changes to iOS 7.
And it has something that has irked me about iPhones since I bought my first iPhone -- Persistant missed call/voicemail notifications! The iPhone would remind me that I have voice mail once, that's it. If you missed it, you would probably miss the voice mail too. The Moto X persistanly reminds me every few minutes with an AMOLED display of an icon for missed voice mail, text messages, etc. Untill I dismiss it! It's configurable actually.

The apps load on the iPhone only. G to the App Store and search for alternatives. There are many there.

Can I change the Stocks displayed in teh Stocks App?

The Stocks App comes with six default displays. I want to change the three single stocks to the DAX, Nikki and FST100. Can this be done?

While in the Stocks app, press the "i" in the lower right hand corner to change the displayed stocks. Press the "+" icon to add and the "-" icons to remove stocks.

Stocks App not saving changes

My stocks app is not saving changes no matter what changes I make. After making a change, I'll exit the app, re-enter and it defaults back to a whole bunch of stuff I didn't add.
Can someone help me with this, I'm not sure where to even start!

The iTunes app changed language

after updating to ios5, the itunes app changed language, went to dutch. All other apps are in french, regional settings set to french.
is there a way to change the itunes back to french?
this didn't happen with my ipad, wich seems to have exactly the same settings...

I found stock app in iOS8, the relative news sources from Yahoo has been changed.
For example:
HIMX is a company in Taiwan, but a stock on NASDAQ.
In iOS 7 (and older version), the relative news sources are from Yahoo US.
But in iOS 8, the relative news sources are changed from Yahoo Taiwan.
I think this new change is not good because the stock is trading on NASDAQ, not in Taiwan stock market.
The relative news from Yahoo US is useful and more than news from Yahoo Taiwan.
So, I hope Apple iOS8 stock app developer can change back the news sources setting.
Or maybe let users can set the news sources by themselves.
Or maybe adopting both news mixed from Yahoo US and Yahoo Taiwan.

Hello is very very annoying the automatic change of the language in this app. The first thing I saw when get iOS8 was this "issue". I´d like to follow the news of my stocks in real time and now the news aren´t relevant. My iPhone 5S is using spanish language and the only workaround I've found is to change the entire language of the device to english. Any other settings I tried was not solve anything regarding to the stock app news language.
Mac OS Mavericks stock app is sourcing the news, as always, from yahoo US. I hope Yosemite too.... but I don´t think so.
I found very useful the way this app showed the financial news sorted by stocks and don´t find any new app with so easy taps function to replace it.
Pls let me know if you get any solution.

Stocks app in iOS8 problem

Had iPhone 4s and had number of companies listed on the stocks app that is one of the built in apps. Just upgraded to iphone 6 with ios8 and the stocks app cannot find some of those same companies. My wife's 5s now running ios8 also exhibits same problem

So it seems that even though the companies that were not showing up were UK companies, changing the phone language from English (UK) to English solved the problem! Seems strange, but true!

How do i remove an Update notification? I do not want to update to the latest iOS (Asian languages) which is useless to me and I don't want to waste space on my iPad. I want to be able to "Select All" instead of doing each update individually.

How to change the spelling correction language in Mail

Often I have to write emails in different languages and I'm looking for a solution to change the spelling language by a click. My plan was to record the procedure of changing the language and then to add for every language one button to the mail tool bar. First I tried to record an AppleScript in Mail. Didn't work at all (actually the only app I found which records scripts is Finder). Then I recorded a similar task in Finder which works fine and tried to adopt it to Mail. It didn't work out. Has someone an idea how I can solve that problem.
My simple training script what I tried to adopt for Mail (i just tried to change something in the Mail preferences, not the language):
tell application "Finder" <--- replaced all "Finder" with "Mail"
activate
select Finder window 1
open window of Finder preferences
set folders open in new windows of Finder preferences to true
close window of Finder preferences
end tell

It's not that easy! Apart from the fact that Mail doesn't work the same way as Finder, it also doesn't have its own spell checker: it uses the system-wide AppleSpell service.
The pane you see when you manually change the preferred spelling language in Mail (or TextEdit, or Safari) doesn't belong to Mail at all, and isn't directly accessible by AppleScript because AppleSpell is an invisible and unscriptable process.
See this closed Apple Discussions thread for a brief indication of how you can change the preferred language using a shell script.
And see this macoshints thread for an indication of the complexity of the issue.
You need to know the "code" for each language used in the preferences file: "en_GB" for British English, "fr" for French etc etc. You would then need to wrap each shell script in an AppleScript "do shell script" command like this:
do shell script "defaults write 'Apple Global Domain' 'NSPreferredSpellServerLanguage' \"fr\""
to change the language to French.
Unfortunately, I think you would also need to quit Mail and relaunch it before the change will take effect.

I use often stocks app in my iPhone and this good for quick info. Unfortunately i can't transfer this app to my iPad mini without jailbrake.
I don't want use jailbrake on my iOS devices what are the solution.

Thanks your quick replay! I bought some stock apps what are usefuly but the stocks app on iPhone what i preferred and this not are on App Store. With jailbrake you can easily transfer but this not my way

Why are my apps changing when i change the orientation from landscape to portrait

Recently, on my ipad mini retina, when i change the orientation from landscape to portrait, the apps change. For example, when i enter a game like impossible and change to landscape to play it and then exit the screen has shifted to either the right or left and shows the first line of the next pages apps. Its kind of like when im in the middle of changing from one page to another but it only changes back to normal when i tough the screen. Im not sure if this has anything to do with the new 7.1 ios but it is becoming really annoying

I know it is not a specific app problem because it happens when i come out of some of my apps, it doesnt happen all of the time, only sometimes. Also if any of you could help me with another issue with the same device, when i connect to wifi/hotspot i get static on the screen, it is very noticable when i show a dark picture or a large amount of the screen is a dark colour but i wanted to know if this was normal with the ipad mini retina. I have seen discussions about this device having problems connecting to wifi but i havent found any discussions on this. Does anyone know could cause this?
