Stolen iphone how to report the imei?

months ago my 5C was stolen......today i found out itunes store the imei and serial number. So i was wondering could i report it stolen to ATT/apple so the phone could not be used atlease.
if so do i contact att or apple to get the phone disabled?

You don't report it to Apple at all.
You should have let your carrier know when it was stolen, to stop service.
You should also have reported it to the police.
Other than changing your passwords, there was nothing else to do.

Do you have the original retail box the tablet came in? If so its where the barcode is located, ideally labeled as the IMEI.

You have a password, so good move on your part. Whether you erase it or the thief does, they still get to use the iPhone as theirs. Which is more important (pick one), protecting your data or punishing the thief?
Ringing occurs at the carrier. Chances are you're going to voicemail after only two or three rings. If you have an iCloud backup also a good move. Re-read my question in the first paragraph.

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up. You can't use the FIndMyiPhone app on the iPod since the app requires iOS 7

You can't locate an iPad via its IMEI number, unless you enabled Find My iPad on it before it was stolen then there isn't any way to locate it. If you did enable it then you could try locating it either via http://icloud.com on a computer or Find My iPhone / Find My iPad on another device - but that will only work if it's connected to a network and the device hasn't already been wiped and/or Find My iPad disabled on it.
If it was stolen then you should report it to the police. You should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.

In regards to the iPhone's passode lock feature, if someone knows what they are doing and has the proper tools/utility, an assigned passcode lock can be bypassed - just as if someone wants to break in to your house or vehicle that is locked - where there is a will, there is a way.
Doubtful whoever stole your iPhone is interested in your data. If you had the erase data feature enabled, which completely erases the iPhone after 10 failed passcode attempts, you are covered there.

iPhone - How long do the external speakers on an iPhone last? In tech specs says 30 hours but I believe it lasts 30 hours only with the earbuds and not with the external speakers. Any thoughts?

FYI - the iPhone includes a single speaker - the opposite grill that appears the same is the iPhone's microphone.
It makes no difference.
The 3Gs offers "up to" 10 hours of video playback, or 30 hours of audio playback on a full charge at original capacity. Using the external speaker will not use more battery than using the earbuds but if so, the difference will be negligible.
This is also included as a footnote.
All battery claims depend on network configuration and many other factors; actual results will vary.
To get the most battery out of Audio playback, turn Airplane mode on so all iPhone radios will be off.

Why does Apple lock my phone to the first SIM I activate with? How to clear the IMEI?

I paid a premium to purchase a unlocked iPhone direct from Apple Canada so that I could use this phone around the world with various SIM cards. As it turns out however, Apple locks this phone upon the initial activation with the SIM I had installed for the activation. The result is that I can receive calls, send/receive SMS but cannot send calls.
Apple tells me that its Rogers I need to talk to. Rogers wants $60 to unlock my phone and tell Apple's IMEI database that this phone is legit. So why can't Apple register my IMEI directly in their own database? I bought the phone from them, unlocked.
This is unacceptable frankly!
Apple advised to do a restore from iTunes with the new SIM and it should unlock. I attempted this after a backup, restoring from the backup, but am still unable to make calls.
Can anyone please advise how I can register my IMEI directly with Apple or how I can get this working again? I'm 5 months with a $800 piece of hardware that can't make phone calls.
@Apple...can you please provide me with an official story of how this works, why its done this way and how it is to be solved?

iPhones which are sold subsidized or bought directly from a carrier are all carrier locked iPhones.
The only way to buy an unlocked iPhone is direct from Apple at full price. This is just the way it is.
As far as unlocking the iPhone goes it is up to the carrier. Rogers started to unlock iPhones back in December for $50 + applicable provincial taxes, which puts it somewhere close to $60. This is a service that Rogers offers and has nothing to do with Apple. Yes the IMEI number is added to town Apple server somewhere but the service is to do with Rogers. If you are having issues with the unlocking process then you need to contact Rogers.
Once the IMEI number has been sent in you should be able to connect your iPhone to iTunes and do one of two things. You can restore the iPhone with the original SIM. You should get a message saying the iPhone is unlocked with the restore is completed. Second option is to install a sim card from a differnt carrier and then connect to iTunes. No restore should be required if you have a sim card from a differnt carrier.
If you are not getting service with the new carrier and the sim card I would say double check that the sim card is working properly and is activated with the new carrier. You should be able to call them to see.
