Stolen ipod and laptop

Suggestions from anyone would be great...have recently had the ipod and laptop with itunes library taken in a car break-in. What I would like to know is when I get the replacement goods can I re-download all the purchased songs, videos, tv shows etc to my new ipod. Have my library backed up to a certain point but any recent stuff won't be there so if anyone out there can help it will be appreciated...feelin' pretty cut off by not having my music!!!

Sad news.

If you use iTunes store, you can download the lost content only buying it for the second time.
The rules are different in many other places.

  • My Ipod and laptop were stolen...how can I duplicate all my purchased items

My ipod and laptop containing my Itunes library were stolen. How can I re-download my purhcased items without paying for them again. When I go into the store and check my download history and request available downloads I get a message saying all available downloads have been done for this account.

You could try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and in the circumstances you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. • IPod and laptop sound in a room

    Hello,
I am designing a yoga studio and want sound in the room. With my experience yoga teachers have their own ‘song list’ on an iPod or laptop and want to plug in to the amplification system when they teach. What I would like to offer in the room is the ability to plug their devices into the in room sound system. An iDock would be fine but this would not allow teachers to plug in their laptops. Is there an application on the market (like a wall iJack) that would allow plug in of both iPods and laptops?
    Thank you,

    No.

  • Stolen ipod and computer - can I retrieve my songs?

My computer and ipod were both stolen in a break-in. (I have the serial numbers and the police report number). Is there any way I can retrieve the songs I had on my ipod and put them into the replacement? For example are they stored somewhere on itunes linked to my account?

Songs which you purchase are downloaded to your computer, there is nothing stored anywhere else on your behalf, all that is kept is a record of your purchases. The policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once

Sorry to hear about your iPod being stolen. That's
    awful.
Just hook up the new iPod and your iTunes library

There's nothing special you need to do.
Hi! I have a similar issue with a new ipod and an old library, but mu ipod is not automatically updating. Even when I click the "update Tiffany's ipod" option from itunes...it just doesn't update! My ipod remains totally empty even theough I'm looking at my library on the computer screen.

  • Lost connection between ipod and laptop

    Hi there,
Not sure if this is a question for ipod or itunes, but here goes.
I recently purchased a 5th gen ipod and installed itunes on my 2 PC's and a PC based laptop. All worked fine.
Now when I connect the USB cable to the laptop, I hear three quick beeps, (not the usual 2 beeps) my ipod starts charging, but I can't see the ipod in itunes.
When I check device manager, there is an entry with a yellow question mark (labelled ipod) which says the driver is not installed. However when I load the itunes CD, the wizard says no drivers found.
My ipod works fine on the 2 other PC's.
I tried system restore but for some reason it fails to go back to any restore points. whether that's part of the problem or a red herring, I haven't a clue.
    Can anyone help?
    Many thanks

  • IPod and Laptop stolen...Recovering music possible?

My laptop (which had the iTunes with all the purchased music) and iPod Touch was stolen in Europe. I am planning to buy a new iPod Touch and was wondering if I could download all the songs I had purchased from the online iTunes or Apple store? (Made a mistake of not backing up all the music). Please advise.

If you didn't make a back-up of your purchases to restore from then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:

  • Stolen ipod and how best to register new

Ipod touch was stolen on holiday - no way of getting back. Bought new and want to know how best to set up and register - and also what about the stolen one that is registered as this would count as one of the devices I could keep songs on and so use use up one of the permitted devices.

    roaminggnome, ther is a device limit;
Your Apple ID can have up to 10 devices and computers (combined) associated with it. Each computer must also beauthorized using the same Apple ID. Once a device or computer is associated with your Apple ID, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days. You can view which devices or computers are currently associated, remove unused devices or computers, and see how long before they can be associated with a different Apple ID from the Account Information page in iTunes on your computer:

I've tried Icloud>>FindMyIphone and it didn't help me out because it was offline..? I need help, is there another way that i can locate it without using a phone only a computer..?

If it is offline, then you cannot track it at all.

  • Hi how do i get y photos that are in the cloud back on to my ipod and laptop

help me i need my picture but cant get them from the coud. !!!!!!!!
how do i go about to get them back?

Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days.  If you enable photo stream on your iPod you should be able to access those photos but older photo stream photos are no longer in iCloud.
Camera roll photos are included in your backup.  If they were on your iPod when you last backed up, restoring the backup should recover them.

  • Both my iPod and the laptop that had my iTunes library on it were stolen, is there a way to retrieve my former iTunes library?

A few months ago my iPod and laptop were stolen. Is there a way to retrieve my old iTunes library or a portion of my old iTunes songs even though I do not the iPod or the laptop?
Any and all help is welcome and needed.
    Thanks!

Use the backup to put back what you have... something is better than nothing.
Any purchases that are still missing can be downloaded from iTunes.
    Downloading past purchases from iTunes
If the iTunesLibrary.itl file was not a part of the backup, your library is gone.  Playlists will need to be recreated, playcounts are gone.

  • Can Apple Retrieve A Stolen iPod If I Give Them My Serial Number Of My iPod

My car was broken into and they took my iPod and I someone told me that I could give Apple the serial number of my stolen iPod and they could see where it was last used.
    Is this true?
If so then how do I go about telling Apple about my problem?
    Thanks,
    Sam

Apple have no process in place to either report or track stolen iPods. All you can do is report the theft to the Police together with the serial number, and if your iPod was registered with Apple when you first got it, they will assist the Police in returning it to you should it ever be recovered.
