My ipod was 'stolen' this thursday at school. Today is tuesday. Is it not possible to track my ipod's current ip address with the serial number and such? And I did reported the missing ipod to my school. What else can I do? I can report it to the police. But how do I do that? And its rather late so I don't know if anyone will listen now. I'm already a couple of days late in reporting so the chances of me not ever finding my ipod is bigger. I also plan on contacting the Apple media helpline (408)-974-2042 and ipod technical support (800)-275-2273 tomorrow morning. Also, is the same serial number in my receipt engraved into my ipod?

I'll do exactly what you've said. To report it to the police. I will then have them call ipod technical support (800)-275-2273 because apparently if I give them my ipod's serial number AND someone happened to plug it into a computer, they can find it. Stolen ipod, unregistered, can I get serial number

I had 2 ipods stolen from my car. I did not register them but I have recently synced them with my itunes. Is there anyone I can find the serial number?

If one of the Nanos was the last device that you connected to and synced with your iTunes library, there is a chance you might be able to get the serial # to show up in the Device Connectivity diagnostic report. See here for instructions on running this test.

You can't. The SN will only help identify the iPod as yours IF it is recovered.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.

- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.

I have serial number and registered copy of Photoshop CS6 extended and got a new laptop that does not have a diskdrive. I have signed in and the product does come up as I own it but....I cant seen to download it at all and type in my serial number anywhe

If you have migrated/copied/transferred your applications from one computer to another then it could cause any serial number entered to be seen as invalid. I would recommend using the uninstaller appropriate for your operating system and then reinstalling.

InDesign CS5 for Mac crashes on opening file. Have replaced References and all other suggestions.

I am having a problem with InDesign CS5 crashing when I try to open a file that formerly opened just fine. Even restored versions from Time Machine or that I had a backup saved on an external hard drive will not open. I recently had to reconstruct a 90 page magazine for the same reason. I heard that Extensis Suitcase might be causing the problem so I disabled the plug-in, but still can't get the file open. The file in question is full of tables and would be a nightmare to redo. I am running Snow Leopard. It will open briefly and tell me that fonts are missing, then crash.

I have already disabled the Extensis plug-in and am activating the fonts
manually from within Extensis. It's the very latest version, Suitcase
Fusion 3, and it warps my chops that it doesn't play nice with InDesign.
I got rid of the Mindsteam grammar plug-in also and sent a tersely
worded letter to the vendor. When you pay nearly $200 for a plug-in, you
expect it to work. I don't have time for this aggravation! I truly

The issues started when entering a site that required flash. I received a message that I had to upgrade flash and when attempting to upgrade the system crashed. Perform a speed test on your internet connection. There are a myriad of sites that do this, for example, www.speedtest.net,www.speakeasy.net/speedtest, www.dslreports.com/speedtest, and your internet provider may also have a page in their support/help section to do a speedtest.
Goto Location --> ~/Librarly/Logs/Adobe_ADMLogs
Upload the two log files (Adobe_ADM.log and Adobe_GDE.log) using the instructions posted here https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1408375
Reply back to this thread with the results of the download speed test and the URL to the uploaded log files.
In the mean time, the offline installer is posted at Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac page in the 'Still having problems' section should work for you.

Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod. If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number). If any passwords are associated with your bank or any savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief. All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. This requires action before the device is lost/stolen. If the device has significant personal information, it should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.
