Stolen laptop - concerned about access to my itunes account

I just had my laptop stolen. Not highest priority, but the other stuff has been addressed, so trying to figure out how to close down or freeze my itunes account to prevent someone from accessing my info and downloading stuff using my credit card. Any ideas?

Change you password. This is assuming that you can access your account. Also you can 'de-authorize' the stolen computer.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You first need to sign into the account in iTunes on your laptop, then you need to transfer the content from your moms laptop and import it into iTunes on yours. You can do this in a number of ways, either over a network, with an external drive, or even a USB stick.
If you go to iTunes preferences > advanced on your moms laptop, it will tell you where the original files can be found.

Can't connect and get access to my iTunes account & not able to purchase

For some reason I am not able to get connection or get access to my iTunes account and I am not able to make a App Purchase through the iTunes Store, the MessageI get is:
" We could not Complete your iTunes store request. A Secure Network connection could not be Established." then in smaller words below it, it says:"Check your computers date and Time are correct and try agsain."
My Date and time settings are correct, what does this have to do with my iTunes store purchase and iTunes account?????

*Think I Fixed It!*
Used Keychain Utility to remove all untrusted and expired certificates. I had several. And I removed all stored passwords related to iTunes. Quit out of iTunes. Came back into iTunes. Logged out of my iTunes Store account (which it would not let me do before this). And logged back in. All is good now.
Could be coincidental I suppose but I had only moments before tried to log out of the iTunes Store account before doing the above and it was not working then.
Be cautious. Don't delete any certs that don't have RED X's on them.

Sure, you can buy new things. You just can't re-download past purchases for 90 days after changing the AppleID used with a computer, as the link provided by ChitlinsCC discusses. To avoid this problem make sure you always have backups of all purchases you make which is a good idea in any case in case a distributor pulls an item from the store whereby you won't be able to redownload it.

You can't transfer any content from one account to another account, all content will remain tied to the account that downloaded it.
If this page doesn't let you get access to your old account : http://iforgot.apple.com, then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get access to it : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 (if you've also forgotten the answers to your security questions then they should also be able to reset them)

i recieved the same email with the same game and it also stated the purchase was from canada i have revieved a few other as well and am concerned i have changed my password a few times now but i still revcieve emails and am very worried. i recieved the email near the date this question had been put up

Can I please get some answers about fraudulent access to my itunes account?

Today I found three unauthorized charges to my itunes account. Following those three charges, three other unauthorized charges appeared from other software/gaming companies (NCSoft, Valve Software, and TMA). I can't get an actual person to answer the phone at Apple and I would like some answers about unauthorized access to itunes accounts. When I called my bank to report the fraud, they told me they had already received several calls this morning about unauthorized itunes charges and then larger, unauthorized software charges.
I would really like someone from Apple to address these questions, are they aware that there are problems with itunes accounts? If so, what is being done?

I had the same EXACT thing happen to me. This morning I looked at my bank account & there was a $1 charge from itunes (not unusual, except this charge did not come with an email receipt as they usually do) there there are two $49.99 holds on my account from Valve Software. I cancelled my card with the bank right away. I tried calling Valve Software and a message comes on stating "if you have a question about a charge to your bank account, press 7". Happen much??? hmmmm I left a message with no return call as of yet. I'm guessing someone hacked my itunes account.. Valve Software is a video game website that sells downloads on there as well as through itunes. Apple should immediately cease dealings with this company as they sound VERY shady. This is not the first blog I've seen about it. Now it's going to take time to get my money back & now I have to get a new card/card number. I own an iPod, iPhone 4 and iPhone4s. My iTunes account with my music library (copied from CD's) is stored on my Windows desktop computer. Recently, I used my Windows laptop computer to access my iTunes account and purchase some music which was downloaded to the laptop computer. I then synced the iPod and the iPhone 4 to the laptop and was able to add the purchased music to these two devices.
Yesterday I bought the iPhone 4s. I want to copy all the music library found in my iTunes account stored on the desktop computer to the new iPhone 4s. When I tried to sync the iPhone 4s to my desktop iTunes account the device "times out". How do I get my music library that is on the desktop copied to the new iPhone 4s?

Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Sync laptop and desk top to one iTunes account

I have been reading some of the posts for syncing multiple computers to one iTunes account. What I get out of it is at this time syncing one iTune account with multiple computers is out unless you want to use a third party software. I work from home and use the laptop most of the time but when I am home I would like to use the desk top to sync with. I am wondering will the iCloud remedy this? The music library is taken care of, it's the apps I am looking to sync.

No thanks, the next option I have is getting a docking station for the laptop and do away with the desktop. It is four plus years old so it's about time for a new one or an alternative method. External hard drive for backing everything up and using the cloud for work. Sounds like plan "B" is the way to go.
