Stop a job from printing

Hope Experts how are you today?
One of our users created a job SD_203_Z_AUTO_DEL.  Everytime this jobs runs it prints out. She would like to stop this job from printing. Is there anything in SM37 job overview that I need to change. If not in SM37 than were do I go. I see that SU01 under Spool Control OutputDevice is QU6, but if I change this than she won't be able to print anything. Sorry for the novice question. I don't spend alot of time in SAP these days........

Using transaction SM37, you can select the job from the list and select Job -> Change from the menu.  Select the Step button, which will list the steps in the job.  Select the step (program) that creates the output and select Step -> Change from the menu.  There should be a Print Specifications button at the bottom of the screen.  Select this button and then select the Properties button.  Change the Time of Printing to 'Send to SAP spool' and save all of your entries.

  • To stop transfer orders from printing

user has transfer orders printing to a specific printer automatically, were in SAP do you stop the orders from printing automatically.

    HI,
Remove print code from your movement type and that should solve your problem.
or (if you do not want to remove the print code) your spool code is responsible for auto printing.
Note down your movement type' s print code and go to OMLV change the specific spool code(auto print) to different spool code which can stop auto print.
    Hope this helps

    Hello,
This seems to be what is called a "Separator page" in Windows printer driver.
Separator pages are used at the beginning of each document to make it
easy to find a document among others at the printer
On Windows, it is a "Printer Driver" setting

  • Cannot remove clear a job from printer queue in Windows 7 Home Premium

printed a word document.  document prints, but does not clear out of the printer queue.  i have cancelled the print several times, but the document remains in the printer queue and reprints every time the computer is restarted.  how can i clear this job from the printer queue?
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
From the Control Panel, open Administrative Tools and select Sevices.  Browse down to the print spooler service, right click it and select Properties then click on the Stop button.  Now browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS and delete the job inside this folder - You may need to click a prompt to gain the appropriate authority to open the PRINTERS folder.
Restart the computer and you should find the document(s) have been removed.

  • Officejet Pro 8600 - Can't remove canceled job from print queue

    Hi there
I canceled a print job from the print queue, but it refuses to budge! Everytime I try to remove it, I get this message:
I can print other documents, but it's very irritating having this here all the time (and a big red blob on my dock icon announcing a phantom print job).
Can anyone help me rid myself of this spectre of print purgatory?
    Cheers!

Try downloading and running the HP Print and Scan doctor. This software is able to remove phantom print jobs for you automatically. The program can be downloaded from here.
As well, for Windows based computers, restarting the computer can also help with this issue oftentimes. Hope this helps.

  • How to cancel all jobs from printer

We have network printer printing through a server, but some times some user tries to print the job locally instead of using the print server. In this case even if i clear all the jobs from the server the printer job sent to the printer trough tcp/ip  from the users computer remains hanging in the printer. In case the localy printed job is wrong or incompatible it hangs the HP printer with 49.4C02 error and there is no way to track down who sent the wrong job and printer At last the only option remains is to change the printers ip address which resolves the issue or if the user himself cancels the job from his computer. example printer : HP Color LaserJet 4700

  • How to stop Officejet 6210xi from printing logs

We inherited an officejet 6210xi. (No manual.) It is being used standalone as a fax. It now prints a log for each and every fax. This is a huge waste of paper, so how do we stop it from printing a log every time? Thanks.

    Hi,
May be it is the alignment page. Please perform aligning the printer once as per the steps below and check if helps.
Follow these steps to open the printer toolbox and align the printer, if you found defects on the print quality diagnostic report.
    1. Load plain white paper in the input tray.
    2. Open HP Solution Center:
    3. Click Settings.
    4. Under Print Settings , click Printer Toolbox . The printer Toolbox opens in a new window.
    5. Click the Device Services tab.
    6. Click Align the Printheads .
The product aligns the printheads. When the alignment is complete, the product prints an alignment page.
After the successful alignment, restart the printer and check.

  • Can't stop a job from plsql 27486 - stops fine from sql

    Hi,
I'm trying to create a simple package that will stop known jobs that the user owns. (Same user owns the jobs and the package)
    the code just does
    dbms_scheduler.disable('JOB_EMAIL_QUEUE', TRUE);
    dbms_scheduler.stop_job('JOB_EMAIL_QUEUE', TRUE);
    At stop_job I get
    ORA-27486 insufficient privilege
    ORA-06512 at "SYS.DBMS_ISCHED", line 164
    ORA-06512 at "SYS.DBMS_SCHEDULER", line 483
Yet if I put the exact same code in an anon block it runs fine in sqlplus for the same user. The user holds the role SCHEDULER_ADMIN but I have now granted him execute access on both dbms_isched and dbms_scheduler.
    Whassup?
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi,
I think what you're seeing is caused by the following two facts
    - a user must have the manage scheduler system privilege to stop a job with force=>true
    - definer's rights pl/sql stored procedures don't honour system privileges granted through roles. See
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14117_01/appdev.101/b10807/08_subs.htm#sthref1072
The simplest solution is to grant MANAGE SCHEDULER directly to the definer of the definer's rights stored procedure.
    Hope this helps,
    Ravi.

  • Can't delete job from print queue

HP Deskjet 6940. Usually faultless but it now has a print job shown as 'held' in the print queue but which it actually printed successfully four days ago - and it simply won't delete it. Delete button does nothing, 'hold' and 'resume' buttons grayed out. Is there some way I can delete it manually via the Finder?

  • How do you stop the report from printing prior to the page you want to print. seems like a waste of

I have an officejet 6500 E709 series printer.
I was wondering if there is a way to have it stop printing the report prior to my page printing.  it is wasting alot of ink.  Thanks

I think the printer doesn't do this on its own... which OS and apps are you using?

  • Parent not finished until children complete - stops new job from starting

Is there anyway that we can 'de-link' 'disassocaite' - some method that we can start a new job again - even though children of a previous job are still active.
This is causing quite a problem in our system whereby we need to start another background job of the same but the status is still active due to children...

Thank you Gerben, more useful insights.
I have had a respone from Simon whom is technical resource for CPS.
"What Gerben was suggesting was that you simply have multiple scheduled occurences of the same job, which wouldn't really work either since you could end up with at least two jobs running at the same time. e.g while you could schedule two jobs to run every ten minutes but stagger the start time so they are 5 mins apart you are still contrained by how long the whole process takes before another is scheduled.  If you add more jobs then the frequency of the jobs are likely to coincide with other jobs which could lead to duplicate postings (something that has already happened).
    Regards,
    Simon"
Edited by: Steve Coupland on Dec 2, 2010 7:38 PM
This question has now been answered...It looks very promising as a fix on the CPS side - as opposed to having to code an fix on the SAP end - which is the best solution for this particular problem. Thanks to all whom contributed.
Simon does point out an important fact that you actually will have multiple jobs running at the same time. But that is what you are looking for: you want to run the next job before the previous childs are finished.
To disable the fact that CPS waits for child jobs, you need to set (you may need to add it first) the parameter WAIT_FOR_CHILD_JOBS on your copy of SAP_AbapRun to "N".
So you can choose for each job if you want it to wait for child jobs. As Simon pointed out, for most cases you do, but in your particular situation you may want to deviate from the default behavior, and that can be done using the above mentioned parameter.

  • Stop HP reports from printing to save the earth & money

How can I delete the printing of reports after a print job on the HP Officejet 6700 Premium printer?  I consider this needless?

    Hi jay11,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
Please clarify what printing reports you are referring to.
I will be happy to help you.
When you print a document is the printer printing a alignment page each time?
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet.
Update the printer's firmware. HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One Printer - H711n Drivers.
Select your operating system, click next, click the link for firmware.
Do you mean the fax confirmations are printing after receiving a fax?
