Stop a season pass on AppleTV???

Hi,
I have a season pass for Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
I bought it on my AppleTV and it automatically downloads episodes to that device if I am logged into my account - if not it downloads to my Mac (if I recall correctly).
Is there anyway to stop it downloading to my AppleTV without needing to log out or unplug the device?
I don't want to turn on automatic downloads as all the Apple devices we have have mutiple users.
Cheers.

When you purchase a song from the iTunes Store, you're allowed to download it once. To play purchased music on a different computer, just copy the song files and authorize that computer.
This will tell you how

  • TS1424 season pass stopped downloading, how to restart?

My season pass stopped downloaded after three episodes. iTunes store recognizes I'm a season pass holder, recognizes that I have only downloaded 1-2, recognizes that episode 4 is available ... won't download. Any suggestions?

You have already purchased it, so don't worry about having to pay for it again. In the Mac App Store, go to the purcahses tab, select the Mountain Lion download, and either click the "X" or hit the delete button on your keyboard to remove it. Then, go back to the page that you originally bought Mountain Lion from, and download it again.

  • HT201272 stopping ITunes TV season passes

how do I stop season pass purchases from continuing?

for some reason, new episodes that are clearly available in the itunes store do not download straight away when subscribed with a season pass. seems to be a 12-24 hour delay. this is clearly against apple's own season passes FAQ, which states that "Once a new episode becomes available in the iTunes Store it will be available for you to download". This isn't happening, it's delayed, even when checking for available downloads. looking at other posts, this seems like a common problem recently.

"I see a new episode available on the iTunes Store but I've not yet received it.
Once a new episode becomes available in the iTunes Store it will be available for you to download. You can check if you have episodes awaiting download by going to the "Manage Passes" page. Or you can simply select "Check for Available Downloads" under the Store menu in iTunes 8 (or "Check for Purchases" under the Store menu in iTunes 7) to download any unavailable episodes. For Multi-Passes you should check that your Multi-Pass has not expired. This information is also available on the "Manage Passes" page."

  • Destiny Season Pass stopped working

I bought the season pass for Destiny about 2 months ago. Since then I have been able to fully do everything the Season Pass should let me do. When I went on today however, it said there was DLC required to play the DLC strikes and missons. I have proof of purchase to confirm I bought it. I'm on a PS4.

Psn maintenance is still going on. Check here https://status.playstation.com/en-us/
Try again when everything is back working .

  • ITunes TV Show Season Pass Issues - How is it working for you?

I love iTunes Season passes.  I love letting a show accumulate without worrying about storms, sports messing up recording times, power outages, storage of my DVR, etc...  The shows are always going to be there to watch.  However for well over a year ago Apple removed the new TV Show episodes from coming via the Check Available Downloads option.  Since then we have had a plethera of options presented to us.  However I continue to have mixed results.  I have tried using my Apple Care to get support.  But since its more like a cloud or iTunes issue, they send me to the web which is nothing but email support.  Email support suggests these 4 methods.  3 out of the 4 rarely work for me in a reliable or timely way.  I am looking for those who have the same issues/challenges and understand if you have found a better way or even a root cause why I am getting these results.
First method is using the email notifications you can turn on when you manage your season pases via iTunes Account inside the iTunes application.  You click the email link, it launches Safari, Safari launches iTunes, in a few seconds you get a "Cancel" or "Download" pop up in iTunes.  You click download and it will download the show.  You must repeat this for each email notification/show... daily.  It can be hap hazard as the notifications sometimes come at 2am and others throughout the next day.
Second method is going to iTunes store in iTunes, click on TV Shows, Click on Purchased... and there you can select "not on this computer" to see what episodes are new and not downloaded yet.  This is actually fairly straight forward and easier than the email links.  However I am having an issue where even though I have the notification, the show does not show up in my purchases.  If I switch over to "shows" vs "seasons" I see the episodes from all my email notifications.  But generally only the behind the scense have the icloud download icon.  (see attached screen shot) The work around is to go to the TV show page itself for that season, scroll and use the download button there for each new epiosde you have not downloaded.  This is probably now less optimal than the email.
Third method is to enable "show iTunes in the Cloud purchases" via iTunes Preferences.  I dread it evertime its suggested I try this.  When I enable this option, all shows and movies marked as "unwatched" get marked as "watched."  Right now, I have a large number of episodes unwatched right now.  So it would be ALOT to clean up to try it again.  When I have used this, its by far the easiest to use (besides the former retired "check for available downloads" option.  You just go to your TV Shows in your library, unwatched tab, and just click the download icons.  You dont even have to leave your library.  However there seems to be a bug.  I suspect it has something to do with my machine sleeping and the internet connection dropping and not re-establishing before iTunes is trying to reconnect.  The end result is the iTunes in the cloud preference disappears or gets completely reset.... and it totally messes with your unwatched and watched shows.  I have showed it to an Apple Care rep as they were connected to my machine.  They couldnt believe it.  So I would REALLY love to know if anyone has tried this method recently and NOT had these issues.  Its a good hour of work if it does not work cleaning up the after math.  So feedback would be welcome.
Fourth option is instead of downloading, stream it.  This is not my preferred method because I sometimes will rewatch an episode multipe times due to distractions from work, shool, or re-watching it later with a friend to catch them up.  Once I have it downloaded, the critial path is limited to my home network. However I never really have issues with long buffering and streaming because I have a 50mps up/downlink internet.  The issue I am running into this method is sometimes the newest episode is not showing up in AppleTV > TV Shows > Purchases > Recent for that TV Show and Season.  It will eventually make it there... but I am not sure what the secret sauce is for it to become available.
I am doing my best to keep this to a civil request for feedback from fellow users and fans of the TV Show Season Passes.  I would even welcome an Apple response.  I am currently trying to get iTunes support to look into these again.  But I keep getting looped into one of the four options with each email exchange.... even though I have already explain, provided screen shots, etc...  Its sort of exhausting when you are stuck with email as your only path to explain and help.  Especially when you spent the money on Apple Care.  Perhaps I need to just make an apppointment at my Apple store so I can SHOW them what happens.  But that is a pain to lug in a 27" iMac and a 6TB thunderbolt drive.  FEEDBACK welcome!

    Hi,
I'm having the same problem on Windows and Mac, neither automatically download episodes from any of my season passes, nor do they find it when I select "Check for available downloads,"  it informs me all episodes have been downloaded for my Apple ID, which in fact they have not.
I have to find the episode in my Library(which shows all available episodes on my computer and in the iTunes Store) and from there I have to manually click to download.  I tried deauthorizing all my computers and reauthorizing just one computer, and that didn't work either.  I also deleted my other device(iPad) from the "iTunes in the Cloud" just in case there was some issue associated with that, and that didn't work either.
It’s sad that the iTunes rep didn't really "listen" to what you said.  I find this happens at many other companies too.  They often are trying to fit your problem into some prepared script or solution, or they are distracted or in a hurry and don't actually read or listen fully to an even well defined account of the problem.
Best of luck to us all!  Hope they fixed it soon.

  • Downloading Season Pass Episodes one at a time

    Hi there,
I am pretty new to the itunes tv show experience.
I want to purchase a season pass for Greys Series 3 but would like to download the episodes a few at a time rather than all in one go. Is this possible to do? If so, how do I go about this.
Unfortunately I only have a measly 2gb monthly download limit at home so usually take my powerbook into the office and download from there. As a whole series can take many hours I would prefer to download in 'batches' if possible.
Obviously, there is the option to purchase episodes seperately but this would work out much more expensive.
    Any help very much appreciated.
    Thanks

First note that you need to have an account of the iTS that has TV Shows available for purchase - currently only the iTS USA has that option. To have an iTS USA account you will need to have a credit card and billing address in the USA.
Once you purchase the items - music, TV Shows etc - the items will be listed in the Store>Downloads - you will not see the Download tab unless there is something downloading. The d/l tab will indicate how many items total there are for d/l and they will be queued - usually three items will d/l at the same time. You can stop any item(s) from the being d/l by selecting the circle with the "||" or the 'pause' button at the bottom right.
You can restart the d/l later - iTunes menu>Store>Check for Purchases....

  • Upgraded to iTunes 10.2.1 and can't get new season pass episodes

After downloading and installing iTunes 10.2.1, I have stopped receiving emails for season passes. More frustrating is that even though I see that the most recent episodes are available in the iTunes store, iTunes is telling me that all purchases have been downloaded for this account. I checked my account settings and it still shows that I have season passes and that they are still active. Any ideas?

I am having the same issue. It tells me that I cannot download them but that they will be available later. But they should have all come on Friday/Saturday. Definitely a big bug with this as I have 4 season passes. What gives Apple????

  • Apple TV 2 isn't recognizing that I have a season pass after update.

I recently updated to the latest update on Apple TV.  I have a season pass to a show, but now my Apple TV 2 does not allow me to download episodes without paying for them again.  I am logged in with my apple ID, so that's not the problem.  I received am email saying that I had episodes available to download, but the instructions on the email are outdated (it wants me to choose the "download" setting, which doesn't exist.  I suppose I can just download the episode to my computer and connect that to my TV, but that completely defeats the purpose of having the AppleTV.  Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

  • Season Pass - Still active after the season is completed

Some time ago I purchased a pass for the first season of Breaking Bad.
After seven episodes the season was officially over.
However, the season pass remains active (it still is).
When I want to switch to a different iTunes store (different counry), iTunes tells me that it is not possible as long as I have active season passes.
Is a season pass supposed to expire/end automatically after the respective season is complete?
If it is supposed to be this way, how can I close/end my still active season pass.
Thank in advance for the help

    Hi Girish,
My bad, forgot to put all the required info in the post. Sorry about that.
Database 10.2.0.2.0 - enterprise, Linux OS. I have enough SGA (64gb), PGA, undo, temp tablespace space.
The select is a "normal" read only select that needs to read millions of blocks from data files. The main table is partitioned and the waits are on reading data from partitions. In v$session the main session and the child processes are marked as killed.
In v$lock I see that the wait is on db read scan. Everything is working. That's actually my issue.
Why it's still querying data/reading from disk when I killed all the sessions.
Doesn't Oracle stop the processes associated with a killed session?
    I killed the session: alter system kill session 'sid,serial';
Do you think "alter system disconnect session 'sid, serial' immediate" is better?
What I don't understand is how can I stop fast (ok I get that it can not happen in a few seconds) a query that is only read only that is running for too long. When I kill a session I was expecting the processes associated with it to stop. In a update/insert/delete, the server will wait for the rollback, but this is not changing data.
If you think more debug is necessary I will upload on Monday AWR and all the statistics I collected. I am not in the office now.
    Thanks,
    Daniel

  • ATV wont play season pass purchases

Just a few days ago my apple TV stopped playing the latest episodes of my season pass shows. I tried to reset the ATV and the router. I even tried a restore and new updates on the ATV. Nothing I have tried works. Its not a network issue as every single other app and movies play with out a problem. I have tried searching the forums for the fix and everything is from late last year or years past, but say the same thing, reset the ATV and router. Has anyone else be having a problem with this? I wanna try here before I even consider paying for tech support on an issue that I am leaning towards is on the Apple side of the house.

go to tv show.. go down to search and type in what show you want, it should work from there

  • How do I get my episodes from my season pass on my Apple TV?

Last week I purchases the season pass for Doctor Who Series 6, Pt 2 whereupon I immediately was able to download the first epsiode in the series. Right now, the second episode is available to purchase, but I cannot find a way to download the episode to my AppleTV. I have not received an email notification about the episode yet like I did with the first one. Does this mean that I have to wait for that email before I can watch the episode on my Apple TV? Even though the episode is available for others right now? If that is the case, then I am regretting my purchase of the season pass. Can someone please tell me I'm missing something here?

that's great and all, but is there a way to get it to stream straight from the cloud? I have the same problem, where we purchased the season pass on apple tv, got the first episode immediatly via stream (on the apple tv), itunes synced and downloaded it later that day. Now this week, I have to download it first to itunes and play it on the apple tv through the computer? Why can't I just stream it from the cloud like i can any other episode i've purchased?
Really, that's kinda inconvient and misleading, that the show isn't availible on the device that I originally purchased the show on. Will it ever be, or is the only way to watch a season pass purchase on the apple tv through home sharing via itunes?

  • Auto-download season pass TV show episode to Apple TV

Is there a way where I can set Apple TV to auto-download the latest episode of a TV show that I bought a season pass for?
The reason I need this is because, when I try to stream it, depending on the network speed, sometimes it takes a long time. So I have to set it to stream and then pause it in order to let it load up before playing it. I've noticed that network speed is much faster during the day when everyone is at work (so am I) so would love it if Apple TV downloads the latest episode and it is ready to play when I come home.

    patrix99 wrote:
But it must have some storage because I do play the episode, pause it to let it download at least halfway before I play it. So technically, it is not streaming it the way Netflix or Hulu does.
    Correct.
The black AppleTVs have 8GB of solid state memory.
Whereas Netflix adapts quality downwards for slower connections, iTunes purchases/rentals are fixed size and  quality for given resolutions (SD, 720p/1080p), so if your internet is slower than needed to play near instantly some/most/all of the movie will 'buffer' into that 8GB of memory, and the device calculates when enough has arrived to allow it to play without interruption.
The problem is that using AppleTV while a movie is buffering to do other things almost always flushes that buffe/downloaded portion without warning - forcing it to start from scratch when you decide to try to play.  The memory management is simply poor for slow connections -Apple assume everyone has fast/unlimited broadband.  The AppleTV1 was much better in this regard because it actually had proper storage and could hold several rentals.

  • Watch purchased TV season pass in iTunes

    Hello everybody,
I pucrhased a season pass for one of my favorite TV shows on our AppleTV. The only thing is that it doesn't seem to provide you with a method to watch it on your computers via iTunes. Is this just the way it is or should I purchase the Season pass on the computer and then it will allow me to download and watch from iTunes?
    Thank you for the feedback!
