why on God's earth do I now have to go through **** and high water just to view the size of my Itunes library???? it used to be conveniently placed at the bottom and as much as your products cost, convenience is a must. STOP MAKING THINGS THAT WERE EASY, HARD
Go to "My Music", click on View in the toolbar and click on "Hide Status Bar". It will change to Show Status Bar and the number of songs, time, byte usage will show up at the bottom of the page. I think "Hide" is the default in 12.
I agree that version 12 complicates things. 8-{

How do I stop pop up that asks me, Do you want to save changes to doc... before closing? I have made no changes only printed the file. Using Adobe Reader DC, Windows 7 64 bit.
This is very annoying and we need this stopped as we have made no changes to any of the adobe files. Please advise how to do this.
Customer Service DCCI first tried the version without the deflated stream (so everything uncompressed) against the online repair tool to check/analyse it @ https://www.pdf-tools.com/osa/repair.aspx
And it says no error found, but the reader still want to save it when closing so i still had no clue at this point.
Fortunately, i finally found what was wrong with my generated PDF.
In my xref table, each object reference was not end by a full EOL, i only did put a newline char.
Now i have "carriage return" "newline" which is the full EOL and the reader is happy and close the file silently.
As suspected i did not follow correctly the specs on xref table
Now i'll go and figure what i did wrong with the deflate filter

You cannot change to the US iTunes Store unless you move to the iTunes Store and get a US credit card or prepaid iTunes card. Are you indeed planning to move?

I just got my new i phone 5 s and did all the syncing and backing up for my old iphone 4s and set my 5 up and synced it on itunes. It synced evrything but the contacts and other minor things. those were the only things that really transfered. My apps and all my music did not. Tthe thing is when i just went to go manually start dowmloading a few of the songs that i knew i already bought , itunes is making me pay forthem again. Its not saying instal like it usuall does when you go download something aleady purchased on your itunes account. I think or thought it might have something to do with the fact that i just changed my apple id name right before i got my new phine but my apps all re-downloaded (manually-no syncing) without making me pay for them again. i dont want to have to purchase allllll my songs again. Can someone please help me!! Itried going back to my old id or signing out of this id and signing in as my old apple id but now it wot even get on that oneits likjeit doesnt exist anymore.. And when i plug my old phone it shows in the itunes everything thats supposed to be there but all that doesnt stay in the itunes when i actually un plug it so when i plug my 5 in to my computer none of the stuff is in the store for me to actually transfer it I am so good with technology and this has me stumped please help
No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that. -
How do i force itunes to re-scan my library for changes i have made to metadata and artwork ?
I have a large music library and until 3 months a go I thought it would be too hard to organise it. Thankfully there are some good programs that help with this process and I have made many changes to my files/itunes library.
One program is supported by iTunes but it still leaves me with the old genre catagories in numbers which iTunes seems to deal with automatically ? Pity it didn't change them automatically ? Anyway I'm still not sure what to do with them as I might have a catch 22 situation ? Please read on !
This program also doesn't make cover art changes more specific......for example less than 250kb + <1000x1000 pixels for iphone and no option for embedding & folder.jpg for my Sonos system.
So I needed to use other programs.....Right so now I'm getting to the point!
Now all my changes have been made, it is not so clear what is actually changed ? Some of it might only changed the info associated with the files according to my iTunes Library Database or some of it might actually of modified the actual metadata of the files on my hard drive.
What I want is for the metadata to be correct at the source AND then of course I want iTunes to have the same information too.
I think that whatever way I have been doing it HAS actually modified the files at source but I can't be sure.
What I do know is that the changes I have been making for the last week are not shown in iTunes until I play the track/album.
I have tried suggestions from forums to force a re-scan and none have worked.
I have tried add to library an album already in the album which is supposed to not make duplicates and just update the changes, this didn't work.
I have tried get info on my entire collection and change nothing then clicking OK but that didn't work.
I have tried get info and entering a comment field on just an album to test and it didn't work!
I would really like to know if there is a way to update the library & I would love to know if and how to get all my info in iTunes to be permanently reflected at the source.
Thanks in advance and thanks for listening ;-)I closed Itunes, went into the Itunes folder in Music and deleted the files ending in .itdb, .itl and .xml, then I re-opened Itunes and it had a button labeled 'scan for media'. I pressed it and Itunes rescanned everything, so my problem with music which I had deleted but Itunes still marked as 'not found' is gone. Maybe this will help you.
Btw, the thread is old, but it's the only one I found not archived and that refered to doing an Itunes library re-scan. -
ok, so my itouch 2nd gen starts up only to the apple logo but stops there with the loading thing that looks like a flower. it doesnt connect to my laptop either. it got unplugged while trying to restore it on my laptop and now its not rly working. any help? i alredy tried holding both buttons down like more than 100 times and it still doesnt work. so any solutions?

When opening Itunes, after placing my ID and password, I'm getting a message that indicates "Itunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working. Windows will close the program and will notify you if a solution is available. But I never get a response. Can somebody help?
Same exact thing with me. And no help from apple. Just dropped nearly $600 and cannot get a decent working setup.
Apple's only suggestion was to uninstall iTunes and Quicktime, and re-install... of course (the I.T. Crowd tactic).
The crash happens only on iTunes store access. -
I want to change my region and everytime it says my itunes match subscription is active. I disabled the auto renewal without any success!! I even called apple support that promised me to call within 2 hours, that was 10 days ago!! Any help??

Itunes 11.3, but this has happened for quite a while, several versions at least. Iphone 5, Ipad 2, this happens with both devices. I sync locally to my macbook pro (late 2011 version, running 10.9.4), using a wired connection.
I will have the 2 devices hooked up via the factory supplied cords. Doesn't actually matter if it's both or just one device. If I have, for instance, the iphone selected via the sidebar, and am displaying the Summary tab, normally you have a sync button to the lower right. Quite often, this will randomly change to two buttons, - Apply, Don't apply, as if I have made settings changes or something, although I haven't. No changes have been made. If I select a different device in the sidebar of itunes, a pop up will open asking me if I want to apply the changes? I say no, all is good. BUT - it's annoying!
Is there any way to make this stop?No-one? Am I the only one? I doubt it...

Well, what to say. Not so long ago i've bought my first iphone5 and at first i was glad to have it, but that feeling were lasting not so long.
I noticed many "+" like really good design and in some way simple using. I really really liked it before i faced some problems. On the second day i understand that such thing like radio service is absent, why?????????????????? I'm using my phone only for calls, messages and radio because of work. The only thing that Apple can offer is applications from AppStore or some huge gadget.....but dear Apple corp. before coming to our market you had to made some research and understand we still don't have special contracts for iphone from our mobile operators, if i'm using standart mobile plan than it's really tooo expensive, and also we have standart unlimmited mobile plan for internet only in name and even if we are choosing it than in a lot of places we simply don't have a signal of phone carrier or the speed is very very low....So i'm asking myself for some days already: should i use my iphone or should i sell it and find phone that really adaptable for my country?

ITunes video reloads itself when no selection changes have been made.
Various video content reloads itself on my devices (iPad Air 2, iPad 2, iPhone 5, and iPhone 4) even though no selection changes have been made (no additional video selected, or deleted) between syncs. This issue turns a sync operation that should take less than a minute into 30 minutes or more! Since this issue has manifested itself across multiple devices, the common factor being my MacBook Pro must be the bad link.
Updates of OS and iTunes have not been enough to repair whatever is wrong.... I hope someone has a simple correction. Apple Support at local store, on phone, and Apple Engineering have not been able to help.
I believe I might need to somehow remove iTunes at a minimum (maybe OS too) from my MacBook Pro and rebuild it with best hopes of this issue finally correcting itself. Does anyone know how to go about a clean removal installation of iTunes and/or OS? Any other suggestions?

iTunes 12.1.0.50eeek. there was a hassle with video podcasts and QT 7.0.4 where if a file was corrupted in just the right/wrong way it could crash itunes ... but i hadn't seen one crash an entire PC like that before. (i might have missed reports though.)
is it possible to identify which podcast seemed to be causing you the hassle? or does it seem to happen any time you download any podcast? -
I accidently erased all content on my ipad, (which my son had set up for me) now the only thing that is on the screen is a language portal, and some language I do not understand. I cannot change anything on the screen, HELP???

my ipod touch accidentally disconnected during sync, after that it wont sync at all. although it appears to be syncing on both the computer and ipod, it rushes through "determining which tracks to sync' step and no changes are actually made.i restarted both and reset the ipod. i checked to see that the computer recognizes the ipod (yes) and tried to sync over wifi with the same result...(i am afraid to retore to factory original beacuse the problem is about transferring from th computer itunes to the ipod)
There is no good way for yur problem since iTunes sees the iPOd. Yu can ry removing and reinstalling all the Apple software using:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
However, I suspect a restor, first try from backup, is required. -
When I click on any of my movie or TV shows in Itunes I immediately get an error message that says Itunes has stopped working and closes the program. I can sync the movies and shows to my phone okay but I can't watch on Itunes. Can anyone help?
