How to start and stop a queue in ECC??

Dear all,
I have a problem regarding the Start and Stop of queues in ECC. Whenever I change the data in ECC (for example extension of a material to a new distribution chain, or Creating a quotation which has to trigger a corresponding quotation in CRM), replication is not happening to CRM. On analysis of the outbound queue in ECC, we are finding corresponding ernties for the material / quotation. On dbl cliking an entry, we are able to see the queue in STOP status. When tried to reset status and activate, system throws a message saying GENERIC STOP SET.
1) How to overcome this problem?
2) How to START or STOP a queue (for Eg: R3AD*) in ECC?

I want to stop Bdoc "ATTRIB_MESSAGE" from ECC to CRM

Dear All,
The Bdoc "ATTRIB_MESSAGE" is successfully generation in smw01. When i goes to extract Bdoc message, it is showing the following table CABN,CAWN,CABNTCAWNT and CABNZ. I have not downloaded the middleware object "Attribute",still system is showing the "ATTRIB_MESSAGE" Bdoc message as confrimed(fully processed).
I want to stop the above Bdoc flow. Please suggest me.

Hi Ashvini,
Do you mean still you are getting deltas for attribute object? If these are old inbound queues with sysfail you can delete these queues from SMQ2.
otherwise make sure you have following entry created in ECC table CRMRFCPAR
User : CRM
Object Name : ATTRIBUTE
Destination : XXXXXXXX (CRM RFC destination)
Load Type : D
Discard data : X (Check box)

Stopping direct access to ECC

we have earlier created few users in the ECC clients and the consultants are accessing it directly , now we want them to acess the system using SOLMAN only ...
How can we stop the direct access to the ECC system , should we remove their login ID's from the ECC ..

Hi,
You can't remove their user IDs in ECC otherwise they won't be able to connect remotely using the Trusted RFC. What can be done in that case is to distribute the saplogon.ini and to prevent its modification. Then you just have to remove the entry for connecting your ECC to prevent users from doing it.
But whenever your SolMan will be down, the users won't be able to access the ECC...

I had already stopped it Transfer of SNP orders to OLTP system. I have selected No Transfer in SNP Tab. But i have not tried selecting No SNP Planned Orders as i thought No Transfer itself means No order should be transfered. Is there any other way to stop orders from the active version.

IDoc Data Lost between ECC and MII Message Listener.

We have recently experienced some network issues which caused the IDoc's to stop flowing outbound from ECC to MII Message Listener. This happened 3 times during a network switch reconfiguration. 2 of the three occasions the MII Message listener had to be restarted on the MII server in order to get data to flow again. Interestingly some of the IDocs that were generated during this outage time were processed by the message listener and some didn't.
We are running MII 12.0 sp11 and ECC 6.0. The ECC server and MII server are located in different geographic locations.
When we look at the ECC system in WE05 we see only sucessful status for the IDoc messages saying the Data passed to port OK.
When we check the Message listener on the MII end there it only shows processed successfully. There are no failed messages or messages without rules.
Where can I check further to see the IDocs that really didn't make it to be processed by the Message Listener on the MII server?
Also is it possible that these IDocs that got lost somewhere are still sitting on the ECC or MII servers somewhere where we can re-process them?
And the Last question is, Why didn't the Message Listener handle the network issue automatically instead of needing to restart it?

Did SAP ever respond/resolve the ticket you created for this issue? Someone told me that this was a known issue, but I have yet to have it verified by SAP. They asked me to simulate the issue - but our non-prod systems are on a VM server with other systems. So I can't exactly start pulling network cables out - I did drop it from the network a few time while sending IDOCs down - but this failed to hang the processing of the IDOCs.
We're hopefully going to MII 14/15 next year - but the business is keen to resolve this issue as it has impacted production a few times. The MII sites are in some remote regions and I don't think we can really improve the WAN links much further.
@Christian - thanks for the link, we don't really have an issue with IDOC's not being received, its just the message processing just hangs and we either need to restarted the services or sometimes the system.

Struck up with R3AD_* Queues in SMQ1(Outbound Queue in ECC Side)

I am using CRM Middleware for replicating business partner(BP) from CRM to ECC
and material from ECC to CRM.
BP and Materials are replicating well.
My Issue is,
while checking queues in SMQ1 (Outbound Queue in ECC Side), i am getting many queues are pending also
status as "SYSFAIL".
QUEUE Names are R3AD_000000123,R3AD_000000139,R3AD_000000141... R3AD_*,etc..
I tried to unlock the queues and activated, afterthat also queue status is "SYSFAIL". Then i checked in CRM side

Issue while inserting a BDC program in Inbound Proxy.JDBC-- PI-- SAP.

The scenerio is jdbcsender-sappi-inboundproxy(ECC6.0).
The issue is related to SAP Plant Maintenance Module where We have a requirement for creating Maintenance item
programmatically from (SQLDatabase)Legacy Data for one of the interface.
since there are no standard BAPIS/Idocs or function modules available from SAP side for creating the maintenance item. So I
have written BDC program and with the help of submit statement in inbound proxy program, I am calling BDC program for
creation of the maintenance item.
When I tested the program independently on proxy side the Maintenance Item is getting created successfully but when I
executed from end-to-end ie. SQLDATABASE->SAP PI-->SAP. The message is getting strucked into the queue and queue got stopped on SAP.
ECC side and the status of the message is scheduled state on SXMB_MONI transaction of SAP ECC.
As the message is in scheduled state multiple number of Maintenance Items are getting created with the same values.
Has any one of our SAP friends, encountered this type of issue while inserting a BDC program in inbound proxy, please help
in fixing this issue. FYI... I am using sap pi7.0 with service pack 24 and ecc6.0

Purchase order response(POR) in SRM

Hello SRM Experts,
We would like to implement Purchase order response(POR) functionality of SRM 5.0. The client requirement is to set POR flag at PO item level, expect POR from the vendor and no GR/IV should be allowed either in SRM or ECC until POR is provided by the vendor.
We have the following questions.
1. If POR flag is set, does it stop GR/IV either in SRM or ECC?
2. When POR is posted in SRM does POR flag is re-set in SRM?
3. When POR is created in SRM, does it create any follow-on docs in ECC.

Referring to your questions:
PO Response is just an acknowledgement document by the vendor to state that he is in agreement with the conditions set in the Purchase Order.
1) No GR/IV will not be stopped in SRM or ECC. If the client wants it that ways then I believe custom code needs to be written.
2) No...reason being you can create as many PO Responses as want for a given PO...the latest will be active and all the responses created before that are obsolete.
3) No follow on documents are created in ECC while creation of PO Response as after the PO Response changes are accepted in PO, only then the PO is replicated to ECC again with change version.

you can use collectors to hold back mass updates of master data and collect them. This will also help to minimize the packet size being sent to the Mobile Sites.

DW Side Work When the Sourcing System Gets Refreshed

Dear colleagues,
We currently have an ECC 6 Client as the sourcing system feeding data into our QAS BW 3.5 environment (basically Master data and very little transaction data at the moment). Due to the Master Data inconsistency of the sourcing client, it is decided to rebuild the ECC client plus complete Master Data reloading.
So, as a Basis person with limited BW knowledge, I am a little bit nervous from the BW side in terms of the procedure how to rebuild our QAS BW system. Here I have following questions for your experts:
1. Is there any standard procedure out there that I can follow in such a circumstance that I dont think is unique to us.
2. I believe I have to reload all the Master data once this has been done from the ECC side, do I have to delete all the Master data that have already been loaded into the BW and how should I do that?
3. With the very limited transaction data, will they be gone if I rerun the INIT process or I have to do things differently?

Not very sure about Refresh.
But this is what we follow when you go for an SP upgrade or maintenance on source.
As a standard procedure its better to drain all the deltas before going ahead. As a first step I think you will stop all transactions in ECC. Once done Start pulling delta loads repeatedly till it fetches zero records. then reschedule your V3 Jobs to a future date.
Then perform all this activities.
I dont think you have to delete MD as its overwritten the next time you load.
Is there a need for init if the previous init is still there?
Even in case you do I dont think you will lose any data. You always have an option of full repair to load any data from R3.

The Zoom r16 uses Mackie emulation mode when used as a control surface, something Garageband does not support. So on paper, the answer should be no.
However, if you have one, you might want to plug it in and try it out. Sometimes things do seem to work with GB even though they shouldn't.
However, GB has a kind of purposely funny protocol for use with control surfaces (perhaps to motivate people to upgrade to Logic if they wish to use any one of a number of standard control surfaces, as some have speculated).
One control surface made specifically for GB was M-Audio's iControl, although it's no longer made, but you could still likely find one on the internet.
