Stop log window from appearing instead of connection entry

Good afternoon all.
I have a install that has a preconfigured file in it. When the install has completed, the VPN dialer initiates with the log file as the default window instead of the connection entry window that most folk want. I recall a corrective action to this in the .pcf file, but I cannot remember exactly what it was. Can anyone send a link for this correction or is there a quick fix?

hello, this is usually caused by adware on your pc.
please run a scan of your system with [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner] & also manually check that you don't have any suspicious entries like 3rd-party-toolbars presently installed under ''firefox > addons > extensions'' (adware like babylon also might install some unwanted stuff that comes under the names "Browser Manager", "Browser Protector", "Bprotector", "Object Installer", etc.) or in the windows control panel > programs section.
afterwards install the search reset addon - it will revert the most common customziations those adware programs do in firefox back to the default: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchreset/

That is a bug, so you need to wait until this get fixed.

works ok on mine - (5, 7.1.1). Try again. with previews set to none, mine shows the sender and the subject line only. (you cannot get rid of the subject) with the other settings, you get the sender, subject line and however many lines you selected.

How to stop Firefox windows from rapid fire opening.

When trying to go from Pandora to iTunes to purchase a song... the first window to open is the preview window. No problem. BUT, when i try to go from that window to the iTunes store a cascade of FireFox windows start to open rapid fire w/ no stop. You either remove your Yahoo email address from the device or you turn of the 'Mail' option for that account under Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

If you have set up photo stream, this can't be done. As soon as you switch off photo stream on her device to keep your photos from coming to her device, you won't get any as well from her. Same for messages, you can't have both, sorry.
Maybe look into the family sharing feature if you want the photos to be shared:

How to stop concurrent programs from appearing in the SRS window ?

Hi All,
We have hundreds of custom concurrent programs registered under a custom application.
Except for 3 hidden programs (which will be submitted internally from another concurrent program), all the others should appear in the SRS window. Therefore, instead of individually registering each program in the request group, we have registered the application itself, in the request group.
However by doing this, the 3 hidden concurrent programs are also appearing in the SRS window. The concurrent program define form doesn’t allow us to uncheck the “show in SRS” checkbox if we have parameters define for a concurrent program.
Is there any way that we can prevent these hidden programs from appearing in the SRS window, in our case?

Create a new request group and add all but the 3 programs, using a PL/SQL script calling fnd_program.add_to_group.

If we assume it's some kind of malware, I suggest the following:

from creating a cmd.exe window when using javaw and
Runtime.exec()? No such cmd.exe window is created if
instead I run "java" from the command line.
I have a C++ server named "foo", and have created
a Java applcation with Swing GUI named "foo.java".
This GUI captures configuration information and
then uses Runtime.exec() to start the C++ app, with
a socket established between the Java app and C++
app for later communication.
This is all working fine, and the Java application
and GUI working as expected. When I run "java foo"
from either the NT command shell (cmd.exe) or MKS
Korn shell (sh.exe) the Java application/GUI starts,
and when it calls Runtime.exec() my C++ process is
started as what appears to be a child process of the
"java" process, that is, no cmd.exe window is created
during the Runtime.exec("foo.exe") call.
However, when running the same Java application from
a shortcut on the desktop via "javaw", when I invoke
Runtime.exec() a cmd.exe window is created before my
C++ server is started. While things are running
ok and my Java app can still communicate with my
C++ server, is there anyway I can prevent this
cmd.exe window from being created, and instead, have
my C++ server run as a child process of javaw (or
an independent process without a cmd.exe)?

cmd always opens a dos window - use another console interpreter instead or just call the programm directly.

According to bug number 4244515 in Sun's Bug Parade (http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4244515.html), javaw doesn't always work without bringing up new window.

Are you passing your error cluster through to a Simple Error Handler VI (the last function to execute on your block diagram?)
When your custom error is flagged, is it prompting the dialog box each time?
If this is the case, you can set the 'type of dialog' input, as a constant. You set this constant as 'no dialog', from the five options available.
The next time you run your code, the pop up dialog won't appear and you will be able to handle your errors programmatically, instead of through the dialog box.

How can I stop disc images from popping up when connecting a drive?

Hello,
I have an external hard drive with several partitions, all formatted as Mac OS Extended. Two of the partitions are disc images of the install CD's for Drive Genius and Data Rescue from Prosoft Engineering. When I connect the drive using a FW800 cable to any Mac running Leopard or Snow Leopard, all of the partitions on the drive are mounted in the Finder and these two partitions pop up the window for the installer, as if I had inserted the CD. Is there a way to suppress these windows from popping up every time I connect the drive? Thank you!

Is there any way to stop these error dialogs from appearing?
They appear on multiple websites and even if I dismiss the dialog a new one pops up every few minutes I am there.
Don't get me wrong - I like that it blocks these kind of things and I want it to continue to do so, I just wish there was a way for it to do it silently.

How can I stop inactive browser or window from dimming itself while I am working on other application?
This feature is like HazeOver before OSX Lion, and now it seems it is implemented in LION and MT LION.
It is very very annoying and reduces productivity~
I need to be able to view references on browser or youtube clips while I am working on other applications such as WORD or PhotoShop~
But OSX just dim the browser when I am putting them at the background.
Please APPLE~ fix this or at least give users a choice to turn this stupid feature OFF!!

I solved the proboem. It turnes out to be my own problem.
I installed APP TAMER long time ago, and that is the program which causes the dimming problem.
If anybody else has the same problem, goto APP TAMER's perferances and turn off dim window...

Stop Extension Manager from appearing - Silent Install CS6

My apologies if this is already answered somewhere but I didn't find it in Search. I used AAMEE to package a silent install of Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium for distribution through SCCM. Package created correctly and the silent install works--until the very end, at which point Extension Manager opens. This is undesirable behavior, as we want the application install to be completely transparent and don't want Extension Manager to appear at the end. How exactly do I stop this from appearing? Thanks! Installing 64-bit version on Win7, though I'll also be packaging a 32-bit version for XP SP3.

Hi cjmuller79. I had the same problem when packaging Flash but a fix has been posted that should resolve this.

I think the fix is listed at http://www.adobe.com/support/flash/downloads.html - from what I saw in the prior post you have to manually add the zip file. Please try it and let us know if it works for you as well.

JDeveloper Log Window wont appear

We are working with JDeveloper 10.1.3.2 and recently we have detected that the Log Window is missing, we cant get it pressing the View Menu and the Log option.
The window wont just appear and it really looks a bug because when we press the Log option the whole application looses focus. Do you know a workaround to get this to work.

Search for a file named windowinglayout.xml and see if the Logwindow coordinates are out of range ( less than 0 ) .
