Stop looking for similar table cells

How do I get Pages to stop displaying a drop down list with similar text every time I try to enter text into Table cells. I'm logging video interviews so every time I type a question is usually starts with What or why and I have to wait for Pages to display every sentence I've typed into the cells that started with What or Why? What is the deal??

Go to Pages > Preferences > General & uncheck "Show auto-completion list" (it's at the bottom of the third section of the preferences).

First, let me freely and proudly confess. I do not use Adobe products to earn my living. I'm a retired military guy within six months of qualifying for social security. I'm not likely to matter in anyway within Adobe's marketing schemes.
I started using Photoshop way back on Windows 3. I started using Indesign when Quark was the darling of printing shops. I switched to Dreamweaver after less than happy experiences with competing software . . . and HTML5 wasn't even a blip in the common imagination. Now, I own Creative Suite Master Collection 6.
Many of us purchased Adobe software which they abandoned within a year or two or three. That's on us. Didn't think Creative Suites would be another one. That's on me.
I'm an economic non-entity. I know that. I use Adobe software, when the opportunity arises, to support nonprofits.
Whether or not I switch--is that an upgrade?--to "Creative Cloud" doesn't matter.
The writing was on the wall when Adobe stopped publishing print manuals. They must have eliminated a host of printing and distribution costs with that move. Now, they seem to have eliminated the cost of publishing and distributing DVDs. Sound move . . . from a CFO's point of view, I would think.
Doesn't mean I won't switch/upgrade to the "Creative Cloud." Since I normally upgrade at the issue of each new version, I'm still weighing the benefits/cost to an old guy who goes back almost to Photoshop 1.0. I just don't buy the hype that Adobe implements this model for the benefit of all their old and potential customers.
I just don't know.
Maybe I'll try it out for a year. Or, not.

How to look for the Table Name

Sometimes we need to download the table for the desired information if the same is not available from a particular report. How to look for the table name? Is there a report or a particular feild, where we can find the name of the particular table?

Hi Friend,
If you want to see the structures then go to SE11. Sometimes it happens that you cannot find the table names but only fields. In such case, if you want to find the Table names which is not available, then go to SE90.
Abap Dictionary > Fields > Table Fields.
Now Enter the Field name in Right Hand Side of the screen then Execute. You will see the all tables by which that Fields are used.

How do I get Logic to stop looking for a specific .wav file?

I recently imported a project I started in GarageBand into Logic Pro. Once in Logic, I edited and added to the project then saved it as a Logic project file. I deleted the original project from GarageBand. Now, when I open the Logic file, Logic is still looking for .wav files that were used in the original GarageBand file. None of these files are actually needed in my project. Is there a way that I can get Logic to stop looking for these .wav files?

What is NetAuthAgent and how can I get it to stop looking for the unnamed file?

Since the last Mountain Lion update on my MacBook Pro, I get this error message every few minutes:

If streaming music when connected to your carrier's cellular network, it uses cellular data.
Only the music you purchased from the iTunes Store can be streamed unless you have purchased iTunes Match.
If there is a slow down at the server where the music is stored or high traffic, steaming can be paused. You can also download a song from the iTunes Store cloud to your iPhone so it doesn't need to be steamed.

You do have to unmount any Network Drives when/before moving to another location.
I'm thinking the APPs that don't work right have some pref on the non-existing network drive/cpu, for instance, if they automatically open the last doc used.

Mac email account wont stop looking for new mails.

Just recently and out of the bloom my .mac email account started acting up doing two things:
1. It fails to receive some emails (I get some, but other I just don't. It appears to be random). I've had several people tell me they've emailed be but I've have nothing in my inbox, neither on my mac nor on mobileme.
2. The same .mac (just to clarify I have a @mac.com account not @me.com) account does not stop looking for new emails. That little circles that goes around when you hit the get mail button; it wont stop circling.
I've deleted the account from my computer twice and both problems are still occurring.
This started just last week. I've never had any problem before that. I'm not running out of allocated space; I've already checked that.
Please Help. Bothe problems are pretty annoying (specially not getting emails.

Just to clarify the point. You do have a .me account. The .mac is just an alias now for .me
Maybe you should set up the account as [email protected] and see if that improves the reliablity.

Looking for System Tables / Views like in Oracle DB - user_constraints, user_tab_columns, ...

I'm looking for system tables or views like in the Oracle Database.
First I'm looking for running /active sessions - like v$sessions or in an RAC environment gv$session
And get the corresponding SQL from v$sql
Second I had problems to drop tables due to constraints.
Therefore I was looking for dba_constraints, all_constraints or user_constraints
select * from user_constraints WHERE constraint_type in ('R');
With that information I'm able to generate a script to drop the constraints.
Third I want quick lookup about data types used in a table to correct my settings in Oracle BI.
For example which column in which table of my schema uses the datatype BIGINT.
If only 3 attributes in two tables out of 100 use the BIGINT datatype - I'm able to quickly change my settings in the OBIEE repository.
I'm missing a table like user_tab_columns.
How can I get the same information out of TimesTen ?

Hi Thorsten,
You should be able to get some of the information that you want from the TimesTen reports that are in SQL Developer.
e.g.
<TimesTen Reports -> Table -> Columns -> Columns> returns a listing of all the columns and their data types. You can order by the data type column or add a filter (say ='TT_BIGINT') to restrict the result set.
<TimesTen Reports -> Table -> Constraints -> All Constraints / FK Constraints / PK Constraints / Unique Constraints> returns a listing of all the constraints, their name, the table that the constraints are on, and their properties.
For all the SQL Developer reports, you will be able to see the underlying queries and the TimesTen system tables/ views that they reference.

Migration Assistant on MB Pro never stops looking for the PB G4 with Panthe

Hi,
I bought a Macbook Pro 13 inch to add to my PB G4 12 inch running OS X 10.3.9. When I selected migrate data from another Mac and tried to follow the instructions for migrating over airport it doesn't work.
I installed the update for airport sharing from the MBP's dvd and the old PB connects to the MBP but the MBP never stops "looking for computers".
I've also tried connecting through my router's network and with an ethernet cable.
I don't yet have a cable that can do Firewire 800 to Firewire 400. (I never realized the ports were different )
I tried turning off the firewall on the PB G4, turning on Appletalk on both Macs. Some articles talk about turning on Bonjour (can't find that on the new Mac and on the old one I think it's called rendezvous for iChat.)

I make a habit of missing ads by not watching TV, not readng the newspaper, listening to NPR and using AdBlocker in Firefox. However, thanks for updating my information. I use Mactracker for info, but apparently they have not yet updated their data.
at this point I can't get either computer to even recognize the other one even when both are connected to each other by airport computer to computer network or through the router. I don't know if they're seeing each other when directly connected by ethernet.
Are you using FileSharing in System Preferences? I don't do much networking so I may not be up on the technology, but when I have used it I set up FileSharing on both computers.
I loathe having to reset all my internet connections and I was hoping to avoid having to do the manual drag and copy
I was advised, when I was in your situation, that Migration Assistant is not the most effective way to update the new computer. Take a look at the advice I got in this thread.

How to stop editing in a table cell

i m using JTextArea as renderer and editor for table cell. While editing i want to stop editing in that cell at some perticular instance. i have used stopCellEditing() function on TableCellEditor but still the Caret does not goes away and when i press any key it still types that character at that place. I want to hide the Caret and do not want any character to print in the cell after calling stopCellEditing().

Looking for a table (PO)

i am programming smartforms and got stuck programming because i can't find the table and the field i am looking for.
In a purchase order on the item level there is a
delivery address (which can also be changed manually).
What i would like to know is in which table this address can be found. (and what the field is called)

Go to EKPO and get EKPO-ADRNR.
Pass the EKPO-ADRNR number in the table ADRC.
This will provide the address details.

Looking for idoc tables.

Hello,
I am looking for a list of tables where idoc details are stored.
I know about tables EDIDC and EDID4. But they have header data and segment name data.
There should be few other tables that store the data that's in the segments fields.
say for ex. Material number or other material attributes in Matmas idocs.
Which table holds those detais?
Would appreciate anyones help pl.?

The Data is stored in the table EDID4 under application data. YOu can see that only when you increase the width of output to 1000. The Application data is stored as a cluster rather than single fields
The data is stored only in structures of segments at filed level. But this may not be retreivable.

Why do you need to hyperlink the *cell*?
If you put a normal hyperlink in the cell, and use CSS to
make that <a> tag
display:block, then it will fill the cell, and make the whole
thing
clickable. Further it allows you to use the pseudo-class of
a:hover to
change the background color....

Server crashed. How do I reset iPads so they stop looking for the server?

I was using the OSX Server app on an old Mac Mini when it crashed. A cart of iPads had been set up to use Profile Manager with the Device Enrollment Program part of Apple Mobile Deployment. I have deleted the server from the Device Enrollment Program, but my iPads are stuck in set up looking for the server. I am willing to put them back in Configurator at this point, but Configurator will not recognize them. Help!

Too many authentication failures for USER
usually means the password is wrong, or the ssh certificate is not accepted or not acceptable. Or that you might possibly have tried a large number of different logins, and bumped into MaxAuthTries.
Try an ssh from the client into the target box with the -vvv switch (and the proper target port, if you're not using 22 here), and see if you can duplicate the error. The -vvv turns on gonzo logging. Depending on what's going on, you might also have to turn on logging in sshd. That's usually a configuration file option within the context of the daemon.
For grins, I'd also check DNS services on both the client and the server; use sudo changeip -checkhostname on the server, and dig +short www.example.com (substitute the FQDN of the server) on the client.
