Stop mobile devices from connecting via anyconnect

I have Anyconnect Essentials + the mobile license. I dont want mobile devices (like iPhones) connecting to my ASA just yet but may in the future. I know I can remove the mobile license but is there another way. (DAP will not work as I would need premium license)

You can solve that with DAP. The Essentials- and Mobile-license can be used to identify the mobile devices. You just can't identify the regular OS without the proper license (premium and hostscan).

The me.com website is not designed for or intended to be accessed by iOS devices. Apple provides support in iOS or seperate Apps for accessing all aspects of MobileMe except for the Accounts section.
Use MobielMe as intended and you'll have no problems.

Even if you use a different browser to get access to me.com on iOS, you'll find most of it is unusable.
Other websites that present you with the mobile version have been programmed to do so by their developers. They specifically look for users accessing from 'mobile' devices and switch to the mobile site. Many such sites provide a link to go back to the 'full' site, if not, there's not a lot you can do except use a browser that can pretend not to be a mobile browser.

As suggested in another discussion area, (AirPort), I reset the AEBS to factory defaults. On the TV, I went to >Settings>General>Network>Configure Wireless>Wireless Networks. I could then see the generic "Apple Network xxxxx" on the TV. From my MacBookPro, I verified that I could connect to the TV by launching iTunes and noting that the TV was now visible in the "Devices" menu. Went back to the AEBS and ran through the "Setup" routine. I did NOT use the "Previous Settings" but instead, saved the old settings profile, created a new wireless network and new settings profile and enabled WPA2 Personal encryption. I then went back to the TV and went through the "Settings" routine again (as noted above). This time, after entering my WPA2 password, the TV connected to the network and problem was solved. Hi! My iMac 27" isn't going in sleepmode, when an iOS-device is connected via usb for charging. "HandleUSBMuxDictionary client 0x101803420-iTunes/com.apple.iTunes using library usbmuxd-211 built on Jan 13 2011 at 04:19:31, running usbmuxd-211 built on Jan 13 2011 at 04:20:21" is the entry that shows up in console.
Does anybody know, what that means and what I can do to get my sleepmode back?

thx for your reply.
It would be a way to use a charger instead of the iMac (I already do so), but then I have to go two ways, one for syncing and one for charging. I don't think, that this was Apples intention. The ease of use is "a part" of their products and going these two ways instead of one can't be something Apple wants.
So I hope, that either there is another way or there will be an update for iTunes to fix this.

Macbook loses wifi, prevents other devices from connecting too.

Hi guys
I have a strange problem whereby my macbook seems to lose its wifi connection, and prevent all other devices from connecting to wi fi either.
its very odd as the router still shows up in available networks with full signal, but I cannot connect to it and neither any other device, including ipads, mobile phones and various other windows laptops.
This can only be fixed by restarting the router, which is a pain as its tucked away upstairs!
I know its my macbook casuing the problem and not the router as the problem didn't exist until I came home from uni, and it hasn't happened at all over the last two weeks while my laptop was away getting a new battery. Today I got the macbook back and the problem has returned! More than a coincidence me thinks!
This can happen three or four times an evening and is very frustrating, especially for the rest of my family!
Once I have restarted the router the connection normally comes back, however sometimes I get an exclamation over the wifi logo in the menu bar, saying no internet connection.
My macbook is a aluminium 2ghz core 2 duo running OSX Lion with all the most recent updates, and the router is a BT homehub 2.0.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated!

I have had this problem after my (work provided) 2008 macbook was updated to mountain lion. I have tried all the suggested fixes with some success, resetting PRAM has occasionally sorted this out, deleting the wifi and then re-starting and restoring works, but is very tedious to do every time you need a connection!!
A further wifi problem caused by the update was the loss of access to passwords in keychain- checking the 'access by all applications' box in keychain preferences helped reconnection too.
The tip I wanted to pass on is this-
If you are having these problems, and resetting the wifi has sorted it out, turn off the wifi Every Time before you shut down the machine. This simple action seems to allow the mac to keep it's settings intact, and it can be turned on again without any problems the next time you boot the macine up.
The connection problems can't be hardware- this machine is as fast and stable as the new retina mackbookPro it sits beside- when it can see the signal......

And is there any way to send alert through Sybase Server without creating its MBO ?

well, if I would have to do that..... I would at least need Sybase to keep development low. at the end you do not really need Sybase for this... but without SUP development effort is really high.
Okay, in short:
each device has its wn dedicated listener concept for push messages. This is platform dependend and you need to develop a native solution for this. It is possible, but it takes some time.
If you want to be native, with Sybase you get this more or less for free. Issue here: Sybase does only support push notifications out of the box in the most complex scenario: therefore you need SAP backend, Netweaver Mobile Middleware, SUP and connect NW Mobile and SUP by ESDMA file. This gives you push from backend to device for free on nearly all plattforms out of the box.
So at the end the first question qould be: how much do you want to develop?
Or is it wnough for you to have SUP workflow? Benefit on Workflow: development effort is low, works out of the box, is multi plattform - but like every sunshine there is some shadow - performance of this approach is not really nice. Anyway, it could solve your issue: you receive an eMail in your device, this opens the workflow app and you can accept or decline for example a travel request.

you can get this info from the useragent header info that most web browser include in there http header. Here is some more info in the case of BlackBerry.

You will probably need to create a custom RBAC role with only the appropriate permissions. You'll need something with more rights than a simple Recipient Admin but less extensive than an Organization Admin.

Yes, it is for wiping the devices (not for removing them from a mailbox) but the general procedure should be the same. I imagine you'll have to experiment a little to obtain the right combination.

The bottom line is that I'll stay away from apple, because they basically make it so the devices control you, and you don't control the devices. I've even jail broken to try and fix this. I need my USB drives to work as they have many folders. Formatting doesn't work, so it is definetly down to the software and it's restrictions.

The camera connection kit is to be used to connect a camera or an SD card and transfer photos/video. You can't fault them for something that happened to work and doesn't any longer. There are drives like the seagate available if you need access to extra storage

Hi Louis, my name is Johnnatan and I am part of the Small business Support community. You can´t block any device by the name, however you can block devices using it mac-address. Go Firewall> Access Control>Mac Filtering in this section you can specify the mac address of the devices and block them.
