Stop motion chroma screen problem for multi frames

I am trying to use green screen for stop motion movies and I do know how to set it for each frame but how do you get all the frames to accept a single back ground picture at once? I have to insert the effect one at a time into each frame. I cannot use "select all" and then insert...the option will only work on single frames which for hundreds of frames is very time consumming. Is there a batch frames work around?

Just remember that doing the Paste Attributes will add ALL the effects from the copied clip to ALL of the selected clips. Any effects already applied to those clips will still remain expect for Adjust, Motion or Opacity keyframes, those will be overwritten.
Best to practice on one or two clips to see what the results will be before doing a large group of them.

Any 3rd party utilities that fix full screen mode for multi-monitor users?

I am a multi-monitor user. As multi-monitor users know, full screen mode is basically useless since if you try to go full screen on one monitor, it causes the other monitor to go blank and become unusable (at least with most programs). Are there any 3rd party utitilities or fixes for this?

Spaces, which is what this functionality stems from, was limited in that it used your entire setup and switched all of the screens over; space to space. I never used spaces because I always had multiple monitors and I was always working with multiple apps simultaneously that I wanted to be able to reference while working on the others.
Now they call Spaces, "mission control" and changed the appearance of it, but the functionality remained the same, each workstation comprised all of your monitors, and would switch over all of them when switching to a new "Desktop".
Fullscreen apps wrongly assumes that it can take the functionality of the afformentioned MS/Spaces and use it for one app, negating the whole idea of why someone would have multiple screens (real estate to work with other applications).
If they stop considering multiple monitors as one Workspace, they can then make it so they are asynchronous "tablets" instead of one conjoined entity.
So, you say people have been asking about this for 2 years, I've been asking for this for 5!
The issue here is, the only answer is to not use it. Making Mission Control and Fullscreen apps completely ignored by people like us, where I could be using both functions to glide around my work station and three monitors, mixing and matching which apps I want to be viewed on each separate monitor, to perform one single task; together.
It would actually reward people who wanted to utilize Thunderbolt technology and have more then one monitor.
There is no telling why apple chose to push out something that would only support the casual user, with one display, but the only direct way to let apple know that we feel limited by the OS is to send feedback. Even though it seems that we are powerless in this situation, I hope that they do consider how to make this function better.

IOS7.0.3 Reduce Motion fixes the problem for some, but goes too far.

In the past, reduce motion would disable the parallax effect, which is basically when the wallpaper shifts back and forth as you tilt the screen. This parallax effect was rather pointless to have, but it was pretty big on draining battery (I noticed around 10-20% longer battery life after turning Reduce Motion on).
Now, reduce motion not only disables the parallax effect, but all the zooming motions as you open apps or folders. The problem with this is that some people, such as myself, really enjoy those zooming motions. However, the parallax effect (wallpaper shifting) was pretty pointless and not too noticeable, so turning that off was fine.
I would like to have the option to turn specific things off. For example, an on-or-off button for the parallax effect. A separate on-or-off button for zooming motions when you open apps and folders. That way, I can still have the iOS motion I love, and save that much battery power at the same time. I don't really like the smooth overlay transition, it's not as exciting and it feels too much like Droid OS.

Unexplainable Screen Problems for my iPhone 3G

I have had my phone for more than a year. The other day I woke up to use it and in the upper right corner there was a series of dots on the screen. (I did not drop the phone recently, I did drop it a couple of times a couple of months prior, but at least 4 months from a drop and this problem). I tried to power-off and restart. When I did, in addition to the dots there was a line streaking from right to left about a 1/4 inc. long. I used the phone a usual for the rest of the day. Overnight the battery died and I recharged it. When the power came back on, I had the dots, the line and another line. After two more days, I have four lines and the series of dots.
Has this happened to anyone? Does anyone know the cause? And most importantly, does anyone know how to fix it?

thanks for your answer brad, you know, i tried restored the firmware, but, itunes, showed me a windows with error 1015, then i looked for a older release , and i download it to my iphone, and everything is the same than before. I made the reset, and then i tried with the restor.
If you think that may be, i can use a firmware in particular please let me know.
And if the problem is the digitalizer... you think that with the firmaware upgrade everything must work fine?

Going through the feedback and support pages will be a waste of your time. Apple won't respond to feedback, and support can't do anything regarding product suggestions, particularly not from a company with an existing product they wish to sell. The only attention you might get from Apple would be possible interest in selling your product through the Apple Stores, and I don't know how Apple chooses the third-party products they sell. All I could suggest would be writing to Apple's corporate headquarters:

Imovie frame speed adjustment for stop motion

Now I'm on imovie 10.0.6, I can't seem to get the software to let me adjust my frame speed.
I'm working with stills, that I want to edit into a stop motion piece for some of the film, and show other images as stills for other sections.
The speed editor is greyed out, as is the FF option. Also, the duration is showing in seconds, where as in old imovie i would go into the preferences to show frames per second.
Any one overcome this issue and can help how I get the functionality I need?

your workflow is - sorry to say that - a bit ... inconvenient
the usual workflow is: record using some plain green or blue background, create matte/key new background in, color-process video.
'matting by hand' skips 50 years of video-processing ...
you can accomplish that with iMovie, Motion or FCPX. iM and FCPX come with a bundle of 'presets' which allow similar coloring/contrasting/de-saturation as pixlr. FCPX for sure allows much more, in detail manual manipulations of color, although the 'video' tab in iMovie11 offers enough 'knobs' to create the few looks pixlr offers. Motion wouldn't be my first choice, as the app's name implies, it is basicly not meant for such simple color-corrections.

Stop-Motion sticking after 21 frames

Hi,
I teaching my art class stop motion animation at the moment, in the past I have had no problems with imovie, but this year 2 students are experiencing their movie sticking after 21 frames. The movie looks as if it continues to play until the end but the picture pauses on frame 21. Does anyone have any idea what causes this?

The things you are talking about doing sound better-suited for a video editing program like Premiere. After Effects is not intended to edit video.
That being said, if you want to use After Effects for its compositing and motion graphics capabilities, you should really start here: http://adobe.ly/AE_basics
You've already been confused by how playback works and there are many more little things that will frustrate you if you don't get a good, solid foundation in how to use the software.
And, for forum readers of the future who may have a similar question, you initiate a RAM preview by pressing 0 on your number pad. More info about previewing video and audio here and in the link I gave earlier.
If you want to make a frame last longer, you could use Time Remapping on an image sequence or a composition that contains your stills instead of trying to move layers around by hand.
Now, to your issue of it not playing everything, is your composition long enough? If it is, but it's just not RAM previewing the whole thing, read this.

Chrome White Screen Problem

Thanks for reading - I really don't know where to go with this problem. I have searched and googled but can't seem to find a good answer. Problem is intermittant but applicable specifically to chrome browser loading the site I am developing.

Should bring up a login when you go to that site. However in Chrome It seems to be loading something and then I just get a blank white screen. Sometimes it loads but if you then hit refresh it will bring you to a blank white screen instead of reloading.
Also interestingly if you are staring at the white screen, if you double click, click drag click around alot on the page it will come up kind of like its there but not being displayed.
this problem only displayed in Chrome -- IE, Firefox, safarii etc. all OK.
any ideas welcome. Perhaps my HTML is bad? I can't believe that because when I use the raw-HTML output from a publish in CS5 It is still giving me this behavior? Also others have had this problem with my site so it isn't just my browser/computer combo.
What can I do?

Just incase someone else is having this problem. The solution is to use Javascript option to do your loading of SWF. For example I was just using a flat <object> embeded in HTML which was giving me problems. You can check "check Flash player version" under HTML publish options and this changes the output to a javascript version, which depends on swfobject.js (generated by flash). Using this mode, I now no longer have this white screen problem.

Problem with stop motion film

I want to make a stop motion movie. But when I upload the pictures imovie automatically makes them "zoom in". instead of each picture just shwoing it zzoms in and out of each one which looks stupid when you're trying ot make a stop motion.
HELP?!

Go to FILE/PROJECT PROPERTIES and change the default action for your project. It is currently set to Ken Burns. Change it to FIT (letterbox) or CROP (will fill the screen by cropping your photo.)
This will work for new photos you bring into the project. For photos already their, use the Rotate, Crop, Ken Burns Tool and select FIT or CROP.

Stop Motion for Final Cut?

I'm a stop motion animator and I am having the worst time ever trying to capture my frame by frame animated work in final cut pro. Every time I try to capture now, it will capture a little bit of the footage but once the animation starts (which i did stop, record, stop, record as fast as I could on my camera) it will stop capturing and say "searching for media" what am I doing wrong?

Please detail your workflow...
-What format is the media?
-What cam/deck are you capturing from?
-Is the animation already single frames on the media, or multiple clips of short segments?
-How did you acquire the animation on your media...in camera, exported out of another program?...etc
-If in camera, how did you achieve single frames...is that a camera setting? (some cams have this feature, others don't)
Have you tried Capture Now, using non-controllable device? (doing this will create new timecode, so you may not want to do it that way)

I just upped my VM ot 12gb (I have 8gb mem.
When I create a new project I give it a name, it then does regular saves automatically. With a stop motion project I noticed that does not seem to happen and if I do save as, it automatically erases the previous file or at least 0's out the file to 0kb.
how can I rescue this file. its a 4 minutes of non repeatable stop motion.......ugh
In the future what is the max number of pics per second I should be taking? I had it set to .25 of a second -4 per second
I am not a seasoned premiere user please use simple terms! It took me a week how to work out using opacity....

Looking for a free stop motion software for my Macbook Pro?

Sorry if this is in the wrong category; I am new here.
I'm currently working on a 40 minute stop motion film. I've experimented with various stop motion apps, but none of them fit what I need. I'm making the film in 9 parts, and I want to be able to export each video as a .mov file and later import into FCPX to make edits and combine everything. I have the audio completely recorded and I plan to take the pictures using my Macbook Pro's built-in webcam. (This film doesn't need to be very fancy; it's for my family.)
I'm looking for something free (not a free trial) and without a watermark. Each of the 9 parts is inbetween 3-8 minutes. What do you recommend?

You can do it, but are you prepared to spend? it won't be cheap. It may be cheaper than I thought.
You will need a projector with an HDMI input, and you will need a method of transmitting the HDMI signal, complete with all ancillary protocols (so HDMI 1.2 at least, 1.4 is safer) via wireless. That means way more bandwidth than 2.4 or 5G wireless can offer.
I have had success with the TruLink 60Ghz WirelessHD transmitter/receiver, 30ft range (20 is more 'real world') 1 hdmi in and 1 hdmi out, so they replace the cable. Last pair I bought were $600, but I just saw that Amazon have them available at $141 ....
However these are line of sight devices, no motion and no obstruction between the pair or fuzzzzzz

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

as part of a project i have been tasked with producing a stop motion
in Regards to editing such a project is it possible to edit within primer pro
and slow the frame rate down ???

If you already have a video you want to work from, you can also make a stop-motion from that without too much trouble.
1. Put your video into a sequence
2. Place a marker at each frame you want in the stop-motion
3. In the program monitor export a frame at each marker, be sure to check the import into project box
4. Select all the exported frames, right-click and set the duration you want for each
5. Create stop-motion sequence from the selected frames
