Stop .mov file displaying before fully loaded

I have several Quicktime files generated using Keynote '09 that are embedded in HTML. They work fine and are not too big (all under 10mb). They are set up as slideshows and use hyperlinks to move forwards and backwards. They do not use the Quicktime controller.
What I want to do is to somehow (and I'm not fussy how!) stop the viewer using the links before the files fully download. The reason for this is that using the links before the file has downloaded produces some strange behaviours. For example, if you click the forward button on the first frame before the file downloads it goes to the second frame then back again, then forwards to the second frame and so on—it sort of gets stuck in a loop.
I am a very new Quicktime user and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Movie plays before fully loaded although preloader is set to 100%

Hello,
I have a Captivate swf (ca. 4 MB) to be published online. The default swf preloader is set to 100%. However, when the first screen appears and I immediately click on a link that points to a slide close to the end of the movie, the link doesn't work properly. Only after waiting a certain amount of time the link works, indicating that the swf hasn't fully loaded when the first screen appears.
How can I make sure that the preloader works as intended?

Why don't .MOV files display thumbnails in XP?

Can ANYONE see .MOV thumbnails in XP? If so, how? I have the most recent version of QT loaded, but .MOV files show a QT logo, not an image preview.
.WMP and .MPG files will show a thumbnail.
Is there something I am missing?

Just checked. The png still does not display on iPhone(5) or iPad(3). The image was also made by me in pixelmator and both (png and jpg) were exprted from pixelmator.

.mov files displaying choppy/glitchy

Hi, I am having some trouble reviewing some clips in Premiere. The footage I was given has some 29 fps .mts files and some 60 fps .mov files (they were shot on different cameras). The .mts files look fine when I review them but when I play the .mov files they are extremely choppy and slow and often I get a "media pending" screen. Could someone help me out? Do I need to convert the .mov files to work with the .mts files? Is is just my laptop that is having trouble processing the files (and if so how do I fix this?)

I upgraded to the latest Premiere and the clips are loading a bit quicker but I'm still getting these
sort of glitches and a lot of 'media pending' messages. I've tried exporting pieces with the glitches as quicktime files just to see if that would remedy the problem but it doesn't fix anything.

Media files are not fully loaded when Premier Pro CC project is launched

I'm working on a project for more than a month and my Premier Pro(PP) CC was working fine until yesterday. When I launched the same project today, PP does not load all media files. (There are 600 media files and PP loads only around 200). The last message I can see in status bar is "loading media files. 403 remaining..". It doesn't seem to proceed further and leaves the sequence incompletely loaded. Until yesterday, the sequence was fully rendered and PP was loading the pre-rendered files.
I tried opening previous versions of project and faced with similar problems. Sometimes, the sequence doesn't show the red, green or yellow indicators at all. This has never happened in PP before. Wonder, what could be the reason and how i load my project to continue working.
Any help is appreciated.

QT movies still having to fully load

I set up my site and had the problem of the Qtimes having to load before playing. I saw you had to change the "autostart" to "true" in the .js file. Then I redid all my qtimes for fast start compressed header, I clicked on the properties button for fast start. I deleted all the files off of my iDisk then after rebuilding the entire site I re-published it. There is no overall .js file to change this time.... every individual page has a .js file in it but they do not have any of the information like "autostart" in it. The movies take a very long time to load and I'm now 4 weeks into trying to make this work and frustrated as possible!

It's not an iWeb issue at all! It's a QuickTime issue. And the issue is that you have your movies encoded incorrectly for this fast-start to occur. Trust me, run your QT movies through iSquint as I originally suggested. Check off the H.264 box and then move the slider all the way to the right where it says "Go Nuts". In the advanced pane, fill in the boxes for the dimensions of your movie.

This is one of YOUR movies that I pulled directly off your web page. The only thing I did was to run it through iSquint just as I mentioned above, which reencoded it to .mp4 format from your original .mov format. I shaved 4mb from the movie in the process. Does this work for you??? It plays immediately for me.

Firefox hangs up on gmail and aol before fully loading and hangs up on any website shortly after opening.

CS6 Indesign files not fully loading

I have just purchased CS6 and created a few InDesign files. Now, on numerous occasions, when I try to open an existing file (not just one particular file), the file doesn't fully load. It shows some of the frame outlines and the graphic "content grabber", but all graphics and text do not load. While this is still trying to load, I can open another InDesign file (within the same ID session) and it's usually OK. Meanwhile the file I tried to open originally still won't load, and if I try to go back to it (or close it), the program stops responding. It doesn't do this every time I open Indesign, but at least 50% of the time.
I have reinstalled CS6, recreated preference files, follwoed every step of the "damaged file" help, but still no resolution. Any ideas please? To add to the scene, I did initially download a trail of InDesignCC, but when I purchased CS6, I uninstalled CC and use the Adobe Cleaner tool. Could this still be having an impact, and if so, how does one completely remove all tracse of the CC version?

I think I may have eventually stumbled upon something ...
I installed CS6 on my laptop to see if I would get the same problems. Initially I didn't, but did keep getting messages on opening file re embedded profile mismatch. All was OK when I just clicked OK, but when I went to switch the messages off (so indesign stopped asking question), the error returned. So I went back to my main PC, reset my preferences file to reset defaults again. As with laptop, I again got the embedded profile mismatch message and all the while I clicked OK, previous problem files, opened fine. So I thought I would try to chnage the embedded profile in a file, then save it - when I then tried to open the file again, I got the problem again!
For your info, my Indesign working space/profile is set to sRGB IEC6etc and the document was embedded with Adobe RGB. There was also a mismatch on the CMYK settings.
Does any of this help point in the right direction?

.MOV files Media offline Line Premiere CC - Any ideas. ?

Hey all.
I am have a problem with .MOV files displaying in the premiere timeline. The .MOV files were converted to that in the Go Pro software.
A/ I have just opened a project via a USB 3 raid drive. The project was created on a windows 7 machine running Premiere CC.
B/ Now I have opened it on a different newer windows 7 machine with more Ram and I7 compared to I5
C/ All of the .MOV footage is no longer displaying. I have installed Quicktime on the machine and it makes no difference.
Any ideas what is stopping the footage displaying? . It is showing Media Offline. I checked and all of the footage is still in the same place on the raid drive.
Machine one Windows 7 Now has a paid version of Full Premiere CC ( I can still open it on this old I5 Machine )
Machine Two Windows 7 Trial version of Premiere CC The footage was edited on the other machine while CC was in Trial version so, I feel that is not the issue.
Any idea are appreciated, Am I missing a Codec ?

The .MOV Go Pro Footage is now working. It is now just the .MOV lower 3rds from Audio Jungle that are not displaying.

Seamlessly Concatenate (Stream) a list of MOV files

I have three questions:
1) Is there a way to seamlessly play a list of MOV files? For example, input would be a list of URLs for MOV files, and the output would be the MOV files displayed sequentially without any pauses or blips. The MOV files would be streamed to the screen and concatenated on the fly.
I have tried this:
1) Set the setMediaLocation to a MOV location
2) start the mediaPlayer
3) wait until the getState of the mediaPlayer is no longer playing
4) reset the setMediaLocation and play the next file.
This way has annoying pause in between each MOV video clip. This is probably because the movies are not prefetched beforehand.
2) Is there a way to seamlessly stream a MOV files when they become available? For example, if I have a list of 5 MOV files and only the first one is created, when the URL for the next MOV file becomes available, is there a way to play the next file without a pause or blip?
3) Is there any way to get rid of the pink background that occurs when you move the frame that contains an MOV file? A windowListener maybe?

Converting .MOV files

I have a bunch of short videos created by our Kodak file. These are .MOV files that won't load in my iPOD.
While my wife has an iMac, I'm still saving up, so I bought Cucu*'s suite, and I have Blaze media pro. Both of these abort when I try to convert these files.
Blaze Media Pro support says this is because there are some .MOV files that Apple won't let them know how to convert.
How do I get these videos on my iPOD?
Shoot - I have some content that is not permitted, so I'm editing this down. This is the 2nd time it happened - where can I find the guidelines about what naughty words I need to avoid?

I rented a movie on an iPad mini while connected to wifi. Now I'm in the car with out Internet and when I try to play the movie is says "could not load movie" what can I do? I purchased it from iTunes and let it load fully before leaving.

Can somebody help me figure this out? So before a road trip I rented a movie on my Ipad mini. The movie fully loaded before I left. It downloaded under wifi. Now that I'm in the car I tried to watch the movie but it isn't working. When I press play an error message pops up saying "could not load movie" can I not watch it with our wifi? What's going on? What can I do to watch the movie?

Getting a movie to be playable before it fully loads

I'm building a site with quicktime movies. How can I get the movie to be playable while it's still loading? Right now you have to wait for the movie to fully load before you even see the controls.

The "fast start" (progressive download) feature is both a property of the file and a special (autoplay="true") html tag of the Web page. It is an option found at export that many users overlook. It is also "turned off" by most of the default iMovie exports.
Using .Mac servers the Homepage feature defaults to autoplay="true" while iWeb software uses "false".
You would need to edit the html page code (after the file is published) when using iWeb to alter the tag code. New to iWeb 1.1 (and 1.1.1) is that they place the .mov file into a .js (javascript) file. It's hard to find for many users.
Maybe, if you explained where your page code is hosted, we could examine it and make some better explanations.

Rented (fully loaded) movie stops playing

Rented my first (SD) movie today and after an hour it stops playing and the *itunes store connection lost* messaged popped up. Needed to start the movie again at marked position but the stops happened again 6 times overall *even if the movie was fully loaded* in the meantime.
Any help?

AppleTV 2Gen (with full bars showing at wireless connection settings)
Linksys router (54Mbit wireless-G connection)
Netgear DM111PBL modem
DSL 6000 connection.

Bug: "Move to" in email application doesn't work if activated before message fully loads

I've hit this many times when going through email. If you click on a message in the email application, then go to "Move to folder" in the top-left menu before the message finishes loading, the list of folders in the move dialog will be completely blank. The only way to get it to work is to wait until after the message loads or to navigate back and then do it again after letting the message load.
I hit this a lot for my Gmail account as I use this feature a lot to archive and categorize mails that I don't need to read the contents of to Gmail labels.
Known bug? Going to be fixed?
