Stop/Play takes me to a point 4/5 into the disc

I've got a DVD with many menus, stories & tracks. From any menu, and from a couple of tracks, when I hit "Stop" then "Play" the DVD starts playing one specific track that's near the end of the disc. I can't find anything in DVD Studio Pro that's programmed to jump to this particular track. Any ideas of where I can look to solve this? I'm searching these forums without luck. Thanks.

Okay, you guys rock. I just had to think this one through and create a one second track of the menu to place in track 1 of vts 1. I tried to record my problem as solved to give you props, but got an error.
I'm down to one remaining problem with my navigation. The next button on remotes don't work as I thought. The user has to hit "next" twice to get to the next clip. The first click of next jumps you to the start of the current video with the second click of next jumping to the next track. I'll search the forums & see if I can find direction. Since I just got here yesterday I'm not sure what the forum etiquette here is & if I should start a new thread for this question.

Bad idea.
Content bought with an Apple ID is forever associated with that Apple ID. Apple will not transfer content from one Apple ID to another and Apple will not merge Apple IDs. Unless you are prepared to forfeit all the previously purchased content and buy it all again with the new Apple ID, you will need to maintain the old ID to update and redownload your content.

A network account take a long tme to be loged into the network

I still have the same problem but I got a new information:
I have a Mac Pro OS X 10.6.2 Server with several network accounts.
My boss does not want to use Mobility (from Workgroup manager -> Preferences)
I also have 6 iMacs 10.6.2 and about 9 users, in my group.
All of the users have an account on the server.
I also have a model called Master, from which I create a clone with CCC (Carbon Copy Cloner) and I installed all iMac with that clone.
Apparentely somme users are complaining that it take a while to log in to the server.
But it does not happen often.
Today some one reported me that it happens when some one has be loged with the iMac and another user came to the same iMac in order to be loged. At this time it take a while.
One of the user, told me, he always restart the iMac when he use the iMac after someone else.
From my Mister, I tried to be logged with different user, but I could not reproduce the problem.
Some one can help me to find the reason while, it take a while to be log into the server?

Then I displayed "password service error"

Will dead battery stop netbook g62 from booting up even when plugged into the mains

Had the battery warning (last week)
did not replace now will not boot up even when plugged into the mains. Is this likely to stop booting or just a case of more than one thing wrong at the same time. New battery expensive to buy if it is likely to be something else wrong.

A battery can be so dead it will keep the laptop from powering on fully when the dead cells suck up too much of the power. Will it turn on with "mains" connected but battery removed?

Stops playing music after a little bit of time on the internet

i was listening to my music and i wanted to look up somthing on the inter net and after a about 4 to 6 mins the music cuts out this has happen pretty frenquetly. Is there a firmware set that makes it do that like it needs more processing power that it quits the music ?

It may start happening to you again before too long...I believe clearing the browser cache helps. If you keep yours clear you might not get it anymore; I've seen a few people still having the problem after restoring after a while.

After burning movie onto dvd it won't play on players despite being compatible (-R and -RW) the disc is either not recognised or it only plays audio. Am I missing a stage in finalising the movie onto DVD? The movies is 30mins long.

DvD burned with project from iMovie not playing back on compatible players. Aaaargh!

- Brand of DVD used
- Type of DVD used
- BURN SPEED
- Material used
- Free space on Start-Up Hard Disk
I use:
Verbatim, SL-DVD-R, x2 max x4 Burn Speed and never less than 25Gb free space on Macintosh HD
Material:
- Video Codec: StreamingDV, AIC or HDV
- Photo file format: .jpg - NEVER .bmp or other - all converted to this
- AUDIO file format: - .aiff 16-bit 48kHz or 44.1kHz (as on Audio-CDs) - NO .mp3 or DIRECT FROM iTUNES ! - all converted to .aiff
Then I've near to Zero problems.

I like to play cards on Yahoo. I can get into the program, but the room page, applet won't load.

I can get into Yahoo, and the 'gin' site, but when I try to go to a room to play, the page won't load. It's just blank. I've tried all the things, like emptying cache, and it doesn't help.

I suspect the software was originally designed for PPC based Macs and is simply not designed to run on 10.6.7. I would recommend contacting the manufacturer and asking the correct way to uninstall they're application.
After uninstalling I would run Repair Disk Permissions in Disk Utility and if necessary do a SMC reset using the following instructions:
SMC RESET
• Shut down the computer.
• Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
• Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
• Release the power button.
• Attach the computers power cable.
• Press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM RESET
• Shut down the computer.
• Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
• Turn on the computer.
• Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

I am in my iTunes application and when I press the link to connect to the iTunes Store, it starts churning, and churning, but never connects. It has churned for hours and when I finally click the "X" to close it, I get error code 11222.
I'd try the following document:

For certain songs on my iPhone 4s with iOS7 some songs stop playing audio but continue playing the song almost as if it were muted. Where can I fix this? Say "Stronger" by Kanye West stops playing sound after 2:25 but it is 5 minutes long.

Basically it is just like it says. Certain songs stop playing sound after a certain point in the song but the song continues playing and ticking down like it normally would. Does anyone else have this problem?

Deleting the application rarely solves anything on Macs. A better starting point is normally to delete the preference file for the application (in Users/~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.itunes.plist) or see if you have the same problem in another user account on the computer.

Mike, deleting the preferences did the trick, but I don't know why. Itunes downloaded 5 days of podcast! Hurray!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!

My alarm won't stop playing!!!

I'm using an iPhone 5 (5, not 5c or 5s or whatever) and recently upgraded from iOS 7.1.1 (or 1.11?) to iOS 8.1 and am encountering a big problem with my phone's clock/alarm app...
After the alarm rings, I get to hit "Snooze" or "Ok". If it Hit Ok the alarm keeps playing over and over again until I go into the music app, at which point it stops.
I tried deleting all the alarms in the app, and re-creating them. That didn't work. I tried restoring my phone and trying again and that didn't work...

Thanks Patrick. I think I tried that and it's about the same. It just keeps playing until it's ready to stop. But I never had this problem with earlier versions. I wonder if zapping the PRAM would do anything to help the playback issues.
I've reinstalled both system and application software and I'm not sure if I'd gain anything by zapping the PRAM. Any thoughts?

Be sure to look at the Settings for Videos, on iPod. From the main iPod screen, select Videos. At the bottom of the Videos screen, select Settings. Make sure there is nothing unusual there, particularly in TV Out.

New ipod 30 gig 5th gen. Stops playing in the middle of songs

My brand new device stops playing a song. It does not matter if the hold button is onor not. The display still shows the song. I hit the play button and it continues. Might work for 5 seconds or five songs. No rhyme or reason. I have done the 5 R's, but it does not solve the problem. Any advice?

Videos stop playing after about 2 minutes on ITunes

Hello! Sorry, if I have missed an answer to the same question. I have recently upgraded to ITunes 7.5.0.20 and found out that any video purchased through ITunes stop playing in about 2 minutes. While ITunes show the video is still running, there is no picture (and no sound) on the computer with the last picture frozen. There is no problem in playing the same videos on Ipod so far. The problem appeared only after I have upgraded ITunes and does not go away while I have tried to re-install ITunes a number of times. No problem with the video files converted and transferred to ITunes. Would appreciate any hint or solution. Michael

It's an internal problem with the hardware/software with computers running windows. The only solutions is to copy your videos to an external harddrive, and play them from there. If you do so they will play normally. There has not been a "fix" from itunes yet, so that's the only way to watch them (for now).

IPod mini stops playing and beeps!!

My iPod mini will be playing a song, then it will just stop playing and start beeping in this weird pattern. The display still shows that music is playing, but it doesn't start playing until I reset it. Then sometimes the sad iPod will show up and I have restored it 3 times now and this is still happening... is it shot??

DVD stops playing mid-way

I'm stumped. I'm trying to troublehoot a problem a co-worder is having where they authored a 17 min. DVD that that simply stops playing suddenly in a standalone DVD player right at the 5 minute mark. Captured and edited DV video in FCP. There were initially some offline clips and unrendered clips when I looked at it, but I deleted or rendered all those. No go. I even tried exporting the whole sequence as a QT, re-imported, re-encoded and burned and it still stops right at 5:00. Strange. Plays fine in the DVD SP simulator, but the burned disc won't play on the Mac or in a player. We're using our usual reliable Verbatim media. Any ideas?

Thanks for the replies, but I don't think its any of those usual suspects. Total length is 17 minutes or something like that. 7.0 CBR MPEG-2 with 224 kbps Dolby 2.0. No labels. We're thinking there's something wrong with the drive because apparently he's had similar trouble with other projects recently. But I wanted to make sure there wasn't something simple in the software we're missing.
