How do I get this feature working again? I am reluctant to move to iTunes 10.7 because I don't trust Apple at the moment.

My suggestion:
1) Always using MAC AIR with the power plug in.
2)Don' let the power level of battory fall under 30% percentage.
3)If the MAC can't be recharged now, just let it be with power plugged, WAIT...

Now I checked the materials that I got from AT&T Yahoo and
port 25 is used as the outgoing mail port, 110 for incoming.
This is for the POP type account provided by AT&T, not necessarily for an email account and SMTP server not provided by AT&T.
Sounds like AT&T blocks using an SMTP server that is outside of their network or not provided by AT&T on Port 25.
Try the following first.
Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts and under the Account Information tab for your .Mac account preferences at the SMTP server selection, select the Server Settings button below for the .Mac SMTP server.
Enter 587 in place of 25 in the Server Port field and when finished, select OK to save the changed setting.
If this doesn't work, we will go to plan B.

Sharepoint 2013 Search Query, get 'Starts With' for the whole term.

I need to build an A to Z index for the values of a particular managed property. Managed property contains text with multiple words (for example: 'Whole Sale Items', 'Sample Items').
I need the search to return the values that start with a particular letter. 'myPropOWSTEXT:s*' should return 'Sample Items'. However, this query returns both 'Whole Sale Items' and 'Sample Items'.
Is there a way to write query so that I can get the text values that start with a letter from the beginning of the whole sentence? I mean, in the above example, is there a way that the query returns 'Sale Items' only and
NOT 'Whole Sale Items'?

What do you mean "Managed property contains text with multiple words (for example: 'Whole Sale Items', 'Sample Items')."?
Is the list column value containing multiple values(e.g. multiple choices type column, manged metadata type column)?
Also it is by design that SharePoint query will match each word divided by the special character "blank space", if it's the case for your issue, as a workaround, you can remove the "blanks space" between the words(e.g.
WholeSaleItems, SampleItems), then start a full crawl and test again, it should work.

Air recovery start with command-R and I get a Lock screen?

I sold my mac, after erasing some of my personal files and maybe something else I shouldn't have apparently, wont boot up. Tried booting with Command-R to recover but it gives me the lock screen with a password entry box. Am I supposed to know some other password? Help what do I do? Thanks in advance.

What you are been asked for is a firmware password. If you haven't set up one, try resetting the SMC > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964 Also, reset the PRAM > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
If you don't remember the firmware password, the only thing you can do is to take your computer to an Apple Store or reseller to get it removed because users can't remove it without knowing the password

It is recommeded to use OS cron job log rotation.

Computer starts for half-second then stops, starts with no 8 PIN CPU, what's wro

I'm dying here guys.
The build from hell continues.
I got a new heatsink tonight on my Core i7 build, threw it on, and proceeded to start. It started, but no video. Being as I had most of the parts out on a cardboard box, I moved the motherboard slightly over, and it shut off. I pressed the power buttons, and the LED's flashed, and turned off half a second later.
I pulled everything off of it, and had bare board, heatsink, and CPU. Nothing except the half second flash.
Tore everything off, CPU out, and inserted the 24 pin. Yes, it stayed on.
Put everything back. Stayed on.
Plugged the 8 pin CPU connector in, no. Flash and die.
Looked over the pins and thought nothing was wrong. One had a bit of AS5 on the tip but carefully cleaned it off.
So the only things I can think of are:
I killed my PSU
I killed my mobo
I fried the CPU
Does anyone have any suggestions? I've blown more money on this build than I wanted and I'm stuck with a brick now. I'm so frusterated right now it's beyond belief. I have never had a build go this wrong ever in 15 years.

annyways, as soon as i disconnect the 8 pin/4 pin i can boot but no video, and Post says FF
if any1 got some tips im happy to try them out. (except throwing it out the window)

Speakers stop/starting with message

My g/f iPhone4 speakers keep failing to work, nothing to do with the silence button on the side, or the settings. It happens every time a message comes up about an accessory interfering and it is not optimised for the iPhone??? Any idea's my fellow apple followers? Cheers
It doesn't affect the ring tone by the way, just sound for the app's and ipod

Then there might be an actual short caused by a bent pin or something stuck in the dock connector that can't be blown out by air. The folks at the Apple stores a great at cleaning out connector port. I guess that would be my next step if there is an Apple store close by to you.

Instance starting with profile of another instance

For PRD we have 2 host for load balancing.On 1st CI+DB & aaplication instance,on 2nd 2 application instances[D01 & DVEBMGS00].The instance DVEBMGS00 on 2nd host while starting taking the profile of instance on 1st host.But when checked in RZ03 it's not started. Here is th RZ03 screeshot.

My MacBook Pro will not start up with Command -R.

After starting with Command - R progress bar fills and disappears. The Apple symbol remains with the spinning wheel below. The start-up seems to stall at this point. Next steps?

Try booting whilst holding down the option (alt) key - you should see your Recovery partition as a bootable partition.

A 305- S6825 will not start with the battery and charger. There's no light, no noise on fan or HDD

PC will not start with the battery and charger. There's no light, no noise on fan, hard drive and CD writer. The hard drive, fan and charger are new. But I was havingproblems and sudden blackouts System 32. Try several times to install theoperating system but the pc turned off suddenly and restarted until I stop working completely. Now it does nothing and no light. I hope it can help me I need torespect and love very much this notebook.

Turn off your laptop, unplug all wires, remove the battery, and hold the power button for thirty seconds. Afterwards, reattach the battery and connections. If it still won't start, remove the battery and start with just the AC power. Next try without the AC power and just the battery.

i'll giv u a brief about my setup. It is 2 node RAC connected to a SAN storage and size of DB is 500GB on Windows 2003. So now they r asking me to move this database to a new SAN storage box with 3TB and they asked to migrate this entire setup to new one. So please provide me the steps with scripts to full fill this.
So please provide me the steps(commands on windows cmd prompt) to stop & start services like cluster,asm and instances....etc what are the services to stop and copy database to new one and how to start the services with scripts to complete this task.
Actually some of our frns told me that there is no much downtime required but my comp asked me to do like stop services and shut down down DB and migrate then start services.
Pls help me out on this. i am very new t pls pls pls pls.. help me out

sorry but providing scripts for this task is just impossible, there are too many factors
its all written in the documentation
one possible scenario, that we did last week on a 11gR2 OEL5 RAC:
1. attach the new storage, create disks/volumes, make the hosts recognize them
2. add the new disks to the ASM diskgroup, and drop the old disks from the ASM diskgroup - this will cause a rebalance, that will take some time depending on the rebalance power and the size of the database
[3. you can do the same with OCR/votedisk, with the proper commands, if they are located in ASM]
4. remove the old storage
zero downtime needed

I'm not sure I understand the difference, when using SQL and PL/SQL. Here's what I get, please correct me if I'm wrong:
For PL/SQL (for example - SP call), if I have

will set *"the third unique parameter"* - in this example, will replace ':33', right?
If so, will executing

And for standard SQL query, it's just the nth position. For example:

Starting job from the point which it Canceled .

Hi ,
I have a program which updated/insert records to a massive tables.
The program is running with fetch on 10K on each round.
Is there any way to start the job/program on the same point which it been canceld/stop?
so the program will not have to run the records that already been updated again.

Other way is to check if i already updated the field.
Then it will start with 10*.
the select will look like this -
select * from tabname where
field <> '10%'.
The problem is that this field is not always a key filed and it will cause a long response times.
What do you think about it ?
