Stop the automatic refresh in web templates

Hi,
Is there an option to stop the automatic refresh of a webtemplate each time a user is doing is doing an action (filtering a value, drill down...).

Is there anyway to stop the auto-refresh when using HsGetValue?

I am just wondering if there is a way to stop the automatic refresh when opening a workbook that has HsGetValue functions? The issue I am having is that when you create a report in Smart View using the HsGetValue function, save it down, disconnect from Smart View then open it up again, it automatically tries to refresh the data. If you do not type your login, it just changes to #NEED REFRESH and you cant see the data anymore. This only happens when you have Smart View installed, if you are on a vanilla computer you can see the numbers no problems.
The reason we dont want it to refresh is that we want to be able to view data at a point in time, instead of always refreshing to the latest data.
I know that I can stop the refresh by changing Excel to Manual Calculation, instead of auto-calculation on formulas, but this isnt a viable solution as users arent used to manually pressing the Calculate button in Excel for their non Hyperion work.
We are using 11.1.1.3 Planning and Essbase.

Aside from turning auto-calculation off, you would need to copy the cells and paste them as values to get a static worksheet. This will eliminate any future refreshes.

Please check Discoverer configuration guide which tells you which parameter to change in preference file(pref.txt).I think you change the value.

How stop the automatic statistics collection job after the maintenance wind

Hi,
we are for a solution to stop the automatic statistics collection job after the maintenance window finished.
we disable all jobs except the automatic statistics collection, because this is the only one we want to run. Then we define specific values for the interval and duration parameters of the maintenance window to customize this task.
But for their systems it is very important that this job/task will immediately stop when the window is closed!!!
So, how could we ensure this behavior.
For Oracle 10g it is easy because the statistic job always exists and it is possible to set its duration and create an addtional event based job which kills all jobs that are running over duration.
In Oracle 11g the statistic job is created by the system during the maintenance window is open.
We are not able to modify parameters of this system job. After the maintenance window closed the job is already running - only with another resource priority - but it is running.
Please help me in this scenario

?So basically you are saying is if none of the tables are changed then GATHER_STATS_JOB will not run, but i see tables are updated still the job is not running. I did >query dba_scheduler_jobs and the state of the job is true and scheduled. Please see my previous post on the output

So basically you are saying is if none of the tables are changed then GATHER_STATS_JOB will not run,GATHER_STATS_JOB will run and if there are any table in which there's a 10 percent change in data, it will gather statistics on that table. If no table data have changes less than 10 percent, it will not gather statistics.

Problem while exporting the text written on web-template to excel.

I created a report at WAD ,while exporting it to excel all the web items got exported except for the text written on the web-template.
Is it possible to export the text written on web-template to excel???
Also i dont want to add the text-item.

To download such characteres you need to adjust code page to be used during export. You can review SAP note 73606 to identify which code page is required for this language

It is true that you cannot add more than 250 plots to a 2d-axis graph in the REPORT. One work around is to have the graphs stacked on top of each other and plot 250 to one graph and 250 more to another graph. I am including a TDR (you have to unzip it) file that has 12 2d-axis stacked on top of each other. Most of the properties have been made invisible through the graph properties. You can still see the legends however. One caveat to this is that you will have issues accessing the different graphs. You have to do it from a VBScript. The following line of code worked for me:
Call GraphObjOpen("2DAxis" + Str(NewAxis))
Where NewAxis is a variable that defines which graph I want to look at. You would of course have to loop through the graphs as you add data.

How to stop the auto refresh in dashboard

i have a BIP Report, i have unchecked the "Auton Run" option in the report properties of BIP reports and uploaded the report to My Dashboard,
when i login into the answers or when i refresh the dashboard page, my BIP Report is executing automatically even though it is uncheck in its report properties and generating the "page not found error"... can any one help me, how can i control the BIP report not to execute it until when we click on click export button....

I think you are probably referring to the email address being automatically converted to an active hyperlink. You can remove this by opening the Inspector, clicking the hyperlink icon (second from the right) and, in the Hyperlink tab, after selecting (highlighting) the address, uncheck the box next to
"Enable as a hyperlink." Or, to disable all hyperlinks, click the box at the bottom of that Inspector window next to "Make all hyperlinks inactive."
To avoid this in all documents, open Pages Preferences and, in the Auto-Correction Preferences, uncheck "Automatically detect email and web addresses."

How Can I Stop the Automatic Backup

I downloaded and am trying to use the free trial of Photoshop Elements 10 on my Mac. The first time I opened the program, aside from a bunch of fiddly repeated signing in with Adobe, all went well.
Then, somehow, it began to back up all my pictures to some Adobe place. Naturally, there wasn't enough room. Now, I get a notification that I need to purchase more room for my pictures to back up. The editor freezes and I have to do a forced close to even get it to close. Needless to say, I can not in any way evaluate whether or not I want to buy the software if I can't even use it. I am about to just uninstall the whole thing and forget about it.
Is there any way to disable the backup? I am surely not going to spend any money buying more space if I'm not going to end up buying Elements, and apparently Elements is going to keep crashing because it can't complete the backup. I went to my "personal Adobe webpage" to try to delete pictures from there, but no, they are locked and can't be deleted, which I find rather disturbing. I have done Google searches and can't find any info on this problem.
Has anybody experienced anything like this?

You can disable the automatic back up by any of the two methods –
Go to ‘Adobe Elements Organizer->Preferences->Backup/Synchronization’. Now uncheck the check box for ‘Backup/sync is on’. OR
Use the shortcut ‘Command+K’ to launch Preferences and then uncheck the check box for ‘Backup/sync is on’.
Regarding deleting photos follow these steps-
Log on to http://www.photoshop.com/ . Sign in here with the account (which you created at your welcome screen).
At home page you will find options saying ‘Organize my library’ (at top right side). Click it and it will take you to the page which contains all your shared media. You can easily delete it from here.
I think it will solve both of your problem. Let me know if problem persist.

        Wow that did not work? Thats the directions given. Ok we will do it this way. Frist click on HP Support Assistant ok. Now click on maintenance and run PC tune up but first veiw see setting Click on: Chick here to display, select, or hide tune-up task. Now put a check mark in all boxes except in disk defragmenter if listed. Disk Deframenter just hangs causing HP Support Assistance to malfunction. There for do not check that box. Now we just got rid of Internet history and empty all temp internet files.
          Now if you like to back up your favorite web-sites please do so other wise they going to be history. Now open up you Internet Explorer click on tools select Internet Options then click on Advanced tab click on reset. Everything now is erased. Should have a new browser now. Open Internet Explorer again now go to tools again. Select Internet Options Click General tab if not displayed. Check mark Delete temporary files, history, cookies , saved passwords, and information from websites. Click on delete then click ok. Now you need to click on tools Select manage add ons.Enable your tool bars again. Then Select Search Providers and enable them also remove the one you do not want. If you downloaded Real Player and Adobe Flash player. They might need to be download again. Now reload your favorites. Now on do not check mark boxes when it ask to if you want it saved. Please tell your other users the same thing.
         That's takes care of the Internet Explorer end. You can also check anytime if some one else started using saved passwords on line. Goto my control pannell and click on Store credentials for automatic logon. Manage them here as well just click on them and it will ask you remove from valt.
