Stop the color palette from returning to RGB on its own

I only use grayscale and mostly, HSB to choose color, but A LOT of times, when I have HSB selected, the color palette decides to return to RGB, and I can't even figure out a pattern for that occurence. It just happens.
It's extremely annoying! Please fix this!
Thanks.

I didn't know! Wow, how encouraging to know that! By the way... can anyone tell me if Adobe ever reads this forum? In fact, here's what I'm going to do: I 'll post this same question as a discussion, and if I don't get an answer from an Adobe employee in, say, a month or two, I'll just give up posting stuff here, because clearly, there's no point. Hope I'm wrong.

  • I have a late 2009 macbook  with osx 10.9.2 i recently added more memory to stop the colored pinwheel from poping up all the time but it has started again any ideas why this might be ty

You'd have to look into Activity Monitor utility, to see if any applications or processes are running or hogging system resources; not just RAM (as it may seem OK even if it isn't; esp in Mavericks) but in the areas of hard drive capacities. Could be you have some other issues not just a too-full hard disk drive, or not enough RAM installed.

Another utility that could show you plenty of busywork things going on, is Console. The system logs in there can show a detailed list of tons of activity. Perhaps some of the often-repeated results may be worth considering; and go by the time (day, hour, minute) you notice the spinning wheel; look into the logs from then.
Have you tried starting up in SafeBoot (shift key held on startup, then login screen appears, hold down shift key again when you login) and then run Disk Utility's repair disk permissions? When done, you could try & restart the computer normally.
If you happen to get incorrect specification RAM (close but not correct) that could also play into a spinning wheel deal; however the problem may be something else that RAM did not cure. Yet bad or incorrect RAM only adds to a pre-existing issue, since it could not solve it. Same with a System Upgrade. To upgrade to Mavericks with problems already does not mean they would go away; often that makes the first condition harder to resolve.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • How to import color palettes from Adobe Kuler to muse ?

How can I  import color palettes from Adobe Kuler to muse ?

I've looked for an answer to this but no luck so far. Until Adobe add this feature to Muse you could try this work around:
    1. Import a Kuler .ase file into Illustrator (or Photoshop too I guess)
    2. Select the desired colour in Illustrator and note the RGB values
    3. Create new swatches in Muse and use the noted RGB values rather than the colour picker.
    Hope this helps.

  • Make color palette from an image

Guess I didn't phrase the question right... will try again =
    I did a painting
I want to do another painting using the full color palette from that image (usually swatches in Corel Painter which does this)
    No indexed color
    RGB or CMYK palette
    working with photoshop CS3
the painting I did shown below
publisher liked it - need to do more art using same colors - without picking them one at a time from the image

I use both (Painter and Photoshop)...
For some reason (and some of the beta testers involved in developing Painter have said this) Painter is not really stable... seems to suffer from a memory leak - meaning after a period of time it loses memory and will not even open an image it created (even with a boatload of Ram - which it can't seem to manage).
The solution is to reboot. Also, even though I may work with Painter, I always do final color edits/setup for publication using Photoshop (including my 3D renders) -
You are right about the capabilities of Painter, but Photoshop remains the big daddy of color work.
Thanks for your explanations... I'm decidedly low-key tech...
I doodle, paint, etc. I took up digital because I hated getting dog and cat hair in my paintings and the nightmare of revising (client edits) to airbrush work - and publishers are all digital, so I send them digital files - makes all of us happy

  • Best way to remove the color blue from this?

Trying RGB Curves and Three-Way Color Corrector, but I can't seem to remove the color blue from the cutting tool in the screenshot.
In photoshop, I could use hue / saturation and adjust only the blues, is that an option in Premiere?

I've had good luck with Change Color in Premiere Pro, as mention above:
Go to the Effects Pane > Video Effects > Color Correction > Change Color and apply the Change Color effect to your clip.
Use the eyedropper to select the color in the shot you want to modify, using Tolerance and Softness to help select the color.
Then modify the color using the transform settings.

That is not a feature of iPhoto - suggest to Apple - iPhoto Menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback.
Additionally I have no idea what you are saying here

  • How to stop the tab bar from automatically hiding itself?

ive only found how to stop the address bar from disappearing and everyone with the tab problem seems to have posted this over a week ago and still hasnt been fixed yet if noone has a fix im out and done with firefox they can suck a fat one
why add this feature! i can understand the address bar but not the tabs all you have to do to hide it was push the tab button again and its gone was that so fucking hard that you had ruin a perfectly fine browser

    Hello,
In Firefox 23, as part of an effort to simplify the Firefox options set and facilitate future improvements to Firefox, the option to hide the tab bar was removed.
Fortunately, this can easily be resolved if you desire the keep tabs hidden. You can install "[https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/hide-tab-bar-with-one-tab/ Hide tab bar with one tab]", an extension hosted on Mozilla's add-ons site, which will restore the ability to hide the tab bar.
Thank you and I hope this helps!

  • How to stop the option key from changing tools when trying to subtract from a selection?

How to stop the option key from changing my tools when I am trying to subtract from a selection?
I'm running CS3 on Mac OS Leopard, and the automatic tool switching slows me down, but even preferences doesn't show a way to turn this off.
    Thanks for your help.

With any marquee tool, JUST holding down the option key should not switch tools. You need to explain the problem much more carefully, It's completely impossible to tell from your description whats going wrong.
    automatic tool switching
The only preference related to this, is to do with the SHIFT KEY - "use Shift key for tool switch".

how to stop the gray wheel from spinning after logging out?

    Frank ...
Make sure to quit all open applications before logging out.
Your proflie indicates your Mac has v10.7.1 installed.
If that is the case, updating your system software will help as far as functionaly as well as security.
Install the OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo)
    Then restart your Mac.

  • What is the top right button in the color palette used for

I've seen several tutorials on different mac apps and when they refer to the color palette I see a oval shape button in the top right corner. Maybe that was in 10.5 or latter but I'm using Lion and there is no oval button in my color palette. I see this in Pages, Pixelmator and Keynote but no oval button showing.
    Thanks in advace

I've found over the past day that its presence comes and goes, presumably based on background apps.
As I'm unable to predict when I'll catch it next time, it's best I close this question and I'll reopen a new question when I can provide a screenshot.
Many thanks for your response, and I'll watch for its reappearance.

I only wish that when I called Apple, they would match the serial number with the owner and give me the contact
Hopefully you left Apple your contact info (name phone #, email address).
Apple would simply pass your contact to the last registered owner. It would be up to the owner to contact you. As Dave mentioned, Apple will not give you any info (except may to tell you it was or was not registered, but not to who). Turn it on once in a while and maybe they have activated FindMyiPad and a message will pop up (don't need to be logged onto the iPad to a message).

If you don't have an icloud account, then icloud is not the thing that's popping up a window.
If you are being asked to enter a password when accessing itunes, then the problem may be that you have purchased items (apps, songs, etc) on the device that were purchased using a different itunes account than the one you currently have defined on your device.
Purchased items are forever associated with the itunes account (the apple ID) that was used to make the purchase.  If you change the ID on the device, you won't be able to update any of them.  You'll have to purchase them again.

How do I stop the keychain window from popping up, it is really annoying?

What is the specific message you are getting?
If it's asking for a password, then enter it and you should be good. If you don't know the password, then I would probably recommend reseting your keychain entirely. Your keychain keeps saved password for certain websites and programs but in my expereince the average user is not tremendously affected by reseting the keychain. It's just a matter at that point of reentering your passwords manually if you've gotten used to them populating automatically.
Check out http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1544 for an article on how to reset the keychain.
