Stop the panels window from blinking on every click!

How about making it so the panels window doesn't blink/flash when you click on anything other than the panels window? It does this everytime you click on something, I'm starting to get a twitch….!? Imagine if your layers panel did this in photoshop....

    If you don't have an icloud account, then icloud is not the thing that's popping up a window.
    If you are being asked to enter a password when accessing itunes, then the problem may be that you have purchased items (apps, songs, etc) on the device that were purchased using a different itunes account than the one you currently have defined on your device.
    Purchased items are forever associated with the itunes account (the apple ID) that was used to make the purchase.  If you change the ID on the device, you won't be able to update any of them.  You'll have to purchase them again.

  • How do i stop the keychain window from popping up it is really annoying?

    How do I stop the keychain window from popping up, it is really annoying?

    What is the specific message you are getting?
    If it's asking for a password, then enter it and you should be good. If you don't know the password, then I would probably recommend reseting your keychain entirely. Your keychain keeps saved password for certain websites and programs but in my expereince the average user is not tremendously affected by reseting the keychain. It's just a matter at that point of reentering your passwords manually if you've gotten used to them populating automatically.
    Check out http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1544 for an article on how to reset the keychain.

  • Stop the results window from showing at the end

    This may seem like an odd request, but is it possible to stop the final results window coming up at the end of the test run? I still need all the results handling mechanism working because results are logged to a database and I use the MainSequenceResults property. However I don't need the actual TestStand results. I'm happy to modify the process model but can't find the right place.
    Thanks,

    Hi Ronnie,
    Sorry, I have no answer on this. But i am forced with the same issue. I my case i need it !!!
    When i did some tests trying to switch from TS 4.0 to 4.2. I realized that my (Xml)Results in
     Editor and OperaterInterface are missed ! (Internet-Explorer) Control is missing the result's file.
    I am using an old TS2.0 derivation of the ProcessModel which has been only optimized over ther years.
    There where no Problems on 3.x and 4.0, 4.1.1
    I have compared my model with the model shipped with TS 4.2,  but i found no major difference.
    Unfortunately I had no time and money to spend more time on this issue. I put it off to next year topic list.
    So i am very courious on the anwers on your thread

  • How do I stop the update banner from annoying me every few minutes?

    How do I stop the Updates Available banner from annoying me every few minutes? I have tried to deselect the "Automatically check for updates" box in System Preferences==>Software Update, but it doesn't help.

    I prefer to manually check for updates when convenient and install only those that I wish to install at a time of my choosing. Surely Apple wouldn't be so heavy-handed as to make this impossible?

  • How do you stop the help window from floating to the top?

    Is there way to change the help window's behavior so that it acts like a normal window?
    It takes so long to set up seeing the problem and the help at the same time, then go back to reading and then back again.
    The floating to the top is a very unwellcome "Feature" and microsoft-like not Apple-like.

    That depends on your POV. Some may prefer the default behaviour, because it doesn't allow the help window to be hidden by the working window.
    Also, keep in mind that you can use the Minimise (yellow) button in the window's title bar.
    However, if you really want to change the default floating window, there is a preference you can change with the defaults command:
    $ defaults write com.apple.helpviewer NormalWindow -bool true
    Alternatively, you can enable Help Viewer's developer mode
    $ defaults write com.apple.helpviewer DevMode -bool true
    (See

    for details.)

  • In the lower right hand corner of the screen, how do I stop the download window from poping up each time I download something?

    In the lower right hand corner of my screen, everytime I download, a download window pops up, that scans what I downloaded for a virus then gives me a message that says download is complete. How do I disable that feature?.

    To turn off the alert you can change a hidden preference.
    # Type '''about:config''' into the location bar and press enter
    # Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
    # Locate the preference '''browser.download.manager.showAlertOnComplete''' and double-click on it to change its value to '''false'''
    # If you want to stop Firefox requesting a virus scan, double click on the preference '''browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone''' to change its value to '''false'''

I have "Pop-Up" windows set to off....but they still open...also all of a sudden pages on line will have tons of words highlighted as hough they are links.... and when I click on them thinking it is a link it is another annoying pop up window. Disable Javascript for those webpages.  Note, your Javascript is probably antiquated by now.  Try a different web browser, or contact the website and let them know they aren't as accessible as they could be*:

  • Calling a Function in the Parent Window from the Child Window

    QUESTION: How do I call a function resident in the parent
    window from a child window?
    BACKGROUND
    I have a JavaScript function resident in the parent window
    that reformats information obtained from the Date object and writes
    the result to the parent window using the document.write( ) method.
    I would like to call this function from the child window and have
    it write to the child window instead. Is this possible? If not,
    must I rewrite the entire function and nest it in the below code?
    If so, what is the proper form of nesting?
    CODE: The code that creates and fills the child window is
    provided below. The highlighted area indicates where I would like
    to enter the information from the function resident in the parent
    window. I have tried every imaginable permutation of code that I
    can imagine and nearly destroyed my parent document in the process.
    I am very happy that I had a back-up copy!
    function openCitationWindow() {
    ciDow = window.open("", "", "width=450, height=175, top=300,
    left=300");
    ciDow.document.write("A proper way to cite a passage of text
    on this page:<br /><br />Stegemann, R. A. 2000.
    <cite>Imagine: Bridging a Historical Gap</cite>. " +
    document.title + ". [<a href='" + location.href + "'
    target='_blank'>online book</a>] &lt;" + location.href
    + "&gt; (");
    MISSING CODE;
    ciDow.document.write(").<br /><br /><input
    type='button' value='Close Window' onclick='window.close()'>");
    ciDow.focus();

    Never mind - I was doing something very stupid and wasn't
    calling the function as a method of a movie clip. I was simply
    calling checkTarget(event) rather than
    event.currentTarget.checkTarget(event); which seems to work.
