Stop titles from fading out

Is there a way to stop titles from fading out, so that on transitions instantly to the next, the way you can set the gap time to 0 so that there is no blank space between tracks on a CD? I thought that changing the duration of the transition time night work, but that only appears to affect the length of time before the title fades out.

hey guys - got another question. i am trying to have titles appear in a clip and am having trouble figure out how to get the effect i want. i want the words to appear one by one, but still show the previous words. so something like: sometimes/sometimes you/sometimes you wanna/sometimes you wanna go..

If you want, you could also use Hiren's BootCD to make a bootable CD with many options and programs on it (I keep one, just for certain situations) that will allow you to do the same things.

How can we stop iPrint from pushing out printers?

Is there a global way to stop iPrint Client Management from pushing out printers? Or, is there a way to report on all group objects that have a printer assignment? We are trying to stop printers from being pushed, but we have 100+ group assignments, as well as some printers that are specifically assigned to users. Trying to find them all and then change them all is going to be a difficult task. We're hoping there's a setting in the Driver Store or Print Manager that we missed.

How to stop someone from filling out pdf form multiple times?

My customers order my service by down loading a .pdf form. They then fill out the form and submit the form to my email. How do I stop a customer from submitting the form multiple times. I would like for the customer to submit the form only once filled out. If I need more info I could follow up to their order manually via email. Thanks for your help!

One of the main reasons why you have a customer posting multiple submits would be because for some reason he/she doesn't know the first one was successful.
Add a property your form to record whether or not a valid submit has already happened. Use script to set that property on submit. Check each time the submit operation is fired to see if the property is set. If it is display an error dialog and stop the submit from occurring.
If someone wants to open multiple copies of your form and fill it out and send it to you, well there's nothing you can do about that.

Title not Fading Out

I'm new to Motion 5 (making the transition from FCP 7 to X) and trying to create a simple five second long title that fades in in one second (30 frames) and fades out in the last one second (30 frames).
I created the title and added the basic motion Fade In/Fade Out, set both the Fade In and fade Out times to 30 frames. The Fade In is working fine but the Fade Out is not. Start and End Offsets are both set to 0. Can anyone point out what I might be doing wrong?

When you add a text object to a project, how long it "plays" goes until the end of the project. If you move the text in time so that it starts later, it still would play for the same length of time and it is possible to move the "end" of the object past the end of the project play length.
When you add a behavior like Fade In/Fade Out, the beginning and end of the behavior exactly match the beginning and end of the object it is applied to.
If you have moved your text object so that the end goes past the end of the project, then you will not see the fade out behavior because it is happening "after" the project.
If this is the case of your problem, you can easily solve this by selecting the object in the Layers List and move the playhead to the point you want the Fade Out to end and type the o key to set an Out Point for the object (the Fade In/Fade Out behavior should be trimmed the same automatically.)

Stop MBP from logging out

I can't seem to stop my MacBook Pro from logging itself out after 30 minutes of inactivity. Obviously, I have tried unchecking the box "log off after 30 minutes of inactivity" under 'Security and Privacy' -> 'Advanced', but this does not help - or only for a little while. The box keeps checking itself (and setting itself back to the default time of 30 minutes - I have also tried to change that) and my computer keeps logging itself out. It's very annoying and I haven't been able to find any solutions for it on fora like these. Hope somebody has an idea!

This seems to be the problem! The MacBook was provided to me by my employer. I can see under "Profiles" that they changed the login settings about a month ago (see screenshot). I will contact the IT-department and see what I can do about it - it's a really very annoying setting, given that I am the only one using this computer.

I have the same problem guys but i found half the solution:
It seems you can custom format numbers (many custom formats) in address book on a mac.
Then address book is smart enough to figure out which format to use for which country.
i.e. if you put +44 XXX XXX XXXX for a uk number, then it will automatically format it to THAT format as soon as you enter a number starting with 44. Furthermore, it will automatically update all +44 numbers to that format. You can have as many custom formats
Then have everything synced automatically via icloud.
Though it looks great in Address book,
i still have a problem getting all that nice formatting to show up on the 4s
Any ideas?

Stop title from repeating in Pages

I noticed that Pages defaults to adding your title on every additional page in your document. Even though I don't mind it, I can't hand my essay in with a title on both pages, or I will be docked marks. I can't seem to delete the second title without deleting the original one. Any help would be good.

Don’t put your title in the header. In the Document Inspector set the Header to zero and uncheck the Headers box. Then type your Title in the main text field.

How do I stop Firefox from timing out when connecting to NDN video servers?

Many news websites use the video servers at NDN. Firefox seems to invariably time out when trying to display videos hosted there. An error message box will popup that says "[Error](com.ndn.video::StreamingVideo) OPV Error #6 Timed out while trying to connect."
I've tried to edit some of the timeout settings in about:config but I don't know for sure which to modify.

I neglected to mention I'm running FF 24.0 on a Mac 10.9 Mavericks system. There was not a Tools -> Options choice on the menu, but I did find it on the Preferences panel, on the Advanced tab (see image 1).
I made the auto-detect selection as you advised and restarted FF. After navigating to a video I once again received the error message (see image 2).
So either I did something wrong (possible but I don't think so; I double-checked the setting after the restart and it is set to auto detect) or the problem lay elsewhere.
Anything else come to mind?

How do I stop Leopard from going out and mounting volumes it finds on the network without my requesting that server be mounted?
The network at work, is a rather slow, cumbersome, poorly linked network and mounting these volumes, which I do not want, is slowing down everything.
10.4 did not do this.

I am having the same problem. There seem to be some kind of hidden links to my network drive, which want to connect from time to time. I am not able to find the respective files.
