Stopping Automatic emails When Posting Files

We need to post workfiles to a beehive team collaboration site.  The system is automatically generating a "document posted" email for each one.  How do we stop these emails from going out?  We are just clogging up the team's email in boxes. 

When the system was set up the creator chose to have autosubscription enabled. This means that any create or update action will generate a file to all participants in the Workspace.
The subscription setting is at an individual level so can be switched off by the individual using the https://beehiveonline.oracle.com/BOLAdmin.html tool - navigate to the All My Workspaces tab and click on the Workspace - the right hand panel will allow you to disable the subscription for you on the Workspace - or allow you to restrict the notification to a folder/sub-folder.
If you need to have the subscription unset for the group you need to do 2 things:
1. Go to the group creation tool - click on the group name and switch off the auto-subscribe. this will stop any new users being set up with subscriptions.
2. Let us know the Workspace name via the [email protected] email address and we can remove it from the existing users en-masse.

  • Captivate stops sending email when project file is republished

    Hello, hope someone can shed some light on this one.
    1. Created project with 4 (latest updates) published the files and they worked fine. At the end I have a random question slide with a hotspot ( I know I could put directly in as a question but I want to use for other projects). When a user clicks on the hotspot it simply registers the click and a "passing score."
    2. The passing score is then passed to the submit results page and emailed to a designated box to capture course completion
    3. Project worked fine for over a week with users testing it
    4. I made some adjustments and republished the file
    5. The project works perfectly until the email is to be generated. When clicking on the "send email" button, which I have renamed "send acknowledgement" through the options nothing happens. The button doesn't respond at all, not even the "click" sound you would normally here
    I have copied the slides to a new project file and added the whole quizing portion back in manually thinking something may have corrupted, same results
    Had IT completely uninstall and reinstall Captivate, even dumped out the user profile settings so it was a completely new start, same thing again.
    Any ideas????

    Unfortunately, the powers that be who control our LMS won't even discuss me sending results to the system. Says he doesn't have time or resources to dedicate to testing implementation. Even though we have just about all of our corporate training design team using Captivate, we are forced to wrap the SWF in Lectora to publish it to the LMS and then let Lectora and the LMS handle the quizing. As for version 5, we haven't migrated to 5 yet LOL. Also, it worked at one point so I know it will do it. I am thinking one of the project slides has a corruption in it which so minor it's causing this behavior on the quiz results, but the whole things plays without a hitch.
    Anyone else have any thoughts?

    I had thought that I was subscribing to just a single thread but it appears that I'm now being notified about every message in every thread.  The last time I logged on I received over 200 messages.
    If it doesn't stop I will have to resort to changing my email address.

    Yes. I tried it. But whenever I restart m Mac, the watch folder doesn't work until I reconnect to network or run the Automator... I need a simple system that automatically connects to the network and monitor the folder, even I restart the Mac.

  • Shared Reminders: How do I stop getting emails when changes are made?

    My wife and I both have iPhone 5's that we bought 2 weeks ago. We are sharing a calendar and a "Grocery" list in reminders. I have everything set up where it is working properly but I keep getting emails when a change is made to the grocery list. I don't get emails when there are changes to the calendar.
    I want to stop getting emails when there are changes made to our grocery list but I am not sure how to do it. We both have icloud accounts and we both have checked the box under preferences in my calendar for "in app notifications" for icloud invitations. When I open Reminders in icloud I don't see a preferences for reminders.
    If it helps , or makes any difference, my wife has a yahoo mail account and I have a hotmail account. She does not get emails about changes being made.

    Did you try to switch Push "off" and fetch to "manually"? This way no mail is delivered until you choose to open the mail app. The moment you open Mail on your device, your mail account will be checked and if any, mail will be delivered.
    Fetch New Data
    This setting lets you turn Push on or off for MobileMe, Microsoft Exchange, Yahoo!, and any other push accounts on iPhone. Push accounts deliver new information to iPhone whenever new information appears on the server (some delays may occur). You might want to turn Push off to suspend delivery of email and other information, or to conserve battery life.
    When Push is off, and with accounts that don’t support push, data can still be fetched—that is, iPhone can check with the server and see if new information is available. Use the Fetch New Data setting to determine how often data is requested. For optimal battery life, don’t fetch too often.
    Turn Push on: Choose “Mail, Contacts, Calendars” > Fetch New Data, then tap to turn Push on.
    Set the interval to fetch data: Choose “Mail, Contacts, Calendars” > Fetch New Data, then choose how often you want to fetch data for all accounts.
    To conserve battery life, fetch less frequently.
    Setting Push to OFF (or setting Fetch to Manually on the Fetch New Data screen) overrides individual account settings.

    Hi,
    You could use WF in a different way.
    1. Create a WF "When modified record saved" with the condition [<DueDate>]-Today() = 1 (or any value depending on your requirement)
    2. Create an email notification.
    3. Here is the tricky part. You will have to do something to the records that have due date less than today and maybe not completed. Write a simple WS to query for these records and update some field to the same value (say any field that doenst make much difference even if updated).
    The WS will trigger the WF rule.

    I have the same problem.
    I want to create an email when a dump occured.
    In RZ20,I assigned the method  CCMS_OnAlert_Email as
    autoreaction method to the MTE class R3AbapShortdumps.
    I configured the method with SENDER,RECIPIENT etc.
    'Execute method' on is set to 'the local server of the MTE to be prcessed'.
    When a short-dump occured,the view 'Status Autoreaction' shows 'checked Run required',
    but no Email is sent.When I start the method manually (edit->nodes->start method,the
    email appears.
    What did I forget or what's wrong ?

  • HT1473 Stop automatic import of mp3 files

    Any time I add a new .mp3 file to my music folder, iTunes automatically adds it to my library and creates a new playlist for new songs downloaded that day.  This happens as soon as the file is added to the folder, before I even play it.  Is there a way I can stop this and only import songs into the library when I actually drag them in? 
    The music folder is not my "iTunes Media folder" location, and I've unchecked the copy files to iTunes option anyway. 

    That isn't a built-in feature of iTunes. Do you by chance have iTunes Folder Watch installed?

    You have 2 options
    #1 You can set Alerts at the announcement list level as shown below. In the send alerts to users you can add your user emails or distribution list email and choose email as delivery method. You can choose to
    send Announcements on various actions that are there on the form. This is simple way. This send email the out of the box style. You cannot change that.
    #2 The other option is to use SharePoint Designer and set a workflow on changes and send mail. You can customize the look and feel of it there.

  • How can I stop getting emails when adding events to iCal (Mac) or Calendar (iOS)?

    This question could just as well go to the iCloud on my Mac community...
    I put 'I' in the topic for brevity but it's actually my wife who gets emails every time either of us adds or edits events, whether we do it in iCal on either of our Macs or in Calendar on our iOS devices. Presumably this is to do with a setting in iCloud somewhere, but I've searched high and low and can’t find it. I've also compared settings on our Macs and phones and can't find anything that could be the culprit. It's driving her nuts!
    For more information, we share all our calendars so that either of us read and write any of them, and we're both on iOS 5.1 on our iPhones (hers is a 3GS, mine's a 4), and we're both on Mac OS X 10.7.3 Lion (2010 27" iMac and 2011 MacBook Pro respectively).

    this seems to be a new "bug" on iCloud.  It's happened to many users (judging by the posts here).  My wife and I have one shared calendar and we've been happily using it without the email problems (because I had set iCloud NOT to email us whenever an event changed - this was done at icloud.com, a setting there).  Recently we began getting emails.  I suspect a change in iCloud that was in error, because I just checked my setting and the option to have an email sent when an event changes is not checked.

    When I save a billing document, the excise invoice is automatically getting triggered in the background. I want to stop this from happening, as customer wants to do it manually using J1iin transaction.
    In Customizing, I have removed (unchecked) the "Excise Inv during Billing" field in for my concerned Excise group. In spite of this the excise invoice is getting generated in background, this is for sale from factory scenario.
    I have maintained the "Default Excise group and Series group" for my sales area, plant and shipping point combination, without which the system issues an error message while doing billing.

    But this is a new roll out that were are doing for India and hence dont think of any user exits written. We are using SAP ECC 5.
    We have observed that there were some SAP notes missing hence resulting in short dump, can this also be because of some missing OSS note. I tried to look in SAP market place but didnt find any note pertaining to this issue. Is there any mandatory list of OSS notes that needs to be present to successfully run the Indian business process.
    Can you also please confim me one more thing, why is system asking for Default Excise and Service group when I have not selected the "Excise Inv during Billing" for the excise group.

  • How do you stop automatic unzipping of .zip files

    When downloading a flashable .zip file Yosemite automatically unzips it.  How do you prevent this?

    We've been experimenting with this today.
    You can avoid getting the file by turning off the autodownload in the IM settings. The sender sees the file transfer, but it's not going to your machine. To get the file, you then need to click on it. It IS still going to Skype's servers though waiting to be retrieved and that is a worry.
    A link is generated to retrieve the file. The link is sharable with anyone who is a skype subscriber.
    Are these files ever deleted?
    This makes me worry about the security all files sent via skype since it is the way-station and holder of these files. For instance, is it possible for a computer to check the randomly assigned numbers until they find all sorts of things?
    We are using the 7 series versions.
