Stops recording when program opened on top

I need to be able to open up a program over the AA3 screen in order to read a script from the screen and record it. Every time I try to do this, Adobe stops the recording. Is there a setting that can keep it recording under another program open on top - as did AA1.5?

Since about 2 weeks ago for no apparent reason, the internet on my iPad suddenly stopped working (when I open Safari, it says: "Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the Internet"), even though the Wifi icon in the top left corner still shows full signal. However, I noticed when I went into Wifi settings (Settings>Wifi) that there is no checkmark next to my network name (only the spinning circle icon, as if it's trying to process something). This only happens at home (I can browse the internet while connected to Wifi at university). My other Apple devices (MacBook Pro and iPhone 4S) work perfectly fine at home.
I've tried resetting my router, restarting my iPad, resetting Network Settings on my iPad, and tried following Hynes' instructions on this thread:https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2453187?start=15&tstart=0, but nothing has worked so far (although I have to admit that I found the instructions on that thread somewhat confusing, so there is a chance that I accidentally did not follow them properly).
Could someone please help? It'd be VERY much appreciated.

My volume buttons don't work when I'm in Messages on iOS 8, I can't change the ringer or headphone volume. More annoyingly music stops playing when I open Messages, but I can start it again. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

For all of you, the first thing to do when these things happen after an update, is to close all your open apps and reset. This will cure your ills 99.9% of the time:
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

IOS8 - Music stops playing when I open Messages app

Since downloading iOS8, my music stops playing when I open the Messages app. I have to go back to the Music app to begin playing the music again once I have closed the Messages app. I assume it has something to do with the video/audio message feature. How can I get my music to continue playing when I open the messages app?

Rebooting my phone (a 5S) solved this issue, at least temporarily. I was ready to rush to the Apple Store and beg them for an iOS 7 phone; no music while texting is a definite deal breaker for me.

DVR says it's full and stops recording when it's not

About 10 times over the past 3 months, I've gotten an on screen message saying the dvr was full and it would stop recording. When I would go to check how full the drive was it would be 10%, 7%, 20%. Very rarely does it go above 50% full. Anyone have this happen to you?

To fix the space being reported incorrectly press menu, then go to CUSTOMER SUPPORT, then IN HOME AGENT, then SET TOP BOX AUTO CORRECTION. Please let us know if further assistance is required.

How do I stop Quicktime from stopping recording when it believes the signal is lost?

I'm trying to digitize old VHS home videos through Quicktime (latest version). But when the tracking goes a bit awry, Quicktime stops recording telling me "RECORDING STOPPED, TRY RECORDING AGAIN."
This is not true. It's just an instance of a bad part of the tape. It took me 13 days just to record one 6 hour tape because I had to start a new recording every few moments. I had hundreds of files!
How do I stop Quicktime from ending a video recording when it believes the signal is lost? Is there a way of turning this 'feature' off? If not, does Apple have a software that will do what I'm asking? Final Cut Pro X or something else?

Here is a screenshot of the error. As you can see, I got a full 4 seconds of video recorded before Quicktime X believed the signal was lost (just a bit of off tracking).

Adobe Stop working when I open two PDF Files.

I am using the Adobe Acrobat 11.0.03 on my desktop running win-8. The big issue for me is that the adobe just stop working, when I tried to open two PDF files at the same time. But it is fine when I just open one. So could any one give me same advise? Thank you very much.

I am using the Adobe Acrobat XI. Currently, it works perfectly when I only open one PDF file. If I try to open two files at the same time. the Adobe Acrobat just stop working and shows "Adobe Acrobat has stopped working".
It is so frastrating becasue I always need to open and edit multiple PDF file at the same time.

Why do my raw photos go 2 stops darker when I open them ?

I have just perchased a Nikon D5100 and when I open the photo it looks OK in the thumb nail but then goes at least 2 stop darked when opened. My camera perfore was a D60 that was OK. My Aperture is up to date 3.4.3 and I have down loaded the lasted Raw 4.04. I use a Man mini with Lion OSX 10.7.5

By chance do you have "preserve highlights" enabled in the camera settings? I've seen it cause this problem; I'd recommend not using that camera setting.

Dreamweaver CS3 stops respoding when I open file

I have a problem with dreamweaver stopping responding when I try to work on a specific file. I can open the file, but once I click on the code dreamweave stops responding. This file is in my testing environment. An identical copy current is in use on the server and works. To resolve the issue I have tried the following:
Coping the file to a new name, deleting the orginal and renaming the copies to the oeginal name - did not resolve issue
Opening the file in notepad, coping the code to a new file in dreamweave, closing notepad, saving the code over the orginal file - did not resolve issue
I am now rewriting the code under a different, but I would still like to resolve the orginal issue.
Any suggestions.

OK, I tried coping the file over line by line and doing some simple rewrite. The file was open as a blank ASP and saved under I new file name. Everything work until I closed the file. When I reopened the file I had the same issue as before.

Stops recording when headphones unplugged

I recently recorded a live performance and I unplugged the headphones from the jack on my Macbook Pro and the recording stopped. I don't recall this happening previously. Any thought, ideas or experiences with this happening?

I'm recording via a line in so the internal mic was disabled. I didn't get the "detected feedback" message and it stopped recording almost immediately after unplugging the headphones.
Basically: Analog output of an A&H Zed 14 mixer into the input on the Macbook Pro. The reason I removed the headphones from the Macbook was to check the mix at the mixer.

Rollover images stop working when image lies on top

Hello,
I am trying to place a PNG image over my menu bar. This is a swoosh which overlaps certain areas on the menu bar, the swoosh is a PNG file with no BG. It seems that the swoosh retaining box, stops the rollover buttons from working. They work up to the point in which the swoosh box starts.
Am i missing something really simple, or is it a common fault.

The menu bar in blue is positioned behind the blue and yellow swoosh. The rollove effect works when the curser is on the text but as you move down, the rollover effect stops, its at the position where the swoosh retaining box starts that the rollover effect stops working. Its to do with the layers im sure, i just thought seeing as the swoosh pixels dont interfere that obejct behind should be selectable.

Every time I open Safari, my music stops playing. Why does this happen? & please dont tell me to reset anything...

That doesn't make any sense. Isn't that the whole purpose of the multitasking feature, why would it close?

Microsoft word stops responding when i open a document

This has been happening on and off for ages, from half a year to a year. I have been trying to open a document for 4 hours now, it opens it and then freezes, i then have to force quit it and start over again. Some times i have left it for a while others i quit it after it stops responding. It is getting ridiculous now, i have also searched for ages on the internet, some problems are unrelated some seem related but the fixes don't work, I need help to get word to stop doing this.
I thought maybe it was because it keeps opening all my previous documents that I had open, i unchecked the box so it doesn't reopen windows and it still freezes but on this document instead. I do not have a clue what to do and I urgently need access to these documents, the documents aren't damaged, i was working on them before, and had this problem with many other documents that also weren't damaged. What should I do? I do not have a clue and it's been a truly annoying problem for a long time now.

Hello, I did as you asked, I hope this isn't too many lines i put. I don't understand any of it and so I don't know what is needed, but this doesn't have over 50 lines so i thought it may be okay. I can't see my name in my log so it seems okay from that point of view. Thanks for your help, this problem has been driving me nuts, i don't know if i've done anything or this is just because of gradual ware and tear as my macbook is the last one they produced. But i wouldn't think its software would have suffered much ware and tear to become that outdated already.

IWeb Stops Responding When I Open Media Browser

I haven't used my iWeb application in several months and now when I go in to update my web pages, every time I open the media browser I get the spinning beach ball and the application hangs. The only way to get it working again is to force quit and restart iWeb but it will happen again as soon as I open the media browser. Any idea what could be causing the hangs?

Looks like I was able to solve my own problem. Apparently there is a bug in iWeb where the media browser only likes certain kinds of movie files. In my Movies folder, I had a collection of .mov, .avi, .wmv and real movie files and apparently that was enough to cause issues with iWeb. When I removed all those movies and put them into a different folder, iWeb had no issues or lock-ups. Some day when I have time I'll try to figure out which one was causing the issue but I'm guessing it's one of the formats Quicktime understands, most likely WMV. I did try uninstalling Flip 4 Mac but that didn't make any difference. In any case, I'm back running for now. Hopefully Apple has addressed this issue in iWeb '08.
