Storage in incorrect folders - help!

I am having trouble with the display folders on my new iPod. I recently purchased 4 audiobooks from the iStore and they are currently stored in the 'audiobooks' section of my library. Syncing my iPod uploaded the audiobooks to my iPod, but only displays two of them in the audiobooks folder on my iPod, the rest are hidden elsewhere. I have tried moving the files around in my library and re-syncing but the problem is that when I plug my iPod in, it displays all the audiobooks in the correct folder but that's not the case on the actual iPod. Can anyone help? I have tried syncing and re-syncing time and again but there appears to be no problem when the iPod is connected, it's when I disconnect and go to the audiobooks category that they are not all displayed in the correct folder.

See what kind of files they are by File Extension. Right click one of the files and select Get Info, and at the bottom it will show the full file path, including the file extension (the .m4 something or other). Audiobooks from iTunes Store should have .m4b as the extension to show up correctly on the iPod. If it's something other than that, you may want to try changing it to that.

Using a Windows 2012 RDS Environment, we have users connecting to a CPD website, and as part of the CPD they need to run a systems checker. All users are connecting to this environment with Windows CE Clients,I have checked the setting on Adobe Flash and they seem correct but as each user has its own profile on the RDS session, is there something that I should be setting for each user. I have added the website to the trusted sites and it has made no difference. Any ideas

It sounds like what's happening is that Flash Player can't write or read from the local shared objects in the user's redirected home directory because we disallow traversing junctions in the broker process. This behavior was disabled to address a vulnerability identified in some of John Forshaw's research into the IE broker last year.
You can enable this behavior by adding the following setting to mms.cfg:
EnableInsecureJunctionBehavior=1
That said, you can probably gather from the name of the flag that we don't really recommend this approach, and disable this attack surface by default. There's some risk that a network attacker could craft content that abuses fundamental issues with how Windows handles Junctions to write to arbitrary locations.
Unfortunately, there's not a simple or easy workaround that I'm aware of (but it's been ages since I've administered a Windows domain) for this kind of NAS/SAN-backed terminal server environment where Flash is not able to access \Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\ without traversing a junction.

I've had the same problem more than once since I started trying to download my 14 April purchase of OS X Mountain Lion.
I found a property list called manifest.plist in my ~/Library/Application Support/AppStore folder which had a Boolean property called failed checked. I unchecked it and afterwards I was able to resume my download.
Here are some steps I've found useful:
Close the Mac App Store.
make a copy of the ~/Library/Application Support/AppStore folder. For some strange reason the Mac App Store likes to just delete it in some circumstances, which will mean that one has to start one's download again from the very beginning.
Double click on the manifest.plist in one's ~/Library/Application Support/AppStore folder.
This should open it in Property List Editor.
Expand all the nodes (holding down the alt key and clicking on the highest collapsed node should do it.
Find a key called failed of type Boolean and uncheck it.
Save the manifest.plist and close it.
Open the Mac App Store.
The red message "an error has occured" should now be gone and one should be able to resume one's download.
In the event that the ~/Library/Application Support/AppStore folder gets deleted:
start the download again (it will start from the beginning), pause it and close the Mac App Store.
copy your backup copy of the pkg file back to its sub-folder (it's a numbered folder in the ~/Library/Application Support/AppStore folder).
Open the Mac App Store and resume your download.
It should continue from where it left off.
This has worked for me so far. I'm holding my breath. Don't know if I'll still be alive when it's finished.

What version of osx are you running? It must be 10.7. Your profile shows 10.4. If that is correct then you could not have iCloud installed. If you have lion then you have to log into www.icloud.com from your browser, go to iWork's tab within iCloud, drag a supported file type and the doc will upload to iCloud .

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Try disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall during the download and restore. If still problem come back with the exact wording of the error message.

This only happens when I'm in my browser. Ex. when I'm on a site and I decide I like what I see and want to print it text that is, my printer always prints tiny. When I'm in Microsoft Word for ex. I print it and it looks like what I expect. So I don't know if somehow my printer got set to print tiny when on the web. If you can help me I would be most appreciative. Macbook air "Aboout This Mac" storage indicator incorrect

I'm using a Macbook air 13'' thats running on OSX Yosemite 10.10.1. There seems to be a problem with the storage indicator. I click on the apple logo on the top left and go to storage to check the remaining space and the numbers don't seem to be right. The image below is what i get.
The amount of space Apps takes up is higher then all my apps added up and the space free difference to the total space is incorrect. After adding the amount of space the system says I take up from the number of the picture above its about 196GB so it just does not match the 185.16GB free of 249.77GB. Also I go in to my application folder and Highlight all the apps and folders and the system says i only have 14GB of files. I look into Disk Utility and it says I've only used 64GB
I was wondering if anyone can explain what the problem is. Is it that my Macbook Air is actually low on space or is it reading my files wrong? And what can i do to fix the problem. Thanks in advance!

   Spotlight reindexing will take a while to finish.

I read the manual and did everything (to my knowledge) and spent 2 days researching this but cannot locate an answer. Ok, I personally have an iPhone, and iPad2 and iPad4 all on my same Apple ID. (that is what you are to do, right? that way your apps purchased can be shared on all those devices and you don't have to purchase new, right?) (The iPod just croaked w/ white screen.)
Ok, just this Friday 2/8, my iCloud told me the "cloud is full" to manage it. Ok, so I go to manage it, but everything I do I notice does ZERO to release the space. I worked two days releasing tons of space and nada. The icloud didn't move from full position. I did turn on and off my devices. I signed out of the iMac cloud.
I see this:
On my iPad (etc):
TTL Storage 5.0GB
AVAIL 281mb
So I go to "manage"....
for "Docs and Data" it ONLY shows 2 apps I never use (I do use notebook apps but nothing else shows here but these two apps):
Writers App 12.5kb
Tweed 0.1kb
Then, below that it shows (in my opinion the culprit!):
MAIL 4.7GB
Soooo, I went to iCloud on my iPad and iMac (took turns) and DELETED IT ALL TO ZERO. Zero in inbox. Zero in sent. Zero in Trash. It is a hollow trash can!
I signed out of the iMac icloud.
I come back and my "manage" area looks EXACTLY the same as stated above. The mail still shows at 4.7GB. It did not drop!!! I had other "accounts" of emails originally on my iPad to check, as it is a big convenience to go to mail and choose the account and it is right there, but I deleted ALL those as well. THE ONLY mail program I have on my iOs is iCloud. Even on my iMac, I turned it off.
I have NO iWork. DIdn't purchase that yet.
I have a lot of APPS and at one time under "manage" it LISTED all the apps and I could turn them "on" or "off" for icloud storage. I turned camera OFF and most all apps EXCEPT notebooks like Noteability, Evernote. NOW, after deleting all my icloud email, I do NOT see them nor the option to "bring them into the cloud or delete them from iCloud useage"....it ONLY will show Writers App and Tweed (never use them). Not sure where that list went!!
Is there some kind of GLITCH that I am experiencing? I want my icloud experience. Is there something I am overlooking?
At one point I changed the settings to back up NOTHING and that FULL icloud did NOT change! And, it still showed the same thing as stated above with mail at 4.7GB. Also, at one point I did ONE (count 'em) icloud back up on my new iPad4 and I DELETED that since I saw this issue as well. (Plugged into my iMac and used iTunes instead).
I really want to have the cloud experience again. Is this some virus-y thing or glitch or am I overlooking something?

I just went to Mass and prayed at Mass for guidance to help find the solution as I am sincerely looking hard and don't have the time (I know, who does, right?). I prayed that if I couldn't find the issue that someone here would be guided to see this and assist me.
Well, after I get home and feed the family, I go online again to look at my iCloud email box on my iMac and just keep looking...yes, it is completely white and clear. I see nothing that can be "MAIL" of 4.7MB. So, then, I turned on my iPad once more just thinking I may have to give up on this and just live w/o it. I re-cheked my AVAILABLE storage for the last time and it was at 5.0!!! I was like "WTH?!!" Then, I re-opened my iCloud email on my iMac and it was still blank but just then my iPad AVAIL (storage) dropped to 4.9GB.
So, as it is now, I have 4.9GB available for icloud storage. OUT OF THE BLUE after so many many hours and all nighters for two days. I'm beat.
It seems in this case perhaps it was some weird odd GLITCH?? That the email deleted and space opened only showed up NOW (ie: a big delay from when I cleared it out yesterday night...about 24hours)???
I will leave this here in case: anyone at Apple sees that there is a problem with this and they are looking for other reported cases...they can update their manuals or update how their product reacts (more real time) OR if someone out there has had similar issues.

I personally think my situation was a delay type glitch where I deleted the over-load and then when I corrected everything, it didn't click in till about 24 hours later...so maybe after you did everything you can, wait 24 hours and see if it self corrects to the right storage amount? Just putting it out there in case anyone experiences anything like this as it perplexes you when you seem to be following all the "rules".

How long did you wait for the systm to catch up to your request for more storage? it can take a little while, up to an hour sometimes I have heard.
If you don't see any more room after waiting a while, try resetting your phone to see if it appears then.

Don't know why my iCloud Storage is gone. Help!

iCloud Storage Error
I try to free up all my devices that use iCloud for backup.
As you can see, the total size is just 663.1MB.
and I do backup only the stuffs like Keynote, Pages and Mail which takes only, 125.2MB, 723.9KB and 78KB.
I don't backup Camera Roll at all.
The total space I am using should be 790MB maximum.
But iCloud service notified me that the available space is only 71MB left.
I am okay to upgrade if it is more logical. I don't know how they count space.
Any ideas/ help ?

I have the same issue. I have no backups on my Ipad, iPhone on icloud, only 124,8MB of Pages, Numbers and Preview documents, 5,9MB of icloud mail and th rest should only be what's ticked, ie. Contacts, iCal, Notes. And out of 5GB I have 444Mb free space. What takes up the rest? And from yesterday, when it was still 660 MB it shrank to this 444MB.
Any ideas?

Why can't I undo a big mistake renaming folders--help my library's wrecked

I was backing up a CD we bought for the kids to learn spanish. I multiple edited all of the album's details to call it spanish cd and after I pressed enter a box appeared that said it was processing, and to my horror all the names of my whole itunes library appeared momentarily as they got worked over. Now my whole library is called 'spanish cd' and no albums are together anymore. I tried to undo the action but cannot. Can anybody pLEEEZE help me. I feel that I will have to reload sixty + CDs. Help, help, help. SOS.
Aidan. PS I tried to unchech boxes that say itunes should arrange folders as one entry on the forum seemed to be saying this causes 'undo' problems in other ways. NO result. Help!!!!

iTunes does not have an undo feature and will not necessarily warn you that you are about to do something catastrophic.
If you have the files on an iPod then you could recover them complete with correct tags using methods in this post from Zevoneer: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6273675&#6273675
Failing that, you could try MusicBrainz PicardTagger. This is supposed to be able to extract an audio fingerprint of your media files and compare them with a database to determine the correct tag info. It works best however when the files are still arranged in related groups.
Unchecking the "Keep iTunes Music folder organised" option now is a horse & stable door scenario. If you'd done that before your mass edit a simple tagging tool could have rebuilt the album titles from each file's folder name.

I want to use my ipod nano as a storage device and transfer my "mac" music files onto "windows" computer. Can i do that?

Not without the aid of some 3rd party software such as XPlay2.
Windows cannot read a Mac formatted drive.
Probably the easiest way to use an iPod on both Mac and Windows computers is to format the iPod (using iPod Updater) using the PC. This will force your iPod to use the Windows file system (FAT32) which both the Mac and PC can read from and write to without the help of additional software. Of course then all your software updates for the iPod will have to be done on Windows.
If you do that, you can use the iPod as a storage drive.

Hi, im quite new to java and im building an application to connect to a database and perfom various searches. the program displays the database data by means of a table.
I can imagine ive done something wrong with the prepaired statements but i cant see what, Any suggestions would be very helpful. Here is the method that i have a problem with:
