Storage location field missed in (migo) details data ,where tab

I am try ing for free goods
I created new document type (copy from subcont document type..)
and create new number range for this doc type and assign to this this document type and assign item category L to this new document type
i defined account assignmet cat with invoce checkbox tick removed
and assing this account assignment cat to item cat L..
i have done allabove settins in spro
now i am going to ME21N
WHEN I am crating subcon P.O system bydefault goods free taken ..
but when i was doing GR (MIGO)for this P.O ..system does not show the storage location in where tab (migo)...but document is posted .. stock can be shown at plant level ..if i go storage location ..stock does not show
I think u have understood what i have done..pls guide me ..where i did mistake

1. Create Subcon P.O for material A0001X500G qty 100 ..Vender dummy. In P.O enter the Account assignment (costumed ...) item cat L... System automatically taken FREE tick mark...And net price value zero.. ..Saved p.o
2. Transferposting MBIB movtype 541 materials provided to subcon dummy vendor. Post the document
3. Then GR for this .P.O...Movtype 101 for P.O material and 543 movtyp for consumed material. Here in where tab storloc not displayed ...this 101 movtype material where it goes...
Material A0001X500G stock is increased and A00020X500G stock is decreased... And I want accounting documents for GR 101 movt material and consumption material 543 materials...
Service charge free ...I think ur under stand my problem...this we are called PACKCONVERSION...Through Subcon P.O....Pls..Guide me...Can we follow this procedure or not...If not...Pls tell another solution for this scenario

Storage location field missing while doing GR with PO number
When I receive goods from a PO, the storage location field missing from MIGO with 101. Material been extended with storage location and entered in PO. But sloc field totally greying out while I receive goods with PO.
I tried other way to receive goods , but storage location disappears when I save it.
MMBE shows stock as on order before reciept , after I post goods, material document created but stock disappears. Not even in the plant.

Hi,
You create the material in MM01 and select the non-valuated stock material type.
When you create a PO for this material the system will ask you to enter an account assignment category (such as K for cost centre etc.) Indicate the GL etc that you want the costs to be posted to (Stationery, office supploes etc.).
When the items are received, post the GR as normal (with MIGO). At GR the total value of the items will be posted to the correct financial accounts and the stock quantities will be updated.
Then when you have consumed anything you post a goods issue (MB1A or MIGO) and this does not post anything to the financial accounts (it was all posted at GR) but it does reduce the stock figures.
This process is ideal for ANY low value / high volume items, because the stock is managed correctly but you do not have many hundreds of tiny financial posting as each low value item is consumed.

RajivIn tcode U have to enter Transaction code VL01N
Transaction variants field just Press F4 to get already buid transaction variant else u have to create the ur screen variant by clicking the button named Create in Below menu option .
If the variant already exist -> enter
u will get the data in the lower half of the screen , select the transaction Variant with field for storage location , generally datais distributed in delivry doc at header and item level so for storage location u have to take the one with item level data .
There u will find the all the fields which are there in Delivery doc at item level with check boxes in front of them please goto storage location field and check the check box saying output field ( This means this field will be display only) Save and try and create the delivery again.
This will be display only in VL01N -
Storage Location field suppressed in MIGO
Hi,
I have entered the Storage Loc. in the PO and when I do the GR, the Storage Loc. field is graded out at the item level, only "Plant" is displayed in the "where" tab. I have unchecked the "Create SLoc. automatically" box in OMB3 for Plant and Movmt Type. Also, in OMJJ the field is unchecked.
Is there any other place where I need to make the changes?
I am trying to post the GR to cost center.

Could you confirm the information below:
1. Check the material type of the item in the PO.
2. Check "Define Attributes of Material Types" of the material type in the specified Plant in the PO.
(SPRO: Logistics - General> Material Master> Basic Settings> Material Types> Define Attributes of Material Types. Select the material type in Step 1 and Double click on Sub-folder "Quantity/value updating".
What is the setting for Qty Updating and value updating for your Plant / Valuation area? If it is similar to UNBW, Qty updating should be selected and value updating should be blank.
If both Qty updating and Value updating is selected for the material type and plant you're using. The SLoc field will be grayed out during receipting, the system will treat this item similar to Case 1.

what i think i sthis report is only for the OPENINGand CLOSING stock for the period or day
now whenu give SL field then system will only concider stock from that SL
the filed of SL will not be viewable in report as it is just opening and closing balance

Check for the below exit, this may be the place where you can implement your code for saving the value.

Making Storage Location field mandatory in Work Order
Hi
As per our proces, if PR is created from work order and if there is no storage location in work order then PO will have warehouse address as a shipping address. So it is expected that PR must have storage location details when it is created from work order to avoid incorrect shipping address in PO.
So, I want to make storage location field mandatory in components tab of work order.
Also I want to avoid the users to deliberately removing the storage location and making it blank.

When ever we purhcase a material , it can be for two purpose
1. Material to Stock
2. Material for Direct consumption
If you wish to stock the material Material No is required and Cost Center Assignment is not required. In this case when you create Goods Receipt (MIGO) storage location will be asked.
If you have given a Cost Center or say any other Account Assignment, then at the time of GR (MIGO) storage location would not be asked, as the system assumes that it is for that particular cost center.
I think in your case you have given some Account Assignment category in your PO. Please check.

we are selling our products in two ways
(1). one is straight from factory ie direct sales from factory
if customer asks for excise invoice then we will sell thru factory and keeping freight in mind we will
deliver him which ever is economical either rail or road.
before coming to second case of selling the goods
we will do STOCK TRANSPORT ORDER from plant to different storage locations.
if we did STO thru road we have to sell the goods thru road only.
if we did STO thru rail we have to sell the goods thru rail route only.
(2). if the customer is not asking any excise invoice then we will send the goods thru depo/storage
location which is not registered under excise.
if the goods came by road then it will be delivered by road only.
if the goods came by rail then it will be delivered by rail only.
my logic here is
basing on the
storage location, transportation types, and distance i want to create condition record
that captures exact frieght at the sales order level.
confirm whether i am right or wrong.

It is not recommended to add new fields to any SAP standard tables. It disturbs the whole SAP functionality.
But if you have no choice expcept to change the standard tables to meet your requirement - then you need an access key to modify the object, which is available from the market place.
Nevertheless, the better option is to create a 'Z' table with the required fields and use that accordingly.
Changing standard tables will have serious impact when you apply patches or do an upgrade on the existing functionality.

Storage location field in service PR

I am not able to find the storage location field in service PR generated through PS. This field is available for material component but not for external activity with service.

an organizational unit allowing differentiation between the various stocks of a material in a plant.

Choose "A - Sales Header", Click New Entries, Create say 55 - Contracts
Click "New Entries", Enter Table = VEDA, Choose Field (Storage Location Field ) and Status.
Click Save
2. IMG --> SD --> BF --> Log of Incomplete Terms --> Assign Incompleteness Procedure
Assign Procedure to sales document Types
WK1 = 55
Then Click save

Storage location field mandatory in PR
Hi ,
We want to make "Storage location" field mandatory in PR for "_Document Type and Account Assignment" Combination._
Like we have a PR document Type ZDM for raise a PR for materials, we want to make STORAGE LOCATION field mandatory if ACCOUNT Assignment in line item is BLANK.
In case Account assignment is K then this field should be NON-MANDATORY and preferrably should be greyed out.
Is there is any standard SAP settings for that

Storage Location field not appearing in Mat Doc.
Dear All,
While doing GR 105 for PO, the Storage Location Field is not appearing in Mat Doc. Moreover, the TO is not getting created immediately while saving the Mat Doc. I don't know why this is happening?
The material has both Qty/Value Updation ticked and all other related configuration is perfect like Mvt. Types/Ref. Mvt. Types etc.
Please help to resolve.

Thanks for your inputs. As I already mentioned confirguartion is perfect yet there is no St. Loc. field being displayed while Mvt. type. 105. I'll provide more information as below:
- PO has Acct. ***. Cat as "P" as it has WBS element.
- Material Type is ERSA
- GR 103 has happened.
