Storage Location in SRM

We are on SRM5.0 and I want to know where the storage locations are stored in SRM and the storage location address.

Hi Antoinette,
The Storage locations get replicated to SRM system when their respective plants get replicated.
They get replicated to SRM system from ECC system using a programme - BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL or  BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_SELECTED or BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_FROM_SYSTEM.
The same can be seen under Extended attributes in the SRM organization structure under locations and the Storage locations will get replicated under Storage locations tab of Extended Attributes.
You can check and maintain the same from the search help.
You can check all the Plants replicated to SRM system in BBP_LOCMAP table.
If all the plants get replicated successfully then all the storage locations assigned to that plant will get automatically replicated to SRM system.

    One more doubt how does a SRM search help in the extended attributes tab can show this storage locations list available in R/3 system

  • Replicate storage location to srm

    Hi,
    we are using srm 3.0 with ebp 4.0.
    We have created new storage location in the R/3 system and replicated them to  SRM system.
    When i try to add the new stroage location in the org structure for a a user in extended attributes it doesnot get updated.
    I select the source system as R/3, doing a F4 search on the Sloc field shows the new storage location and desc  for it. but when i add it and click on save button the storage location is shown added but  the desc is not there , I cant find the storage location when i am trying to shop.

    first the plant must pull in to dtm bbp_locmap  table.

  • Storage Location is not popullating in the PO(for stock materials)

    Hi All,
    we are facing a issue regarding the Storage location in SRM 5.0.(patching SAPKIBKT14) when we try to create a PO with Stock material then the PO will be created but without Storage location.But during the confirmation it will give error saying "Enter Stor. Location ".
    if we enter the storage location manually it will work fine , but we need it should take automatically like other materials.Note:There is not problem if we do SC .. it will populate automatically.
    Please help us.

    Hello Channappa,
    Please maintain storage location in field "Storage loc. for EP" in MRP2 view via transaction code MM02.  Once this is maintained the storage location here, it will automatically populate in the purchase order.

  • Replicating storage locations from SAP SRM

    Dear Experts,
    How to replicate the storage locations from ECC to SAP SRM? How you can restrict the selection of storage location in SAP SRM based on the plant selection? i.e. plant 1000 has three storage locations say 1001, 1002, 1003. Now, when the user selects the plant 1000 as delivery address in direct procurement scenario, then the system should allow only the three values in value help?

  • Schedule lines are creating problem in PO-storage location in SAP

    Hello Everyone,
    We are using SRM 5.0 ECS.
    We create the PO in SRM and send it to R/3 backbend system. When we maintain the schedule line in PO(SRM side),the backbend system is not maintaining the correct storage location from purchase req. And when we do not maintain the schedule line in PO(SRM side), the backbend system maintain the correct storage location from purchase req.
    So here what can be the reason for this problem?

  • Split shopping cart into multiple PO depending storage location

    Hi ,
    In our implemenation (Extended classic-SRM 5.0) , have requiement to  have mutiple Local POs from a shopping cart where there are multiple storage locations for same plant ,same vendor,same purchasing group,same purchasing organization,same delivery date.
      In SRM standard Shopping cart can be splitted into mutiple POs if there are mutiple vendors or multiple purchasing group or mutiple purchaisng orgnization or mutiple delivery date or combination of them but not for mutiple storage location location. As storage location in line item level of PO, SC can't be splitted into mutiple POs in SRM standard.
    Is there any way we can fulfill this requirement. ?

  • Default SC Plant Company code and Storage location Based on Position

    Hi All,
    We are on version SRM 7.02.
    We are using SAP ECC R/3 EHP7 based system as a back end FI and HR system.
    Org structure in SRM is replicated fromm HR system.
    We have case of concurrent employment in the HR org structure , which means one USER can be assigned to multiple Positions in an org structure.
    We have a user A , who is created in Two different org units say O1 , O2 occupying positions P1 and P2, belonging to company code C1 and C2.
    Whenever a SC is created a custom enhancement shows all the user positions to him and he has to choose one from the list of positions.
    Now based on the selected position(P1) , i have to default plant(PL1), storage location(SL1) and Company code(C1).
    Even after defaulting attributes based on the position, user gets an error "company code C1 is not valid for user"
    This error (Message class : /SAPSRM/CLL ; # 135) is thrown from method : /SAPSRM/CL_CH_WD_DODM_SC_I_BD /SAPSRM/IF_CLL_MAPPER~UPDATE
    after getting user's Company code using following method.
    /sapsrm/cl_pdo_shared_user=>/sapsrm/if_pdo_shared_user~get_company_code
    This gets Company code as C2 ; Based on Users Attributes and not based on User Position attributes.
    If i overwrite values fetched by this method in Implicit enhancement, then plant(PL1), storage location(SL1) are not getting fetched.
    Does anyone have any solution for this problem?

              -  Procurement type (maybe F)
              -  Special procurement (Maybe U)
              -  Plant (Maybe 1000).
              - Issuing plant (maybe 2000)

  • Storage location from Shopping Cart is overwritten in PO

    I am trying to convert a Shopping Cart to Purchase order using the sourcing application. However while doing that my Shopping Cart Storage location always gets overwritten by one particular Storage Location in PO. Even if i try and change the storage location to the correct one in PO, it again gets overwritten. This is causing problem during the Goods Receipt.
    I am using the SRM 5.0 version and recently the system got upgraded to Support Pack 9.
    Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.

    Hi Manoj,
    Please go through the following observations based on the information you have provided :
    1. Check the Extended Attributes tab for the user whether the concerned plant and storage location were maintained or not.
    2. Check whether that particular storage location is maintained for the concerned plant or not.
    3. Check for the same using different user and different plant storage location combination.
    Its difficult to say exactly what is the problem but for me it looks to be the storage location is not maintained for a particular plant thats why its taking the default storage location (generally the first one in alphabetical order)
    Please revert after checking the above observations for further help.

       I need some help. I'm working with SRM 5.0. I'm making a standalone scenario. When I created the organizational plan, in the check tab, a error appears. The message is: "Define the attribute LAG". The attribute LAG is the storage location, in the extended attributes tab. I've tried defining this attribute but I couldn't.
    Does anybody know how to create storage locations in a standalone scenario??

    Look at this thread:
    Creating Plants & Locations - Standalone Scenario
    Storage loc is useless in a standalone scenario.
    The "Check" tab makes a generic check on attributes needed for each business scenario, but does not check the integration scenario.
    So you can get rid of this error message.
    You can even deactivate this check on this particular attribute in table BBPV_APPL (SM30), for Confirmation & SC applications.

  • Storage location list during Confirmation

    Hi! I discovered during confirmation of the goods in SRM (SRM 4, extended classic) that when I choose to list the storage location for selection, although only the relevant storage locations are listed, there are gaps in between the storage locations. I suspect that it is taking the sequence of the order in the user attributes.
    For example, if I maintain the attributes in the following fashion:
    Plant   SLoc
    0001   0010
    0001   0020
    0002   0010
    0002   0020
    0002   0030
    On saving the attributes, it will be sorted and shown like this:
    Plant   SLoc
    0001   0010
    0002   0010
    0001   0020
    0002   0020
    0002   0030
    If my order is for plant 0002, on listing the SLoc for the item during confirmation, I get the sloc listed like this
    <blank>
    0010
    <blank>
    0020
    0030
    What I would like to achieve is for the system to show the storage location valid for the plant and as per maintained in the attributes
    0010
    0020
    0030
    Does anyone have similar problem as described? What should be the standard behavior?

    Hi! I found this note 632616 but it is about listed the details of the plants and logical system so that the user knows which storage location to pick. It did not specially talk about the blanks/gaps.

  • Unable to Storage Location in PPOMA

    Hi SRM experts,
    I'm working on SRM7.0 and have the following issue:
    Tcode: PPOMA_BBP
    Tab: Extended Attributes
    Radio button: Storage Locations
    I am able to select my R/3 backend system from drop down but unable find any entries for Storage Locations i.e. when I press F4 in filed stor.location, message "No values found" is displayed.
    If I enter the Storage Locations manually (which I have created in R/3) and press enter, message "No storage location assigned to value, Message no. BBP_ATTR017" is dispalyed.
    Additional info: I have successfully replicated locations (i.e. Plants) from R/3 and able to view the list of Plants from F4 help in the radio button Locations. Due to this, I'm finding an error "Application "Confirmation": Define the attribute LAG" for an user in PPOMA & unable to create any shopping cart.
    Please help.

    Hi,
    To update the location from ECC you need run the report
    BBP_ATTR_TEXT_REFRESH. Please do the following:
    Go to transaction SE38 -> Enter BBP_ATTR_TEXT_REFRESH -> Execute (F8)
    -> Enter 'Attribute'-'LAG', "your backend system" and EN
    -> Run the report (make sure the test mode option is deflagged)
    -> Select all -> Refresh,
    this updates the descriptions from the backend.
    If this not solve the issue, please check in your backend system if
    the note 1175255 is applied. If not, please apply it.
    After performing above mentioned steps - go PPOMA_BBP while adding storage locations under Ext attributes tab:
    1. Input your 'Source System' and select applicable 'Storage location' from the dropdown list and do not key in manually.
    Hope this should resolve your issue.

    "Select a location to which a plant has been assigned".
    I have a plant assigned, but I have no storage locations defined in R3 to feed off.
    Is it the Storage Location that it is referring to ?

    I have an EBP system tightly integrated into R3.
    The plants are from R3 and are linked.
    I went to the Web Interface and created a location and put in the R3 system plant as the related plant.
    I then went to the Org and made that plant the default for my username.
    The problem still persists.
    The location I am using pounts to R3 for the following:
    LOGSYS
    PLANT
    COCODE
    Any idea what I am doing wrong.

    Hi Gurus,
    We have SRM 5.0 - Classic scenario
    We have a request from business to add attribute Storage Location (LAG) for using in Shopping cart. While I understand that we can maintain this under extended attributes in PPOMA_BBP, the issue to begin with is -
    1. How do we get the Storage location attributes populated en masse for all the Plants? It is not possible to maintain them manually.  Is there any replication prog?
    +2. Even if I maintain the Storage location manually, it still does not show in the shopping cart. will this issue be resolved thru FM BBP_ATTR_TEXT_REFRESH (I'm not sure if its a FM or T code)

    How do you order a cart via describe requirement? or good and services?
    you must get stoarge location if you order froma good and services in the basic data.
    1.It is possible to enter manually. just type your storage location . Automatically Plant will be filled with storage
    location.
    Are you geting any error here.
    2.Are succeed to bring to populate Storage location in Ext.Attribute . if it so
    you may need to run the report for staorage location if you dont get for LAG attribute.

    But indirectly
    from SRM org structure -> ex attribute -> location
    go to yr desired plant
    get all the employees assigned to this plant
    In admin log in -> monitor shopping carts
    use these employees as requestors
    and search
    let us know if it suits your need
