Storage location not found in MIGO for 101 movement type

Hi all,
While posting goods receipt in MIGO for purchase order using 101 movement type,i am not getting the storage location field..Though goods is getting posted in migo transaction,it is not getting updated in the stock while seeing it in mmbe...
can anyone help me..

Hi,
When ever we purhcase a material , it can be for two purpose
1. Material to Stock
2. Material for Direct consumption
If you wish to stock the material Material No is required and Cost Center Assignment is not required. In this case when you create Goods Receipt (MIGO) storage location will be asked.
If you have given a Cost Center or say any other Account Assignment, then at the time of GR (MIGO) storage location would not be asked, as the system assumes that it is for that particular cost center.
I think in your case you have given some Account Assignment category in your PO. Please check.

In OMWN - Account grouping , I am not able to find any entry for 101 (Goods receipt for Purchase order B and with no consumption posting ) with Value and Quantity updates . There are entries for 101 movement type with special stock indicator but not able to find any entry for standard good receipt for Purchase orders ( No Special stock Indicator , Value and Quantity update checked , Movement type indicator B and No Consumption posting ). There are no issues with the accounting posting for goods receipt with standard purchase order with BSX being debited and WRX being credited. I am trying to understand the logic for this posting and I am not able to understand from where (customization settings) this posting is derived from. May I request your valuable inputs in understanding this logic.

Not sure where you want to go... but here is a tip
Would it make sense to have value and qty update and no consumption ? it can either one or the other but not both.
Now in prg there are further checks that makes other option possible like a GR for PO that is not valuated.
Remember that these key determination behind the account grp / TE key is a kind of black box where the prg is hardcoded to sort out what keys to take.

Is it possible to make GR/MIGO for a particular type of purchase order document type with a customized movement type..
Can it be so that the purchase order type (document type) is linked only to a particular customized movement type...

Hi,
There is no linkage betwen Purchase order type and the Movement type Yet in SAP.
Movements always depends on what transaction your Doing, like for STO system will not allow you to proceed with 101 movement type to Transfer like wise.
and for customized the movement type you can see in OMJJ Tcode the allowed transaction for processing the same.

Excise Invoice Tab is not display in MIGO for Cancelled document

Hi,
We are execuating the incoming excise cycle then in MIGO and J1IEX.It is perfectly working.But in case of cancellation the excise tab is not dispplaying in MIGO.We are using option "Only Capture and Both Capture & Post".Whatever the excise captured and Posted , it is updated in Excise Invoice tab in MIGO.
As per my understanding the excise tab should come for cancelled doucment also.

check following point
1) tax code in PO ,all excise condition should be there
2) Maintain chapter ID material combination in J1ID
3) Maintain Vendor and Plant excise details in J1ID

and assing this account assignment cat to item cat L..
i have done allabove settins in spro
now i am going to ME21N
WHEN I am crating subcon P.O system bydefault goods free taken ..
but when i was doing GR (MIGO)for this P.O ..system does not show the storage location in where tab (migo)...but document is posted .. stock can be shown at plant level ..if i go storage location ..stock does not show

1. Create Subcon P.O for material A0001X500G qty 100 ..Vender dummy. In P.O enter the Account assignment (costumed ...) item cat L... System automatically taken FREE tick mark...And net price value zero.. ..Saved p.o
2. Transferposting MBIB movtype 541 materials provided to subcon dummy vendor. Post the document
3. Then GR for this .P.O...Movtype 101 for P.O material and 543 movtyp for consumed material. Here in where tab storloc not displayed ...this 101 movtype material where it goes...
Material A0001X500G stock is increased and A00020X500G stock is decreased... And I want accounting documents for GR 101 movt material and consumption material 543 materials...
Service charge free ...I think ur under stand my problem...this we are called PACKCONVERSION...Through Subcon P.O....Pls..Guide me...Can we follow this procedure or not...If not...Pls tell another solution for this scenario

Storage location and post.chge storage location not in the same warehouse

Hi All,
We have HU managed Storage Location, and in this Storage Location we have SUT managed Warehouse, Now while Goods Receipt we have to create inbound delivery, which is working fine and i can see my stock in Goods receipt area,, later on whicle creating Transfer Order to putaway in a bin i have a error message "Storage location and post.chge storage location not in the same warehouse" please help me with this error message. Thank you for all your inputs.

Thank you for the input. I am receiving Stock from vendor and while creating Inbound delivery i created the Handling Unit and also packed it and i could also post it (PG Receipt). Now when i am creating TO i have that error message. The Storage Location where i am receiving is 9001and i have also maintained the partner Storage location,,, its like this Plant(1000)-SLoc(9001)-Partner SLoc(9002).... now the Storage Location 9002 is not HU managed,, the reason i gave this Storage location is, initially i gave 9001, but system said "Storage Location 9001 and 9001 must have different management systems". So now kindly tell me what is the purpose of the partner Storage location and which storage location should i give, as my partner Storage location across "1000-9001-????" thank you again for ur inputs.

Storage location not getting determine in Sales order

Hello All,
Storage location not getting determined in SO, every time when i update picking i have to manually enter the storage location.
I saw few of the response in the SCN but one thing i noticed in my system was, when i enter OVLQ i don't see OR order type, and for order type BV which is present in system assigned to MALA but still when i am creating CS order still storage location is getting determined.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

OVLQ is Delivery type and storage location determination and not for sales order type as you assumed
As per standard for BV cash sales order type subsequent Delivery Type is BV and hence you can see the value MALA against BV
Just check for LF delivery type there would be storage location determination assignment
Storage location is determined at Delivery level and not at order level

I am new to RMI and getting a strange exception. I am using Java 1.5.0_07 both on client and server. They are running on the same machine, the rmi registry is started inside the server application.
I am wondering why java complains about skeletons, I thought they are automatically created when using java 5.0?

Storage bin not found (enter storage type) L3398

Hi,
We have an very critical issue. We have gone live on 14th , only one day before. Now our system is showing the message
"Storage bin not found (enter storage type) L3398.""
We have defined Open storage type in our system where , mix storage is allowed. There are 10 bins in this storage type. There is not capacity check for these bins. Now system is not searching bin from Open storage and we have stucked with TO creation. System is not allowing us to created any TO.

Though there exists many storage bins , the system is not able to find these bins because proper storage unit type is not defined.
System identifies the destination based on the following criteria :
Activate Storage Type Search
Activate Storage Section Search
Activate Storage Bin Type Search

Error: location not found

Hi everybody,
while doing an initial transfer of master data- the location model was cleared successfully, but the materials and work centers int models give an error: location not found with Q msg. TID not giving any details in system log as it says no log found. I am unable to figure out what to look out for now.

Unfortunately, my ABAP is also meager.
The include in your other post does not exist in my system (SCM 5.0) although I have several with similar names. Even if I had any ABAP, I couldn't help much without the code to look at..... You really need to get an experienced ABAPer to sit with you in a debug session. He needs to tell you contents of all the fields that are being used to determine the message, and he should give you a suggestion as to what is wrong.
Beyond that, next thing I'd try is some logical troubleshooting. Find a Material/Plant/customer combination that you KNOW exists in SCM. Create a sales order against this combo, and if it works, then you know the problem is related to the missing Productl/Location Master data.
You have not yet identified to me what contents you found in the failed LUWs, only that the messages were short and cryptic.
While waiting for your ABAPer, you might want to try this:
1. Generate your errored queue. I think I don't have to tell you how to do this.
2. SMQ1 in the ERP. populate client, asterisks for queue name and queue destination. execute.
3. select the errored queue from the list. clik display.
4. Status should be 'sysfail'. Double click on the word sysfail. You will get text of the message that will give a little more information. If the location is not readable (sometimes it is too long to fit into the popup window), close the error message window.
5. Put your cursor on the queue name and clik display.
6. The first LUW in the list is the one you want to see. Should be tagged with an error. Again, put your cursor on the queue name and clik display.
7. Now you are seeing the data contents of the record. It is displayed in hex and in ASCII. You can kind of read the ASCII (text) stuff. Page down until you get to the ascii "I T _ C I F _ M A T L O C".
8. On one of the rows you should see a location type, eg '1 0 0 1, 1 0 0 2, 1 0 0 3, etc (there will be spaces between each number). In the same row, just before this, there will be the name of a location. There may be multiple locations in this LUW, keep paging down, eg, plants, warehouses, shipping points, customers, etc etc. EVERY LOCATION IN THIS LUW MUST PREVIOUSLY EXIST IN SCM before the product/location record can be created. Do they?
9. If they do, and you have tried all the previous steps, then you must assume that 'somehow' the data in SCM is corrupted (this does happen). Delete each of the locations and re-CIF them across, one location at a time. Do not use jobs, do it manually, it will go quickly. Then, try to re-create and re-activate the failed IM (which is a Material Master record).
I am unfortunately on holiday and am now embarking on some travel, so I won't be able to assist any more today. I will try to log on tonite or tomorrow (I am in North America) to see where you have gotten.

Please, I try to explain the following scenary :
I had created one purcharse using ME21N transaction, that it had one service and imputation on cost center (CeCo)
I had created document using ML81N and accepting.
I can lookup posting document FI and it is correct.
I can lookup posting document profit center cost
But it did not create posting on COPA. Because It did not have configuration or specified OKB9: Cost Ctr (KSTAR) assigned - > Cost element master (KOSTL).
When I am excuting this report S_ALR_87013611 - Cost Centers: Actual/Plan/Variance.
I are seing income as statistical posting under cost centres.
Cost centres cannot have 'real' income postings. It is correct.
Because Cost Ele category is equal “12” and (Cost Ele category 11 or 12) are posted AS statistical on cost centers.
Finally:
Bussines need that "posted as statistical on cost centers" => it should create on COPA.
We are thinking that we can using a cycle in KEU5 transacction.
But whem we are executing transaction KEU5 son it get this message:
– It does not found senders (emisor) for segment.
Unfortunately, I am not found one note oss.
Could you check this and recommend the best option? or could you recommend any note oss, please?

I am thinking about your recomendation about using substitucion (OKC9) to derivate the PAOBJNR as reael account assignment.
It will probably be good idea but Step(Okc9) does not derivate or move characteristics to RKE_GET_ACCTNR Function. Because we dont not know this characteristics.
We had reviwed cost line items for cost center and we are seeing that all document are Material Document and this document dont have fields to derivate characteristics.
Another alternative:
Transaction KA02 change category element.
Field change CElem Category is not possible (transaction data already exists)
Diagnosis
To ensure the consistency of existing data, you can only change object CElem Category if no transaction data exists in the change period; that is, neither plan data nor actual data has been posted.
As transaction data already exists, it is not possible to change objects in this time period.
Procedure
If you still want to change the object, select a suitable change interval by choosing "Edit -> Analysis period...".

Are you creating a goods issue with reference to a reservation? If so, the documentation states that the storage location is only needed if it's not in the reservation.
The following fields may have to be populated in some cases (this is not a complete list):

Please do following checklist:
1. Check that the J2EE engine is up and running (e.g. log in with Admin)
2. Check that the following application is running:
     Visual Admin => Cluster => Server => Services => Deploy
     Select "Application" and look for "sap.com/tclmctcutilbasic_ear
3. Try to continue installation
It could be helpful to apply the patch for CTC as per note # 938261
before restarting.
and also try to add more memory allocation.
If issue persists,
- I'd like to know which installation DVD/CD number being using ?
- The contents of the LABEL.ASC file.
- The installation guide reference and title used for this install ?
- SAPINST version ?
- Oracle version/patch level ?
- Operating system version/patch level ?

MIGO 101 movement type- Excise tab.

Excise tab is not coming for the movement type of 101 in migo, For all other movement type's ,it ll come, why reason???
I made all settings in J1ID.

Hi ,
I am also having the above said problem, But in my case both the materials are maintained by value and quantity. What else could be the issue ? One material value is maintained with standard price for another it is maintained with moving average price. For moving average price maternail the storage location is getting displayed.
Your inputs will be helpful.
