Storage location on MRP-list

Hi! I am trying to add Storage Location to the Purch.Requisition during a MRP-run. What prerequisites are necessary in order to achieve this? The business scenario is StockTransportOrders from Plant to Plant, where we want the storage location of the issuing plant to appear on the requisition (and hence be displayed on MD04): Any hints would be appreciated.

Hi and thank you for your answer. I have tried to maintain storage location, and planned the st.loc. separately, but that is not enough - it seems. The SAP note 355493 desribes the essense of what I am seeking, but the note did not solve this issue regarding Purch.Req's

  • Excluding storage location from MRP run in Long Term Planning

    Hi,friends,
In my scenario , i want to exclude storage location from MRP run in long term planning. When i set storage location MRP indicator "2" in SPRO and SLoc MRP indicator "1" MRP4 in material master, i can exclude the storage location after run MRP with MD01/MD02,and i can see the expected result in MD04.But in Long Term Planning scenario the storage location can not be excluded after run MRP with MS01/MS02,and the requirements list in MS04 include the stock in the storage location i want to exclude. i dont know if i miss something.Plz give me some advice.
    Regards

    Hi,
Refer the OSS Note 208017 - LTP: Long-term planning and storage locations
    ==========================================================================
    Symptom
In long-term planning (Transactions MSBT / MS01 / MS02 / MS03), the MRP indicator of a storage location for a material is not taken into account (material master, view MRP 2 [up to and including Release 3.1I] or MRP 4 [as of Release 4.0A]).
The storage locations excluded by MRP or planned separately are also planned in the plant segment.
    Additional key words
LTP, MM01, MM02, MM03, master data, MRP indicator, LGORT ...
    Cause and prerequisites
The MRP indicator for a certain storage location of a material is only taken into account in operative planning (requirements planning, MRP).
The long-term planning occurs exclusively at plant level.
    Solution
This is no error. The system works as intended.
The individual storage locations should not be distinguished in the long-term planning, in order to perform a comprehensive long-term planning.
This is important, for example, within the kanban processing where the storage locations with kanban MRP are excluded from the MRP, but in spite of that should be included in the long-term planning.

  • I want to exclude a storage location from MRP

I want to exclude repair storage location from MRP so that the stock with repairs storage location should not be considered for other demands.
Also repair storage location stock should not be calculated against 'stocks'  term in MD04.
How to do this ? Pls share.

    Hi,
In transaction OMIR, choose your plant & then for the storage location you want to exclude from MRP enter 1 (exclude from MRP).
After this setting is maintained, whenever a material is created in this plant & storage location, it will have MRP indicator as "1" in the mrp 4 view .
For materials already in this storage location if the MRP indicator "1" is not maintained in mrp 4 view, please go for a mass change maintenance in the material master & maintain this indicator.
Stock in the excluded storage location will not add up to the stock which is displayed in the top in the md04 screen. This stock will be displayed separately in the bottom of the screen.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

  • Deactivation of storage locations from MRP run

    Hi gurus,
How can i deactivate a particular storage location from MRP in a particular plant.
    Regards
    Kaisar

    Hello,
There are 2 ways of doing that.
    1. With the Transaction OMIR and selecting th indicator 1 Storage location stock excluded from MRP
This storage location will be excluded from MRP.
    2. For a Specific Material(s), if you want the Storage location to be excluded from MRP:
You need to select the storage locatio MRP indicator as 1 in MRP4View of the Material.
    Some concerns:
Your Materials are extended to the St.location say xxxx.
Now if you want this storage location to be excluded from the MRP.
By simply seeting the Customization settings will not work.
You need to manually select the MRP4 view and change the St.Loc MRP Indicator to 1.
The Materials created after this customization setting will adopt this settings automatically.
    Hope this helps..

  • Need to exclude storage location from MRP.

    Hi Gurus,
Is there an option to exclude a specified storage location from MRP at configuration level. But not at material level as in MRP4 view.
We have excluded the stoarge location in config OMIR, however the system considers that stock if the same is not excluded in MRP4 of that material.
Now, the problem is every time i need to go to the material master of every material  i have to excude from MRP, which is very time consuming..!
Please advise me is there any option in point of view of Storage Location,  just simply  define the storage location to be excluded from MRP run.
    Thanks in advance.
    Naveen.

    Dear,
Yes you can do it though OMIR or MMSC 1-Storage location stock excluded from MRP.

  • Exclude purchase order on storage location from MRP

    Hi Everyone,
We have excluded storage location 1200 from MRP.
The result shows only stock on 1200 excluded from MRP, PO on storage location 1200 (storage location 1200 in PO) still considered in MRP.
Is there any way to exclude PO on 1200 i MRP also?
    Best Regards,
    Bin

    Dear,
Go to MRP 4 view of the material master .
In the field SLoc MRP indicator field "1".
If it is for a material than in the material master level it can be done. If you are looking for all materials in that storage location, than it is better to define this in SPRO->Production->MRP-->Planning-->Define Storage Location per MRP plant. Here for that storage location in that plant you need to define "2" - Storage location stock planned seperately or "1" - Exclude Storage location from MRP.
Also u can use t.code MMSC.
Select Material & Plant and Assign MRP =1 for the Sloc to be excluded

  • How to exempt a storage location from MRP run

    Hi all,
How do I exempt a storage location and all its materials from MRP run.
I am creating a new storage location and this should not be considered for MRP and  no idoc should be generated if a purchase order or a delivery is created from this storage location( should we stop entering this storage location in BD64 filters or anything more to prevent triggering of the idoc).
Can somebody please through some light on these issues.

  • To exclude Storage location frm MRP run

    Hi Friend s
In my secnario MRP should not consider the storage location  stock planning
i using stratgey 11 gross req planning ,
and  (SPRO), In MRP  -define storage location MRP  per Plant , i set the indicator 1 i.e storage location stock excluded frm MRP
But still i mrp considers  stoge location stk .
    is there any setting ?
    Regards
    Sandeep

    Sandeep,
For strategy "11" system automatically will not consider storage location stocks, so no need to define that in SPRO>MRP->Planning-->Sloc MRP/Plant as told by you.
    Couple of checks....i would suggest.
    1. Check whether you have maintained "2" - Mixed MRP indicator in MRP3 view.
    2. Check whether the PIR you have created is having requirement type "BSF".

  • To exclude SCARP storage location from MRP

    Hi Gurus,
We have a issue regarding the scrap Quantities. we need to exclude these materials from the available stock for MRP. We have a setting in the MRP available stock with Blocked stock not checked and restricted stock checked.
My question is if we un check the restricted stock, is the MRP will not consider the stock in scrap storage location.
Please help to find the solution.
    Thank you.
    naveen.

    Hi,
Your scrap str location is not either blocked or restricted str location. This is a regular str location but the name is scrap location.
System will consider this str location as a regular str location. So do setting to exclude this str location from MRP as previous member explained.

  • Replenishment between Storage Location with MRP Planning

    Dear PP Gurus,
I need you expertise on the below question.
I have a plant with multiple Storage Locations. One Storage Location is Main Warehouse and another ilocation s External Warehouse (3PL) where excess stock are kept due to storage capacity in the Main Warehouse.
Now the requirement is replenish the stock to Main Warehouse from the External Warehouse with Stock Transfer using MRP trigger the Stock Transfer.
I know the setting in MRP 4 View in the material master, the Indicator to set to 2, maintain a reoder point in the Sloc: 1200 and Replenishment Qty: 1500 and Special Procurement Type: (what should be the setting)
My question is where to set the target Sloc and source Sloc, then only system will trigger the replenishment Stock Transfer?
The storage location which is plan separately, will have a different segment. Therefore, in terms of the availability check for the Sales Order it will consider as normal based on the scope of check.
    Appreciate the reply
    Thanks & Regards
    Pooja

    Dear ,
1.You need  to set up the MRP for Plant with group of storage location  and run MRP-MD01 .You can try SCOPE of planning -OM0E.
As an information : In standard MRP I, f you have several storage location for your plant, you cannot plan for them separately unless you assign them to a separate MRP area.If a storage location (alone) is assigned to an MRP area, it means you wan to plan for it separately. If several storage locations are assigned to an MRP area (or let's say to a plant), it means you want to plan using all of them - and you cannot choose only one and plan for it (you can exclude a SLoc from planning w/o assigning it to MRP area).
2.Find steps for config for activating Sloc to Sloc transfer within plant using STO : -
follow path: SPRO--> Materials Management -->Purchasing -->Purchase Order -->Set up Stock Transport Order -->Set Up Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations
    1. Activate Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations
    2. Assign Delivery Type and Checking Rule According to Storage Location
purchase document category 'F' , here use PO type UB, supplying plant, issue sloc and delivery type , (prefer to create new delivery type by copying delivery type 'NL' replenish delivery
    3. Define Shipping Data for Stock Transfers Between Storage Locations
for plant defind sales org and distribution chenal and devision
select the pline and go to sloc
assign there customer (created for sloc)
    4. Define Rule for Determination of Shipping Point
for newly created delivery type set L storage location specific shiping poing determination
    5. Assign Shipping Points According to Storage Location, assign her sloc based shiping poing determination
at last when you will create PO put issue storage location, system will determine shiping data based on config done.
after this process will be same as STO plant to plant using shiping.
You will need to mention the issuing storage location during posting the delivery,
    ie, ME21N - Create STO
    VL10B - Create Delivery
VL02N - Post Goods issue - here you will need to mention the issuing storage location
Refer : STO process -Std in SAP
Hope it is clear to you .

    Hi Krish,
Go to following IMG path and check out your settings -
    IMG>>>Production>>>MRP>>>Master Data>>>>MRP Areas>>>
    (1) Activate MRP for MRP Areas    -
      Is that activated?
(2)Define MRP areas>>>> Do setting s as per Storage Location
    Then run MRP.
    MRP Areas
In this IMG activity you define whether MRP is to be carried out with MRP areas. In addition, you define the MRP areas for each plant in which you would like to carry out this type of materials requirements planning.
The MRP area represents an organizational unit which carries out materials requirements planning independently. The results of the planning run are displayed specifically for each MRP area. An MRP area can include one or several storage locations of a plant or stock with a subcontractor.
You can assign a material to various MRP areas.
Basically, there are three types of MRP areas:
    Plant MRP Area
Initially, the plant MRP area includes the plant with all its storage locations and stock with subcontractors. When you have defined MRP areas for storage locations and for subcontractors and you have assigned the materials, the plant MRP area is reduced by exactly this number of subcontractors and storage locations, as they are now to be planned separately.
    MRP Areas for Storage Locations
You can define an MRP area that consists of a particular storage location by creating an MRP area and assigning the storage location to it. Material requirements for this storage location are then planned separately from the rest of the plant. You can also group several storage locations into one MRP area by creating an MRP area and assigning the storage locations. These storage locations are then planned together.
    MRP Areas for Subcontractors
You can also define an MRP area for each subcontractor. Using an MRP area, it is possible to plan the components to be provided in subcontracting, by defining an MRP area for each subcontractor and assigning the components to be provided. You can therefore plan the requirements to be provided for these components for one subcontractor separately from the usual requirements.
Up to now, MRP at plant level had been carried out. The various requirements were combined in the planning run and procurement elements were created for these pegged requirements with unknown sources.
The introduction of MRP areas enables you to carry out material requirements planning and know the source of the pegged requirements and to be able to distinguish between them. The source of the pegged requirements can be, for example, production on a particular assembly line or a subcontract order.
Material requirements planning for each MRP area allows you to have specific control over the staging and procurement of important in-house production parts and purchased parts for each shop floor and assembly area.
Hope this will give you more idea about the same.
