Storage location selection in RQAAAS10 QA07

hello
i want to run trx qa07 storage location wise.
is it possible to run this report for specific storage locations?
or is there any user exit to control inspection lot or material document creation for storage location?
my main purpose is
1- create inspection lot and material document only for ( storage location x)
but if if it is not possible, material creating material document in storage location wise will also solve my problem.

what you mean by one by one?
there is only material in selection screen. there is no field like storage location?
the problem is because of decentralised warehouse scenario. system do not allow to make stock movement from decentralised WM storage location and regular storage location at the same time. If same batch is in different storage location, we have problem. if there is no stock in decentralised WM managed storage location, there is no problem with material document from different storage locations.
So we have to options:
1- not to allow stock movement for decentalised WM managed storage location
2- to do another material movement for each storage location

Could someone explain to how the Storage locations are selected when I run transaction MICN.
Our settings in config are like this
I have a material in one storage location, it has never been counted. I run the transaction MICN for that material in my plant with today's date nothing is returned. I change the date to one year in the future and the system returns many locations including the one the material is in. I can comprehend that because the count date is empty in the mard table, I have to enter a future date but why do I get many location where the material is not even stored in?
By the way as we only want to count all our items once per year, they have all been set with the letter D in the material master.

Where do you see the advantage of cycle counting if all your materials are classified with D?
In that case you can just use MI31 and do annual inventory.
If you have no last count date, then SAP uses the creation date if the accounting view.
Which is for all materials equal if you loaded them before go-live.
And the storage location is coming from MARD table, all locations for which your material was created. And because you did not activate the box to exclude the materials with zero stock.

Automatic storage location selection while doing usage decision

hi gurus,
My client wants to do automatic determination of storage location depending upon usage decision.
i.e. if usage decision is reject than gr to be done at rejection storage location. if usage decision is accepted than gr to be done at respective storage location.
The storage location can be changed manually but they require automatic determination of storage location.

select selected set that u used for the plant that u select
in posting proposal ud tab u select inventory posting automatically for return delivery , unrestricted stock etc

Storage location selection for variable size item

Hi All
There is a BOM of finished good Material "XYZ" and there is a component "A" in the BOM. This Component A is a variable size item, its a metallic bar of length 4 meters. In BOM XYZ, only 1.5 meters is consumed.
Now when a production order is made for XYZ and the confirmation is done with movement type 261. All the materials are backflushed along with component A . The client's requirement is to transfer the remaining length of component A (i.e. 4 - 1.5 = 2.5 meters ) to a different storage location at the time of confirmation.
Please let me know how is it possible.

FULL STEPS:
1.first do mb1b 311 mvmt transfer posting for the components from raw-stor location to prod stor location. you can do for A
2. do GI for the components. for A for that final product . consume 1.5 so. the remaining component will be (3 ) there in the stor. location as per sap. (check in mmbe)
3. then do mb1b 311 transfer posting for the A component to raw-stor location. from the prod stor location.
or rever the transfer posting mb1b 312.

Can PIR created at wbs element and MRP area of storage location level

Hi,
I tried to create an planned independent requirement at MRP area and WBS element level, but failed. The MRP area is not plant level, but storage location level.
*When trying to create account assignment category Q for it, then there is an error message saying:*
**only stock requirements are allowed when planning at MRP area level.**
Does it mean it is not possible to create planned independent requirement for this case?

Select the "Issue storage location" as '2' here:
spro -> production -> material requirement planning -> mrp groups -> overall maintenance of mrp groups -> overview -> mrp control parameters at material level -> (field) Issue storage location selection
& make sure:
1. In the BOM issue storage location is blank for the components
2. For the FG products , in mrp area prod.storage loc is maintained
3. Components are extended to the mrp area.

Storage Location Authorization

I want to authorize user A to make material movements in     Plant 1001 Storage 1000, 1001, 1002...9000
                                                                                Plant 1002   Storage 9000
                                                                                Plant 1003   Storage 9000 etc.
So, first I followed path SPRO - MM - Inventory Management and Physical Inventory - Authorization Management - Authorization check for storage management   and enabled storage authorization.
Then In PFCG under Goods Movement: Storage Location I selected related storage locations and plants as above but it still allowed user A to make movements to storage 1001, 1002 of plant 1002 and 1003.
In our system every plant has storage locations called 1000,1001,1002...9000. Does the system recognize the storage locations selected in PFCG according to the plants selected. To be more precise, ıf I select, 1001, 1002 and 1003 for plants, and
(plant-storage loc) (1001-1000, 1001-1001, 1001-1002, 1002-9000) does the system recognize it as if I want to be authorized for 1002-1000, 1002-1001,1002-1002 ?

You can do it additive, for instance.
Only can create movement 101 and 102, others only view them:
ACTVT = 01,02
BWART = 101, 102
LGORT = *
WERKS = *
and add newly the object M_MSEG_LGO with other parameters.
ACTVT = 03
BWART = *
LGORT = *
WERKS = *
Of course, you have other auth.objects (eg: M_MSEG_BWF, M_MSEG_WMB,...). If other object avoid that the user can do it, run tcode SU53, it will tell you what object avoid that user can do it.

Storage location as selection criteria in MC42

Transaction MC42 gives a very good information for stock management, however we need to have the analysis restricted by storage location.
Is it possible to create a new Z program by copying RMCBRW30 and add "Storage Location" as selection criteria? Or there is another standard solution?

Have you ever looked into the coding of this program ? and read how the data is retrieved and from which source?
Just adding the location as selection criteria is not sufficient.
Most important would be to have knowledge how the data is captured and stored in infostructures. If it is not stored with storage location as aggregation level, then you will not have a chance to get the result according to storage location.......except.......you are doing planning at MRP area level (a MRP area can be a storage location). And MRP area is already in the selection.

I have shelf life expired material at different storage location. When ever i run QA07.System generates inspection lot for all storage location.But I want to process the inspection lot for only one storage location. Please guide me how can we map this reqmnt.

Hi,
Next inspection date is maintained at the batch level, not at the storage location level.
You can suggest the following solutions if it is feasible in your business scenario.
Scenario 1: Batch is inwarded in one storage location"A" & stored for some time, then it is transfered to other storage loactions B & C (like production storage locations).
In this case suggest to transfer the batch to storage loactions B & C just one or two days before the actual consumption of the batch & also keep the opening period in QA07 sufficient days (between 10-15 days), so that the sytem will create the inspection lot in one storage location "A" . Since the batch is still not transfered to B & C, the system will not create inspection lots in B&C.
Scenario 2: Batch is inwarded in all the storage locations with the same batch number.
In this case suggest to inward the same bacth with different batch numbers, keeping the all other characteristic values same

This gets especially annoying because if I tell Itunes to store my "media" in my user/music folder, Itunes will then create a folder named "music" in my "music" folder and will also create additional folders in my user/music folder location to store other non-music media in as well. It is very annoying to see this lack of affinity for folders between two Apple created programs.

Automatic selection of products in a plant but differant storage locations

Hi Gurus
Here is a requierment from our client that is they maintain differant storage locations based on differant prices however they want automatic selection of products during sales order entry, based on manufacturing date like FIFO comparing differant storage locations with in a plant. if you have come across these scenario and other solutions relate to this
please share your experiance

yes, we have come across this. first, your material should be batch managed specifying FIFO. then, inventory/availability search should be plant level instead of storage location level.

in MB51, go to storage location field than click option multiple selection
then give required storage locations

check if you can use S_P00_07000139 report, select "Display stock movement by plant (with amount) and further select Sloc from layout.

Storage location wise Opening/Closing Stock on posting date (mb5b)

Hi,
Report mb5b gives opening stock and closing stock as on date. In the selection screen, if we do not enter specific storage location then the opening/closing stock is displayed as sum of all storage location stocks for a given material.
Where as if we enter storage location, it gives storage location specific output. (with Storage loc/batch stock radio button)
My requirement is - without entering storage location in the initial screen, the system should display storage location specific opening/closing stock.
To get this, presently I need to execute mb5b transaction individually for every storage location.

This report you can have in T code MC.6 and another t code for opening and closing stock in t code MC.9

Is there any standard report to view opening and closing stock at storage location level? ( we have MB5B which resets the entry screen if we enter SLOC details).

Do I have the option of selecting Storage Location wise opening and closing stock on a particular date or period, that is what I have requested? Is it possible, evenafter selecting storageloc/batch stock and entering all the SLOCs in the selection creen, the report output does not contain any SLOC, and using ctrl+F8 or display variant does not have SLOC as a field also.

I am fetching data from mc.9 in my program but if the use enter multiple storage in selection only 1st value is printed following is code and how will i come to know which material is for which storage location since mc.9 data is not getting stored anywhere

while append to internal table even if i specify both high and low value it prints low and high incorrectly how will this problem will solved

I simulated the code given by you and all the storage locations are being populated in the backed.
You can check this by putting a breakpoint at the below code in RMCB0300 and checking the value of sl_lgort[]. You will receive the number of SLOC inputs provided.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
FLG_FOUND = FALSE.
PERFORM SPEZIAL_AT_SELECTION_SCREEN_O IN PROGRAM (LIS_PROGNAME)
                                        CHANGING FLG_FOUND
                                        IF FOUND.
This is a data issue and you may not have any records for the selected input.
