Storage problem - unused storage disappeared

Hi,
I have a problem with the storage of my hard drive.
The Notebook is a Lenovo 3000 N200 (0769-B3G) and my OS is Windows Vista Home Premium.
I'm having the original hard drive of this notebook with around 112 GB. This hard drive is split in 2 partitions. The first is 6,42 GB and contains the Lenovo recovery data and the second is 105,37 GB.
Now my Notebook informs me, that my hard drive storage is almost full (unused: 34,6 MB). I sum up the used storage of all folders. In addition to that I've installed an application named "TreeSize" to check the used storage. My calculation and the result of the program is around 55 GB. That means that 50 GB are unused. I don't understand that and I would like to ask, what is the problem and where could I get my unused storage?!
Maybe someone knows this problem and could help me :/

found it!!!!!!
right pal think i have found it how to stop your backups
D/B (double click) on the orange lenovo care on your desk top
you will get a menu come up
click on data protection and recovery
then a side menu appears
click on 'back up data'
then a box appears
D/B click on 'preferences' button
and the box will open up another box which is seperated into
four sections
un tab(no tick in box)  'schedule your back ups'
then click apply and ok.
no more scheduled back ups.
but if this is the case,you will need to check which of the backups you need to keep.
i kept the very first one on the list.
check first how many backups your system has done,then you can work out
the Gb useage.
i hope i am correct in stating the above.

    Your files should be available from the browser at https://creative.adobe.com/files once signed in with your Adobe ID.
    On your local computer the files should be in the Creative Cloud Files folder.

  • Storage Disappeared! Sort of...

    Hello all,
    I'm running a single host instance of VDI3.0 on a Sun Fire x2200. The storage backend is a Unified Storage 7110. I recently updated the 7110 to the latest firmware version - after which, VDI tells me that my storage is unresponsive. The system shows me as having no storage whatsoever, but yet I am typing this forum post from a virtual machine that was booted and running from the "missing" storage pool.
    As a result of this madness, I am unable to import and boot any new virtual machines. I attempted to add a new storage backend to the system, and when I put in the credentials of the 7110, it does not present the system with a certificate. I can, however, ssh directly into the storage from the VDI provider host.
    I appreciate any insight, because I am totally at a loss on this one.

    Hi Bob.
    I suppose you use the 2009.Q2.0.0 version of the 7110 software? The SSH ciphers offered by the SSHD of that release have not a single match in the ciphers list of the SSH client of VDI 3, therefore all SSH connections fail. This issue is currently fixed for the upcoming VDI 3 patch to be released end of this month.
    If you are really in the urgent need of a workaround - and I can't emphasize enough that this workaround isn't even sanity tested yet, so apply it on your own peril - you can download the 1.41 version of the jsch library from http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/jsch/jsch-0.1.41.jar?download. Shutdown the VDI service on every VDI host ("cacaoadm stop --force"), replace old library at /opt/SUNWvda/lib/jsch-0.1.39.jar with the new one (you need to rename the new library to match the name of the old library) and restart the VDI services again ("cacaoadm start").

  • Problem with images disappearing from project

    I have inserted a number of images into my Robohelp 9 project topics using the Insert >> Image function.  Typically the images were stored on my hard drive on my pc, but some I pulled from a shared network drive that were prepared by other people.  They seemed to load into the project OK.  I had them grouped in a about 5 different robohelp folders to keep them organized so after I would insert, complete my topic and save.  I would move the images to their respective folder.  This was fine for a while,  I had no problems generating printed .pdf documentation, making changes to my topics, etc.  But now the images keep disappearing from the Robohelp folder structure and the printed documentation.  I can see the images when I open up and view the topics.  I can also see them when I look out onto the drive on the computer.  However, they do not show up in the Robohelp  Project Manager and are not included in my printed output.  I keep re-inserting them, but they continue to disappear.

    Certainly it won't hurt anything to add the images to baggage files, but I'd be shocked to find that solves the problem.
    If an image has been used in RoboHelp, it should be present in the project. End of story. The fact they seem to be disappearing seems to suggest that maybe something has gone awry with folder naming or image naming or the project in general.
    So what version and flavor of RoboHelp are you using?
    RoboHelp 10, RoboHelp 9, RoboHelp 8, etc.

    I created partition , It is some times showing and some times disappearing ,if i did any modification sequantly im getting this , right now its not showing any thing under paririon either source database , targt database both r disappearing , I retarted the server also wat may be the problem , I think after loading the data into cube we cant do modification , if we want to do we have to clear th data and do the modification ,dim buld etc...
    so wat can i do to show srce and trgt databases under the parition
    this is really headache,,, for all the trgt cubes happening like this , experts plz help on his;...........

  • Problem caused from disappear my unit number.

    Hey, I’m Verizon user got two of iPhone.
    Beginning is like this…
    I didn't receive a bill in May. Some Verizon guy called and told me that there is no unit number in my address. so the bill returned. so I re-enter my unit number over internet.
    Next month. I can get the all of bill. but the late-charge is included in the bill.
    Now,I already paid everything.
    What I want to say is... the unit number was disappeared by unknown issue.
    I got the previous bill which have unit number. I can also show you my bill I received before.
    Obviously, There is unit number in my previous bill.
    What I want to say is like this.
      1. I think I don't need to pay late charge. do you agree? (probably, you Verizon has some problem on database of clients information)
      2. I need to verify you Verizon whether or not there’s no problem in my credit score.

    Any reason why you couldn't have created your MyVerizon account online shortly after starting the service? Then you could have downloaded a PDF copy of the bills even printed them to remit payment and avoided late fees.

  • Anyone had problems with apps disappearing when no one has actively deleted them?

    My apps keep disappearing. I get the grey question mark through an app yet no one has deleted anything, the app has just gone. Not in trash, not in apps...  Any ideas why?

    Hard drives fail. They just do after X amount of time. Nothing new about that. Worrying? Yes if you don't have a backup of your files. That is why both Apple and Microsoft include progams/apps for backing up the system in with the operating systems.
    How old is your iMac? Since you are running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 it is at least 2.5 years old if not older.
    I'm not saying your drive is on its way out but it could be one cause of the problem you are experiencing.
    Open Disk Utility and verify the drive and repair it if needed. But if you do need to do a repair you might want to think about having it replaced.

  • TOC Problem: Leader Lines disappeared after I've changed the font

    Hi,
    I am having a strange problem with Pages (I use the version in iWork 08). I am currently writing on my dissertation. I have used Helvetica while typing because it reads better on the screen. However, after changing the font to Georgia (for the final printout), my TOC got all messed up.
    First, I had beautiful leader lines that looked like this:
    Heading one ................. [page number]
    This was the default option. I did not change a thing. Then, after changing the font and the margins of the document, the leader lines disappeared and I could not get them back, even after setting them manually. Right now the entries look like this:
    Heading one [page number]
    ...which is very ugly.
    Any help is highly appreciated. I do not want to hand in the paper like this. (Also, switching the font back to Helvetica did not bring back the leader lines. This seems to be a strange bug in Pages.)

    Sounds to me as if the tab that the leader lines were attached to have been lost in your changed style, or have popped off the right hand margin. Leaders go with the tab which should be holding the right hand text in place. No tab, no leader.
    I have noticed a bug with tabs in Pages where if you have multiple tabs that should fit within a given space, the last one may not register and falls over to the next line.

  • Problems with emails disappearing

    Since Sunday I have been having terrible problems with my email accounts though iMail. I have 4 different accounts coming though iMail and the problem seems to be with all of them. On Sunday I watched my entire inbox get wiped clean in front of my eyes. It seemd like the 60 emails I had in my account were all moved into Trash. And since there random emails have been disappearing. Is there a ghost in my computer?

    Try closing the mail app completely in the recents tray, reboot the iPad - and then try mail again.
    Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the mail icon. Tap the home button.
    Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

    I have had issues with my iphone deleting emails without my consent. It seems as if it doesn't want to hold onto emails for an extended amount of time. I use my iphone for all work related emails and personal. I have created folders to store important emails in related to work. I found when I need to retrieve those emails, they simply are not there. I was told to delete the email account from my iphone, then to add it back into phone. I have done this and things seem fine, then after a few days it no longer works. I have researched this topic and see that I am not the only one with this problem. From what I can find no one seems to have the answer. Please help?

  • Creating Page Layout Problem : Page Content Disappears

    Hello,
    I am a recent grad and new to the world of Sharepoint and ASP.
    I created a Page Layout with 3 columns and I implemented the 'Page Content' in each column.
    When I enter anything ( Text or HTML)  in the Page Content and save, it immediately discards what I entered and saved.
    What am I doing wrong?

    According to your post, my understanding is that Page Content Disappears after you save the created Page Layout.
    The issues is caused by that Page Layout is not assocaited with the content type.
    Please make sure you create Page Layout correctly. You can refer to:

  • Problem with folders disappearing

    I hope someone can shed light on this very puzzling problem.
    In summary, I copied three folders (about 25GB, 1000's of files) from an almost full partition to an almost empty partition. After the copy operation (which I later found out did not complete), a folder on my target disk, unrelated to the copy operation, is missing. Using the "WhatSize" program, it seems that an amount of space about what the missing folder would be is unaccounted for on the target disk.
    My intent was to copy the three folders to an emptier spot and delete the originals to regain space on the almost full partition. Thank heavens I didn't do that. Now I'm not sure I have the confidence to delete anything.
    Some details:
    I created the missing folder a few minutes earlier, moving about six other folders into it, just to consolidate them and reduce directory clutter.
    After the copy operation, when I discovered the folder was missing, I started looking at the results of the copy, and found that it had terminated prematurely, leaving about half of the last of the three folders uncopied. I manually checked contents using two parallel finder windows, and copied the uncopied files/folders.
    The two partitions are on the same drive, the only two partitions there.
    The screen went to sleep (or at least to screen saver) during the copy operation. The computer is set to never sleep, nor to turn off disks.
    The "copy from" partition was actively network-shared at the time, though not accessed.
    I can't locate the missing folder in trash, finder search, spotlight, terminal, anywhere. It seems to be truly missing, although its space still seems to be allocated. Disk repair does nothing.
    Any thoughts?

  • PSE 6 - problem with photos disappearing from Slideshow

    Hello,
    I worked on a slide show recently and then exported it to a .wma file. I returned to the slide show project in Elements a couple of days later to add another slide. Out of the 27 slides only three were intact. In 25 slides, there were no longer any pictures, but the captions were intact. The other one that was intact was a slide with just a caption. Also the timestamp on the slide show project was 2/12/2009 at 10.37 but I saved changes on 2/14 and those were saved (like the slide with just the caption I mentioned above) I don't know what happened or how I can get back to where it was before.

    I dont think that would normally occur, so something screwy was going on with your installation. Lightroom can import a PSE catalog, but it should never overwrite it. But Im not a Lightroom expert perhaps someone else more knowledgeable can help on that.

    There are many potential problems that occur when you upgrade from PSE 6 to PSE 7. Of the ones that have been posted here, most people who have stuck it out get the problems fixed eventually, though I think many people give up in frustration before then.

  • Calendar Problem: Past events disappeared!

    I have the iPhone 4S. Earlier today, I was checking the Calendar app for info on a test I had last month, when I noticed that the event (along with another I had on the same day) were missing. I thought at first that maybe I had accidentally deleted them. But then I went onto the iCloud website, and the events were both still there. Then I took another look at the Calendar app, and saw that these weren't the only events missing.
    At least 3 events from earlier this month, most of the events from last month, and everything before March that wasn't one of my contact's birthdays, have disappeared.
    Current-month and future events haven't been affected, only past stuff. Everything still shows on the iCloud website, though.
    I've tried checking and un-checking and re-checking the different calendars I have (3 calendars attached to iCloud account and 3 e-mail accounts) but that doesn't seem to have had any effect.
    HELP PLEASE!! I'm not always by a computer, so having to login to iCloud to double-check events is going to become a pain in the you-know-what.

    Try going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Sync (in the Calendars section) and set this to a longer time period.

  • How I Solved the Problem of ATV Disappearing from the iTunes Devices List..

    When I purchased the ATV early this week, it was running fine until I tried to change some settings i.e. making my macbook sync to an external HDD.
    That's when the problem starts... I cannot see my ATV in the iTunes device list anymore!
    Tried all the various tips in the forum but to no avail.
    The weird thing is... if I set the connection like this..
    Macbook --- Time Capsule --- ATV (Failed to see ATV in list)
    Macbook --- ATV via Ethernet Cable (OK but problem of firewall error etc)
    Macbook --- Time Capsule (connect with Ethernet) --- ATV (Sometimes ok but have firewall problem)
    I can "see" that the ATV connects to the Time Capsule with no problem.
    However, when I tried to "ping", I found out that my Macbook cannot ping the ATV thru the Time capsule even though I can "ping" other computers connected to the TC. In this case, the ATV got the IP address via DHCP.
    The moment I changed to "Manual" IP settings, I can PING!!
    That's when iTunes can list back the ATV in the devices list!!
