how do you delete the "other" that is on the touch that you have no plans on paying for. Here Apple is enjoying the sales of there product in the 4th quarter and then when they get into the 1st quarter, along comes this "upgrade" for all those sales they already have. You haft to love the person that timed this release.

nope, not my email, the upgrade where the "new" items are put on the touch but cant be used until you pay for them, which i am not going to do. How do i delete them so i get 99.4 MB of my drive back.

If you mean that you see both version listed in Control Panel > Add and Remove Programs then you most likely only have the version with the highest number installed. You posted with a Firefox 3.6.6 user agent. It can happen that the updater didn't remove or updated the registry keys properly and left the old keys.

Verifying JVM problem and how to delete the jre on linux

I donot know is this the correct forum for this message or not but could you please help me.
I had first installed jre-1_5_0_07-linux-i586.bin on my Fedora. Then when I tried to installed sjsas_pe-8_2_2005Q2-nb-5_0-fcs-bin-linux.bin
The wizard asked me where the java sdk was or give it the path of the java. Because I had not yet installed jsdk then (Although I tried to give the path of jre).
Now I have installed jdk-1_5_0_08-linux-i586.bin but when I started to install sjsas_pe-8_2_2005Q2-nb-5_0-fcs-bin-linux.bin it show that it had started the wizard on the first line and then it display that varyfing JVM and with that it ends.
The same thing happens when I tried to install netbeans-5_0-linux.bin
So First how can I install them and second can you please tell me how can I uninstall jre from the system (is there some procedure that I had to follow or I can just simply delete the jre (jre1.5.0_07) folder.

We are on r12, i have got the request to delete back-dated concurrent request "Purge Concurrent Request and/or Manager Data', but this request doesn't delete physical file (Log File, Out Put) from server side & increasing space , Please share any program which delete the physical file on server side.Please see these docs.

How to add a new server (as shown with "server name" in management studio) and how to delete the old one?

I am using SQL Express 2008 R2. I have two servers ".\robbysqlexpress" and ".\sqlexpress". The ".\sqlexpress" server is not working. It gives error whenever I try to connect:
"Cannot connect to (local)\SQLEXPRESS.
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.
(provider: Shared Memory Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 2)"
So I want to delete this server and create a server with the same name again. So could you tell me how to do that?

Can you check that instance of server exists. deleting and recreating will not help you.
It is really a generic error(and hope your sql server instance exits -> http://community.shavlik.com/docs/DOC-23089).

Unfortunately, it does not appear to be possible (or at least practical) to only remove certain items.
However, if you want, you can reset the configuration and start from scratch.
Make sure Management Studio is closed, then delete or rename this file:
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Shell\SqlStudio.bin

Hi Experts,
My requirement is I need to add the entries from program to three custom z-tables . Assume as zabc1,zabc2,zabc3.
Here how to add the entries from program to Z-table.???
And one more requirement is I want to provide a deletion checkbox in selection screen . Initial it was unchecked. If I am giving tick mark then the entries should be deleted from above custom Z-tables. this all will done in backgroung job?
Could you please guide me the logic how to crack this???

Hi Sanjana,
What you can do is to use the ABAP keyword INSERT or MODIFY to add or modify records to a given database table. Here are the syntax taken from SAP documentation:
*Insert Statement
INSERT dbtab
Syntax
INSERT { {INTO target VALUES source }
| { target FROM source } }.
Effect
The INSERT statement inserts one or more rows specified in source in the database table specified in target. The two variants with INTO and VALUES or without INTO with FROM behave identically, with the exception that you cannot specify any internal tables in source after VALUES.
System Fields
The INSERT statement sets the values of the system fields sy-subrc and sy-dbcnt.
sy-subrc Meaning
0 At least one row was inserted.
4 At least one row could not be inserted, because the database table already contains a row with the same primary key or a unique secondary index.
The INSERT statement sets sy-dbcnt to the number of rows inserted.
Note
The inserted rows are finally included in the table in the next database commit. Up until this point, they can still be removed by a database rollback.
*Modify Statement
MODIFY dbtab
Syntax
MODIFY target FROM source.
Effect
The MODIFY statement inserts one or several lines specified in source in the database table specified in target, or overwrites existing lines.
System fields

I have a Nokia XL but do not understand the various kind of memories in the phone. My phone has an 8 GB micro SD card inside. What the different among Internal storage, Phone storage and Memory card when I go to Setting/storage?. I found the Phone storage at Setting/storage has the same amount with Memory card at Setting/Apps/Manage apps/Memory card. What will happen if I use Clear phone storage function?

Memory Card is your external SD card that you manually inserted.
Internal and Phone are the two 2GB + 2GB internal storage built into the phone. Both are mojorly the same, but one carries the base OS and the other keeps the other internal file system of your phone.
I don't have a solid clue with what happens if you clear the phone storage, but the general underthings says that it will clear all that you have installed on your phone. i.e the Apps and other downloaded files that reside in the phone memory will be wiped.

My "other" file is stealing my storage space and my local apple store has no idea how to find out what is in it let alone how to clear it so I can upgrade to iOS 7. He thinks my iPad is not really deleting things but storing it here.

You uncheck the music in your iTunes library on your computer and along with sync only checked songs and videos selected under the Summary selection for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, only checked songs in your iTunes library will be transferred to your iPhone or remain on your iPhone and the unchecked songs in your iTunes library that are currently on your iPhone will be removed when syncing.
Or make use of iTunes playlists and choose selected playlists, albums, artists under the Music selection for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes and select the playlists below that you want transferred to your iPhone.

After upgrading to 8.1 Pro from 8.0 Pro, my Storage Spaces and Storage Pool are all gone.

Under 8.0 I had three 4-terabyte drives set up as a Storage Pool in Storage Spaces. I had five storage-space drives using this pool I had
been using them for months with no problems. After upgrading to 8.1 ( which gave no errors ) the drives no longer exist. Going into "Storage Spaces" in the control panel, I do not see my existing storage pool or storage drives. I'm prompted
to create a new Pool and Storage Spaces. If I click the "Create Pool" it does not list the three drives I used previously as available to add.
Device Manager shows all three drives as present and OK.
Disk Management shows Disks 0,1,2,6. The gap in between 2 and 6 is where the 3,4,5 storage spaces drives were.
Nothing helpful in the event log or the services.
I've downloaded the ReclaiMe Storage Spaces recovery tool and it sees all of my logical drives with a "good" prognosis for recovery. I've not gone down that road yet though because it requires separate physical drives to copy everything to
and they want $299 for the privilege.
Does anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking of doing a fresh 8.1 install to another drive to see if it can see it or reinstalling 8.1 to the existing drive in the hope that it will just suddenly work. Or possibly going back to 8.0.

Those are the data of the installed apps. Don't listen if someone says that it's an iOS, because it is not. On your iPhone, go to general > usage. It will show you all the programs installed on your iPhone. If you click any of them you will see how much of "others" it has (documents and data)
There's no way to delete it if you want to still have those apps. You can reinstal those which has the most "others" but after some time of usage, it will raise again.
