Storage space too low to function

After hotsync procedure, Palm TX now says "Extensions are not loaded because free data storage space on the device is low. Delete application or data then reset the device again. APP8004" After pressing "OK" it says "the free data storage space is very low. Delete application or data. APP 8002." Problem is it won't let me go the home screen - it just goes back through these warnings. How do I delete a program or two to free up space. My PDA has downloaded medical programs on it that were required for school. I don't yet have any documents or emails to delete. Help!

Whoops! Missed the part about not being able to get to the home screen!
Try a "Warm Reset". Press and hold the UP direction on your 5-way pad, and tap and release the Reset button in the back. Release the UP direction when the grey Palm logo appears on the screen.
This is like a "safe mode" boot on a Windows PC. It may let you get to the launcher screen and the Delete menu.

Hi Gurus
I am new with this alert, every things are okay every things are fine nothing bad.
But from last three days I got some alert on my TEC Console is that "The percentage of avalible storage space is low" on sun server. One interested thing this alert is disapper within 2-3 minutes then after 6-7 hours its appers again this routine is contunues from last three days. I checked the all storage, array its alls are looking good they had enough space.
Please any ideas...

There may be any logger intentially written for this. There might be an echo being sent. You may look for this too.

Your Time Capsule disk is low on storage space - error

I am getting the error "Your Time Capsule disk is low on storage space." and it now flashes amber. I use the time capsule to set up a wireless network and I can no longer access the internet from my MapBook Pro in another room, only if I am next to the Time Capsule. Help!!! Why is my time capsule low on storage space? I thought it is suppose to delete the old backups to make room for the new backups.

Those are two different, independent, things.
Since you can use a Time Capsule for things besides backups, there's a built-in warning (the flashing light) when it gets near full (exactly how full is not clear).
Time Machine is separate; when it doesn't have space for a new backup, it will delete the oldest backup(s) as necessary, if it can, to make room for new ones.
The handling is a bit different, though, for Leopard vs. Snow Leopard.
In Leopard, if you have the +Warn when old backups are deleted+ box checked in Time Machine Preferences > Options, it will fail with a message. All you have to do is remove the check.
In Snow Leopard, it will delete old backups as necessary, do the backup, then send a message if you have the box, now worded +Warn after old backups are deleted,+ checked.

Files in Storage Spaces taking WAY too much space

If you look at the following two Images:
You'll notice that while I have only 629 GB of files on the Storage Space, it is taking up an astounding 2.45 TB in my Storage Space. With the two-way mirror I have set up it should only be about 1.26 TB. I'm not sure can someone explain as to why my files
are taking up 4X the amount of space they should?

I made a test in our test enviroment, it seems like the phenomenon you encountered is system design by default.
Generally speaking, when you create a new storage pool, and put some file into it. The value of Using *** pool capacity should 3X bigger than the practical capacity. While if you set the Storage Pool too big, it would produce error. The greater the
number, the greater the error.

Treo 755p The free data storage space on the device is low. Some data could not be saved

After having the Treo 755p device for only a week, I am receiving a message "The free data storage space on the device is low. Some data could not be saved." I have over 55 mb of free space according to the device info page. I cannot find anything about this in the knowledge library, can anyone offer help?

My problems are similar to Lauren, but backwards. For months now I have had problems with my Treo 755 reseting randomly. Sometimes during calls, sometimes while typing, sometimes while just sitting in the holster. As many as a dozen a day and then not at all for 2 weeks, no rhyme nor reason. This Free Space error though is brand new to me today and quite strange. The error is showing up when I bring my phone out of "sleep". I press the end button to sleep the phone and everything is fine. When I press it again to wake the phone up the error is sitting behind the keylock waiting for me.
Obviously I have done nothing yet for this new memory error, but I've tried everything for the reseting. Deleting software, Soft and hard resets, software updates, everything I and Sprint support can think of. With this new Free space error now I am going to just take it to a service center and demand a new phone. I think there is some kind of hardware error as I have done nothing in the programming. No new programs, no deleted programs, no changed settings.
I loved my Treo 650 and never had any problems with it. I am getting very disappointed in Palm now though with these ridiculous problems.

Photoshop requires 512 Meg of VRAM or more to use the 3D features - that's been the same for version 14 (CC) and now 15 (CC 2014). Check Help->System Info to see how much your card says it has.

"Your Time Capsule Disk is Low on Storage Space" What are my options?

Hi I just got a message from Airport Utility that my Time Capsule is low on Disk space. My 500 GB Time Capsule only has 25GB of space left. What do I do? Do I have to purchase a 1GB Time Capsule. Can I simply replace my 500 GB Time Capsule with a 1GB Time Capsule. Will the new Time Capsule remember all my network and computer settings? Thanks

You didn't mention if you were using Time Machine for your backups to your Time Capsule, but I will assume that you are.
Some users reason that they don't need all the backups from many months ago and elect to erase the TC and start over with a complete backup. The risk here is that you have no backup until the new full backup is completed.
And, if you have transferred files from your computer to the TC and then deleted the files on your computer, you lose those files if the TC is erased.
In theory, you don't need to do anything as Time Machine will simply start to delete the oldest versions of backups to make room for new backups. My 500 GB TC ran out of space a few months ago. I used to be able to see how my computer looked a year ago. Now, I can see how how it looked about 11 months ago.
If you want to preserve every backup since day one, then you will need to add more storage space. If you purchase a new Time Capsule, Time Machine backups will continue on the new machine.
If you get a new Time Capsule, there would be very little configuration required. Basically, the new device would be setup as a bridge to the old Time Capsule using a short ethernet cable. You would need to reset Time Machine by pointing it at the new Time Capsule for backups.

Does iCloud use up storage space on my MacBook too? When I copied files from an external drive to my iCloud drive, my available space on my MacBook went from 40GB free to less than 2 GB. I thought iCloud was separate storage where I can free up space on my MacBook.

To free up space you want to look for:
1) files you no longer need. Omni DiskSweeper will help you see what's on the SSD.
2) if you use iPhoto be aware that it has its own trash can. If you delete files from iPhoto you must then right click on the iPhoto trash can and select delete or the pictures remain on the hard drive.
3) look for movies, tv shows, digital photos and music you can move to an external drive or mini-flash drive and then delete from the SSD. These are very large files so you can free up lots of space with just a few deletions. Example: my entire Documents folder is smaller than one two hour movie.

I suspect that the "other" category is large. like > 1Gb and that it contains corrupt file. Restore the iPod delete the corrupted files.

I have a 16GB iphone but am an avid music lover. I own tons of music. I have iMatch and iCloud. As of right now my phone says I only use about half of the storage space on it in audio. Very litle is used for apps or pictures. I have another half of the storage space in a category called "Other". What is in that category? I would really like to add more music however my storage keeps stating I am almost full and need to manage. I would delete things if I thought it would make more room but it seems to take very little room off when I remove apps and pictures and does not really affect the other category. Someone please help describe what is in that category and how I can change add more room. Thank you!

Hi basis friends,we are performing incremental backup from mon-fri.from past two days i was getting error message as 'data base cache hit ratio is too low (97.3,98)and increase buffer pool size value.what is the problem for this error message? how can i overcome this error? give me detail analysis to the issue please.

Hello Nani,
The database buffer cache hit ratio is the proportion of Oracle logical reads that do not require operating system (OS) read calls.
When an Oracle session accesses a block, Oracle executes an instruction path that determines whether or not that block is already in the database buffer cache. We refer to this instruction path as an Oracle logical I/O call.. If the block is not in the buffer cache, then Oracle will execute an OS read call. We refer to this as a physical I/O call.It must be ideally close to 99% and since in your case it is low,that is why you are getting these errors
Now to increase this you will have to increase the vakue of shortbuffer pool size as suggested by Tivolii.
Fo that you wil have to increase the value of parameter DB_CACHE_SIZE if you are using Oracle 9i.

Macintosh HD space seem too low

When I changed over from a PC to a MB in June this year I had a 60 GB HD in the PC of which I had only used 30 GB.
Today looking at the space left on my MB HD it's showing only 39 GB free out of a 120 GB HD! is there any way in Tiger to show were all the HD space is being used?

You can easily check the storage space being used by individual folders by right clicking on the folder and selecting 'Get Info' from the menu, it will provide you a readout of how much drive space is being used by that folder. If you find one using a lot of drive space, drill down a bit more until you can locate the offending file or folder!

Yes you could, Macs can read Windows formatted iPods. If you only have the songs on the iPod, and have any iTMS purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there's a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to your Mac. If you prefer something more automated there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection.
