How to store multiple files from SAp in to Application server?
Hi Guys,
Can anybody tell me how to store multiple files from SAP into Application server.in my application i have to get the data from SAP tables BSEG , BKPF , BSAK and BSIK that to daily i have to do.
Any Logic or Code for how to do is welcomed.
plz help me urgently.
Thanks,
GopiHi,
directories creates basis. If you have task to store data in application server you already should have information into which folder you have to do it. If you don't have this information because it is just for example training for next task then you can use your personal folder into which you have access. To get list of all available folders please look at attached code and form get_directories (you get the list of folders you see in transaction AL11). But don't forget: If you are using open dataset you have to have rights to access application folder!
Here you are code which I use to upload text files from local disc into application folder

Karol

Store PDF File in Oracle database 10g
Hi all,
I want to store PDF File in Oracle database 10g,
and then I want to access the pdf file using Oracle Developer 6i
can anyone tell me how to do this,
thanks in advance.This question has already been posted a lot of times.....
See the following:

Greetings,
Sim -
I have an iMac with 2 internal drives and a multiple user account set-up. Hw do I create a path to store data files on the second drive within an application?
This is the Mac mini forum not the iMac forum however...
Applications written for average users like Photoshop, Word, i.e. GUI based applications provide a 'Save' dialog box which while allow selecting second drives or any drive. The dialob box initially shown might be in the simple mode but you just need to click on the triangle to show the full set of options. You should then see the different drive names amongst other options.
If your referring to an application your writing yourself then you need to build a pathname. This can be in one of two styles depending on the programming system your using. This could be a POSIX style path or a Mac style path.
POSIX = /Volumes/volname/foldername
Mac style = Volname:foldername: -
Adobe Acrobat XI pro version, Windows 7, running on iMac parallels, converting pdf to a pdf with reduced size is not possible, error: error in converting the file! What to do? Its a bit annoying not to be able to store pdf files in reduced size, any idea?? Thanks, Jörg
Hi Jorg ,
Are you trying to reduce the file size with the "Reduced size PDF" in the save as other option.
Give it a try if you haven't done it prior.
Open that PDF>File>Save as Other>Reduced size PDF.
If possible ,please share the snapshot of the error message with us so that we can have a look in order to assist you further.

My Mac Mail program no longer stores any files in my Sent folder. Moreover, the sent folder (off to the left) contains a highlighted "1" as if something is in there.
When I try to send an e-mail message, it simply spins.
This is new behavior for my Laptop of three years. Usually, I have lots of messages in my Sent folder and can easily send e-mail.
I see no discussion forum for "Mail" or for "e-mail" so I raise this question here.
I would appreciate any help anyone might offer.
Thanks.
norman from akronThank you for your reply. Turns out, re-started my Macbook later and the problem disappeared. Could this have helped?

I just bought an external drive to move and archive some files off my iMac to free up some space. I'm being asked if I want to use the drive to back up files with Time Machine. Can I use this drive to do both? (Back up with TM AND store other files?
Your input is appreciated.Technically you can but it is not a very good idea at all. The reason it is a flawed idea is if the HD fails (not really if but when) you will have defeated the whole idea of backup. A failure means you will lose the data files you stored on it and it's backup! A good backup plan has at least 2 forms of backup because backups can fail too. I would strongly recommend getting at least one additional external HD and use it for storing the data files you wanted off the internal HD and use the second for a Time Machine backup drive.
Personally I have 3 external HD's attached to my computer. Disk 1 is my Time Machine backup, Disk 2 is a Bootable Clone of my internal HD and Disk 3 stores my music, photography and movie libraries.
Please read these articles, they will discuss different backup strategies and I think you will see that each suggest redundant backups.
Backup Plan I
Backup Plan II
Backup Plan III -
I don't store any files on my computer, I store them on a hd. Can I restore docs from my hard drive if they were backed up using time machine? And will it restore if the hd isn't even there? Like what if it got stolen or destroyed.
ehphotograph wrote:

Yes.
And will it restore if the hd isn't even there? Like what if it got stolen or destroyed.
Also yes.
Directly-connected external drives (ie, USB, FireWire, Thunderbolt) are not backed-up by default. You must remove them from the exclusion list in Time Machine Preferences > Options to get them backed-up. (Network drives cannot be backed-up.)
And they must be formatted for a Mac -- any variation of Mac OS Extended.
If the drive is connected, you can browse or restore normally -- just go to the folder or document in question and Enter Time Machine.
If the drive is not connected, it's a bit different. See #E3 of Time Machine - Troubleshooting.

How to store the File Name from a Unix Directory into a ODI variable?
Hi,
I have built a ODI package with the following steps:
1. ODI is polling for a flat file in a Unix directory. I have used OdiFileWait tool for this purpose. Here the file name is not fixed, so I am using wild character (*) to poll for file. Example: DF*ABC1*.DAT where the first wild character denotes 1 letter and the second wild character denotes 2 digits.
2. In the second step, if the file is found, I am moving the file to ODI file server path (../oracledi/demo/file). Here I have used ODIFileMove tool.
3. Then I am using an ODI Interface to Load the file data into a Oracle database table.
4. I am using a Process log table to keep the log for each step I am executing in ODI that is ODIFileWait, ODIFileMove, Interface etc. for each file. In this table a row needs to be inserted after ODIFileWait tool gets the file, with the File Name and File Date. Later on this row will be updated as the consequent steps are executed.
Here is my concern, I need to get the exact File Name of the file after ODIFileWait gets the file and I need to insert that in the Process Log table after the ODIFileWait step gets a file. So if I can store the File Name in a ODI Variable, I can insert it into the Process log table at this point. This I am not able to do.
The files are coming in a different directory (not in ODI file server path), So after getting the file it is moved to ODI file server path (../oracledi/demo/file)
The Files which I am processing are fixed length format. Also, the File name and File Date is stored in the 1st Record(Header record) of the files.
Kindly provide me suggestions to implement this in my code.
Thanks and Regards,
Anik

change the command to fetch the ls command and write into File and then using either java or jython break the data and fetch the file name and date and insert into log table.
(or)
you can use the os.system command and get the complete ls command into string and then process and insert it.
Let us know if you need any other help. -

I am getting an error message with my snap scan ix500 that says the Evernote is not installed properly when I try to transfer it. I have uninstalled/reinstalled evernote and the scan snap softward but it still doesn't work. Anyone know where evernote stores their files on a Mac? Or had this problem.
Are there any dialog boxes popping up behind your Yahoo screen?
I have intermittent problems attaching files in Yahoo mail and this is usually the reason. I'm also using an iMac (10.7.3) and this is likely the problem.
It is generally a Yahoo issue rather than a Mac problem. -
Can I store video files (from digital camera) on my 30GB ipod?
I'm leaving next week for holidays and I am looking for a storage device. I don't want to take my laptop with me as it is my employers. I want to be able to store video files from my Sony DSC-W30 camera. Does anyone know if the camera connection will work for this?

Well in case anyone was wondering. It works. You can't view them but they are all there. It is an excellent way to have digital storage device on the road. It does eat into the battery charge quite a bit though. Make sure it is well charged before you import photo's and video's. -

Step 5 open the stored pdf-file:
Please create a when-mouse-doubleclick trigger on your filename-item:
declare
l_temp_file constant varchar2(255) := client_win_api_environment.get_environment_string ( 'Temp' ) || '\temp.pdf';
begin
if
:pdf.filename is not null
then
if
webutil_file_transfer.db_to_client ( l_temp_file, 'PDF', 'PDF', ' id_pdf = ''' || :pdf.id_pdf || '''' )
then
client_host ( 'cmd /C start ' || l_temp_file );
else
Message ( 'Failure while downloading ' || :pdf.filename || ' from the database. ' || dbms_error_text );
Message ( ' ' );
clear_message;
end if;
else
Message ( 'No PDF-file selected.' );
Message ( ' ' );
clear_message;
end if;
end;Save your form, compile and run it.
Execute a query on the pdf-block and doubleclick your filename item.
Now you can read your forms reference pdf direct from the database :).

How to store any file in database using Forms? EVEN non OLE Compliant
I have to store and retrieve any file (not only image and OLE compatilble file) in the database and retrieve it later without using Forms and email it using java stored procedure. How do I do that?
I used OLE, but the problem with this is later when I retrieve it, some OLE specific control information is also retrieved, which means the data stored is not only pure data.
In the forms, I just want to give the file name and it should store that file into the database as we do with READ_IMAGE_FILE. Is there any way of achieving this?
Thank you.
