Storedge 3510 changed logical path after installation

Hi everyone!
I have a E450 with 2 HBA conneted to a Storedge 3510, and I installed Solaris 10, but after that my storedge 3510 changed the original LUN's logical path. For example:
Before installation: c4t600601608ED80800C109FE8C4652DB11d0s2
After installation: c4t45d0
Does anybody know why I see this in a different way???
I need the old name!!!

You use direct connections or FC-switch?
I not sure but some-times can be damaged /kernel/drv/fp.conf

Because I had problems with the view of most Web pages in Firefox, I uninstalled the program. Then I installed 9 Firefox.
Since then, the Web pages are not good with the displayed font. Almost all text is bold or italic.
This is, after installation, also the case with Google Chrome and even in Microsoft Word. In Microsoft Word could I still only get letters bold font Times New Roman

Changed drive letter after installation of Creative Suite, cannot open by double clicking file.

Recently my computer died so I had to put my harddrive in another computer. The drive letter was different from my old drive. I didn't notice this at first and re-installed all my software that I wiped for a new Windows install on the partition (including the Creative Suite).
When I tried to open another program that relied on the old install of the drive - it failed. So I changed the letter back to what it was originally as loads of programs installed on that drive relied on it.
Of course when I changed the letter path of the drive all my Adobe Suite related files are no longer associated with the programs. When I try to manually open the file with the program - eg. E:/Program Files(x86)/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop/Photoshop.exe it doesn't set the default program, so every time I have to open photoshop and browse to the file I want to open (ctrl+O).
Any solutions to this without installing the suite again?

I've tried by going through this dialogue here:
When I try to use the .exe to open the .psd it doesn't set it as a choice as if I didn't select it. I can set the default program to open it to notepad, hl2.exe etc. etc. but not the program im after.
P.S. I don't know my login details because they are saved automatically at home. Hence new account.

Changing Logical System after System Copy

We just did a system copy of our Production system onto our QA system. I created the new Logical Name (QR3) through BD54 but when I try to change it in SCC4, it will not allow me to.
Do I need to make this change through another transaction?

another way to change the logical system
name is to run /nbdls with the system copy option.
This will also create the logical system name
and update the scc4 entry for you. As well
as that it will change all reference to the old
logical system name to the new one.
This is especially important if your SAP system
connects to others eg CRM, BW, APO etc.

Can I change the IP after installation?

I bought a mini to help in migrating my limping old g4 tiger that has customized web and mailman services to Leopard. Since I have a day job and am only borderline literate in command-line tasks, I was planning on doing a clean install on the Mini and then once it is working, moving it into production. As I recall, it was a real problem changing IPs once the machine was configured. Is that still the case?

Something to note.
I setup a server and after changing the IP address I ran into some strange issues. They were not show stoppers but here is what I found.
The old ip address persists under the Replica Tree for Open Directory. It is also listed under every user and a few config variables in the ldap database. Due to this when I captured packets while diagnosing connection problems. I would see my computer trying to contact the old address.
I corrected all the entries in ldap database but it didn't "Fix" the Replica Tree list.
One last problem for me... Directory Util, adding the OD server with SSL but that's another thread.

Is it possible to change /u01 size after installation?

Hi, i have installed oracle linux and by mistake i kept /u01 size as 2GB. Which should have been 8-10 GB.
Now can i change it? Please advise.

It is possible but depends on the underlying hardware design and OS features used. Terms like physical disk, partition, virtual disk, logical volume management come into play, which require more more information to be able to answer your question.

What's OS ?
By domain, do you mean Windows Domain or Domain Name System (DNS) ?
It's ok to change IP as long as
- make sure the listener is configured correctly after the change
- make sure all applications connecting to the database aware of the change, modify tnsnames.ora and conection string etc.
- you may need to reconfigure dbconsole or OMS agent if you use them.

Change media path during installation of iTunes

I'm trying to re-package the software. This seems to work fine beside some "glitches". One of it is that the media path per default is set to "Music\iTunes" which is - in this environment - included in the roaming part of the profile. So I was asked to "shift" the media path to the local part of the profile (non-roaming). Excluding "Music" from roaming seems to be no option here.
Switching the location to another part of the profile gives me a headache as it's still "variable" (not like D:\iTunes or so). As far as I understood the path is stored in a file called "iTunes Library.itl" and this file seems to be not editable to me. Any idea how to 'tweak' the path into during the installation or may be during first startup of the program without user interaction?

The iTunes Library.itl file is the library itself. I believe the location of the active library is stored in:
<AppData>\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunesPrefs.xml
under the key iTunes Library Location:1 however it is not stored in plain text so you may need to experiment a bit to find out whether you can simply copy over an existing iTunesPrefs.xml file that targets a fixed location like the root of a drive, e.g. D:\iTunes, as part of your distribution (yes, I note that you don't really want a fixed path) or if you can decipher the encoding scheme you could patch the xml file to a provide a customised path. Alternatively you ought to be able to reconfigure the user account such that <User's Music> is stored outside of the roaming profile before iTunes is installed. By default iTunes will create its initial library at <User's Music>\iTunes where it reads <User's Music> from the registry.
Note also that the iTunes library doesn't function properly if placed at the end of a folder redirection, although this can, and probably should, be used to relocate any MobileSync\Backup folder as these too can grow quite large and you probably don't want them as part of a roaming profile, or on an SSD startup drive.

Hi,
You can use 'emctl setproperty agent'.
1: stop the agent
2: emctl setproperty agent -name EMD_URL -value https://hostname.domain:port/emd/main/
3: start agent
Note that this procedure will change the agent port but will not update the agent target name (which includes the port number).

Do not change the hostname after the installation, if you need to then you have to perform system copy.

How can i change the default path of installation

I had creative cloud for a while. Today i changed the default installing folder, from the creative cloud settings/prefferences(can't remember) menu, from C to D. Then i uninstalled all the programs from adobe cs6 to take the new cc programs. When i want to reinstall adobe creative cloud it is installing on D and since there is no operating sistem on D i can't install the creative cloud. It keeps installing on D. How can i change the default path of installation if i uninstalled creative cloud?

Or how can I change the prefered installation folder that can be changed from creative cloud menu/prefferences when i have uninstalled creative cloud?

Change logical system names after system copy

Hi!
We successfully installed SAP ECC 6.0 system as system copy.
All the logical system names of old system have been copied to new system.
Question
What is the approach to change the logical system names for new SAP system?
a) just via tcode SCC4
b) via BDLS
c) other tcodes, reports

After system copy,
If you need to change logical system names in the system that results from the copy, change the logical system names as described in SAP Notes 103228 and 544509.

Before running BDLS to change the logical system name, you have to define the correct logical system name in the new copied system. in tcode BD54.
- while running BDLS, execute in background.
