StoredProcedures On MySQL

EU criei duas StoredProcedures no MySQL 5.0.5 que funcionam perfeitamente bem quando eu as acesso via PHP, mas dá erro no ColdFusion e eu não sei porque... gostaria de ter ajuda.

If I remember well, stored procedures started with MySQL 5. The JDBC driver of the MySQL version that comes with your Coldfusion version may therefore be older than the one your procedure requires. To test this, install a new driver, as follows:
1) Download the MySQL 5.0.51 JDBC driver or, preferably, the most recent community version, 5.0.77.
2) Stop Coldfusion. Go to the folder {CF_wwwroot}/WEB-INF/lib/ and move any file of type mysql-connector-java-x.x.x-bin.jar to your documents directory. Should anything go wrong, you will have to restore this file back to its original location.
3) Unpack the zip file you downloaded in step 1. Copy the JAR file to the directory {CF_wwwroot}/WEB-INF/lib/
4) Restart ColdFusion
5) In the ColdFusion Administrator, add a new data source for your stored procedure, using the driver option Other
6) Enter the JDBC URL. It should be something like
jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/myDatabaseName
7)Enter the Driver Class:
com.mysql.jdbc.Driver
8) Enter the MySQL username and password
9) Press the button to verify the settings
10) Run the code containing the stored procedure

  • Anyone inserted data directly from Oracle 11g to MySQL?

    Hi There,
    We work mainly on Oracle 11g. However, there is a requirement to now connect to an external MySQL database from our company's Oracle Database. Would be trying to do this for the first time. The process would be to download the data using PL/SQL from the ORacle 11g DB and then insert the data into the MySQL DB table. Had a few questions,
    1. Are there any known issues with connections between ORacle as source and MySQL as target. Anything that needs to be kept in mind?
    2. How do we send the data to MySQL, I mean in PL/SQL we can have the procedure create the insert statements. But can we directly fire the insert on MySQL ? If yes, any suggestions on what the commands would be?
    3.Any way to figure out if the insert was successful?
    4. We might also have to do other operations like update/delete etc.
    5. Any possible reference or sample code on this would also help.

    Well, the simplest and most direct approach would be to create a java function in the database to perform the operation and call it from pl/sql. I've done it before and there are examples out there and its a pretty straight-forward process.

    If you're going to be doing this for more than a handful of tables under very controlled circumstances keeping it synchronized is going to be a mess, however.

  • Portable way to call Stored Procs. which return a ResultSet (MySQL/Oracle)?

    Hello!
    I have developed a Java application which calls stored procedures, some of which return a ResultSet (always one).
    I need to support more DBMS vendors, so I used the standard JDBC syntax to call the stored procedures ({call storedProcedure(?,?)}).
    I developed the code using MySQL, but succeded to call SQL Server 2000 stored procedures changing only the driver (that's the purpose of JDBC, right?).
    Now I need to support the Oracle DBMS, but I can't find a way to create a stored procedure which returns a result set and allows me not to change the already stable Java code.
    How could I achieve this result? Should I use some other Oracle object, say a function?
    By the way, I searched the Internet, but only found solutions which would've made me change code. This is definitely not portable

    PS: Some of the stored procedures return both a ResultSet AND OUT parameters.

    However, keeping useless "philosophy" out of this thread, please just let me clarify that I obviously didn't want portability of stored procedures, I just wanted a standard JDBC to interface with them. I haven't had problems in the past with stored procedures and other DBMSs, I'm having them just now with the Oracle JDBC driver. Since JDBC is meant to be portable, I hoped there was a portable way of calling Oracle stored procedures (or whatever else in Oracle takes inputs and returns output and a ResultSet...). Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any, unless I use a commercial driver from DataDirect. I find this a heavy limitation of the Oracle JDBC driver, but, alas, here it is... I'll have to refactor my stable code...

    How i know the jdbc driver not compatible to this
    mechanismBy reading the documentation tthat comes with your driver. Recent versions of the MySQL JDBC driver do support the getExportedKeys/ImportegKeys methods but the table needs to be crated as InnoDB.
    So run the SQL command
    show table statusWhats under the Type column for your table? If it isn't InnoDB then this isn't going to work.
    If it is InnoDB but getExportedKeys/ImportegKeys still don't work then you haven't used the "foreign key" constraint in your "create table" command

    The point is that, I want the user to fill the form inside the Test view and click submit, and when the submit is clicked, I want a new entry in the new table to be created. But first of course I need to create the table. Should I create it using SQL query
    through MySQL workbench? If yes, then how can I connect the new table with my code? I guess I need some DB context but don't know how to do it. If someone can post some code example, I would be glad.

  • Issue in bringing up CRS on ATG 10.1.1 with MySQL and Weblogic 10.3

    I am trying to bring up Commerce Reference Store as part of my evaluation using MySQL (bundled with ATG) and WebLogic 10.3.
    I followed the ATG Documentation on CRS with WebLogic and MySQL and I could not proceed because of the below error log. I keep getting error in OnlineCreateServerInstanceTask of CIM. I believe it should be some configuration problem, but could not think of any.
    As part of the installation, I use C:\jdk1.6.0_25. I verified my weblogic server is up through the admin console. I started MySQL before running the eval batch. Apart from starting MySQL server, I did not make any datasource/database configuration changes for ATG. I have not run any other scripts to configure MySQL too.
    Please guide me to resolve the problem.

    This error is resolved after following the logs in C:\ATG\ATG10.1.1\CIM\log\cim.log. The root cause is I used http as protocol instead of t3 while specifying weblogic admin url.

  • Conversion of Mysql query in oracle acceptable query format

    Hi
    I have successfully converted my MySql database in oracle. Now the problem is how to execute already written hundreds of Mysql query on the oracle. There are many syntax variation in Mysql query format which is not acceptable for oracle.
    For Example
    Select case_id as 'this is alias' from cases
    The above query can run on Mysql database but have problem while executing Oracle, because single quotes should be replaced with double quotes before executing it on oracle. There are also many other syntax conflicts.
    I have tried to resolve the problem through SwisSQLAPI but problem still exist as SwisSQLAPI is not dealing with all syntax conflict. In my case (select if (expresion, true,false)) must be replace with decode (expression, value,true,false) function of oracle and this conversion is not supported by SwisSQLAPI.

    The problem with trying to port from one language (mysql SQL) to another (oracle SQL) is that there's generally no hard rules for a computer to follow, that it will get it 100% correct.
    Look at babelfish when you translate a foreign language to English. The end result is readable (usually), but it's rarely completely correct.
    The problem is when you feed something into Oracle SQL, it needs to be 100% correct.
    All you can really do here is rewrite these queries. It shouldn't actually take as long as you think, because 50% of queries will generally need very minor changes you can do in a minute, and 25% won't need any changes at all.

  • Date syntax for MySql query in SQL Reporting Services

    I am currently trying to link a mysql Stored Procedure to a Microsoft SQL Reporting Server. It is coming up with a Syntax error. I believe this is down to the
    Date_from and Date_to Parameters. The query is below any help would be appreciated

  • Snort error since recent mysql update

    Is anybody else seeing this error message when they execute snort?  I'm not sure if this is my setup or a bug that needs to be reported.
    "snort: error while loading shared libraries: libmysqlclient.so.14: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
    This error returns when executing either the snort binary in the Arch snort package or a self compiled snort binary.
    The libmysqlclient.so.14 file does exist, it is here:

  • Can't update in mysql

    I am using JSP and MYSQL with a bean that does my database work.
    my search.jsp looks up records, when I click edit it sends the values to my inventory_admin.jsp

    Couple of pointers.
    1 - use [ code ] tags to post code
    2 - that is WAY too much code for more than a cursory glance. You're lucky the problem was easy to spot.
    Your problem lies in your edit JSP form:
    <td>Product Name:</td>
    <td><input name="description" type="text" value="<jsp:getProperty name="inventoryBean" property="item" />"></td>Note that the name of the input field is different from the jsp property you are populating it with.
    In fact, all of your input fields have a name of "description"
    I would recommend on your inventory_admin.jsp page that you put the following debugging code to make sure that the parameter values come through and are set correctly.

  • How can i access a mysql table without putting the data in a datagrid

    I developed my air app with a datagrid which uses a php service to display all data from a table of strings in MySql.
    I now do not need the datagrid, how can i get the data from my database without putting it into a dataGrid? Do i need an array? how do i do this? anyone got any example code?

    however, how would i generate a result handler for a service that has not been called yet? Sorry my knowledge of services is very limited.
    This is a php service, get_all service that returns all the rows from a mysql table.
    I can see the service box with the service i want to use:
