Stories not behaving: stills seem to be the erratic culprits, but why?
I have a 16:9 project (in DVDSP 4.2.0) with a series of short video clips. Between each one on the timeline I have a menu (Button Highlight, infinite wait, still is 1 second long) I also have a 3 second still before the next video clip. I have created a story for the "Play All" function. This plays a clip, then jumps to the 3 second still then plays the next clip and so on (ie skipping all the menus and their infinite waits). This worked a treat in the previous version of DVDSP, but is all over the place now. Sometimes the video freezes for 3 seconds, while the final 3 seconds of audio plays, then jumping to the next clip, which plays fine. Sometimes the still appears but is heavily pixelated with green bits.
The stills are all 853x480jpegs
Any suggestions??
It appears that part of my problem is an ongoing drama with DVD Player (reported elsewhere) but the weird part is that I have now determined that the issue is NOT with the chapters, or the stories or the buttons over video, but actually with the stills! These are all jpegs and are 853x480 so shouldn't really be that taxing should they? Is there a different format that might work better? The DVD plays fine on other machines, but of course it would be nice for all of you to be able to enjoy my work on your Macs too!

when I plug my iPhone in to my computer, iTunes doesn't recognize it as a device. I have deleted and re-downloaded iTunes twice which seems to fix the problem temporarily but then the next time I plug my phone in, the device is not recognized.
What happens if you go to iTunes > File > Devices, do you get the option to Sync iPhone?

i have made many purchase on app but when i want to made an in-app purchase of a game, it appears "your purchase could not be completed". i have disabled the restriction already but it still doesn't work. anyone can give a hint or a hand here? cheers~~~

Ok I rented a movie off of iTunes and it worked but then I got an update so I did it not it still says I have the movie but I can't fined it .. It tells me to go to my downloads ?
You can do it by manually managing music and videos. See:

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar.
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions -
Mail does not create new emails based on the highlighted mailbox, but rather according the receiving mailbox of whatever individual email happens to be highlighted. This was not the case prior to Lion. Is this a bug or an error on my part? (I do have the setting for creating new emails from the highlighted mailbox checked.)
The questions about time was not only because of thinking about the Time Machine, but also possible impact on recognizing which messages remaining on a POP server (doesn't apply to IMAP) have been already downloaded. In the Mail folder, at its root level, in Mail 3.x there is a file named MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded3 that should prevent duplicate downloading -- some servers may not communicate the best with respect to that, and the universal index must certainly be involved in updating that index file. If it corrupts, it can inhibit proper downloading. However, setting the account up in a New User Account and having the same problem does not point that way, unless your POP3 server is very different from most.
That universal index is also typically involved when messages are meant to be moved from the Inbox to another mailbox -- in Mail 3.x the message does not move, but rather is copied, and then erased from the origin mailbox. That requires updating the Envelope Index to keep track of where the message is, and should keep track of where it is supposed to have been removed after the "Move".

I have iphoto 6 and my pictures are no longer showing. I have tried importing them but it just give me an error msg. (file format not recognized) I have tried rebuilding the iphoto library but that doesn't work either. Any suggestions?
How did you rebuild?
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"><b><u>iPhoto Library Manager</b></u></a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 6* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Roll Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption. -
iCloud not allow login.

I uploaded the latest X Yosemite and fond that Aperture did not work. Then I started the new Picture but are not able to upload all my pictures (app half of them) have anybody had the same issue? and can potentially advise me on how to fix it?
Thanls Ernie. I found the solution. My problem was previous to 10.10.3. It looks like the installation of final cut and uninstallation of fcp delte a plugins that was needed for Aperture. I recover from time machine my plugins in Library/frameworks/plugin.manager.framework and now Aperture works ! Ouf....
